Happy New Year, Sunshine

Currently loving the idea of Johnny Lawrence, sunny California boy, going to New York with his teeny teenage Jersey boyfie for New Year’s and being TOTALLY UNPREPARED for how INSANELY COLD it is. Of course Daniel makes sure he’s outfitted and kitted and not gonna die, but holy hell, it’s a shock. 

And Daniel’s like, “I warned ya. I warned ya, Johnny. Ya gotta stop shrieking, bud, you’ll lose body heat faster that way…”

And they get back to whatever apartment they’re crashing at, and Johnny clambers into Daniel’s lap like a Great Dane in a thunderstorm, whimpering and whining about how he can’t feel his toes, or his nose, and he’s got frostbite for sure, and he’ll never be a teen model, and Daniel piles on another blankie and nuzzles his poor frozen nose and gives him little kisses and doesn’t laugh too hard, because he’s a gentleman.

OKAY SO BACKGROUND: Johnny (Lawrence) and Daniel share a room on a school trip and there's only one bed 😼 but Johnny threatens to beat Daniel's ass if he lays with him so Daniel takes the floor (i would too)

the second night Daniel pushes the boundaries a little and lays on the VERY EDGE of the bed with Johnny and Johnny is like "MAN he sleeps like a chick 👿👿👿 cause he has those lashes.... and those lips..... and that hair......... and he smells like cherry blossoms bc of his soap................." and UH OH Johnny starts thinking "if he was a girl I would kiss him.............." AND "I wonder what flavor of chapstick he uses........." 😈😈😈

THIS GOES ON FOR MANY NIGHTS AND JOHNNY KEEPS TRYING TO SCOOT CLOSER TO DANIEL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND WHILE HE'S BASICALLY CUDDLING DANIEL HE FALLS ASLEEP..........

Daniel wakes up and hes like "oh maybe he needed a cuddle 😊😊" bc hes DANIEL and hes a CUTIE PATOOTIE and hed probably hold this over Johnny's head if Johnny didn't look so CUTE.

so Daniel suggests they cuddle more bc "you looked like you needed it 😊😊" and Johnny does NOT refuse

AND ONE NIGHT WHILE THEY'RE CUDDLING JOHNNY STARTS TO RAMBLE ON AND ON ABOUT HOW PRETTY HE THINKS DANIEL IS AND HOW GOOD HE SMELLS (Johnny is weird like that) AND HES LIKE CAUGHT OFF GUARD WHEN DANIEL TRACES HIS JAWLINE WITH HIS FINGER AND KISSES HIM ON THE NECK AND DANIEL IS LIKE "you talk too much 😼😼😼" AND THEN KISSES JOHNNY

HERE'S THE LINE????

"Johnny just rambles on and on about how pretty he thinks Daniel is and how good he smells all the time and Daniel just holds him and looks at him with those pretty brown eyes Johnny loves so much and while Johnny is still rambling he chokes on his words for a second because now Daniel is tracing his jawline with a single finger and pressing kisses to his neck all sweetly and Johnny can't help but wanna feel Daniel's soft, full lips on his own lips instead of on his neck and Daniel giggles and tells Johnny he talks too much and presses their lips together and now Johnny knows Daniel uses some stupid novelty coca cola flavored chapstick but it tastes so good on Daniel's lips"

Lawrusso Dream (2)

Okay, so, out of nowhere I had a Lawrusso based dream, and I figured I'd share it here, because why not? It was kinda cool because it was set up like an episode of the show, mixed with fanfic, and of course, ~dream logic~ lol

So it started off with the POV of some random lady my brain made up, apparently named Olivia, who was arriving at a seedy looking hotel (everything was very brown and outdated). She got into the elevator where she ran into Johnny. They made kind of awkward small talk, but Olivia felt like he seemed like not a creep.

They got off on the same floor and he went to room 14, while she went to room 10. Except her room was in the process of being cleaned (looked like they were trying to hide a crime scene) and the lady inside said her room wasn’t ready and she couldn’t keep her bags in there yet.

Olivia went to her car, grabbed her bags, because she was worried about her abusive ex showing up and taking her things to try and force her to interact with him. She went to the room Johnny had gone into, and knocked on the door to ask for help. Johnny and Daniel answered the door and she was surprised.

(It changed here to Johnny and Daniel’s POV)

So as Olivia was explaining her predicament, she said something like "Oh, I'm so sorry for bothering you and your husband" to Johnny. Johnny and Daniel both glanced at each other. Daniel was waiting to see Johnny deny it, but he didn't, and they both silently kinda came to the agreement to go along with it because she might feel really uncomfortable going to two old straight dudes for help over an apparent couple. (Suddenly) Sam was sitting in the room watching as Johnny and Daniel went along with it, looking highly amused (she disappeared pretty much after this, lol dreams).

After Olivia left to go into town (leaving her bags in their room to get later), Johnny and Daniel decided they had to keep up the charade because they had no idea when she'd show up, or if she might need help. So they brought all their stuff into Johnny's room (Daniel may have been rooming elsewhere but had just been talking with Johnny when all this happened). They were like tossing things to each other to place around the room, and putting each other's stuff on the bedside tables, to make it look like they were Very Much A Couple and then high-fived lol.

They of course had to share a bed now, and went to sleep. Johnny woke up to Daniel sprawled across his chest, and he had a sudden thought of how things might have been if they'd been friends like this when they were younger (~daydream transition fade woo~). Young Johnny and Daniel (like 20s) are sitting on a couch watching a show or movie together and laughing and cuddling under a blanket. Daniel ends up with his head on Johnny's shoulder, snickering away at whatever they're watching, and Johnny can't stop from smiling.(~daydream transition fade back to present~)

Johnny and Daniel both woke up and got ready. Daniel had brought food that could be thrown together in the little kitchenette in the room, and made them both breakfast. Johnny took one bite and had a sort of flashback (if you're picturing it like the scene with the food critic in Ratatouille then you'd be correct) where he realizes that food is his love language. He also realizes he actually wants to be with Daniel for real.

The "episode" ended and I immediately got onto to Tumblr to see if people were talking about how wild this episode was and if anyone was freaking out of the Lawrusso stuff, but nobody was talking about it.

And then I woke up.

So that was the Lawrusso Dream, lol. It was very silly, but also really cute. Maybe it'd make a good fanfic (with obvious edits to make it actually make sense and not have people randomly appearing and disappearing lol). Anyway, if anyone read this, I hope it amused you. Or inspired you, idk.

How does one do this? Like a car salesman? Let’s see. We all know I love RBF&GT so I’m not going to hype that one this time. Besides cookie already did that for me and people already gave it awards so we’re going to kiss it’s forehead and tuck it into bed and hype up it’s siblings instead. Slaps the roof of a car, can I interest you in monster meet-cutes? 🤣 (apparently my theme)

Daniel and his mother move to earth after the destruction of their planet. Love is an important part of their culture and his mother hopes that Daniel can find some earthling to fall in love with, dumping him out of the space ship to essentially hitchhike. He befriends a beetle, dog,  earthling named Johnny and tries to understand what earth is like and untangle the mess of language that is English while occasionally something tries to talk to him through radio frequencies.

Daniel’s walking his bike home through a Newark January along the river when he spots a body on the shore. He runs down to go help whoever it is only to think it’s a dead body and then to see that from the waist down is a tail. He realizes the blonde mermaid is alive and goes through the tedious process of taking him home. He and his mother end up nursing the broken hearted merman back to health, who really just wants to cuddle him for warmth and sleep in the cold until he’s too numb to feel. (If you like the idea of Johnny being partial monster but want something somewhat darker (more horror-esq) I also wrote Snake Whisky where Johnny after TKK turns into a snake and finds out about Terry and Kreese’s plans to hurt Daniel and then slithers off to try and warn him but kind of forgets how to be human)

Sid sends Johnny to Long Island for the summer to clean up an extended family members home after the owner passes, and while there the house seems to have a mind of it’s own and seems to be haunted by a rather curious and friendly seeming ghost who may not actually be fully a ghost. It’s actually really sweet.

romance fantasy (magic) Lawrusso (the karate kid era)

Based off a couple drabbles I did. After the first tournament Daniel can’t sleep and ends up at a shop during a storm where a man gives him a book of magic spells. He uses one to try and ensure Johnny leaves him alone by making a potion and spiking his drink with it. Instead he realizes he might’ve given Johnny a love potion because the guy is opening doors for him and being much nicer than before.

