So, regarding the teaser for Lackadaisy Season 1 (beautifully made btw!), did anyone else notice this lil background sound effect?

Like, oh yeah, it’s an alley so it makes sense to have an alley cat to—… wait, huh??

Any theories on what (or, I guess who) is making that sound?🧐

But in all seriousness, the sound design in this teaser really is incredible, of course. It’s so fun rewatching to try and catch all the details that make it so immersive!

WE DID IT ❗️❗️❗️🙀🙀🙀😻

we did it. we did it. WE DID IT. WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the Lackadaisy Livestream last night!!! WE QUITE LITERALLY MADE HISTORY GUYS!!!

This is absolutely #lackacrazy and I'm so happy to be a part of it.

Yesterday, some of the Lackadaisy cast and producers and TRACY!!! got together and started a Lackastream! for the end of the crowdfund. The stream lasted 6 hours and 45 minutes (give or take) and by the end everyone was going insane? I mean people were somehow talking about twinkies? I don't even remember how we got to that topic. At some point, they all were talking about food and somebody said "Guys, we need to talk about food in the hottest way possible so they'll donate" And someone else goes "We have reached '✨Adult Food Hour✨' everyone!!! 😃😃😃" And I was wheezing so hard like 🤣💀

Basically what I'm tryna say is that it was a good time. This thing ended at 1:20am my time, (😅) but it was worth EVERY SECOND. I'm just glad I didn't have school in the morning is all I'm saying 😂

Lackadaisy is now (I'm pretty sure 🧐) the biggest? indie animation as of the last few years (they said something about that in the livestream but I was so tired I don't even remember exactly what they said. If you wanna go see for yourself, go back and watch the last 5 or 10 minutes of the livestream from last night. It'll be on there somewhere.) and we helped fund this! In fact, we completely funded it. Through Backerkit, but also through buying merch, superchats, and other donations. To those of you who didn't get to donate to the Backerkit for whatever reason, that's ok!!! You are helping just by supporting this amazing webcomic and by doing things like subscribing to their YouTube.

16,000 people donated to Backerkit specifically!!! I mean 2 MILLION DOLLARS folks. That's a lot of money! And if you think about that combined with the other stuff people gave in other ways, you get an impressive sum. We may not have had Mr. Beast donating, (it was going around in the chat room last night LMNO) but we have ourselves!!! And we did this! 🤩👏👏👏

People were literally joking about selling their organs on the black market to get money for this show? Like Tracy had to say, like on the livestream, "Don't donate if you don't have the financial meanz" I was dying y'all it was hilarious 😂

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO TRACY AND ALL THE PEOPLE INVOLVED WITH LACKADAISY IN SO MANY WAYS. THIS SHOW HAS MADE SO MANY PEOPLE, INCLUDING ME, SO HAPPY! I'M SO EXCITED TO BE A PART OF THIS!

HI so. As we know, Iron Circus is planning to fund more LACKADAISY episodes via Kickstarter with amazing items such as reprinting the books and - what's making me the most giddy - PLUSHIEEEESSSSSS of two fan favorite boys:

We passed the $300,000 stretch goal and got TWO MORE PLUSHIES!

AAAAAHHH LOOK AT THEM. PRECIOUS BABY KITTIES. If Mordecai has real metal spectacles, I can't wait to see what Ivy's detailing looks like.

Now we have four amazingly cute plushies. But......

Ugh I would love love love to see a Mitzi and a Viktor plush. In total, they'll produce TEN little kitty plushes. (Oh boy... that's $500 for the whole bunch... I'm just realizing that now).

I know 2 Million sounds like a lot, but we're already hitting 1.2 Mil as of 8/10 (We have 14 days until the campaign ends on 8/24!) Most kickstarters receive the bulk of their funding in the first 24 and last 24 hrs. In the first 24 hrs, this kickstarter raised HALF A MILLION! I believe with just a little more ruckus, advertising, and backing, we can make those plushies a reality!!!!!

So, whaddya say? Please help spread the word and let's hit that $2 Million goal!

It's LackaCrazy!! (The Lackadaisy Phenomenon Of 2 Million Dollars)

Last night, the Lackadaisy Backerkit for funding for Season 1 hit it's final goal of 2 MILLION DOLLARS, and ended up even surpassing it! With the help of 16,000+ backers, and everyone's support, we've done it. Thank you so much to everyone who backed it, and to everyone who gave the project their support.

Lackadaisy gives me faith in humanity, honestly. To see a heartfelt project get this much support that allows for it to be the best it can be makes me so happy. To see people worldwide get together to see something as silly as "Prohibition Era Gangsters But They're Cats" makes me smile so much.

Lackadaisy is a series that has made so many people happy, and it's been here since 2006. Long time fans that are not adults have seen the progress of the series as the years have gone by. Newer fans who joined because of the pilot tagging along for the ride. Friends and family of fans who have heard about it because of them. Everyone who has heard about and/or been a part of the Lackadaisy journey in some way, all of us make up a community of people coming together for something immaculate.

I hold Lackadaisy quite close to my heart. It's brought me great joy! I've met so many friends through Lackadaisy (I'm looking at yall- Star, Ari, Oddie, Roo, Sam, other Star, Wilma, everyone else there is so many of yall <3), and I've strengthened bonds with my current friends by telling them about Lackadaisy (Looking at yall- Remy, Leah, even some of my teacherz aha-)! It's a warm thing that brings people together, that's what Lackadaisy is.

There's so much passion that comes from Lackadaisy. Passion from Tracy, Fable, Newt, the whole team in their work. Passion from the fans with our fanart, fanfics, fan-ocs, words, and works of art in general. I've seen things and sides of humanity in Lackadaisy that I have never seen with many other things.

I am so proud to be a part of the Lackadaisy Fandom/Community/Family. It's a lifetime experience that has allowed me to have hope and see things that I never would have seen if I was not a part of this. There are a lot of little things that make Lackadaisy feel heartfelt. From the LackaLivestreams Tracy and the cast do, to how the Lackadaisy team keep up with the tag on multiple platforms, all these little efforts made make this fandom feel so seen.

The Lackadaisy Phenomenon of how 16,000+ people worldwide got together and raised 2 Million dollars for silly boozecat show is history, and we made it! This right here is the future of Indie Animation.

While Lackadaisy is definitely one of the silliest fandoms ever, I love it so much for that. We love to have fun here, and go LackaCrazy!!!!!!!

A reminder of how much we achieved:
