that's my GKverse jason-centric, maybe brujay, maybe not fic where Jason uses journaling to heal as part of his therapy! 🥺 centered largely around this following notion: If I am angry, I will not be lovable. I must justify my existence.

Jason learns a few things from therapy. Things that Jason passes along to Bruce like second hand embarrassment or a few choice words in the aftermath of Bruce’s own turn in the Lazarus Pit. One stands out in particular: That the body keeps the score.  And it’s neither the skin-deep scars nor the deep-tissue bruising, it's not even the broken bones mended over with time. It’s trauma. Traumatic memory is not normal memory.  It takes enormous trust and courage to allow himself to remember. And so much more to allow another person in.

3. Cielizzy, I have such a soft spot for this one tbh. When they’re happy, it makes my heart happy. My soul actually can’t take angst between them.

4. Uhhh Sebastian x any manly man, aka Sebard & Sebawolf. I don’t necessarily ship these, but I can tolerate Sebastian with just about any (adult) character.

5. Kuro women x me, what can I say 🤷‍♀️ specifically these two

Yeah that’s basically it! I’ve never felt a strong inclination to ship many characters in Kuro. Part of this series’s appeal to me is the complicated relationships/dynamics that it features. I don’t really want to take away from that experience or dumb it down, and appreciate this series for the plot, art and characters opposed to just making it a game to go “those two are in love! And those two would be cute!”

Except for sebagni, that’s my only exception 😅.

So, how tall is Marion and Melkor? How about the others. Im curious. Cause i was looking at things recently and found out Tolkien made his humans like, 6 to 7 feet tall and now i keep thinking about all their heights. (And that im closer in height to Gimli than to the other humans on the team cause everyone is giant ;_;)

TL;DR Mairon=210-230, Melkor=280 Made a chart for the heights of all the races in my HC and few random characters(ft on the left is not very accurate).

Basically in my HC everyone is smaller than what most people might think. I personally can't imagine humanoid shapes to be any taller than 240cm/8ft, maybe 300cm/10ft if I stretch my mental limit.

But I always wanted to clear out who's how tall blah blah from canon a bit so one sunny day I went through a bunch of canon information I could find online about heights in ME. Found out that there are these MiddleEarth unit called "ranga/r".

1 ranga: a stride, hobbits are 1 ranga(half of men) 2 rangar: average Numenorean male height, also Galadriel 2.5 rangar: Elendil

Although in canon 1 ranga = 38inch | 3'2" | 96.5cm, I took a bit of liberty in this and altered 1 ranga to be around 35.4-36.4inch | 90-92.5cm as I tend to like everyone(including Melkor) to be shorter than 10' | 3m.

Also, here's the link to my thoughts from 2018, written in 2023. Everyone is even more shorter than the above chart but it's only really the ainur and elves that are nerfed down. Thingol and Elendil are too tall

There's probably tonnes of contradiction every where but this is just my vague HC.

Of course, my lovely! I’m more than happy to do these up for you and I hope you’ll enjoy the headcanons I came up with! I apologize in advance if they’re smaller than normal or not as long as you’d been hoping for!

[DON’T WORRY] for the character to react to you getting scared and seeking comfort from them

YATA

Yata likes to pride himself on being someone that other people might look up to, someone that others think is strong enough to keep them safe. It makes him feel really good about himself when he’s relied on, in any way, shape, or form, by anyone really. It wouldn’t matter if the reader, the ‘you’, were a stranger to him, if they were just a friend of his, or if they were his partner.

He especially finds it cute if it’s a partner of his who gets scared and comes to hide behind him, gripping his arm and clinging to him. He enjoys really playing it up about how he’ll protect them, keep them safe. It makes him feel manly and needed and really, that’s a huge thing for Yata, especially in terms of him as a romantic partner. He’s someone who really needs, within that romantic partnership, to feel necessary to his partner and like he’s needed and useful to them.

He’s also really a sucker for little kids getting scared and hiding behind him. As someone who grew up with little siblings, it really triggers that big brother instinct in him and makes him very determined to cheer the kids up, to make them feel safe and invincible with him in charge.