Johnny on the other hand, is a witch whose been ignoring his calling and after the tournament he goes home to the mansion that oozes evil because Sid is a literal demon and decides to use magic to determine what he should do with the rest of his life only to find out he’s a love witch.

I do have more paranormal meet-cutes Umibudo (Chozen/Johnny where Chozen is a merman who runs into Johnny and takes him home because mermaids fall in love easily) and Devil's Food (Cake) where Daniel is a crossroads demon that Johnny visits throughout his life. I also have alternative routes to RBF&GT. But outside of all that there’s two others and I can’t decide which one to go for because they’re both gifts that I adore. So apologies I might do both.

Wisteria Sherbert

Johnny gets a new job as a handyman and much to his disappointment nanny for a rich house in the hills, only to learn that it’s Daniel’s home. After some hiccups he settles in, getting along with the kids and Daniel, but he’s hiding the fact he’s an omega. He’s taken a ton of medicine to ensure no one finds out because he’s deep deep in debt to Terry Silver and the only thing keeping him from being mistreated is the fact he doesn’t give off a scent or hasn’t “presented”. But who knows how long that will last.

A Feast for Fools      

romantic drama (comedy?) with Johnny and Terry Silver (Cobra Kai era)

Terry Silver finds out about Johnny’s dojo almost immediately after it opens and his staff recommend he go under cover to figure out why and who brought Cobra Kai back from the dead. Terry poses as a yoga instructor and teaches classes at the dojo and gets to know Johnny and his students. The two end up being good influences on one another and helping each of them heal from the damage left by John Kreese.

Oops.

He just walked into some of Daniel's bonsai trees, and now they're on the floor in a heap of broken pots and dirt. Maybe he and Miguel shouldn't have been playing frisbee inside the house, but whatever, it was an accident, shit happens.

He really hates it when Daniel gets mad at him though. Actual anger, not his familiar exasperation lined with affection. So when Daniel gets home and asks what the hell happened, Johnny says he doesn't know and silently hopes that Anthony will end up getting the blame.

The first time Johnny was there to witness Daniel getting angry at his kids (which didn't happen a lot) his stomach had went queasy and he'd tensed up, staring blindly at the table. It took a few more times of seeing that Daniel never turned malicious, never had 'destroy my kids with cruel words' in mind, for Johnny not to react like that anymore.

Doesn't mean he likes it when that anger is turned to him though. Luckily, Daniel seems to let the whole thing go pretty quickly, sighing deeply and getting to work instead of searching for the culprit. Johnny helps him clean up the mess and repot the bonsais, since he does feel a little bit guilty. But mainly he's just relieved to be getting away with it.

That night in bed, Daniel goes down on him. And it's so good. He's doing something with his tongue that makes Johnny's brain short-circuit. The pleasure is building steadily and his toes curl in anticipation of the amazing orgasm he's about to have. Right when he starts to groan, his pleasure cresting, Daniel pulls away completely.

"No, no," Johnny gasps out. He desperately reaches for himself but Daniel bats his hand away with a fast sweep of his own.

He's still coming, but the sensation quickly dwindles instead of culminating into the powerful release that he'd been working towards. Then it's over, and he's left with a deep frustration that nearly brings tears to his eyes.

"What the fuck."

Daniel's giving him a look that tells Johnny he's in deep trouble.

"That's for destroying my bonsais and lying about it."

So much for getting away with it.

But still, what the fuck.

"You can't just do that man!"

"Aw, do you feel betrayed Johnny? Like I let you down, maybe?"

Johnny realizes he's not going to win this round.

"I'm sorry, okay! I... I should've just manned up and told you the truth."

"Yes you should've," Daniel says. But his voice already sounds milder, warmer.

When he pulls Johnny close to him Johnny goes willingly, relieved that Daniel is done being mad. During their cuddling, Johnny quietly resolves that next time he'll try a lot harder to avoid the consequences of his actions.

hey guys! i wrote a little thing, i didn’t even expect it to be this long. but ugh i had an...unideal day at work today (and i have to go back in tomorrow! joy!) and i really just wanted to write some lawrusso fluff. i was at a sexy chapter in ctp but not really feeling the sexy vibes, so i just wrote this out-of-place one shot. it can be read as a “months later” epilogue to ctp or just a standalone lawrusso fic.

no warnings (besides johnny making a sexy comment and daniel says “not now”, which is immediately understood bc consent is key) just cuddles. also background bobby/ali/jess ft. jess & johnny’s shared love of horror movies

Daniel doesn't think he's ever felt so safe before.

