i struggle getting things done on some days. it’s very hard. but i think of how lapsing into habits or behaviors that you thought you’d overgrown is often seen as regressing— but i’ve come to see it as a natural cyclic part of life. like spring and winter, death and rebirth.

10•01•23// attempted to get a bunch of my reading done but I ended up cleaning up the Christmas decor, cleaning the kitchen, repotting plants and doing laundry ✨ I did get some reading done but I do tend to default to literally anything else when I should be studying 😅☕️

in life updates: decided to enroll in a notoriously difficult class this semester. civil law is my achilles heel, and i also wanted to force myself into better study habits and time management. last week, i took the midterm and braced myself for a fail: despite improvements in the way i prepared for class and spoke during cold calls, i'd still been struggling over the semester. after the exam ended, i went and checked the schedule for dropping classes. one week later. dear reader, i passed.

today i didn't manage to study quite as much as i wanted to, but i still got a really good chunk of reading done from my textbook! i also went back to working out, which felt so great. tomorrow i'll definitely work even more!

cozy times at my favorite café !! did some trusts & estates readings for next week and drank an oat mocha, my go-to drink. i managed to get away with not having any physical textbooks this semester, just PDFs provided by my professors and novels for my legal literature class >:D yes, my backpack is incredibly light this semester
