Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry about all the trouble Etsy is giving you. I have no idea why they would suddenly close your shop down like that and I hope it gets sorted soon. Also sorry to hear about your hard day at work. I did read your response to another ask though and I have to say “I’ll be there with bells on” is an absolutely hilarious response to someone saying they’ll see you at their funeral. I cackled when I read that.

As for the prompts may I request “What’s their favorite smell?” For Enma?

Thank you so much! I don’t know if you’ve seen the latest blog update, but they reopened my shop…said they suspended it in error because they believed one of my log-in attempts from my phone was fraudulent or ‘suspicious activity’ 🙄 All the listings are back up and now it’s just fighting with them to get them to let me relink my card and verify my bank account so that I can actually get paid. Slowest customer service, I swear! And thank you for thinking my response was funny. Definitely not work-appropriate but, as hard as I try to always choose kindness, I admit to having a temper…and when my temper gets going, my mouth does too 😂

Anyway, onto the actual question, which I love and thanks so much for it! It’s always fun to write for Enma, and it’s not something I get to do a lot!

He loves the smell after it rains, but particularly the smell right after a huge summer rainstorm, where the sun’s come right back out, hot as anything, and you get to smell the hot, wet pavement mingling with summer air and that freshly rained scent.

Enma loves the scent of chives and garlic. He doesn’t know quite why, because he’s not a huge fan of the taste of either of them, but there’s something about the smell that he loves.

It’s weird, because he has no active memories associate with it, but there’s just something about the smell and experience of walking in a crisp autumn night and smelling the wood fires of people’s houses mingling with that unique autumn smell that just makes him feel strangely nostalgic somewhere deep inside.

An odd smell he likes? The smell of new shoes! Also, kind of odd, but the smell of a freshly painted room is also something he just kind of low-key enjoys.

5th Jan is Katou Julie's birthday so, collection of smalls moments between he and his boss:

Asking Enma what was happening after being possessed by Daemon.

Didn't have a single, tiniest clue of what going on, just knew Daemon was a bad new and Julie's first instinct when Daemon attacked was to protect Enma.

Vocally acted out on genuine worry and panick when Enma planned to sacrifice himself to defeat Daemon.

After that, he acted like a proud father seeing his son growing up to be such a good man ("In the little while that i hadn't seen him", Akira sensei you knew exactly what you was writing right?) then came back to panick.

And, in the aftermath of the final fight, he was shown to be the one helping Enma standing up.

Lastly, just a small comparison: the way Julie went out all of his ways to leave the supplied food for Chrome's group. (and by Ken's word, "It's here again", he didn't do it just once)

is there a reason enma's parents (who came from a long line of family who was betrayed by Vongola) to name him after the judge of hell

i hope the reason is that they too had nurtured resentment towards The Great Sky and wished for their son to mete punishment against Vongola's Sins all along
