team voltron murder headcanons <3

keith: he slices some galra's head off to save a teammate. he has no reaction in the following moments or for the rest of the mission but once he's alone again he freaks the fuck out and has a moral conundrum. he isolates himself for weeks except for doing missions and talking to shiro about it. shiro has special keith freak out privileges.

hunk: absolutely capable of it. cries for an hour immediately afterwards but then he's fine. processes it out loud for a week though not caring who hears.

lance: it was an accident. he thought they were a sentry from where he was sniping. cries and blubbers about it for weeks on end. never fully gets over it really even after he has to do it over and over again. will definitely need sooooo much therapy once this war is over. like emdr or something.

pidge: honestly cannot bring herself to care that much about it. logics herself out of feeling bad. this is a war. of course she as a soldier in a war will need to kill some people. why is lance so upset.

shiro: numb to it. "guys, the galra had me fight as a gladiator for years," he tells the team when they question why he doesn't seem to care about the fact that they've killed people. "we... know?" they are all confused as to why this is being presented as new information. "did you think they just patched up the losers? come on. this is the galra we're talking about." the solemn air of this admission is ruined as shiro laughs at the realization that dawns on the teams' faces. he is so normal.

allura: she does her best to incapacitate rather than kill but she's definitely willing to if there are no other options. she is more repressed about it than anyone. she goes about her daily life pretending she's fine and doesn't care even though she's thinking about the fact she killed someone for 16 vargas a quintant.

coran: "i was charged with protecting the princess while the galra attacked altea. trust me, they were after her! but i wouldn't let them hurt my princess, you bet not! i went like THIS and THAT and--" he spends a varga miming all the ways he killed galra soldiers and then asks "hey wait where are you all going?" when the team tries to discreetly slip away. he will proudly tell you his body count.

Klance- When Keith is way with the blade of marmora

First of all, Lance is sooooo annoying when Keith is away. Bro will not shut up about his super hot grumpy emo boyfriend. Keith’s name leaves Lance’s mouth at least 199 times a day, if not more.

Second of all, Keith is the complete opposite. He gets really really quiet, more quiet than he normally is. He doesn’t mention Lance at all but his name never leaves Keith’s mind. He only really gets talkative around Lance so without him, Keith doesn’t talk unless he has to.

THEY TOTALLY SWAP JACKETS BEFORE KEITH LEAVES EVERY TIME!!! Keith has literally turned around and come back to the castle just to get Lance’s comfy green jacket. Keith likes Lance’s jacket bc it smells good and actually keeps him really warm. Lance likes Keith’s jacket bc it’s small and scuffed up and worn but he prefers to hold Keith’s jacket close to him rather than actually wear it all the time. He’ll just walk around the castle with the red jacket thrown over his shoulder or clutched tightly in his arms.

When Keith is only gone for a couple days, Lance gets sooooo excited when he returns to the castle. He goes running through the halls with red cheeks and the biggest grin to meet Keith in the hangar when he arrives.

“KEEF!!!” “I told you to stop calling me that.” “I missed you! Did you miss me? Oh my quiznak, you totally missed it! Pidge caught a piece of equipment on fire yesterday. It was so crazy and-“ Cue Lance talking Keith’s ear off while he just smiles and nods along.

If Keith is gone for longer than like a week, bruh it’s so dramatic when they finally reunite. Just picture a teary-eyed Keith on his knees, still in his blade suit, clutching a happy crying lance in his arms. They just miss each other sooooooo much.

The whole team is like 🥹🥹🥹

Pidge specifically is like “I’m not crying, you are…”

Pretty much every time Keith is traveling back to the castle, he’s exhausted. There’s a lot of pressure on him, a lot of weight on his shoulders right now. He’s always on high alert, super tense and barely getting sleep. BUT when he finally sees Lance again and hears his voice and feels his embrace, he gets a sudden rush of energy. Now he wants to pull another all nighter just to catch up and spend time with his bf.

Oddly enough, Lance spends a lot of his time in the training room when Keith is gone. No one’s really sure why but Shiro thinks is bc Keith is always training and so being in that room makes Lance miss him less, ya know? Pidge is like 99% sure it’s bc he wants to actually practice so he can impress Keith with a super cool new move he learned when he gets back. Pidge is correct

If Keith has any down time while he’s away, he likes to just daydream. There’s not much else he can do so he stares off into the distance and gets lost in thoughts about his tall dreamy boyfriend and the last time they made out and how he can’t wait to feel his thin arms around him again and how he misses the smell of his nightly face masks and the sound of his voice and the texture of his hair and the freckles on his tan face. I could go on for days.

