For your series!!
What if Lee Everett wasn't a criminal? (The story begins the same way, but maybe he's in like a taxi instead of a police car)
What if Larry died at the motel a week after being saved in the meat locker?
What if Christa was a part of the New Frontier? (Maybe replace Clint idk he's kinda boring)
What if Lee had a son in Athens?
What if Ben told Lee about the deal with the bandits before the attack?
What if Brody outed Marlon before Clementine's arrival?
What if Carver killed Luke and Kenny?
Great great great stuff!
I'll definitely look into experimenting with these, the Larry one was something ive been thinking of a lot so thats good too :) thanks anon.

My Fav Rarepairs in Twdg
Brenda x Larry: OK this one sounds bad since they're both hated characters, but just listen. Now if Brenda and her boys weren't cannibals and we did just ended up living peacefully on a farm then they could've been a sweet couple. Like I hate Larry but I did think it was nice that he kinda found love with a woman who seemed to need it. I still hate them but they were cute together in that like one second that they could've been a thing.
Walter x Matthew: Ok this might sound confusing at first because well yeah they're a canon couple, but they literally have NO screen time together. I kinda hate the whole arc with Walter and Nick. Because well you convince Walter that Nick's a good guy then he literally lives for an episode longer and it ends up not mattering because Walter dies either way. So what was the point of killing Matthew off like that at all? Like I wish we got to see them interact as the first queer couple in twdg (at least if I'm remembering correctly).
Jesus x Tripp: I've seen Javi be shipped with Jesus and a little with Tripp, and both are cute but why haven't I seen two strong men with beard's kiss! WHY!?!?!? JUST LET THEM BE BF'S PLZ FOR MY SAKE!!! EHUHDUGRTYRBDBHJSHUIGEDUHDGREUGRTGERHVNJRGY734HW2QKRP[2RL3OI57689I3P4LP[2RKIOETYUEW5K
Now having said that..
Tripp x Javi x Jesus: This is my favorite ship in S3 I don't care if it's impractical I love gay poly ships and this one is no different!
Mitch x Louis: At first I thought it was a very funny and a bit sweet of a crack ship, but then it just grew on me, and now it's kinda my favorite Mitch ship... I know it doesn't make much sense but they are my everything so it's fine!?
Ruby x Clem: I love these ladies sooooo much!! Their both my favorite woman from the last game. I think their dynamic could be cute! A firey redhead who's also the mom of the group and a total badass who is basically a mom in a way. I also think it's cute that Clem is the taller one here because, in most of Clem's ships, she's the short one.
Violet x Brody: I think it's cute. That's literally it. I THINK THEY WOULD BE ADORABLE!!!!
Rosie x Everything good that world has to offer: Okk this one is just a silly one but let's be fr Rosie literally deserves everything good she's such a cutie <3 (I love Pitbulls sm)
If I'm gonna be honest I think most ships are pretty cute (Not including problematic ones)

Penn’s handing down disciplinary sanctions came nearly two months after it finally cleared protesters from school property with the help of the Philadelphia Police Department. The university had attempted to negotiate with the protesters, but its patience wore thin amid their escalating conduct. After hours of discussions failed to yield a settlement acceptable to both sides, interim president Larry Jameson publicly called the protesters a safety hazard while noting that they had committed acts of vandalism, including defacing a statute of Benjamin Franklin, one of the United States’ Founding Fathers, and “The Button,” a sculpture built in the early 1980s.
In addition to divestment from Israel, the demonstration’s leaders demanded that the university vacate a suspension of Penn Students Against the Occupation of Palestine, which the school shut down after multiple rules violations. Frustrated with the university’s refusing to grant them any concessions, masses of new people joined the encampment, expanding it over a larger area of school property and forcing the university to request additional security on campus.
“The protesters refused repeatedly to disband the encampment, to produce identification, to stop threatening, loud, and discriminatory speech and behavior, and to comply with instructions from Penn administrators and Public Safety,” Jameson said after the tents were dismantled. “Instead, they called for others to join them in escalating their disruptions and expanding their encampment, necessitating that we take action to protect the safety and rights of everyone in our community.”
