Forensic Experts | Chapter 1
Tumblr media
pairing: Spencer Reid x fem!FBI!reader
in: you had been transferred to the FBI headquarters to work as an assistant to the chief of department. an introduction to the FBI’s very own BAU, sparks a new friendship between you and Reid. but, how many meetings can happen before you two have feelings?
chpt sum: you meet the BAU while working on a crime scene and it seems you and Reid get along really well. you two meet a few more times until a shootout happens on the clock. Reid rushes to save you but at what cost?
wc: 2.1k
tw: chronic typing in lowercase, reader is shot, typical criminal minds stuff(murders, blood, gunshots), mostly fluff (let me know if i missed anything!!)
a/n: for most of this chapter, Reid calls you by your last name (indicated by a Y/Ln, different from Y/n!!) i wasn’t sure how else to get around it :P
Tumblr media
you liked your old job, but when the transfer to the FBI headquarters was arranged by the department chief… you knew there was no one to stop the transfer. your apartment walls were bare, furniture donated and the lease terminated. the team threw you a goodbye party with your favorite ice cream and cake. you bawled your eyes out in front of your boss and now…
you were standing in front of your new one.
Dr. Davenport was the lead forensic analyst and chief of the department. he is mostly off the field doing paperwork and when he isn’t in his office, he is at home. Davenport was married with two children, one in college studying to be like their father and the other in 4th grade.
he liked you loads, showed you around the lab and when on the field, showed you some tips and tricks. he even let you drove the suv. as creepy and pedophilic the nickname was, it was as original Dr. Davenport was gonna get. within a few months, Davenport had shown you how to shut down the lab and how to work most of the equipment. “now that i finally have an assistant… i can rely on another person!” Davenport cheerfully said one day.
today you were on the field. according to the Davenport, this was the second body and another FBI unit was called in to help. that's why Davenport had dragged you out to this remote restaurant. the camera clicked in your hands. on these days, you normally snapped at least 1000 photos.
“Y/Ln!” Davenport called you over. you approached the group, minus Davenport there were at least 5 more people with him.
“Y/Ln, meet the Behavior Analysis Unit. Agents Hotchner, Prentiss, Morgan, Juareu, Rossi and Dr. Reid,” you gave a nod of acknowledgment to all. “agents, Y/Ln… my new assistant.” he beamed.
“glad to see the budget go to you,” Rossi smiled. Davenport chuckled. “well, i’ll let you go back to your photo taking… you creep.” you rolled your eyes, “right Davenport.”
you positioned yourself to another location. after snapping photos for a few minutes, someone approached you.
“Y/Ln correct?” you glanced behind and saw Dr. Reid, fidgeting with his fingers. you nodded, turning to face him.
“would it be alright if i looked at the photos?” Reid asked.
“sure!” you switched the camera to viewing mode and handed it off to Reid. he pressed the buttons viewing each photo, although you knew that each photo looked exactly the same.
“here.” Reid tilted the camera to show Rossi. “body was disposed like the previous victims.”
you took the camera back, analyzing the photo. “what do you see in this?” you asked.
Reid smiled and turned to Rossi, like he was non-verbally asking Rossi if he had time to answer. Rossi gave him a reassuring smile, "see how this body looks posed? hands by it side?” you nodded, “the unsub shows remorse-”
“unsub?”
“unidentified subject, it’s what we call suspects.”
you smiled, “i thought you were too young to be called doctor.” Rossi chuckled, “kid surprises me everyday.”
“i thought you were too young to be the chief department’s assistant.” he snapped back.
“ouch,” you jokingly held your arm as if he hit you, “i’m working on that doctor part.”
Reid smiled with you. at least he understood you were joking.
“i have 3-”
your eyebrows raised, “3? are you sure those are real degrees?”
“mathematics, chemistry and engineering.” you shook your head, “they should add two more doctors in front of your existing Dr. Reid to show how smart you are.”
Reid chuckled, “Dr Dr Dr. Reid is much more pleasing to the ears than Dr. Reid.”
“yes it is!” you smiled.
“hey kid,” Rossi interjected, “i’m going… you can stay, i’ll just be inside.”
“no it’s okay, i’ll be with you.” Reid replied, turning to you, “it was nice meeting you Y/Ln.”
“likewise, Dr. Reid.” he gave you a straight smile.
Tumblr media
you were back in the lab. Dr. Jones was the forensic pathologist at the FBI headquarters. now that the case is an FBI one, Dr. Jones finally gets to work.
he called you in, slipping on his gloves and tossing you a clipboard. “help me, would you dear?”
Dr. Jones listed all the details from his autopsy, you wrote down his exact words and ticked boxes off on the checklist.
Jones and Davenport were quite a pair, they were like your work fathers. but unlike Davenport, Jones was divorced, he spent most of his time either at the lab or finishing some of Davenport’s work.
“did you catch all of that?”
you nodded, “every last bit.”
“great! let me finalize this and we can send it to the agents later.” Jones took the clipboard from you.
you returned back to your desk. Davenport shared some of his work load since he had to go teach a seminar today. you checked off all the information, all that was left was for Davenport to sign off.
“Y/n,” Jones peeked into your office, “i’m heading home…”
you looked up from your desk and saw Jones entering, “how many more files dear?”
“only 21.”
“to finish or in total?”
“to finish,” you yawned.
“you’re already so busy… finish this file and go home,” he reached out, dragging your current file out and pushing the rest away. “how’s your doctorate going?”
“it’s hard since i moved, doing online.”
Jones nodded, “i bet… me and Dav are always willing to help you.”
you smiled, “thank you.” Jones returned your smile. he knocked on your desk and left.
the stack of files started to look smaller and smaller but the time only grew later. you ignored Jones’ advice, you felt that since Davenport lent you this job, it was your duty to at least finish it. you were 3 files in before your eyes felt heavy and yawning became your breathing.
‘i’ll rest my eyes for a second.’ you told yourself as you leaned back. your eyes shut and all you felt was peace.
“Y/Ln?” the voice and knock on your door jolted you up. you adjusted your workspace to look as if you weren’t sleeping.
“i’m sorry to bug you-” it was Reid, “did you finish that autopsy report?” he asked.
you nodded, “mmhm, Jones should’ve sent it to your tech analysis? did he not?”
Reid chuckled, “i guess not- i’m sorry if it’s favor to ask-“
“noooo! it’s okay, not like i was leaving anytime soon.” you bounced from your seat and into Jones’ office. the drawers were dug through until all hope was lost. then, Reid picked up the file on his desk top.