The second Keith leaves, Lance begins planning 😈 He racks his brain with cute date idea and nice things he can get/make for his bae. Every time Keith returns, after the initial hugging and kissing and excited smiles and small talk, Lance is giving Keith something nice or trying to take him out for a space picnic or some sappy shit like that.

Pretty much every time a date is planned, it never happens. Keith first complains that he’s too tired to go anywhere and then convinces Lance to makeout cuddle with him in bed instead.

But Keith does get really flattered and smiley and red when Lance gives him a pretty rock he found on a planet close by or a stuffed animal from the space mall or something like that. He just feels so special and he thinks Lance is just way too cute and pure for this world. He’s like ‘aww he was thinking about me’.

While Lance runs his mouth all day about missing Keith and anticipating his return, the night time is different. Lance cuddles Keith’s jacket or pillow in bed and lays awake for a while wondering exactly what he’s up to at this very moment. Is Keith thinking about him right now too? Is he safe? When will be be back? Poor baby boy is stressed about the love of his life.

Lance often has nightmares when Keith isn’t in bed beside him. It’s almost the same bad dream every time, just slightly different. It’s always Keith is on a mission with the blade and ends up hurt or lost or…worse. And Lance wakes up in a cold sweat every time. He wouldn’t know what to do with himself if Keith never came back to him.

Keith will never mention it to anyone ever but he has bad dreams when he’s away from Lance too. He often dreams that he returns to the castle to find the whole team gone, Shiro Lance Pidge, everyone. It scares the hell out of him, he loses sleep over it a lot.

That’s why they’re so intense when they reunite after a long time away from each other. The longer they are apart, the more they both worry about the other and the more these terrifying dreams occur. So when they finally see each other again after like a two month mission, they’re so overwhelmed with happiness and relief that they are both brought to tears.

When they finally sleep beside each other again, OH MY GOD THEY BOTH SLEEP SO GOOD. They feel so comfy and content and safe.

Keith snores pretty much every night but when he comes back after a long mission and finally gets to fall asleep next to the love of his life, his snoring can be heard from Earth probably. He’s just finally relaxed enough to get some good sleep again, he can’t help it. Lance thinks it’s cute and he knows it’s bc his poor baby is sleep deprived.

Long story short, these two are so deeply and madly in love. I don’t think two people have ever been this in love before. Throughout this entire space war, the thought of each other is what really keeps them both going. They’re fighting for the safety of the universe…but they are each other’s universe 💙❤️💙❤️

AUGHHHHH YES THANK YOU I THINK SO TOO….!!!!!! Idk it’s kind of a mess when i try to put it into words but it’s like…something about them both being in the “shadow” of rapunzel and eugene respectively. they just both handle it very differently…bc lance i feel is always looking out for others and it leads him to neglect himself a lot, but when he really looks into it and he sees eugene’s growth and how he’s come into his own…how he’s found his roots and even his father….as happy for him as he is lance can’t help but feel a bit bitter sometimes. it’s the secondary character syndrome yk!!!! lance just hasn’t really reached a “breaking point” like cass has because he’s trying to manage it in a healthier way…he’s trying to make a life for himself with what he has and he’s realizing he likes things a lot as they are. but that doesn’t make that grief of what he wish he could’ve had just go away….so when he does confide in someone abt those feelings nobody rlly gets it more than cass does. and more than anyone else LANCE is the one who truly understands why cass did what she did.

this little fic of them is very important to me... this one is also one i think about a lot. it’s hard to find lance fics in this economy. :( i like to think they bonded a little leading up to destinies collide, not enough for cass to change her mind about leaving but enough to give them both some food for thought you feel me…..they both just have this unspoken Understanding with each other, and they both admire each other a lot. the shenanigans cass lance and eugene would get into would also be SO silly so it’s a shame we never really saw them interact </3

cass seems to be inherently drawn to the golden retriever type anyways whether she likes it or not so i’m sure lance and rapunzel drag her out on day trips all the time. she and lance gossip together and stuff yk...i think post series she’ll often still go out of the kingdom for work trips (in my head after settling with rapunzel she works as an ambassador for corona, mostly just to be able to get out more while still helping raps), and sometimes in the middle of the night as shes on her way back she’ll stop at his place in old corona just to steal food from him. leaves him a horribly written note and a cool rock or something. like. “Took a piece of the pie in the oven. There were already slices taken out so I figured it’d be fine. Oh I’m back btw. Not dead yet”

they also play pranks on eugene together ALL the time and this is canon actually i made the show. lance can honestly get her to do anything if he can convince her it’ll annoy eugene somehow /hj

ALSO LANCE BEING A WINGMAN FOR CASSUNZEL IS SOMETHING I NEED SOOOOO BAD AND I CANT BELIEVE NOBODY’S THOUGHT OF IT BEFORE. "Or else I'll follow you to your apartment" That was his best threat, he wouldn't think that could be effective and was thinking of another punch to add power to his words, but apparently only that line was sufficient to Keith. Because with that said, Lance saw how his smile disappear and he was tense in his chair. "…You know I will"

"…You can't say a word about this" that was Keith's turn to threaten him "Not even Hunk. Only Matt knows about this"

Lance couldn't help but look puzzled and relieved at that. Sighing with a smile and notice how much tension he released when his muscles melted on his chair.

