In book 2, she’s thinking “oh, me and Percy will do the chariot race together. It’ll be so fun!” Only to have Tyson, who she doesn’t like at the time, third wheel her planned alone time.

Then you get to the 3rd book. Okay, we’re recruiting 2 new demigods. Their at a dance? Oh, me and Percy can dance. Have a nice romantic moment, maybe even confess.

He runs off to deflect from Thalia’s plan and she falls off a cliff.

We’re at BOTL now, Percy finally asked her out on a date. Well it’s not a date date but the point still stands. AND their seeing a movie. Perfect for a first not date.

He shows up with a red headed mortal. The school is on fire. The mortal, Rachel, writes her number on his arm.

Okay, okay, some failed attempts. Buts it’s all right. She still has more chances.

Nope, no she doesn’t. He’s in a volcano, he could die. She should probably do something before it’s too late. She kisses him and runs off, hoping he survives.

He doesn’t, oh wait he does. It’s been 2 weeks? Where was he? Oh, on an island? With who? CALYPSOS island? Your kidding.

Mhm, he hasn’t brought up the kiss. He want a mortal to led HER quest? Her first ever quest? Maybe she was reading into this wrong. Does Percy NOT like her?

Well, he must not. He spent the whole school year AND summer with Rachel. She kissed him, has spent the last 2 years trying to confess her undying love. He’s about to DIE. His souls is going to be REAPED. But he spends a year away from her. Oh yeah, there’s also a war going on.

A kiss for luck? Tradition? Okay, maybe she was freaking out for nothing. Percy likes her. She’s not gonna kiss him though. He spends a year away from her? He has to earn her affection, thank you very much. He won’t die, hopefully. She’ll kiss him then.

He’s not dead! They won the war! Yay, yippie, fire works. She gives him a kiss and they go underwater. Four years of hard work, but at least it paid off.

this is ippei, keikos younger brother! hes a 1st year at akatsuka high school, having elected to go there in hopes of the city providing him with better computer electives since he wants to go into programming. since the commute to/from shimotsuma would be too long for everyday travel, he lives with kiru and keiko in the meantime :-) he doesnt really have a whole lot going on outside of that since hes honestly just a normal teen [and has enough friends that he doesnt need to be kickin it with a bunch of ~30 year olds], though i imagine he would serve as a bit of a reminder to the adult cast of how trends/fads are moving along with the younger crowd. i can definitely imagine, like, totty going to him for advice on what is/isnt "in" after its pointed out that hes a bit behind the curve in terms of trends

he’s wonderful! he’s my best friend, he is constantly and endlessly inspiring me and teaching me to be the very best version of myself. he is incredibly intelligent, i swear he watches so many documentaries and does so much research he’s a wealth of knowledge on a variety of topics, especially animals/wildlife and the environment as those are two topics that are extremely important to him. he would tell you that he’s not good with words, but he always knows exactly what to say to make me feel better when i’m feeling icky. he can be cynical on the outside, but he has such a huge heart and is so compassionate towards those he cares about (to the point where family will sometimes take advantage of him—this bothers me very much). he is brutally honest and says what’s on his mind without thinking twice (he’s been like that since we were kids hehe c:). he holds steadfastly to his own opinions and ideals, but he isn’t stubborn to the point where you can’t have a conflicting conversation with him—he knows how to agree to disagree.

he’s super passionate about video games, sci-fi literature, and fishkeeping!!! he also loves photography and golf. i admire him and his dedication + determination so so so much <333 he is just truly and genuinely a GOOD person.

Romantic/dating anxiety is definitely a thing (to me). I just steed into the dating world for the first time last year at the ripe age of 26 and when I tell you I’ve been anxious every time I’ve matched with someone/received a message complimenting me before we can even have a conversation/agreed to a date… it’s intense to say the least but I believe in us!

Definitely definitely a thing, like I’ve managed to give myself a decent stomachache just by overthinking this since it happened.

I don’t know what to do lmao because I have 0 experience, and like I just texted my best friend about, I shoot down every person that ever asks for my number or shows interest in me but then I also literally am always like…. looking for someone to be interested in me, but also like as soon as I know for sure they’re interested I don’t want them to be, and also I think I just feel awkward if the person is younger than me, so like when one of my coworkers clearly had a crush on me but he was like 5 or 6 years younger than me so I felt that was weird, and then this guy I don’t even know how old he is either so like that feels fucking awkward to me because nobody ever thinks I am my age, which right now I’m 27 😭 and the other day a girl I work with thought I was 23, which is a compliment but also like I don’t want to be in a relationship with someone that much younger than me 😭😭