“i think this is it Y/Ln.” Reid held the file so you could see it.
“oh… of course.” you groaned.
“thanks again Y/Ln.”
you nodded, “no problem.”
returning back to your office, you only noticed Reid hadn’t left because the front door never slammed shut. “you- you can go home.” a yawn escaped your mouth.
“can i talk you out?” you looked at Reid, confused. his eyes were on your work, “out of my office? you’d have to try really hard.”
“what is it that you are doing anyway?”
“reviewing files,” you replied as another file opened.
“i can help you-“ Reid paused for a second, “if you’d like.”
you smiled, “thanks, but it’ll take more time to explain it to you than-“
“i have 3 ph.D’s.” Reid circled around your desk, “just tell me what to do."
you took a second, “okay… try to keep up.” you explained to Reid what he had to read, what to make sure was right, was wrong, you even showed him examples. Reid caught up and took his first file… which he finished in merely 10 seconds.
you scoffed, “you didn’t even read it.” taking the file back, you spotted the mistakes he had circled in pen.
“i can read 20,000 words per minute.” your jaw dropped, “you are lying.”
“you watched me do it.”
you snickered, “okay, have at it.”
both of you only spent an hour in your office. Reid had sorted out 5 problem files. he watched as you filled in the blanks for the last file. the relief of having all your work done allowed you to finally take your. first deep breath.
“and we’re done.” you smiled, glancing at Reid. you checked your watch, “3am?”
“you would’ve been here till 7 if i didn’t help.”
you nodded, “thank you, Dr. Reid… i definitely owe you a coffee."
he smiled, “you getting this report is more than enough for me.”
“are you sure?”
“actually… you can call me Spencer.”
“Spencer…” the name lingered in your mouth, “call me Y/n, Spencer.” you smiled back at him.
“Y/n…” he paused, “promise me one thing?” you made eye contact with him, “go home tonight?”
you groaned, “you suck.” grabbing your messenger bag you lifted it over yourself. Reid waited until you left the lab before he bid you farewell.
Tumblr media
a week has gone by since you and Reid’s private moment in office and another murder has been reported. your team was up on the ready at the crime scene. similar to the last scene, the only difference was rather than a restaurant, it was a quite diner on the edge of Virginia's metropolitan area. you had snapped a few photos of cars with gunshots in them and some blood splatters. everything seemed okay, the BAU and local PD was in the area.
then... gunshots rang around the location. the shots and voices of people telling everyone to get down rang throughout your ears.
a couple more shots echoed out, hitting metal around you. you were alone behind a parked car but saw some of your co-workers behind another vehicle. you made eye contact and they gestured you to come over. having peaked over the car, your co-workers repeated the gesture.
you came out of cover rushing over to your friend. “y/n-“ they whispered-yelled, squeezing your hand. “come on, they’re waving us over.” you nodded and caught a glimpse of a blonde woman fanning your group over to her cover.
you each went one at a time, you last.
when the agent was gesturing your turn, you peaked over and took a few steps out. but what you didn't expect was to be shot right in the shoulder.
you fell back in pain with a sharp yell. the burning sensation only followed. a few seconds later, someone had linked under your shoulders and dragged you until a shadow appeared on your right. you felt pressure on your right shoulder after.
“Y/n, it’s Reid…” the pain on your right shoulder was beyond comprehension.
“R- Reid?” your eyes were heavy but you managed to build the strength to open and look at Reid, “it hurts so- so bad.”
“i know, i know… deep breaths okay?” you followed his orders.
you closed your eyes, “no no, keep your eyes open okay?” you hummed in response.
Reid was blurred, his hair had no defined lines but his white collar button down stung your eyes because of how bright it was. you could feel your eyes losing against the bearing weight.
“Y/n. Y/n!” Reid’s voice only got more intense the more you closed your eyes, “look at me…”
you took a deep breath. “there you go… just keep looking at me.” his voice was calming to your ears, put you to sleep.
the light started to dissipate, Reid’s talking reminded you of that night he stayed to help you. the teasing of reading a file in 10 seconds.
“hey- hey! come on Y/n,” warmth grew on your left cheek, “stay with me,” light tapping followed, “for me Y/n, keep your eyes open for me.” Reid’s voice strained while the tapping increased in rhythm.
“I NEED A MEDIC!” was the last thing you heard before everything went black.

Master List
Tumblr media
❥When you were first hired as an assistant M.E., you hadn’t expected to stumble upon the forensic scientist examining the body you were supposed to. It was your first assignment on your own, given to you by Dr. Leslie Thompkins. He stood there, hands inside the body, his hair slightly falling into his face. You weren’t sure how to proceed as you both just stared at each other awkwardly.
❥That’s how you met Edward Nygma. The lovely dork of the precinct. He was surprised when you didn’t raise your voice. You didn’t give him a dirty look and you didn’t ask him to leave. No, in fact, he couldn’t believe his ears when you asked him to help. It was your first time being unsupervised after all, so it was comforting that someone who also seemed knowledgeable in your field was there.
❥What you thought was a one time thing ended up happening more often than you thought. Ed would join you, help you inspect the body, then take anything he needed to analyze as the forensic scientist. It became routine. The times he wasn’t there felt off, though he did have his own job to do. You enjoyed his presence. Being surrounded by death on the daily, his odd mannerisms and riddles brought some life into the environment.
❥The first time Dr. Thompkins, or Lee as she insisted, walked in on you two hovering over a body, she wasn’t surprised in the slightest. She didn’t even pause to process. Why would she? She had put two and two together forever ago. At first you were mortified. It was your duty to make sure policies and protocols were being followed so that any evidence found couldn’t be thrown out. You and Ed were definitely breaking protocol. He wasn’t trained after all.
❥She just continued on like it was the norm. In fact, it was the norm. Ed had been doing this since before she was hired after all. Best to just let him. He knew what he was doing after all. It got to the point that if anyone needed Ed, they’d just go to the M.E. lab. He was there 9/10 times after all.
❥It didn’t help that Ed found himself liking your presence. You never judged him, you weren’t afraid to ask him for help, and most of all, you didn’t push him away for his ‘unusual’ mannerisms. You genuinely tried to answer his riddles. You never got short with him, and if you couldn’t handle them you would tell him upfront. He thought of you as his safe space. Before, the M.E. lab was a safe space solely due to the bodies being like riddles. He found solace in trying to piece together the puzzle of how and why someone was killed. Now, you were a part of that.