Antisemitism fueled by anti-Zionism exploded at the university long before the “encampment” was set up, an action which was precipitated by Israel’s military response to Hamas’ massacre across southern Israel on Oct. 7. In September, it hosted “The Palestine Writes Literature Festival,” which included speakers such as Palestinian researcher Salman Abu Sitta, who once promoted antisemitic tropes, saying in an interview, “Jews were hated in Europe because they played a role in the destruction of the economy in some of the countries, so they would hate them.” Another controversial figure invited to the event was former Pink Floyd vocalist Roger Waters, whose long record of anti-Jewish snipes was the subject of a documentary released last year.
One day before the event took place, an unidentified male walked into the university’s Hillel building behind a staffer and shouted “F—k the Jews” and “Jesus Christ is king!” before overturning tables, podium stands, and chairs, according to students and school officials who spoke with The Algemeiner. Days earlier, just before the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah, a swastika was graffitied in the basement of the university’s Stuart Weitzman School of Design.

Most Beloved WWE Wrestler Tournament: Round 2 Statistics Dump
Followers: 251
Total Votes: 22,087 + 13,398 = 35,485
Times I realized I was not in-depth enough with my checking of wrestlers and forgot at least one which I only found out because I heard an old wrestler was being accused of murder and the name didn't sound familiar so I checked and it turns out he isn't included but have to remind myself that if no one mentioned him being missing from round 1, he probably isn't the most beloved anyway: once, thank god
Beloved By Gender:
We started with a split of 81.7% men to 18.3% women, which moved to 75% men to 25% women after the first round. After the second round of voting, our percentages are:
Tumblr media
Voting Trends:
During round 2, the voting totals ranged from a low of 360 votes per day to 554, with the average rising from 387 votes per day to 462 votes per day (Also I figured out how to add a date marking line how cool is that??)

Returns 1
Lee woke up in a forest, he coughed, before catching sight of Carley a couple feet away from him. The woman rolled over and stumbled to her feet.
“Lee?” Her voice was raspy, as Lee got up, the man nearly falling over when he realised his arm was still missing.
“Where are we?” Asked Lee, looking around.
“I was hoping you’d tell me.” Huffed Carley, as Lee coughed.
“No, no,” He shook his head, “you’re dead. Lilly shot you.”
“I remember turning around and finding Lilly’s gun in my face.” Said Carley, before spotting Lee’s arm, “What happened?”
“I got bit.” Answered Lee, stumbling, “Bit funny, I don’t feel like crap.”
A cough got their attention, a brown-haired man sat up. It took them a moment, before they recognised him as Ben.
“How’d you grow so fast?” Asked Lee, as Ben frantically checked his abdomen.
“I’m alive?” Ben turned and looked at Lee and Carley, “Wait, am I actually dead?”
R
Clementine was leaning against her desk, staring at Marlon and Brody, Minerva and another red head stood off to the side with Tenn, while Mitch glared around the room.
She turned and looked at Louis, “I’m assuming those mushrooms you found weren’t the healthy kind.”
“How is this my fault?” Demanded Louis, “They could just be some new breed of walker!”
Clementine gave him a flat look, “Right, some tell me what happened while I was gone.”
“AJ wanted to go with you to Richmond and sulked because he couldn’t go. He and Willy snuck of with a stick with a knife taped to the end of it and came back with Tenn.” Said Violet, staring at Minerva, “They all appeared at some point after that.”
“There’s also Lilly and some old fuck in the basement.” Chimed Louis, getting a glare from Clementine.
“Okay,” She nodded, “I’ll start there, Violet, we’ve got supplies from Richmond that need to be stored.”
Violet nodded, stopping when Clementine grabbed her arm.
“Keep an eye on our returned friends.” Murmured Clementine, “Something’s not right.”
Violet nodded, before hitting Louis, “C’mon, let put them to some use.”