"Oh thank lord"

"What?"

"For a moment I thought you…" Lance shut up as the realization hit him after he spoke. It was late to rub away his suspicion now that Keith was seeing him with confusion. "….I…I thought that you, you know"

Lance nodded while his chest felt light. Because Keith was trusting him enough to talk about something only his boyfriend knew.

"So…I left early, my people battery got low"

Lance waited for him to more details. But Keith didn't add any more.

"Wait…so…you vented?" He asked cautiously and was more relieved when the other nodded.

It wasn't like everyone had a crush on him (Lance hoped), just him. And no one was going to judge him, it was true, everyone loved him.

"So, relax man. You finally got to college, try at least to enjoy it"

Keith was silent for long seconds before sighing and nodding, smiling weakly but visibly more relaxed.

Lance suppressed a smirk to put on the best proud smile he had. Maybe he could use his crush situation to get Pidge to investigate a little about a said roommate, only to be sure that he wasn't an ass.

Isolde knows she's the most selfish person to have ever existed. 

 "Mama," Lance - five years old - slurs, so sleepy it would've made her heart warm, had the situation been different. "Where are we going?" 

 Isolde will burn for this, but she doesn't care. "Get in my bag," she advises, "I know it's not comfortable, but you'll be out as soon as we leave this kingdom." 

 "But, where are we-" 

 "Lance!" She hissed, before her voice softened, "please, just listen. I'll tell you later, I promise." 

 Lance shuffled his feet, his big eyes darting to the floor, before he hesitantly climbed into her large backpack. 

 She heard him giggle, "Mama… it's warm in here." 

 Isolde laughed gently, "yes, but you'll need to be quiet, okay? Don't make a sound, go back to sleep, can you do that for your Mommy?" 

 Once she could tell he was wiggling around, whispering how he would try his best, she made her move. 

 Isolde fixed her cloak, hood over her head, and slowly (and carefully) she put her backpack on. If anyone saw her in this late of night, not to mention the way it was snowing, they would not recognize her as the queen - she'd be just a red blur in a storm of white. 

 And so, she was. Nobody even glanced at her - and why would they? Everybody else was enjoying their holiday seasons - as it was the beginning of December - from the upcoming Winter Celebration to Diamond Crystal Watching, everybody else was too busy to look for two missing royals. 

 Once she'd finally found the trail she'd been looking for, she set her bag down. "Lance," Isode smiled, "you can come out." 

 Lance crawled out, looking rather confused. "Mama," he pretended to shiver violently, "it's sooooo cold!" 

 Isolde could feel it, too, the uncomfortable sensation of ice beneath her skin, but as they were both dressed in thick wool, they'd be fine, even if it did get a little chilly. 

 "I know, baby," she said, trying to sooth her middle child … or was he her only child now? "But where we're going, it'll be so beautiful and you'll be warm soon enough there." 

 Lance huffed, his little body collapsing on the ground. "Tell me more, or I'm not get-et-ing up."

 "Well," she leaned down to his level, "it'll just be me and you, and you'll have so many friends - you won't even have to go to that academy your father signed you up for!" 

 Lance stopped crossing his arms, his eyes guarded but more intrigued. 

 "Hey, i'll even get you a dog once we're settled," Isolde heard footsteps nearby, which meant they had to leave soon, but luckily, Lance was completely sold. 

 They walked, climbed, and hid for nearly four days, with Lance barely complaining, as he liked to explore. 

 "Mama! Mama! Look, look-" he dragged her by her sleeve, as she let out a sigh of relief, seeing the welcoming sign. 

 A golden butterfly landed on his nose, he went slightly cross-eyed looking at it in complete awe. He was still in his pajamas, along with his boots Isolde brought, but he now wore a blue cloak, similar to hers.

When the officer drops his key in Lance's hand, he spots a big red number seven on the side. He turns to Hunk hopefully but is disappointed when he's shown a green three on his card.