Can I get some headcanons of The Batman! Riddler with a masculine and stronk lady s/o?
christ im not strong by any means but i would manhandle the shit out of this man i swear to god
The Batman (2022)!Eddie with a strong masculine female!reader hcs:
you two met at his job - you were in a similar working field. he was a forensic accountant, so he basically utilised his accountancy skills to investigate financial leads and innacuracies, basically would know what you ate for breakfast three weeks ago and when you shat it out with the time narrowed to fucking seconds and your exact geographical coordinates, and he did IT job on the side (he was singlehandedly holding up the computer forensics division on some days). you were a criminal investigator with a speck for ballistics (you took the course as an extra and it really paid off when it comes to your job) so you had to know everything about everyone at all times and be good at connecting the dots drawn out for you
you usually worked on your own, occassionally with a long-time partner, Mack, who's technically been retired for three years now but never refused you a helping hand in an investigation. of course, specific areas of expertise needed their experts, it's not like you could do what the scientists did in the lab, but you were usually well off on your own. this case though? this was a tough nut to crack and you needed to click more than just a few buttons or check a handful of nights worth of security footage. whoever you were onto knew what they were doing so you had to turn to the glorious division of forensic accountants and cybercrime unit for a little bit of help
that's how you stumbled into this poor little meow meow. you were dumped onto him by his coworkers. well, technically, 'his skills were recommended to you', but we all know what that really means. but boy, did he possess some fucking skills. initially you saw a tall, slightly lanky and incredibly awkward little guy that clearly got pushed around a bit at work but the second you presented him with the case and asked for assistance, you could see a man truly skilled in his area of expertise and more that did more on your first meeting than you managed the whole week before and made it look effortless. didn't take much credit for his work either, like any person could just pull up the info on your suspect and victim the way he did. he was shy, quiet and a little bit unnerving, but his clear passion for his work and the determination and fierceness bubbling behind those green eyes pulled you to him
Edward initially couldn't decide how he felt about you. you were... imposing. threatening. you had an aura of dominance and clear authority around you. and you were just so... big. you made him feel small, miniscule, like a little bug in comparison. you were glorious, truly, if he had to find a word for it. unnerving in your strength and the way you so confidently carried yourself but undoubtedly beautiful and admirable. your personality, or what he's seen of it so far, wasn't what he would've guessed while looking at you though. as stated, you were confident and clearly knew how to handle yourself, you knew what you wanted and how to get it but, as much as your figure was, your demeanor was never imposing or demanding. you weren't like the detectives he's had the (dis)pleasure of working with. he wasn't 'just a nerd' for you. when his coworkers steered you his way because they couldn't be bothered to do a little bit of extra work, he thought you'd just order him around and the second he gave you even the smalles part of what you wanted/needed, you'd leave without saying goodbye. that wasn't the case though. not at all
you were polite from the very beginning. despite your clear reluctance at first, you introduced yourself and shook his hand (christ, you had a mean grip) and instead of immediately just dumping a file on his desk and telling him to 'do his magic', you asked for help. you inquired if he had any spare time at the moment because you had some matters to discuss, acknowledged the fact that he obviously had a job of his own and helping you was optional and that he could always deny. nobody ever came up to him with that approach and even if he didn't have time, he'd make time for you just for that. when he agreed, you carefully explained everything to him and showed him the files, asked him which ones he needed so you could send them to him/make copies and deliver them, talked the case with him so thoroughly that he could've started solving it with you without the need to even glance in the folders or records that he'd have to pull up. you didn't act like he was a dog meant to obey you and you treated him with, dare he say... respect. he didn't get that often
you didn't know it but from the very beginning, you had him hooked. you had him hanging off of your every fucking word because you were the first person to actually make him feel seen. you took his emotions, opinions and social life (which he had none, but you didn't need to know that) into consideration at all times and always acknowledged everything he said. you encouraged his input. every fucking sentence you spoke about him made him finally feel like someone. you weren't soft-spoken by any means, you were brash and to the point, but your intentions were always clear and even with a few inappropriate nouns and adjectives here and there, you were incredibly considerate and understanding. yeah, you sounded simple (almost simple-minded) but Edward could see that you were anything but simple. and blame his starvation for positive human contact, but you made his heart flutter with every 'damn, you're real good at this'
in just 3 meetings, you coaxed him out of his shell more than he's ever been in his entire life. he did everything you asked for and always informed you whenever he had the info you needed ready for you (you insisted on coming to get it, so as not to tear him away from work further) and even a little bit more. honestly, he could've done it in two sessions, he just wanted to prolong his time with you a little bit. despite their brashness, your words always managed to make his day. you inquired about menial things, like how his day has been or what did he think of this and that. you cracked jokes with him - with him, not at him - and always laughed shamefully, slapped a hand on his shoulder here or there, you chuckled at some of his comments! you've paid him more attention in the span of a few combined hours than all the people in his life put together, touched him and laughed with him and indulged him and he couldn't get over it
so, in the spur of the moment, affected by some random boost of bravery just as you were about to leave for good, he offered to help you out more. mentioned what he thought could also be more or less useful - really just hanging onto anything to keep you with him a while longer - and his confidence turned out to be short-lived. he rambled, and when he rambled, he couldn't just stop, he quickly and nervously offered to you that he could sit with you on the case for some time since he had his fair share of guesses and that you didn't have to go to the cybercrime division because he could do all those things for you, really just offering anything to make you fucking stay and talk to him for at least a day or two more
you shut him up with a single hand on his shoulder and the word 'breathe'. and breathe he did, avoiding your eyes (which was new - the guy had a serious staring problem) and awaiting the rejection. the rejection that he expected and that never came. you patted his back, a little bit too roughly but he'd be happy even if you beat the shit out of him honestly so long as you touched him, told him that it wasn't a half-bad idea, looking at how much he already did for your case and gave him your number to text you when he gets off work so you two could discuss everything
that's really how this whole shitshow started