Clementine sighed, before looking at someone who’d stayed behind, “Mitch?”
“What do you plan on doing?”
Clementine sighed again, “I’m going to try and provoke Larry into a heart attack.”
Mitch stared at her, “You’re going to solve a problem…by making another problem?”
“It’s the best I can think of.” Confessed Clementine, leaning back against the desk.
“You said Lilly was more dangerous after her dad died.” Said Mitch, “Killing him again would make her more-er dangerous.”
Clementine blinked and stared at Mitch, “How the fuck did you say something that was smart and stupid at the same time?”
Mitch glared at her, before they heard shouting outside.
“What now?” Growled Clementine, stalking out of the office with Mitch following after her.
“Put it down, now!” Yelled Violet, as Clementine and Mitch came up behind the crowd.
“You think we’re fucking stupid?!” Came a familiar voice.
“Brave coming from some dick shaking our fence!”
“C’mon, we can all be civil about this!” Clementine stopped, before frowning and pushing her way through the crowd.
“What’s going…” Clementine stopped and stared at the other side of the fence, “…on?”
Luke stared back at her, as Clementine looked over the group he was with. She spotted Nick and Pete towards the back, she slowly looked over the others with them, Kenny stared at her, while others from the Cabin group quietened down.
“…Clementine?” Asked Luke, jerked Clementine from her thoughts.
She turned and looked at Louis.
“Hey, I haven’t done anything!” Protested Louis, getting an eyeroll from Clementine.
“Put them in the hospital,” Sighed Clementine, gesturing to the building built from some supplies from Richmond, before looking over the crowed, “Hold on…where’s AJ?”
“He’s alive?” Asked Luke, with Clementine ignoring him.
“Er,” Louis looked at Violet, “he’s…fishing.”
“We don’t know where he is.” Admitted Violet, “He wasn’t here when we came out.”
Clementine groaned, “Okay, Mitch, come with me, Violet,” the blonde perked up, “you’re in charge until I get back.”
Violet nodded, getting a whine from Louis.
“Louis, you’re coming as well.” Called Clementine, walking towards the gate, “I don’t want to hear Violet bitch when I get back.”
“We’re comin’ too.” Said Kenny, making Clementine stop and turn to him.
“No, you’re all going to follow Violet to the hospital until we figure out what’s going on.” Clementine and Kenny stared at each other, before the man smirked.
“All right.” Kenny nodded, “We’ll talk when you get back.”
Clementine sighed in relief, before nodding.
R
Lee, Carley and Ben trudged through the forest, the boy that found them, AJ, said they would be welcome in their community. He pointed at a Walker, “That’s James, he pretends to be one of the monsters.”
“What?” Asked Lee, as the Walker looked at them.
“What’re you doing out here?” Asked the Walker, losing its limp and striding over to AJ.
“Helping people.” Answered AJ, as a man in a long coat, wielding a chair leg spotted them.
“AJ!” The man ran towards them, swinging the leg at James.
In a fluid motion, James grabbed the chair leg, kicked the man between the legs and pushed him to the ground. A moment later, another man and a young woman appeared near him.
Lee felt the air leave his lungs, recognising Clementine. Clementine stared at Lee, her demands dying in her throat. She suddenly felt lightheaded, the next thing she knew, she was falling backwards with her world going dark.
Mitch caught Clementine as she fell, looking at Louis, “Is she usually like this?”
Louis winced as he shook his head, “No.” He straightened up, walking towards her, “Give her here.”
Mitch passed the unconscious Clementine to Louis, before he looked at the people, he jerked his head and they set back off to the school.
R
Alvin watched Rebecca pace, before the blonde woman, Violet, walked in.
“Where’s Clementine?” Demanded Rebecca, glaring at Violet, “Where’s my son?!”
“AJ’s just got back with some other… ‘visitors’,” Violet looked around, “Clementine’s unconscious.”
“Is she alright?” Asked Sarah, from her place next to her father.
“She’ll be fine,” Dismissed Violet, “it’s probably nothing.”