Allura cranes her neck to call Keith, who's staring at his key like it personally offended him. "Keith? What is the number on your card?"

"Seven," he replies, lifting his card for everyone to see. Lance's heart sinks to the floor.

After returning to Earth, the Galaxy Garrison forces Team Voltron to quarantine, and Lance shares a room with Keith.

Lance and Marcy had helped set up something for his birthday, it was a few days after it as spy buisness had kept them from finding the time to do so on the day, Walter's concentration was lack there of as he giggled stumbling through the door, obviously he'd been dropped off outside his house where his house mate lived with him, Tristan Mcford, he fumbled in the dark going to the kitchen, mmm he remembered he still had some cake in there...cake sounded sooooo good right now.

He opened the fridge door the soft glow filling the kitchen frowning at the empty space where the cake had been, he patted the shelf as if It'd make it appear.

He pouted oh yeah he'd eaten it at lunch...a snack bar would suffice instead.

In the door way stood a tall man, wearing nothing but a shirt and boxers , Killian had not gone to the party, loud events such as that made him uncomfortable, he was not one for socialising unless he had to, though Beckett was the exception, at least he knew not to talk to him until he'd had his morning coffee.

He leaned a shoulder against the frame watching Walter just giggle and search for the snack box, perhaps he should help him, he had wondered what the scientist would be like with a few drinks in him, it made him relax to know he was a giggly sort of drunk.

He walked over reaching up onto the top shelf, of course he'd put it up there without thought, he was pressed up against Walters back as he grabbed it off the shelf, it was just a moment of contact, he didn't know how to tell him how he felt...how did you tell a man as sweet as Beckett that you felt something for him, when you were someone who could kill with ease.

Walter turned around and looked up at him grinning, ohhh he could feel all of him and he liked it.

"Triiiistan, you look pretty in the moonlight."

Killian moved back, clearly seeing what was going through Becketts mind and he was not the type to have someone in this condition.

"That's the fridge light Beckett, you left it open."

He replied flatly.

Walter peeked around Killian, giggling,

If Killian had been drinking something he might just have done a spit take or spat his drink from laughing.

"Well if you lay down, I'll get into you then won't I."

Beckett winked, leaning forward and drawing invisible circles on Killian's chest.

Oh dear god Walter was a giggly horny drunk....he took Walters hand and shook his head

"No, I am not going to take advantage of you Beckett, you need to get to bed..."

Killian replied firmly, letting go of him and went to close the fridge door only to feel Walter wrap his arms around his waist and nuzzle against his back.

"Fine but only if you cuddle me to sleep, I demandeth the snuggles or I will find a way to remove your boxers."

Tristan stood up straight, what in the god damned hell of all being, this...this wasn't fair, he inwardly pouted because yes even reforming criminal master minds could pout when something they wanted was so close and yet circumstances made it so far.

His jaw clenched and he sighed

"Fine, but if you put your hands anywhere inappropriate Walter I will be putting you in your bed and locking my door."

"Yaaaay cuddles, mmm what do you like to drink Trillian?"

Walter asked still rubbing his cheek on Tristans back making contented sounds.

Oh yes he was indeed smashed.

"Walter, you literally just mixed up my alias with my name you need sleep...come on now, let's get you upstairs to beddy night night."

"Killian I told you not to say it like that."

Walter whined, gently headbutting Killians back, still not letting go of his waist.

"Yeah I know, but it's just too much fun teasing ya."

"You're a big meanie."

Beckett whined, lightly biting at him.

"Oi, now what did I say about no inappropriate touching."

Killian chuckled

"You still want that snack pack?"

"Yes I dooo."

Feeling Walters hands trying to go down he grabbed them

"Not that snack pack Walter, behave, I'm beginning to feel my virtue's at stake here."

He pulled out of his grasp and handed him the opened packet, Walter took it and huffed

"The only risk here is -

He took a bite and continued talking with his mouth full

"Is my virtue being in tact forever because you won't bend me over and take it."

Walters frustration was soon forgotten though as he cuddled up to Killian again.

Killian was internally flailing, screaming whatever you wanted to call it, how long had he felt this way, had he been missing the signs?

"Walter if you wake up feeling the same, sober where you have a clear mind and consent then I assure you I'll nail you more firmly to that bed than -"

Walter had reached up and started messing with Killian's hair

"You know you look good with messy hair, you want some?"

Killian's mind just stalled, he wasn't entirely sure if Walters mind had wandered because he was drunk or maybe changed his mind on wanting him to bed him, well if he had then at least he wouldn't need to worry about the cuddles Walter wanted, he leaned forward biting into the offered Marshmallow and rice treat, lips pressed against finger tips, he stole only fleeting moments like that where he was not so abrupt.