he did text you and you picked him up right after work, taking you both to your place. ever since then, the tradition of take-out nights at yours started. you filled him in on everything he needed to know and you two started working on this together. sometimes, you randomly burst into his cubicle office to take him with you to a crime scene or to interrogate a witness or suspect. when he first told you a random riddle and wanted to die on the spot as if he said something horrible, you just pondered it and actually gave it a try. hell, your answer wa correct and you never shooed him for spurting random brainteasers every now and again. you made his life thrilling and exciting, you made him feel included in something. soon enough, it wasn't just about the case, you two just hung out as like regular friends, you treated him like a friend and you even called him that once and-
he soon learned to love how strong and imposing you actually were. whenever you burst into his office, you practically lifted him off the chair with one arm as you pulled him behind you to get onto the newest lead. because of your threatening stature, he never heard even a teasing word directed at him whenever you were around. once, when you were walking in, you saw one of his coworkers being slightly mean to him and you took him by the lapels, lifted him up to your eye-level and practically snarled at him. Ed's never had someone defend him this way. you made him feel safe and protected and you showed him that he really could count on you. you were there for him. you actually cared. he couldn't really handle that
it's not just your protectiveness over him that's hard to handle. you make him nervous in the best of ways (sometimes the worst, since he's stuttering uncontrollably when he really wants to tell you something), your comments make him shy away but it's because he's so bashful and you're so fucking kind and nice to him. whenever you call him cute (or any variation of the word), his soul leaves his body. whenever you grab him and pat him or just even brush against him, it's like electricity is shooting right through him, he feels 10x times more sensitive. you even picked him up one time just to prove that you could! (he didn't need you to prove anything but you were hellbent)
and you... oh, you fucking love flustering him. it's just so easy and yet so much fun! even a look could get his ears red sometimes. and he was so slight compared to you. you wouldn't call him weak per se, you saw him manhandling some stuff, but compared to you he was but a twig. not in a belittling way though. you didn't mean to make him feel weak and you could see that he didn't, that he understood what you meant. but he was barely taller than you and so... liftable that you couldn't help yourself sometimes. ruffling his hair, pinching his cheeks, squeezing his shoulders - honestly, you'd take any excuse to touch him. sometimes, no excuse is the best excuse. you loved to feel him tremble when you got close
and while he helped you out with cases and more technical problems, you were always there to wrestle anything into submission for him, even if it was a jar lid
one of your favourite moments was when one evening you gave his shoulders a quick massage. you knew they were tense and more importantly, you knew they were sensitive (you still remembered the way he shuddered when you grasped his shoulders and leaned over his sitting form one time), so the second you got your chance, you took it. you two were at your place (again), one thing led to another and you were standing at the back of the couch, massaging his neck and shoulders and making him let out delightful little whimpers. he tried to stifle them so bad, to no avail of course. he couldn't even form a sentence, just nodded and mumbled/grunted weakly at your questions. with how hard he's gotten then, you thought he genuinely might bust in his pants. of course, he excused himself to the bathroom once you deemed him relaxed and spared him more of this sweet little torture, for obvious reasons, and really, that's when you knew you had to make your move. he was way too shy to do it on his own
initially, you didn't think you two would get romantic. you really didn't. you considered him a good friend, he was one. you loved talking with him, drinking beer every now and again, having him help out your case. but you could feel him grow on you. you could feel yourself grow protective, possessive almost. you knew he felt that too, you could see that wild, frantic possessivenes in his green eyes when one of your coworkers tried to shoot their shot with you, and you wanted to unleash it. you wanted him to bare his all to you, you wanted to take care of him, you wanted to fucking press him down into the mattress and fuck him into oblivion
so, when you finally led your case to a close, to 'repay for his assistance' thorough the whole investigation, you took him out to a nice restaurant. hell, you let him pay to help him feel in charge of something, even though it was you that asked to go. and you made good on that promise with fucking him into the mattress

Friendliness
A/N - ha so i just wrote this - no editing we die like men. here’s the alternate ending to my other post Likeability (this one is the more predictable one y’all will probably like whoops) if you’ve read the other one, just skip to the end it’s all the same in the middle
Summary - The Team meets a very unfriendly scientist which Spencer’s taken a fancy to
W/C - 2.9k (whoops)
Warnings - Mild Anatomy/bones/etc discussion, a pinch and change of swearing
----
Luke is holding his stomach in his hands. He could usually pride himself on keeping his cool, keeping his head—and stomach—together during a case. He’d seen enough dead bodies that this shouldn’t have thrown him like he’d just sailed twelve foot waves in a dingy.
But he is, after all, standing over a mass grave. Watching a too giddy scientist dig up the bodies.
You’ve captured everyone’s attention, for various reasons. Rossi is vaguely amused by your joyous shouting of bones and your rat moustached assistant. Luke can’t tear his eyes away from the car wreck—are you supposed to swing bones around like baseball bats? Reid seems more interested in your bad jokes and coveralls than he is in solving the case.
The rat assistant—Stewart Walsh—squeezes between Luke and Reid, scuttling like some kind of diseased turtle. “Doctor Y/L/N!”
You barely stop pouring over the mud covered pelvis in your hands to even acknowledge him.
“I just thought you should know that Dr. Evanston just got here.”
You look up, toss the bone to him, and snort. “Tell him the soil samples are four miles due east from here.”
“What’s wrong with Evanston?” Luke asks to no one in particular it seems, waving Stewart off to run for a group of approaching nerds in coveralls.
Ignoring the question or maybe Luke, you just turn back to your search. Elbow deep in mud, being nice must not have been on the to-do list. Reid leans over, hands in his pockets, and whispers, “Evanston stole one of her research papers. I thought he was going to get his teeth kicked in—“
“Skull!” you holler. Luke isn’t stupid enough to miss the glare reserved for the sheepish Dr. Reid.
He clears his throat. “Thoughts so far, doctor?”
“I’m thinking beetles,” is all you say before turning back to your skull. Luke might not know many scientists, but he doesn’t think that most of them look at human skulls like its the Mona Lisa. Like this fat piece of bone held the answers to the universe inside its empty eye sockets.
“Beetles?” Luke coughs. Rossi just shakes his head. Pretends this isn’t a conversation he’s having. Reid is still studying you like Luke might study infiltration schematics. Stewart runs up, out of breath, very rose coloured.
You’re eyes are sparkling as you wade over to them with a new radius bone in your hands. Everyone bends like they know what they’re looking at and you point along the edge of the bone. “It’s a subtle difference but these bones have been cleaned before being buried. My guess is carrion beetles. They’re very hard workers. And—“ you switch to pointing at the radial head— “minute scoring and kerf marks. These look pretty old, so I’m assuming we’re getting close to the bottom.”
“So our unsub dismembered his victims,” Rossi begins, “then cleaned the pieces?”
You nod and hand off the bone to a very blushing Stewart. “I won’t know for sure until I’ve had a chance to examine all the bones. There’s nothing definitive yet. What a hobbyist though, right?”
You chuckle to yourself and dive back into fishing out more finger and wrist bones. Luke turns, runs his hands over his face, and hikes a thumb over his shoulder. “Where did we find her?”