“My dad’s a doctor.” Said Sarah, getting Violet’s attention.
“We have a nurse.” Dismissed Violet, leaving the room.
Walking towards the medical area, Violet spotted Ms. Martin checking Clementine over. Seeing the nurse walking out of the greenhouses was a tiny bit terrifying. There had been more of their friends coming back, which made Louis order them to expand their boarders.
Clementine sitting up made Ms. Martin step away, the young woman looked around and spotted Violet. Ignoring the older woman, Clementine walked up to Violet.
“Can you please tell her I’m fine?” Asked Clementine, pointing at Ms. Martin.
“No one faints for no reason.” Said the nurse, frowning at Clementine, “I know you don’t like feeling vulnerable, but you need rest.”
“I need to get supplies if we’re gonna expand.” Argued Clementine, stepping forwards and stumbling.
“I’ll contact Richmond,” Said Violet, “but, Ms. Martin’s right. If you fainted, it could be something serious.”
Clementine sighed, “Look, Vi, I need to keep busy. If I don’t, bad things tend to happen.”
Violet drew herself up, “Clementine, as one of your vices, I’m taking control of the group until Ms. Martin has cleared you.”
Clementine’s jaw dropped, getting a cheeky grin from Violet, “All you need to do is sleep.”
Clementine’s jaw closed with a snap, before stalking back to Ms. Martin. Violet sighed, before turning around. Marlon, Louis and Brody stood a couple feet away from her.
“What?”
“You just sent our leader,” Said Louis, dumbstruck, “who flayed a guy after what happened to Ruby, to bed.”
“And you’ve shared a bed with her.” Retorted Violet, heading to the Admin building, “Clem’s radio’s in the office, right?”
“I don’t know,” Shrugged Louis, grinning, “I was a bit preoccupied.”
Violet gave Louis a flat look, “You’re the reason she’d been confined to bed rest.”
Louis froze, paling, “Shit.”

I checked out winning time, and now I have a beef with that show, genuinely kinda want to do a video essay about it, it annoyed me so much
From a stylistic sense or historical/accuracy sense or what?
There are some things that bothered me about the show, but also a couple things that I kind of liked. Their portrayal of Larry was kind of weird--not just in the writing, I kind of understand them making him an Even Bigger Asshole than in real life because, at least in the first season, they wanted to really give you a villain, but just the look of him was really strange. But that entire show was bad wigs and 6'4" ppl trying to look 6'10".
But I did like how they showed that Larry was in Magic's head through the "hallucinations" Magic was having of Larry talking to him through newspaper clippings or TV. I liked them finally trying to show Larry's soft side with his backstory and his mom. Some of the cinematography was fun or at least imaginative and Adrien Brody and John C Reilly were great in their parts.
A lot of the rest of it was kind of strange and manic and messed around with stuff, trying to shorthand things, which is why Magic, Kareem, and Jerry West didn't like it. Also they just talked about a lot of stuff I kind of didn't care about, but that's completely on me.
I'm kind of on the fence on what I think about it. I appreciate they were trying something and I do want more media dramatizing Larry and Magic, but chunks of the show just wasn't for me. I think it could've gone better as it went along, but I guess we'll never know.

I'm still in the middle of my replay, but I wanted to make one as well!
Tumblr media
A (I don't like them): as stated, I don't like them, but the writing was so good they deserve their own little spot.
The cannibals are iconic, when I think about season one they come to my mind even before the stranger. Starving For Help is also one of my absolute favourite episodes of the four games.
Marlon is another great character. Done Running is spectacular thanks to him too, but this involves his death as well. He leaves pretty quickly, but he makes a real impact on the story, the VA did such an amazing job (like many others in the whole four games), and the sudden death by AJ's hand made my jaw drop. He makes you want more of him, but I don't think he had more to give. His whole arc was perfect to me. I don't like him tho lmao
C: I don't dislike these characters, but I don't really have strong feelings for them whatsoever.
Nick was wasted, just like the other characters of season 2, but if you save his life he completely disappears and I usually forget about him until his one line and then off screen death.