Killian shivered, it was cold in the kitchen at 2am after all

"Alright, we ate something, I'm tired, it's cold, bed's warm."

He took Walters hand and found the scientist very compliant as they went up the stairs, one of the reasons he'd agreed to the cuddles was because he was concerned the idiot might fall asleep in his own vomit if he were to bring it up in the middle of night and the idea of finding dead terrified him.

He stopped by his room and pulled a shirt out for Walter to wear then told him to get changed in the bathroom.

"Ooooo I always wanted to wear one of your shirts it'll be sooooo big on me, just like I know you'll be so big in-"

"Walter, bathroom get changed, piss and make sure to wash your hands."

Killian interrupted him, pinching the bridge of his nose, if they were in a relationship he'd help him change...he might still need to as Walter stared at him blankly as if everything he'd just said went right over his head, right well it was purely an innocent act of help, didn't need Beckett to make a mess all over the floor, he could only imagined how embarrased the young man would be in the morning if he remembered doing that.

He helped him remove his upper garments, Killian swiftly pulled the grey shirt over his head, looking away when Walter pulled down his pants, giggling

"You can look if you want you naughty man."

"No Beckett...not like this."

Mcford kept his gaze on the bathroom wall, thankful it was only the moonlight that lit up the room, he actually blushed, thee Killian, Tristan Mcford....robohand blushing at being called naughty in such a mischievous manner.

His robotic eye did flare though in brightness momentarily but thankfully and so very thankfully Walter had made it to toilet himself and even remembered to pull up the shirt, last thing he needed to deal with was a soaked shirt and having to give him a new one, he might actually tear Lance and Marcy a new one for leaving Walter like this.

Walter was clearly falling asleep now, Killian knew this because when he asked if he was done he heard a soft snoring and looked back to see Beckett leaning against the wall.

This wasn't the first time he had to handle a drunk man, he'd had friends on the team he'd lost who ended up like this.

He leaned forward and patted his face

"Come on Beckett, you'll get a stiff neck like that."

He grumbled, sighing as the younger man made a sound and sat up so abruptly he smacked his head on Killian's chin.

"Ooww I hit my head Killy..."

He leaned forward and rested on Killian pouting

"Kiss it better?"

Tristans nostrils flared, yes he was gonna kill Lance, Marcy politely though, a gentle man never made a mess of a woman's death...it was only a half threat he made privately perhaps if it'd been some months earlier he might have actually tried it.

"Fine."

He placed a quick kiss to his forehead

"There all better, now let's get your hands washed and put you to bed."

He managed to get that done without much hassle until Walter wrapped his arms around his neck and went all but limp

"Carry me, or I will sleep right here."

Killian was feeling a little done with this, not because he didn't want to, all he wanted to do was kiss him and tell him how endearing he was being, he didn't even argue he was tired and did want to get back to sleep, lifting him bridal style he carried Walter to his room, it seemed Walter was aware enough though to realise it was the wrong room and put a hand on the door frame looking at him

"Noooo that's my room, we gonna snuggle in yours rememberrr oh my god you're so pretty."

He giggled nuzzling Tristans cheek.

Why him, why did he have to be the one carrying the cute scientist at nearly three am, he would sneak out of the bed and sleep on the couch once Walter was asleep.

"You're an idiot Beckett at times I swear."

Killian retorted going down the hall to his room, he set Walter down who before he could even tell him not to take the left side of the bed had already settled into it.

"Mmmm comfy be comfier when you get in hurrrry need snuggle wuggles."

"I'll give you fucking snuggle wuggles in a minute."

Killian muttered under his breath, no he wasn't some huge softie, he could still feel aggravated, but when he looked down and saw Walter reaching out for him sleepily his annoyance melted away...alright maybe he was a little soft when it came to Beckett.

He climbed in and wrapped an arm around him, letting him snuggle up to him, he stroked along his spine just from the neck and down between his shoulder blades, feeling him settle completely into asleep, Tristan found himself too relaxed now to move, sleep was beginning to find him to.

"I love you Walter Beckett."

He whispered softly, gently kissing the top of his head and burying his face into his hair, he was finally confessing for the first time to him in a moment he felt safe and thought Beckett wouldn't hear him, the warmth of just holding Walter made Tristan wonder if he'd gone to heaven.

Walter woke up barely for a moment asking him if he'd said something, Killian only chuckled affectionately

"I said good night Walter."

"Oh...good night..."

Beckett smiled against his neck and kissed it lightly

"Love you to."

And fell promptly back to sleep.

Killian however did not sleep a single wink that night.

Damn it.