Rossi shrugs, “FBI easter egg hunt.” Luke blinks, while Rossi chuckles at his gullibility. “Come on, the doctor’s the best in the field. Good kid, I can tell.”
“Y/N’s great,” Spencer absently adds on, too busy staring at you. You’re explaining different types of dismemberment to Stewart like you’re discussing the rain. Luke grips onto his stomach just a little tighter.
“Y/N, huh?” Luke teases, momentarily forgetting the unsettling feeling in his gut about you. “You two, uh, friends or something?”
It’s Reid’s turn to stumble. “Yeah, but it’s—we’re just—we’re just—.”
Rossi shakes his head, slaps Reid on the shoulder. “Oh yeah, just friends. So, tell me. Do you talk about dismemberment before or after you make out?”

JJ wants to beg Emily not to make her go down into the basement. You’re down there. She knows it’s childish to be this avoidant—you are just a person after all. A creepy, psychopathic weirdo that makes JJ’s gut churn. She gets why Spencer’s taken to you—shared love of science and random trivia. She does. But that doesn’t mean JJ enjoys the cold ass morgue, smiling along as you ramble. Most of everyone’s limited contact with you has involved random facts and Stewart’s too intimate knowledge of fracture patterns.
There had been ten minutes of reassurance from Emily that you were, in fact, not a horrible person. Ended with JJ making the cold and dark trek down to the morgue. She couldn’t imagine working down here all day long. No one to talk to, no one to strategise with, no where to go. Maybe it suited you. No one would have to listen.
“—don’t know what to do!” echoes across the bottom of the stairwell, the morgue’s doors cracked open. The distress breaks JJ’s heart. Your voice stops her dead in her tracks.
“They don’t hate you,” Spencer’s voice comes after. Gentler, softer. “They—they just don’t know you yet.”
“They don’t want to, Spence!” and JJ winces with the words. It always hurt more when the truth came out in that tone. “I get it! You know? I work with human remains and don’t bring my people skills with me when I’m on the job, but—that shouldn’t matter!”
JJ winces again, tries to ignore how those are nothing short of teary sniffles echoing through her ears. She leans back against the wall and has no idea what to do. Spencer had obviously been down here for hours. Knew you well enough to get the teary truth. What could she do now? Interrupt?
She’d walked into hostage situations less freakin’ stressful than this.
“You’re right,” Spencer soothes, steadfast and strong, “it doesn’t matter. This isn’t—“
“It’s not your fault,” you sigh. JJ doesn’t want to hear the strangled touch to your voice. Doesn’t want to hear the break. “They’re your friends and I’m just your—“
“Doctor!” Stewart calls and JJ could scream. You’re his what?
At least, it’s as good as any moment to intrude.
“What, Stewart?” you snapped, already broken away from Spencer with wet cheeks and stained glasses. You wipe them off haphazardly with the tail end of Spencer’s sweater sleeve—JJ couldn’t help but smile, even if it’s a little strangled.
Stewart jumps like a wet cat and tosses a bundle of files into your hands. “Beetles.”
One word snatches the tears from your face. Snatches you away from Spencer’s side for one of the dozen skeletons on the tables. There was no reason to think that she’ll get her report from you now. With a rib bone in one hand and contemplation in your features—JJ can’t decide how unnerved she is—you’re a little too concentrated.
Stewart scuttles around you. A little too attentive. A little too cherry tinted. Yep. No reports to be had from either of you. JJ turned to Spencer instead, hoping that maybe he’d be helpful. Plastered up like a billboard, JJ knows that saccharine smile isn’t going to get her anywhere.
“Spence?”
He hums, halfheartedly tearing his eyes away. “Yeah?”
“I need the latest report for Emily, but I don’t think—“
“I’ll—just a second, JJ.” Spencer grins, sugary sweet, and slips away. JJ doesn’t miss how he places a hand on your shoulder as he passes. How you barely even notice that quite intimate contact. She also doesn’t miss how Stewart’s face sours at the action, how his eyes narrow enough that Spencer feasibly should’ve noticed.
Reports in hand a minute later, JJ leans over to Spencer. Elbows him in the arm. “Stewart seems pretty jealous. Any reason for that?”
Spencer shrugs. “Wouldn’t know a thing about it.”
#
Rossi doesn’t have an opinion. Everyone keeps asking—oh Rossi, you’re the wisest of us all, what should we do about poor little Y/N? He doesn’t know, doesn’t care. You are just some scientist who is doing a thousand percent better job than any other forensics ‘expert’ he’s had the pleasure of working with.
Your lab doesn’t smell. You don’t smell. Is there anything more to ask for?
But he does get the brute of having to make the trek down to the morgue—god, his knees alone—and receives most of the reports from the not as horrible as everyone thinks Dr. Y/N Y/L/N. Who is joyfully humming while squinting over one of the skeleton’s hands.
“Hey, doc,” he calls and you look up at him with an adorable sort of grin. “Got anything new?”
“Sure,” you chirp. Hesitate to wave him over. “If you want the details, that is.”
Rossi shakes his head, pulls up a stool to sit next to you and your subject. “I like to have as much knowledge as I can. You never know what will lead you to your un-sub.”
You settle your elbows on the table, straighten a stray finger bone. The team shouldn’t be worried about you being a psychopath. You’re dedicated, careful, attentive. Rossi hopes that if he ever gets turned into human remains, you’re the one looking over him. There’s been more care put into one skeleton than into his three combined marriages.
“You’re in luck,” you answer, “I’ve got a lot to tell you about our attacker. You’ve got time, right?”
Rossi nods, smiles. “Plenty.”

Penelope still hasn’t met you and that kind of pisses her off. You haven’t made it upstairs once? She flies into some dingy Wyoming hovel of a police station for like a week and no one’s thought to bring you upstairs? Rude.
She’s sitting in JJ’s desk chair, waiting for her and Luke to get back from interviewing a potential lead—some ex-felon who fit your makeshift profile. Reid’s scouring over some boring geographical profile, trying not to get annoyed as she nervously—angrily—rants about the case to him. She knows he’s tuning her out, but her work’s been put on the back burner until someone comes up with something to give her.
There’s only so much a computer can find and she’s no profiler.
It’s about five minutes after Reid snapped and left to get a coffee refill, when she picks up a call from the desk. “Hello?”
Creaking metal and shuddering breathing comes first. “Set the scalpel down” comes second.  She swallows, silent, and panicking. What the heck is she supposed to do? Paying attention to those hostage negotiation seminars that she definitely didn’t go to would’ve come in handy right about now.