Ava would be ranked higher if I didn't connect her so much to David and the moment they take AJ away from Clem. I like her, she's cool, she's just in a weird spot for me in the game.
Since (for now) I never went for Violet, I don't really know Brody. She seems fine, but if you don't go fishing that's it.
Considering who are the type of characters I usually like, I'm surprised Minerva doesn't do it for me. Maybe, if we got more of her, I would have appreciated her more, but everything about her is just told to us by others, and with her we just fight.
Larry would be ranked lower, but he got charm coming out of his ass, so...
D: the ones I dislike.
David is well written, a great character, but I do find him obnoxious lmao but I'm glad he's in the game, because the whole dynamic with Javi is really good and he makes Javi's character more interesting. The problem with him is that certain scenes are a bit boring, especially the one where they are playing baseball.
Tripp is here because he seems to want to force Eleanor to reciprocate his feelings?? Dude, read the room. Of course she betrayed them, I would too if there was an asshole who insisted like that. Jeez
E: hhh
Sarita's whole personality is "I can fix him". That's it. She literally says so if you don't watch Kenny smash Carver's head.
Carlos at the beginning has such an ominous auras around him, and for no reason. He sucks as a father, and he sucks as a doctor.
Joan is boring. I can't take her seriously. She seems written by Disney lmao she pull all that shit in front of the town thinking it's a good idea for her image?

Jaws (1975, Steven Spielberg)
12/03/2024
Jaws is a 1975 film directed by Steven Spielberg, based on the 1974 novel of the same name by Peter Benchley. It tells the story of a great white shark that kills swimmers on Amity Island, prompting the local police chief to try to kill it with the help of a marine biologist and a shark hunter. The film stars Roy Scheider as police chief Martin Brody, Richard Dreyfuss as oceanographer Matt Hooper, Robert Shaw as shart hunter Quint, Murray Hamilton as the mayor of Amity Island and Lorraine Gary as Brody's wife Ellen. The screenplay is credited to both Benchley, who wrote the first drafts, and actor-writer Carl Gottlieb, who rewrote the screenplay during production.
Filmed mostly on location on Martha's Vineyard, Jaws was the first major motion picture shot offshore and, as a result, had a troubled production, exceeding its budget and schedule. Because the mechanical sharks created by the art department malfunctioned, Spielberg decided, in many scenes, to merely suggest the shark's presence, employing a menacing theme created by composer John Williams to indicate its approach.
Jaws was the prototype of the summer blockbuster and is considered a watershed in the history of cinema. Its release was considered a turning point in the history of cinema and the advent of the New Hollywood.
The film was released in US theaters on June 20, 1975. Generally well received by critics, Jaws became the highest-grossing film in history, and remained so until the release of Star Wars (1977). It won three Oscars for editing, sound and soundtrack for John Williams, as well as consecrating the fame of Steven Spielberg, then a little-known director aged just 28, and is often cited as one of the best films of all time. It was followed by three sequels, none of which featured Spielberg or Benchley, and many knockoff thrillers.
In 1998 the American Film Institute placed it in forty-eight place in the list of the 100 best American films of all time, while in 2007 it dropped to fifty-sixth place. In 2001, Jaws was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Film Registry, being considered "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
In the seaside town of Amity Island (New England), a young woman leaves a late-night beach party to go for a swim, but while out at sea she is viciously attacked and dragged underwater by something. After the medical examiner concludes that it may be a shark attack, newly hired police chief Martin Brody wants to close the beaches, but Mayor Larry Vaughn convinces him to reconsider, fearing that the town's summer economy will suffer.

what do you headcanon different characters heights as?
Some characters actually have official heights, but I headcanon a few of them.
It's canon that Larry is 6'4, and I believe that Tripp, Lingard, Ben Paul, Jesus, Alvin and Nick are probably in his vicinity, making them the tallest characters in the game. Lee SHOULD be 6'2, according to the drugstore's barometer. It's also confirmed that Ruby is 4'9, probably making her the shortest out of anyone who isn't a child.
