Saree: A Beautiful Piece of Clothing

6 yards of fabric. The saree is more complex than just that. This attire is by far the most elegant and is worn by millions of Indian ladies. It is an ornament rather than just a clothing, giving the wearer grace and glamour. More importantly, the saree is a physical representation of the resilience, continuity, and ageless nature of the Indian way of life. It represents the continuation of an ancient tradition that has resisted the assault of many other civilizations.

The saree says volumes about so many things by itself. Every rustle of this distinctive garment has a tale to tell, tales of joy and tales of tragedy. The saree has witnessed it all. Every aspect of human experience, including the joy and happiness of marriage as well as the sorrow of separation, the pleasures and satisfaction of motherhood, the happy times when life was kind, and the trying times when adversity was met with typical Indian stoicism, has been shared by the object of wearer's affection.

The saree can be used to express the occasion, the atmosphere, and the event. The colour expresses the situation. The way it is draped communicates the neighbourhood. The birth of a child or the marriage of a loved one are examples of pleasant occasions that are celebrated in brocades. Festivals like Diwali or Durga Puja are an opportunity to display beautiful rainbow-hued silk skeins braided amid colourful gold fantasies. White in all its solemnity symbolises death and the loss of a loved one. When people come to offer condolences, it is a sign of their sympathy for the bereaved and a sign of sadness for those who are close to the deceased. In almost all societies, it is always a vivid red for the bride.

The Laxmipati saree is so closely entwined with the culture and customs of the people that each region of the nation has created a unique weave. Each is a special manifestation of the weaving and dyeing techniques that have been passed down through the years. Both the magnificent Kota Doria weaving and the bandhej colouring technique are western inventions. 

South India is known for its vibrantly coloured silk weaving, with some pieces weighing up to 10 kg.A great example of the tenacity of Indian artisans is shown in the silk sarees embroidered with the kantha stitch, a specialty of the eastern Bengal region. For only one saree, he can work for up to six months. and the brocades made by Benarasi Georgette are further examples of how the traditional crafts are still being practised today.

Nevertheless, the saree is draped differently in each region. The lifestyle and religious inclination have an impact on this.

India is a nation with a diversified population that coexists across all castes and creeds. Although people dress similarly, the locations are huge and the clothing vary accordingly. *Makers of Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan launch two tracks from the movie sung by Shaan and Sukhwinder Singh in presence of the singers joined by Anupam Kher*

Rajiv Chilaka's Chhota Bheem and the curse of Damyaan is just three days away from its theatrical release. The movie is all set to storm theatres on 31st May 2024. The makers launched two soulful tracks from the movie titled Jamboora and Zara Muskura sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Shaan respectively.

The makers of the movie launched the songs at a grand event in Mumbai today. The event was attended by the entire star cast joined by Sukhwinder Singh and Shaan themselves along with Anupam Kher who plays a pivotal role in the summer entertainer. The audiences witnessed a live performance of the songs by the talented singers Shaan and Sukhwinder Singh. Followed by a magic show that keeps everyone on the edge of their seat.

Jamboora is a track that captures the magical element of the movie. Sung by Sukhwinder Singh and composed by Raghav Sachar the song features Anupam Kher along with Chhota Bheem and his Sena.

The movie stars Anupam Kher and Makrand Deshpande along with Yagya Bhasin who plays the titular roles. The movie also features Kabir Shaikh (Kalia), Advik Jaiswal( Raju), Daivik Dawar (Dholu), Divyam Dawar (Bholu), Aashriya Misra(Chutki) and Swarna Pandey (Indumati).