He’ll make sure that whoever it is who asks for his protection, he does whatever is needed to make them feel safe. If that means checking their closet for monsters, walking them home in the dark, confronting one of their bullies, or simply staying with them, he makes sure that they’re feeling in better spirits and are no longer scared by the time he leaves them.

KURO

Kuro, meanwhile, feels a lot of pressure if people turn to him when they’re scared and need help. It’s troublesome and annoying, especially for the Kuro he is early on in the story. It makes him feel uncomfortable and nervous and worried and because he actively does everything he can to avoid negative emotions, he’s likely to shut down a little, to just sit and do nothing instead of actively trying to help the person in question.

He won’t really know how to help them anyway and that’s something he makes really clear. He’s probably just as scared as they are, to be honest, since Kuro can be a little bit of a fraidy cat.

Honestly, most of his advice would be simply to run away. Kuro is someone who is definitely of the opinion that, if you’re scared of something, it’s okay to run away from it until you’re stronger or more capable of facing it.

If his partner or friend’s fears are of intangible things, of scary emotions or fears of the future that they can’t run away of, Kuro is going to be very in over his head. He can’t do anything about things like that, he can’t tell them to run away from them. He’ll listen to them, but the best he can do is a muttered ‘that sucks, dude’ or something along those lines and it just makes him feel so goddamn useless and impotent so he really will try to avoid being put into those kinds of situations.

When Kuro gets better at dealing with his emotions, including fear and his own uselessness at points, he gets better at emotionally dealing with other’s fears but he still struggles at points. At the end of it all, he doesn’t want to be the one responsible for taking care of others and their problems, even when he steps up to the plate to do so.

YAY OC ASK TIME!! I actually answered this on the app and tumblr poofed it. So im going to reanswer the questions again lol. Its going to be a long one so BUCKLE UP CUS HERE WE GO!

If they were an animal what animals would they be?

Sephtis would be a black cat 🐈‍⬛, Izara a bunny 🐇, Benny an otter 🦦 and I have really introduced him to the blog yet and gotten into his character, but Dante would be a dog 🐶 specifically a Jack Russell

2. Do they have any siblings? hows their relationship with family?

I love this question and I will get more into detail with all of my ocs in another post or in their character page (when i create one :3)

Sephtis has an older sister (three years older). They both have a good relationship with their mother, but a terrible one with their father. Their dad actually cut ties with them because they are both (according to him) "a disgrace to the company and family name" he ended up giving the company to their cousin because neither of them wanted to inherit their fathers company, nor cared about his business lol. Their father was never really there for them, their mother practically had a facade the entire marriage & fought so much for Seph and his sister to live "normal lives" as nepo babies (lol) they were pretty popular in school because of their bg which they hated. Their parents divorced Sephs senior year of hs and at that time is when his dad cut ties w him as well.

Izara is an only child. She has a good relationship with her parents. They're more on the traditional side & older people, so sometimes they dont see eye to eye, especially when she was in Junior High & High school. Izara's interests concerned them (literally just regular interests teenagers have that freak out ethnic parents bc they need theyre becoming demons or some shit lol) also didnt like that she loved art and wanted to be an artists/art curator. Eventually though, they understood that they cant control what their daughter does with her future and that is all up to her ( I think they left her alone more so because they realized she is successful in her art and modeling career).

Benny is the youngest of 4. He has 3 sisters. His relationship with his parents was really shitty growing up, sadly. He is gay & hes known that for his whole life. Having 3 sisters and being the only boy, he loved to play with dolls. His parents being very religious, seeing him play with dolls, was not something they liked. Even if he was just playing with his sisters. In school, he was bullied. There was name calling and rumors that spread around about him. His parents hated the rumors and name calling not because it hurt Benny, but because it makes them look like bad Catholics. Benny truly only had his sisters and other female friends by his side throughout school. It wasnt until high school where things seemed to change for the better. This especially were better because he had Sephtis. His parents have come around, but they def took their time to finally accept their son.

3.Where are they from? do they speak another language?

Sephtis is from Osaka, Japan (Mt. Komorebi) then moved to Los Angeles at age 4 (Del Sol Valley). He speaks English and Japanese!