Season 1: Larry and Ben are 6'4 Lee Everett, Chuck and Kenny are 6'2, 6'1 at worst, Stranger and Doug are 6'0 Christa is 5'11, Lilly and Mark are 5'10 Carley is 5'6 and Omid is 5'5 Duck is like 4'8 and Clem is like 4'3 Season 2: Alvin is 6'3 Mike and Nick are 6'2 Carver is 6'1 Uncle Pete, Carlos and Luke are 5'11 Jane, Rebecca and Bonnie are 5'7 Arvo and Sarita are 5'6 Sarah is 5'4 and Clementine is 4'8 Season 3: Lingard and Tripp are like 6'5, Jesus is 6'4 David and Conrad are 6'1 Javi is 6'0 Kate and Eleanor are 5'8 Gabe is 5'4 Ava and Joan are 5'1 Clementine is 4'10 Mariana is 4'8 (shes supposed to be 10...) Season 4 (they're all midgets understandably): Flashback Lee would actually be the tallest character lmao, I think Clem imagines him taller than he actually was. Anyways Abel is 6'1 Lilly is still 5'10 Marlon, James and Minerva are all 5'7ish Mitch is 5'5 Louis and Aasim are 5'4 Brody is 5'2 Clementine and Violet are 5'0 (Vi has bad posture so it fluctuates) Willy and Tenn are 4'9 Ruby is 4'8 AJ is about 3'8 probably

How do I generate ideas for a first draft? I usually get stuck after making a Pinterest board, writing a very rough outline and then leaving the project behind. I have never written a first draft for any of those ideas which makes me feel sad. Help me out?
Ideas Never Lead to First Draft
This usually happens when you have a lot of disparate ideas for a story that aren't coherent or leading to a specific point.
Stories are more than just accounts of random people kicking around in their world doing random things. Stories have a point... a message that you want to get across to the reader. They have a conflict... an internal and/or external problem that must be resolved by the protagonist/main characters. The protagonist must have a goal that they're trying to pursue as a resolution to this problem. There has to be an antagonistic force creating obstacles that make the pursuit more difficult. Without those things, you just have a bunch of pretty pictures on a pinterest board, and maybe a loose outline of random things these characters can be randomly doing, but no actual story to write.
You can start by spending some time on my Plot & Story Structure master list of posts, and you might also want to spend some time on YouTube watching videos on topics like story conflict, motivation and goals, story structure, how to find your story's message and themes, etc.
Story plotting books and workbooks can also be incredibly helpful if you can spend a little money. Save the Cat! Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody is a really good one. K.M. Weiland has a story outlining workbook that's really good. You can also look up different outlining methods like Larry Brooks' story structure or the Snowflake method. Etsy also has a bunch of downloadable/printable/digital story planners for reasonable prices. These are all great for helping you learn how stories should work and helping to give some substance to a whirlwind of disparate ideas. :)
Happy writing!

CLOSED! Preliminary Hot Vintage TV Men List
Alright folks! We have one week left on submissions for the Hot Vintage TV Men's Bracket! As promised here is a list of all the Hot Vintage TV Men who have been submitted and passed our preliminary eligibility checks. There are a handful of guys on this list and one or two not on it that we are currently still debating on so reminder that this list is not final and subject to change.
Currently we have 231 Hot Vintage TV Men!
Also in advance of the competition I'd like to remind anyone submitting propaganda for someone that starred in a show that aired only partially during our timeframe or was under 18 for a part of a shows filming, to please make sure you are only submitting propaganda that is from within our timeframe and when the actor was 18 years or older. This is also just good to keep in mind in general as several people submitted actors for shows that aren't eligible for our tournament either because it was outside our time period or in one case the actor was underaged for the entirety of the show (though many were eligible for other shows they were submitted for). We do our best to screen for these things but sometimes it's hard to tell or it’s a show we don't personally know well enough so we appreciate help from y'all letting us know if you do catch anything.
