the dynamic between the sencens is so endlessly fascinating to me — especially with the idea that they do love each other. like they are three people who are forever tied together even though they cannot stand each other and underneath that they care about each other so much they despise it. lord cassius is the cruelest and most callous man in the lost cities and when you look into his subconscious it’s filled with love for gisela and keefe. keefe hates his parents and still grieved when he thought gisela died. gisela did nothing but use her son and husband relentlessly for her own gain and still was upset when they discovered her identity bc it meant losing the pretense of family. your family are the worst people you know but also the ones you can’t let go of.

what kotlc characters do when its really, really hot (mainly because i am a puddle of sweat rn)

Sophie: These are the times she wishes she was back in San Diego, so, so close to the oh so cold ocean. The shower is her best friend during these times. Like she's literally just sit there with the cold water on her.

Keefe: Complains about it, a lot. Tries to get Ro to fan him, but it never works. Wait he live by the beach right??- Nevermind he invites everyone over for a beach day!! (I'm gonna write this!!)

Dex: Being the little smart creature he is, he's not that hot because he built himself a very powerful fan that keeps him cool. Also he lives where there's a lot of snow so-

Fitz: Convinces himself that going for a run so he could feel the cool air on his face will make it better, but it doesn't and he quits after a minute.

Biana: Vanishing helps, but she can't disappear for forever. She puts the fan on directly on her face. She'd have someone on her Impartner to talk to (Most of the time it's Tam, or sometimes Sophie) while she complains about the heat.

Tam: Shirtless. You wouldn't expect it from him, but would. He walks around Solreef in shorts no top. He can't stand the heat. He'll ask Linh to pour water on him very often. He will just lay in his bed, tired and hot as ever.

Linh: Literally just dumps water on herself. Or if she doesn't want to be wet, she'll just make the water molecules very close to herself. Linh becomes basically a freaking god during this time for everybody.

Marella: She's always hot, so it doesn't bother her. She actually enjoys the heat.

Plus: Beach days by Keefe's house (the Shores of Solace there's a beach right?) and snow days at Dex's!!!!!!

i don't hate keefe i don't, but i don't want an entire book about him from his pov, i missed when it focus on the other characters

honestly i hadnt even really realized over a year had passed since stellarlune lmao. i get why other people are a bit upset about waiting 2 years for just another .5 book but <3 it still feels like stellarlune only came out 3 months ago.

stellarlune isn’t my favorite book of the series, but i must say, having sophie foster canonically say “happy drawing. if you need me, i’ll be...stabbing things.” (pg 630) is my new favorite sophie quote, hands down

Some people need to remember that elves wear capes and are incredibly extra whenever making outfits. They don't wear anything purely solid. They spice it up. I have seen posts where people just put the characters in SOLID COLOR, NO DECOR, NO ANYTHING outfits. And it just really irks me

sophie is extremely smart and beautiful (because she's an elf) and she lives in a world where quite a few boys are in love with her. Younger siblings are often compared to or compare themselves to their older siblings so what if amy was jealous of that and it drove a wedge in their relationship... sophie could also be jealous of how normal amy's life is compared to hers..