Said scalpel clatters onto some metal table, followed by a strong, “You really don’t want to do this. Please put the gun down.”
Oh god, this is happening.
“You just—“ a male voice snips, bellowing out, “YOU DON’T LOOK AT ME.”
“I do look at you, Stewart,” you plead just as JJ and Luke clamour through the bullpen’s door. Penelope puts the call on speaker, mutes it, and screams for them.
“I don’t know what to do,” Penelope sobs professionally, “someone’s got a gun.”
JJ runs for Emily’s office while Reid returns heedlessly. Luke puts a soft hand on Penelope’s cold one and squeezes. Newbie or not, it’s appreciated as the man’s voice returns. “I’ve tried for so long to get you to—to just—just look at me! I’ve done so much!”
“I know, Stewart,” you ease and Reid tenses. Nearly drops his coffee. “It’s not your fault. You’ve worked so hard.”
“Yeah,” Stewart sobs; Penelope can only imagine how crazy this kid must be.
“Did you leave all those bodies for me, Stewart?” you question and everyone holds their breath. Luke squeezes harder on her hand. Reid’s twitching like a rabbit’s nose, a death grip on his mug, frozen as a Michigan pond.
Stewart sniffles. Probably nods. Penelope doesn’t know whether to run or sit or cry. She decides it’s probably cry, but instead her fingers start moving to record the call, trace the office origin.
“It was a great puzzle, Stewart, it was really genius. It was a fun case to follow, you know that.” You swallow hard, metal tinkles through the speaker. Please, Penelope begs, don’t let them kill each other. I haven’t met the doctor yet!
“Why did you kill these girls, Stewart?” your voice is so gentle and lulling Penelope almost forgets that she’s listening to you try to save your own life.
“I wanted you to look,” he says, sniffles. “I wanted you. I want you, Y/N. I want you to love me.”
It’s either her computer beeping or someone falling through a table or a gunshot. She doesn’t know. She’s crying too hard to care.
#
Tara doesn’t know when she started to run—probably just after JJ, Luke, and Reid barrelled passed her by the bathroom shouting about the situation—but she’s almost to the morgue doors, right on Reid’s heels. Lord almighty, she feels so stupid. She’d had enough little one on one chats with Stewart to know he was some sort of psycho in disguise. To know that something was wrong with that kid. No one could last more than three minutes with your grad student assistant without wanting to take an eyeball out—his or theirs it didn’t matter. She’d let herself believe you when you told her that all forensic anthropologists seem like that. That there was nothing to worry about.
Nothing to worry about her ass.
Luke’s the first to storm the morgue, expecting what Tara is: you, dead, on the floor with Stewart on the brink of killing himself. But they stop and they stare and Reid beams on with the absurd look on your face.
You’re shaking with rage, pointing a gun at a very unconscious, crumpled, bleeding Stewart Walsh. Your teeth are bared in what Tara would consider out of a comic book—ludicrous and of someone who’s completely lost their mind. JJ makes the mistake of asking if you’re alright.
“Alright?” you chirp, feral and ravenous. JJ and Luke shrink back as you shout, “I lived in Honduras for three years! This isn’t even the worst thing that’s happened to me. It’s my third fucking kidnapping!”
“T-third?” Luke croaks.
“Third!” you shout again and recklessly set your gun on the table. Spencer grins, which sets you off further. “I’ve been nice. I’ve been accommodating. But this is my fourth psychotic grad student! I fucking swear—!”
Stewart groans—thank god he’s alive—and Spencer, thankfully, rushes forward to catch you before you can take anything else out on the kid. Tara’s heard rumours about mysterious other instances of your being under arrest. Illegal transportation of goods was one thing, police brutality was another. The scalpel sticking out of his knee is bad enough.
She helps Luke haul Stewart to his feet, reeking of desperation and a much needed psych eval. JJ follows close behind, closes the morgue doors behind them. But not before they hear your muffled sobs and Spencer’s smiling.
“You got him, Y/N.”
“No, Spence,” you correct, and Tara can’t help but be proud, “I kicked the snot out of him.”
#
Emily is barely awake when she sees it. JJ’s soft breathing next to her is lulling by itself, let alone if you add in Rossi’s rhythmic snoring and Luke’s idle whispers of sleep talk. Emily could do with some sleep and maybe a few days off. They could all use a few days off, especially after coming to terms with the fact a grad student had killed 12 women just to get a little action.
From a scientist who freely admitted to enjoying the company of bones over real people.
Alive people.
No wonder Stewart had done what he’d done.
Emily turns in her spot, lays back against the wall of the airplane and the seat. After nearly five decades—she’s never thinking about that again—of plane rides, she can comfortably say she can sleep anywhere. With any amount of noise, or cold, or pain.
But her eyes are accidentally open when she peaks around the seat cushion. Spies the Wild Dr. Reid in his natural habitat, reading some ridiculously long book and…carding his fingers through your hair? He’s got a lock curled up around his finger, gently twisting it as he reads. You’re sleeping—knocked the fuck out—in his lap, gripping loosely onto his leg.
You deserve the sleep, Emily decides with a smile. You’d worked the hardest on the case, up for nearly four days with as little rest as you can manage. How Stewart managed to stay awake enough to attack you is beyond Emily. She’s missed out on a few hours just today and she’s losing the battle with her eyelids.
No one ever asked her opinion of you. Probably didn’t have to. You were not the easiest to like, but you’d captured her respect and a bit of her heart when you’d said at the beginning of the case: “I’m an excavator by trade—I’m at archeological digs most of the time—so it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that these ladies are murder victims. I don’t think I’ll sleep until I’ve got names for them. And maybe the murderer on my table.”
Emily understood the unease, the apprehension. Why everyone was relieved when you’d turned down the plane ride she’d offered you. How they all bit back groans when Emily had insisted. But they’ll have to get used to it, Emily thinks and she settles again. Because they’ll see you again. No doubt about it. The way you’re wrapped up around Spencer, how you hold tighter when the jet bounces a touch, says just that much anyway.

Birthplace: Wayhaven
Ethnicity: English (Rebecca’s side), German (1/3 on father’s side)
Job: Detective with the Wayhaven PD & human liaison to “The Agency”
Phobias: Fear of not being in control. Whether losing their senses, being unable to control their own fate, or anything that catches them off guard. Iona operates in facts, statistics - when that fails them, it makes them incredibly uneasy. In addition, Iona vaguely just has an issue with intimacy, but that’s less a fear than a fast and loose comfort thing.
Guilty Pleasures: Singing / music? The detective cannot play or sing to save their life, but they love experimenting with sounds and listening to all kinds of music. It’s liberating to them.
