No because… they really skimped out on so much characterisation in bsd. Tonan did all that against Fukuzawa because his father–whom he clearly loved–was murdered. Higuchi joined the Mafia to provide for her little sister. Kunikida cried for two hours after the Agency was reunited because he was so overcome. Again, because he loves them all. Ango visits Oda’s grave, Gide calls Akutagawa a ‘little black duckling’, Francis shows Atsushi the amount of life-support Margaret is on just to stop her dying, Akutagawa smiled at Atsushi while he was dying. Atsushi calls Akutagawa a lawnmower, Yosano also smiles when she thinks she’ll die, Ango gets teased by his bodyguards, Dazai and Fyodor throw food at each other. All of these are such humanizing tributes that flesh out everyone and give more context for how they are

omg.. sskk is truly my number 1 i am so annoying about them. the way they carry the narrative. the way they’re silly. it’s about the good in the evil and the evil in the good. it’s also about atsushi calling akutagawa a lawnmower. they go for each other’s throats. they’d take a bullet for the other. they’re only together bc of dazai. they learn to grow outside of his influence. in another life (cough beast) they would’ve been best friends. i want to put them in my pocket

tachigin! im aware my ao3 does not reflect my love for them but i truly have them rotating in my head all the time. do i adore tachihara being on his knees for gin and gin telling him to get up because his perception of her is warped?? absolutely. your tachigin fics have also influenced me greatly and i love them btw i am Obsessed (head in my hands)

RANPOE 😭 i don’t think the fandom truly grasps how Batshit Crazy they are. poe canonically obsessed over ranpo for years bc he beat him one (1) time. poe tries to kill him and then gets worried that ranpo will die. ranpo sees poe as an equal which is an insanely high position. they’re ‘rivals’. ranpo shares his sweets with poe and invites him to ada parties. poe actively writes novels to try to impress ranpo. are u joking. they’re so obsessed

i’d say those are my top few!! honourable mentions go to skk (can’t escape them), suegiku (the SILLIES…), atsulucy (they’re so precious to me shut up), sigzai (altered my brain chemistry), tachizaki (grasped me by the throat with their potential) and fyolai (doomed from the start). also bsd needs more women cause where are the lesbians 😭