Izara is from New York (San Myshuno), shes Ethiopian-American. She speaks English and Amharic.

Benny is from Quebec (have no idea what sim world would be considered Canada lol) He speaks French & English

What's their biggest (stupidest) fear?

Okay so Sephtis & Izara are afraid of movie characters LMAO Sephtis will forever be afraid of Kayako (The Grudge) movie he watched as a kid with his sister that scarred him as a child ksfkksfks. Izara specifically does not like the older Godzilla (model?? costume??) she thinks its ugly and creepy as fuck like literally nightmare looking ass creature. IS THIS NOT JUST CREEEPY TO U???

Ok I wouldnt say Benny's is stupid....hes afraid of bugs specifically roaches. I mean logically, hes bigger than them so he can step on them and kill them, but he just finds them super fucking gross that he cant bring himself to do that lol.

Favorite music genre/artist?

Sephtis' fave band is BUCK-TICK, Fave genre is Rock (I'll keep it broad because he loves a toe=ne of sub rock genres).

Izara's fave artist is PinkPantheress! For groups, she likes New Jeans, Aespa & Perfume (yes she listens to kpop/jpop). Fave genre is pop for sure!!

Benny's fave band are the cranberries!! fave genre is also rock, but he prefers alternative rock!!

Okay well, I want to share a little about Seph and Benny's relationship rq!! So they went to the same high school. Sephtis is a year older than Benny. Their paths didnt officially cross until Sephtis' senior year and Benny's junior year of high school. They met one day after school when it was raining, Benny didnt have an umbrella but sephtis did :) thats all ill say for now :3

with a hammer and a knife! i actually don't really know where i'm going with this one still, but i've been mulling it over non-stop. it's supposed to be brujay with outsider pov ala dick where there is zero subtlety in their courtship but both of them are kind of oblivious to it.

“He has crazy eyes.” Dick says to him, and he knows Jason doesn't get it when Jason is just staring back at him like he's the crazy one. And that's just offensive when Dick has been the one forced to take a front seat to whatever the fuck this is. “He has crazy for you eyes, little wing.” Dick doesn't really know how else to spell it out for Jason when the gravity of that still doesn't hit him. “That's just what B always looks like.” Jason replies, slowly, treating Dick like he's the one that doesn't understand. “Y'know, intense, unblinking, a little bug-eyed, uh. Kinda weird?”

Re:the One Piece gif, he stands there and takes it as part of a deal. The guy who attacks him was going to kill his captain, so he offered to take his place. When discovered later surrounded by his own blood but having survived the encounter, he would claim "Nothing. Happened."

i feel like this is kinda hard for me to gauge myself, but i'll try my best. 😭

since i imagine kuroba as being a reoccurring minor character, i feel like they'd be one of those characters that has a really dedicated small group of fans that's lowkey insane about them. it'd be like how ppl are about yanagida or atsushi. i also think they’d probably be subject to some really annoying fandom discourse over their gender since i doubt they'd actually confirm that they're x-gender in the show ( especially if they're introduced in 2017, ) they'd just be presented as an ambitiously pretty gnc dude. they'd make decent gender envy fodder, at least.

idk tho... if my kuroba boys out there wanna share their thoughts on this, please do bc i'm not fully sure on this one. 🥲

The silent hug from Joseph is welcomed by the old man with literal open arms. Speedwagon hugs the younger and much taller male back, giving him a wholehearted hug that rivals Joseph's in warmth too. It's mindblowing how tall his dear Joseph has gotten over the last few years! Despite not being much like his grandfather in regards to overall personality, Joseph definitely has Jonathan's genes and it shows. It's not that Robert hadn't noticed how tall Joseph had grown, because he did, it's just that it always becomes a lot more evident when they share a moment like this.

"That was really sweet, Jojo." Robert says with a smile that reflects that fondness he has for the youngest Joestar. One of his hands goes to pat the top of Joseph's head, ruffling the young man's hair just a little, fondly, like he always would when Jojo was little and the two spent hours playing together or reading comics and stories about fantastic heroes,and so on.