Hobbies: Collecting! Anythng really, whatever catches their interest for a few months at a time, Iona will go antiqueing, stay up late to win Ebay auctions, and whatever else to amass a collection of junk. After getting to know Mason, they even started collecting snuff boxes, even though they don’t smoke.  Plus, photography! Originally, they were on the newspaper in high school, but it grew further into their police work and then a side job. An amateur wildlife photographer, mostly gets pictures of Wayhaven’s local rock doves rather than anything exotic - until the supernatural comes to town.
Languages: English primarily, but studied German and French for about a decade. A little rusty due to disuse.

OTP: Iona/Mason
OT3: Natalie/Iona/Mason if that was possible I guess?
BroTP: Iona/Natalie, Iona/Ava, Iona/Felix (I just want everyone to be friends wow)
NOTP: Iona/Bobby (Bobby thinks it can still happen, but Iona has smoothly moved on from that. Mostly.)
5  F A C T S
The detective is trans and changed their name a few times throughout their life, but landed on Iona Gray as their full name - legal and all. Rebecca does have a different last name because of this too.
The detective is a hoarder. They manage to keep it under control, but if a bad mental health day hits or work piles up - Iona can get overwhelmed with all their stuff.
Iona wants a dog desperately, but simply does not have the time currently. So they volunteer to walk and dogsit their neighbor’s pets all the time. (Perhaps they only talk to their neighbors to get access to their animals?)
The detective almost flunked out of college (around the time they were involved with Bobby) and they were a wreck during that time. Eventually, with some assistance with their mental health and learning disability, the detective was able to finish their studies in sociology and forensic criminology.
Iona honestly wanted to work in the forensics area of the precint, but as Wayhaven is a smalltown, they were needed much more in a field position and later on, as a detective. Iona still likes to sit down with Dr. Verda to discuss cases or help him out with processing lab tests.

the lovers in the crosshairs
find the rest on AO3 here
Lena was fucking furious, and the cocksure blonde-haired FBI Agent grinning at her, hands low on her own hips, that stupid multicolored tie standing out against her white dress shirt and black suit was the direct, and only cause.
“I am not coming with you Agent Danvers.” She was barely keeping her voice contained – anger causing her cheeks to flush, her jaw clenching in the way it did when she was incredibly agitated.
She had never felt such intense dislike for another person before, but the Agent always managed to rile her up in 10 second flat.
“You definitely are. Got it signed off by your boss and everything Luthor.” Agent Danvers’s blue eyes are wrinkled at the corners as she continues to grin that stupid lopsided smile and Lena wishes she could scream.
“No. I have much more important things to do than be at the beck and call of the FBI.” She begins to walk away from the Agent, but the taller woman infuriatingly comes to stand in front of her, placing her large hands on Lena’s shoulders.
“I’m afraid that’s not really how this works. You kinda have to come with me.” There’s still amusement lacing her tone, like she knows she’s got Lena backed into a corner.
“You can’t make me, Agent Danvers. I will file a formal complaint with your superiors if you try.” She shakes off the hands on her shoulders and stomps off from the way she came, cursing inwardly when she hears the Agent’s hurried footsteps behind her.
“Wait! Wait. What can I do to get you to come to see this body?” She jogs in front of Lena, coming to a stop, halting her movements.
“Say you need me.” She crosses her arms over her chest and quirks an eyebrow. She’s aware she’s being petulant at this point – she’s a federal employee and if her boss signed off on this, she really doesn’t have a choice, but still.
She doesn’t care for being yanked from doing her actual job.
Agent Danvers splutters for a moment, but must realize Lena is completely serious, because she throws those broad shoulders back and stares directly into Lena’s eyes.
“Dr. Luthor – I and the FBI need you to help us identify the remains we found. Please come.”
She’s infuriatingly earnest but it does little to quell Lena’s anger.
“I want to be a full partner. No more being stuck in the lab. If I do this, I want in on it all.”
At this, the earnest look on Agent Danvers’s face shifts to one of complete and total incredulousness.
“No. Out of the question. I’m not letting a squint into the field.”
Lena smirks. “Well then, I guess we are at an impasse Agent Danvers.”
She turns to walk away but is stopped by a gentle hand on her elbow.
“I’ll have to clear it with the home office.” She has a crinkle in-between her eyebrows, like she’s worried she may not get the clearance, but Lena feels somewhat mollified.
She decides to push her luck.
“And I want a gun.”
Agent Danvers snorts. “I’ll get you in the field but absolutely no to the gun thing. Why do you even need one? You’ll have me.”
“All the more reason, Agent Danvers.” She scoffs but the Agent just rolls her eyes.
“Get in the car, Luthor.” She drops Lena’s elbow and makes her way to the black standard issue SUV sitting on the corner, not even bothering to open the passenger’s side door.
“It’s Lena!” She shouts helplessly after the agent, but follows, nonetheless.
----------
Present Day
“The FBI and the Washingtonian have been working together since the Bureau’s initial conception. However, forensic anthropology first came to the Washingtonian in 1903 with Ales Hrdlicka, the first curator of physical anthropology. It’s a proud tradition, and we now help not only identify the remains of those long lost to history, but we assist the FBI, State Department, and sometimes even national security.”
Lena pauses, swallowing down her nerves as she looks out into the packed crowd of Georgetown students. She shuffles the papers on the podium in front of her, pausing when she sees a set of blue eyes peering back at her from the third row.
They make contact, and for a moment Lena can feel her face warm. Clearing her throat, she looks away, and returns to the words in front of her.
“I am proud to be a part of that history and tradition, the first woman to be named the head of the forensic anthropology department…..”
Her presentation had gone over well, the students had asked engaging questions, and she had walked off the stage feeling like maybe she had interested a few of them into looking into the field.
She had just finished shaking the Dean’s hand when she saw Agent Kara Danvers leaning nonchalantly against the wall, black suit jacket hung over her shoulder, pants hung low on her hips, gun visible in its holster as she scrolled through her phone.
Her ridiculous belt buckle gleamed in the light, the four-leaf clover with the words “rub for luck” making a mockery of Lena’s Irish heritage; tie donned with small ice cream cones wholly unprofessional for the gravity of her job.
As was becoming common to Lena, she felt a slight flutter in her chest as she took in the Agent’s casual way of taking up space, blonde hair in a ponytail, biceps straining against her shirtsleeves.
She pushed it down, telling herself it was nothing and cleared her throat.
