i just finished reading Ending The Pursuit: Asexuality, Aromanticism and Agender Identity by Michael Paramo and am incredibly thankful for it. it's a great exploration of how colonialism and imperialism and Romanticism (capital R) have shaped our modern (western) understanding of gender and sexuality and romance and attraction and it taught me so much about how we got here and how we might be able to disentangle from it.

i'm gonna take some time to reflect on the book and might expand more on my thoughts later but for now i can only highly highly recommend it

Finally starting watching Naruto Shippuden after all this time (it's been like six-seven years since I finished before the time skip) because I love Sai (despite never having gotten to after the time skip before because of everything I've read about/involving him) and my sib said to do it for him and for Sakura.

My grandpa is currently in the hospital so I’ve be running my little ass off doing shit and holding down the fort to the point I am JUST NOW finishing the Yeonjun fic that I have to post tomorrow. Oh my god I am in hyperdrive, also, WHY THE FUCK DO I NEED TO BE SO EXTRA AND EXPLAIN LITERALLY EVERYTHING Y/N IS DOING TO THE HOUSE AND EXACTLY WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE TO A T. Like, they dyed their hair red for this, they bought new sheets, they put pathways through the house in glitter like why do I make this so difficult for myself??? Why is my world building so extra all the time?????? Can’t I just be normal????????? I’m writing so much detail I might need to split it in two parts. Anyway, back to writing out every detail of their makeup look. I genuinely hope you all enjoy this because I am putting my whole pussy into this shit rn.

A good amount of us in the English department are falling sick, including myself. Today in my post lunch lesson, both Rosa and I sniffed at the same time which made me laugh. The way our sickness is syncing up 😂 And then now I just coughed at the same time as Cat did. If we all took the day off there would be like three people teaching English this week. Which would be jokes to watch and see how the school dealt with that. Last term there was a moment when we were all dropping like flies. Leigh and I were basically single handedly running the whole department. We struggled but we managed and I’ll hold that as a high achievement.

So two major things going on for me currently is I'm graduating high school next week and I'm working on an original story that I have actually fallen in love with. So back in November I needed to start a new story for my Creative Writing Class is school an I asked my teacher to give me a prompt because I was having a hard time coming up with a premise, my teacher told me to retell/rewrite a well known story/fairytale/myth. I started this story partly based on the myth of Hades and Persephone, but it has gotten a life of its own. The overall story is going to have ties to the myth but otherwise it is very divergent at this point. This is a fantasy story and my Hades character is a sweetheart who has some stuff going on that is all about me and my love of making characters I connect to suffer, and my Persephone has a bit of a rebellious streak that I'm planning on getting a bit worse over time as she learns more about things outside of her home.

I have never had one of my own ideas grip me the way this story has, I've never felt this connected to a world of my own creation. This project has a slide show that I keep expanding along with a side story. I'm so proud of how far I've gotten so far but I'm also not as far as I want to be. This story was supposed to be a semi quick project for school and now it is basically becoming a whole novel, so far I have a word count of 5,709 and other than a few snippets of stuff that happens near the end it's all before they leave Cora's country (my Persephone based character). I'm so excited about this project and where it's going to go. My slide show is so long and is filled with both images and background details (like how magic works, the different countries), character descriptions, notes for later, and little bonus details (why I used xyz, flower language)

So update on the next fic, it will come out when it comes out. Won’t be too long but I haven’t really had the time to write it honestly as I’ve been helping my mom out around the house. We both have chronic pain and are struggling a lot lately so we’re trying to get things together as a team. Which includes taking care of my handicap sister so it’s taking up a lot of my time. I will write it and publish it as soon as I’m able to. But to get you excited, it’s about Jun, it’s soft dom Jun, and it’s gonna be very sweet and loving whilst also being kinky so hopefully you all like it. I apologize for the wait <3

i'm loving the last of us so far, i loved the game the first time i played it & this is by far the best adaptation i've seen. the actors are so good & portray the characters perfectly. i just want to rant about how good this show is from someone who loves the game as well.