When he was a kid, and the bullying was rough, he'd come home crying to his mother. She'd always wrap him up tight in a blanket, or in her arms, pushing his hair back and kissing his head. Over the years, though, her comforting cuddling became coddling, and Daniel felt that he had to push away from her. He loved her, but he had to defend himself. Had to laugh through being made fun of, had to hit the toughest guy in the room.

And now, well. He's calm. He's calm, and he's not weighed down in a sorrow too heavy to name. He's light as air, really. His only problem is that his legs are a little sweaty against Johnny's under the quilt, and my, what a problem to have.

They’re at Jess’s tonight--her aunt’s, rather--and they’re having a boy-girl sleepover since her aunt was on a business trip. Not that she had to worry about much action between the boys and girls, anyway.

Daniel and Johnny had to manage space on the recliner, while Ali, Bobby, and Jess had a cuddle pile on the tiny loveseat. They had a movie on--some horror flick of Jess’s with lots of graphic effects that Daniel wasn’t fond of, but it was one of the few things she and Johnny could adamantly agree on. Ali and Jessica were holding hands over Bobby’s lap--a move which Johnny had jokingly called “the lesbian seatbelt”--and Bobby looked as though he was starting to have some regrets now that he was unable to get up.

Daniel doesn’t think he has a single regret now.

Well, he regrets how things started. And that bit in the middle. The ups and downs, the weird days, the upsetting days. The days when the darkness coiled up and threatened to spill over. But now. Now.

“Larusso,” Johnny muttered against his ear. His arms are wrapped around his waist--the grip feels strong, and Daniel knows firsthand that it can be--but it’s relaxed for now. “You’re laying--you’re laying on my arm, babe. It’s asleep.”

“Oh,” Daniel shifts, freeing Johnny’s arm, which he wraps around Daniel’s shoulders. Daniel blushes a little at their proximity--even after three months of officially dating, Johnny always keeps him on his toes. “Sorry,” he breathes, glancing down at Johnny’s lips, then back up into his eyes.

Johnny makes a little humming noise in the back of his throat, free hand coming around as the pad of his thumb traces Daniel’s bottom lip. He looks like he’s going to whisper something pretty sweet or romantic, but instead, he grins and remarks: “How far do you think we can fool around under the blankets before the others tell us to knock it off?”

Daniel pouted, avoiding Johnny’s eyes, twiddling his thumbs. “I don’t wanna do anything...right now...”

“Oh, hey,” Johnny’s voice went soft, a kind of gentle he only reserved for Daniel (Bobby called it his Daniel Voice, and Johnny called it his Totally Normal Voice, Shut Up Bobby I’ll Kick Your Ass). “I didn’t mean it, Daniel. We could just stay here like this...here, could I play with your hair? I know you like when I do...”

“Okay,” Daniel smiled crookedly, and he got in between Johnny’s legs, his back against Johnny’s chest. Johnny kissed Daniel’s cheek, his fingers combing through Daniel’s hair. On screen, one of the girls--who just had sex, so by horror movie rules, must die--was running away from the killer, screaming bloody murder (literally).

“Quite the relaxing movie to cuddle to, huh, sweetheart?” Johnny grinned into the crook of Daniel’s neck, and he nodded with a soft laugh.

Daniel thought then that he really felt no safer in the world than with his friends, and with Johnny. He thought then of how easy it would be to tell Johnny he loves him. And it wouldn’t be grand at all, because it would be true. But he supposed he’d wait for another, brighter day. A perfect day, with just the two of them. For now, he was happy just being here with Johnny, his comforting hands and warm weight against him, his hair tickling Daniel’s neck. And his friends, Bobby putting on a brave face (though really it was Jessica “protecting” him from the movie), Ali hogging all the popcorn and cheering for the killer.

There really is no place Daniel could imagine feeling happier.

(”Guys?” Bobby asks, hand gently resting on where Ali and Jess’s hands were locked over his stomach. “Can I get up? I want some ice cream.”)
