obviously kiku for the character bingo! but if you want to do others, how about franky?

Such a SUPER request, I can't not do both. Let's knock out Franky, Kiku's a-coming. This is a tricky one because I have to be honest about two things. One, not to say I don't like the guy but someone's gotta be my least favorite of the ensemble. Two...I probably would not say the same about a parallel universe where we're talking about Paulie the Shipwright. I really liked Paulie and thought he could have brought a lot to the table. That said, I've come to really enjoy Franky a lot more over the years!

The man's such a silly goofball...but I feel like he never gets enough credit for how damn talented he is! Man's built tanks, mechs, all kinds of gizmos on top of modifying his own body to such a degree! But all the while marches to the beat of his own drum and ain't no one going to stop him. I like how he plays off of other characters in the crew. Any moment where Nami echoes Kiwi & Mozu is fun. Robin & Franky are such a great pair because he does not give a single flip about how little time she has for his nonsense.

I kinda hate that Oda's skimped on the potential for Luffy though. Franky's the elder on the crew who seems like he gets the least chance to shine with it. Sad thing is I think he should be the best! Franky & Luffy are a lot alike, and honestly the cyborg seems to be rather mature in his own way. He was a leader for a long time, knowing that he cultivated his own following I kinda like the note of him blowing off Oden back in the past. One of those interesting little flourishes that says a lot for how brief it was.

Very interested in this side of Franky that’s come out around Vegapunk even if I haven’t said much about it. It’s cute seeing him geek out like this, and there’s a lot of potential in him having a “don’t meet your heroes” moment if the arc pans out like I think. If I had to pick a favorite moment...man I love him wrecking the factory on Dressrosa. The Senor Pink fight went on a little long and I wasn’t that impressed by his backstory, but seeing the heavy weapons guy wreck shit is always fun. I love him just grabbing the vacuum chick, planting a big kiss, and cowing her with sheer machismo. It’s how over the top silly it is that sets him apart from Sanji’s lows.

Oh...and I know it isn’t a popular take, but I friggin love the gag showing a bunch of boys geeking out about robot stuff then cutting to a bunch of deadpan women. We got Yamato beating the woman allegations through it, and I’m sad I haven’t seen monumentally deadpan Kiku or struggling to hide her mild interest Hiyori.

I was telling The Guy about my new Baby Yoda obsession, but he thinks the lil thing "just looks like Gizmo but green".

And like, he's right but:

A) Gizmo is also cute. I grew up with that film and who didn't want one?

B) weirdly for something resembling a love child between a cat and a kiwi, baby Yoda is probably even cuter despite being kind of fuzzy rather than fluffy. Which deserves points bevause making something fluffy look cute is easier.