Kara’s head snapped up, an easy smile gracing her face as she took in Lena. Shrugging her jacket on she made her way over.
“Hey partner. Good job up there.” She gave Lena a double thumbs up after she slipped her phone into her jacket’s inner pocket.
“Thank you. I’m surprised you came; I know how you feel about scientific presentations.” She replied as she smoothed down the front of her dress.
Kara just shrugged as they began to walk side by side down the hall towards the exit.
“Well I mean, the big words confused me, but I got the gist.”
Lena snorted, aware by now that Kara was much smarter than she liked to let on, used to the easy banter they often fell into.
“Do we have a case?” She asked, trying to suss out Kara’s true reason for being at the university that day, as they stepped out into the harsh D.C. summer sun.
“Yep.” Kara replied, popping the p as she slid her aviators on and jerked her head towards the black SUV that Lena had become familiar with these past 6 months.
Kara opened the door for her, a marked change from the contentious beginning of their partnership, and Lena murmured a thank you before climbing in.
“So, what is it this time?” She asked once Kara had gotten settled in the driver’s seat of the SUV.
She felt the car jolt forwards as they merged into the heavy traffic and looked over to see Kara’s pursed lips. “Well, you see it’s an interesting one apparently. Kind of high profile. I had to fight to get you on it.”
“Why?” Lena was genuinely surprised at that – she had more than proven herself to the FBI and was the world’s foremost forensic anthropologist. She was an incredible asset to any case.
“Because of where we’re going.” Kara supplied unhelpfully and Lena felt the agitation rise at being kept in the dark.
Kara liked to do this to her, she had figured out early on. Make her play some odd version of the children’s game 20 questions before finally telling her what it was that they were walking into.
“Kara, I don’t have the patience for this, just tell me where we are going.” She sighed heavily, preparing herself for some smart quip, but when she was met with silence she glanced over.
Kara’s jaw was clenched, her hands tight around the steering wheel, and she took a deep breath before replying.
“There’s a burnt body, on the rooftop of a hotel. It’s strung up, like a crucifixion.”
“Well that’s interesting. Why would you have to fight for me to be on a case like this? Logically I’m the most likely one to be able to identify remains such as those you’re describing.” She furrowed her brow, mind racing over all the burnt and charred remains she had identified in war torn countries, unable to understand why she wouldn’t be wanted.
“It’s not that. You’re the best, I know that. It’s because of what hotel it is.” Kara’s voice was soft, like it only got with Lena, when she was trying to break something down to her in a way Lena would be able to process.
“I don’t really understand why the location would preclude me from being brought onto a case.” Lena huffed, frustrated at the idea of such an insignificant factor having anything to do with her credentials.
She sat in thought for a while longer, Kara staying silent as she let Lena figure it out on her own, as she often did at times like these.
When her mind stumbled on to it, she felt her spine go rigid in the leather seat.
“It’s Luthor Grand.”
(the rest is on A03 the first chapter is like 6,000 words and I didn’t want to put all of that on tumblr lol)

Undecided character intro - update
Tumblr media
Title: Undecided
Genre: Investigation, murder, masked behaviour.
Warnings: murder, psychotic behaviour, might be triggering.
Members: detective OT7 x Forensic scientist Reader
Summary: Moving overseas for a once in a lifetime job offer was one of the scariest things Y/N ever did. That was until she got stuck in a twisted investigation of random murders, all with one link but no leads. Closing in on the culprit(s) Y/N doesn’t realize the danger she’s getting into. With no family or friends, can Y/N dare to trust those seven closest to her with her life?
Note: These Profiles will be updated as the story progresses.
Chapter 4
•♡•
Kim Taehyung
Position: Lead Investigator
Known as the Boss of Z investigators, he is everything a boss should be. Charming, well build with deep almond/black eyes that can intimidate even the toughest of souls. Turns out he’s one hell of an actor and has a playful side to him. He’s very observant and calculating.
Tumblr media
Kim Namjoon
Position: Lab Assistant and overall Specialist
As one of the smartest members on the team, Namjoon helps where he can. He’s specialized in all the possible fields, but for the most part, he can be found in the morgue alongside Seokjin. Sneaky when he wants to be. Can move very quietly if necessary. His dimpled smile can brighten up any bad day. Loves using Nicknames on Y/N. (The other members soon follow in this game)
Tumblr media
Min Yoongi
Position: Investigator and Computer specialist
Alongside the help he lends Taehyung with the investigating part, Yoongi loves his computers. Need some files? No problem. Need to get information taken down? Sure thing. Anything you can think of, Yoongi can do it. Though he seems distant, he’s very kind-hearted and even more so observant. His presence is always unexpected. He also hides a very cute gummy smile underneath that emotionless mask.
Tumblr media
Jung Hoseok
Position: Investigator and Interrogation specialist
Being the sunshine infused person he is outside of the interrogation room, Hoseok can be one of the most intimidating humans alive when he steps through that door. He can get any information from anyone, yet no one really knows how. His smile and laughter can warm any cold heart. He does, however, hide his intimidation behind his smile.
Tumblr media
Park Jimin
Position: Forensic Analysis
His soft personality and shy demeanor are only a mask that hides the silent genius that comes to light when he steps into his lab. He’s knowledge of what the others call “potions” are way beyond normal levels. He never seems to stop smiling. He’s rarely seen in any other mood than happy and optimistic.
Tumblr media
Jeon Jungkook
Position: Forensic Photographer and Photograph analysis
His love for photography took a twisted turn when he decided to focus on the ’not so pretty’ part of life. Making post-mortem photos his specialty, he quickly became one of the best photographic analysists in the whole country. Being the youngest of the boys makes him act though and cold towards Y/N at first. He’s actually a very warm person to be around.
Tumblr media
Kim Seokjin
Position: Forensic Pathologist
Just as the youngest of the seven found his passion in capturing the deceased on film, Seokjin found his passion for finding out the cause of most unfortunate deaths. His passion for finding the truth will never cease to amaze anyone willing to listen. Being the oldest of the boys, Seokjin takes care of everyone. He’s very quiet and mostly only speaks when spoken to. Keyword being Mostly.
Tumblr media
Y/N
Position: Forensic scientist
A 20-year-old Forensic scientist that graduated way too early from university, finds herself in a foreign country for a job interview. She’s scared yet excited to meet the seven men she’ll be working with. Very observant and with the help of her overactive imagination, she’s able to see more than what the eye can. She trusts to easily and can be easily persuaded when approached correctly but that can prove to be difficult at times.
Skills: Problem-solving, observant, gullible and naïve.
