~ Creatividad.
~ Motivación.
~ Mayor acceso a información.
~ Cooperación.
~ Interactividad.
~ Enseñanza a distancia.
~ Herramientas adaptables.
¿Qué desventajas podemos encontrar?
~ Fuentes desconfiables.
~ Datos inexactos.
~ Uso descontrolado del internet.
~ Brecha digital.
~ No todos tienen acceso.
~ Contextos (culturales, socioeconómicos).
~ Adicción a la red.
POSIBLIDADES Y CONTRIBUCIONES:

#DailyDevotion Call On The Name Of The LORD Jesus Christ & Be Saved.

#DailyDevotion Call On The Name Of The LORD Jesus Christ & Be Saved. Joel 2 30I will put wonderful signs in the sky and on earth: blood, fire, and columns of smoke. 31The sun will turn dark and the moon bloody before the coming of the LORD's great and terrible day. 32But then everyone who calls on the LORD's name will be saved; there will be on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem those who escape as the LORD promised, and among those who escape will be the remnant whom the LORD calls. There are a number of “Day of the LORD” in the Old Testament. They are always days of judgment. Now days of judgment are bad news for those who oppose the LORD and they are a day of salvation for those who trust in the LORD. These days are always marked by darkness. Jesus told us to look for these signs as a warning that His second coming was near. Now remember, Peter in Acts 2 told us Pentecost is a fulfilment of Joel's prophecy. Remember there was darkness for about 3 hours on the day Jesus Christ was crucified. This was not an eclipse. There was a full moon that night because of the Passover. The moon would be on the other side of the earth. This was a supernatural darkness because judgment was taking place upon our LORD Jesus Christ. The judgment of guilt, the penalty of death, was to be exacted upon Jesus. He was bearing the sin of the world and being judged for it. God's wrath was being poured out upon Jesus for our sake. Now it is possible the moon looked like blood on the other side of the earth, but the New Testament witnesses would not have seen that. There is coming another day of judgment by the LORD our God. It will be preceded like the darkness that covered Egypt and the darkness that covered the earth when Christ was crucified. It is foretold in Rev. 6:12, 8:12, and 16:10-11. These are not separate instances but three descriptions of the same thing from different parts of view. On this day of judgment, everyone who trusted in the LORD Jesus Christ will be saved. Those who rejected Jesus' substitutionary punishment will receive exactly what they should based on what they did in the flesh up to that point. It will indeed be the great and terrible day of the LORD Jesus Christ for those who opposed His kingdom and rejected His gifts. We have this promise, “everyone who calls on the LORD's name will be saved.” Peter proclaims this in his Pentecost sermon. He then goes on to show that Jesus of Nazareth is that LORD, whom they crucified and killed. He is risen from the dead and seated at the right hand of God the Father. He is coming back in glory to judge the living and the dead. As those called by the LORD we will escape the judgment of Christ Jesus. He preserves those on Mount Zion, Jerusalem, which is His Bride, the Church. This is not to say we will not experience much of the tribulations of those end times. Indeed, as noted before, since Pentecost, we have been experiencing many of the signs of the end. But as those who have had the name of the LORD our God, placed on us in baptism, we shall not experience the spiritual tortues, plagues and judgments those who are not called will experience. We note this well in the plagues of Egypt where some affected everyone and some only affected the Egyptians who did not believe while the believing Israelites were preserved from them. We see it in Revelation where a number of times, those who bear the name of our LORD Jesus Christ do not experience a number of the plagues inflicted upon the world to bring them to repentance. We should not fear these spiritual plagues as we live repentant lives, calling upon the name of our LORD Jesus Christ. Almighty God and Father, grant us continual repentance so we may escape the spiritual plagues and be preserved by Your grace on judgment day. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article

This is about how the evangelical/fundamentalist right is attempting to smear Tim Walz by smearing his church's denomination, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), as a fringe, ultra-left excrescence rather than the mainline Lutheran denomination that it is.
It's inane and bizarre to try to make this fly in the face of the millions of grassroots USians who are familiar with ELCA, some of whom have been reminding righties on social media that non-evangelical ELCA is bigger than the two most well known evangelical Lutheran denominations* put together.
The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).

I really loved these 4 videos of Pastor Wolfmueller breaking down these Psalms. It's really interesting to see a poetic analysis of the Psalms, which is something I haven't seen much in my own life.
His channel is a great resource to learn about Lutherans and their theology

#DailyDevotion Jesus Is The Foundation Of The Church & Blessed Are Her Gates

#DailyDevotion Jesus Is The Foundation Of The Church & Blessed Are Her Gates Psalm 87 His foundation is on holy mountains. 2The LORD loves Zion's gates more than all of Jacob's dwellings. 3Wonderful things are told about you, O city of God! The psalmist is praising the city of Jerusalem. Upon these holy mountains the LORD had met with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. There, where Abraham was willing to sacrifice the child of promise the LORD has built His temple. There on those mountains the Father sacrifices His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ for the sin of the world providing salvation for every human being and redeeming all creation. But the city in which the LORD performed all these things is only a shadow, a model of the Jerusalem which is above, God's holy Church. Her foundations are not just rocks but the Rock, our LORD Jesus Christ. The gates of this city are loved more than all the places where Jacob dwells because this is where He gathers His people. It is the city He has built and won by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Wonderful things are told of this city, the New Jerusalem as we see in the last chapters of Revelation. No light of the sun or moon is needed because God is her light. The gates are always open because there are no threats to her. A stream runs through it which waters the tree of life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations and it bears fruit every month. There we meet our God. 4“I will count Egypt and Babylon among those who acknowledge Me. There is Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia — each one claims that he was born there.” Egypt or Rahab and Babylon and all the nations acknowledge the LORD. The He that is born there is not the nations, but the Promised One, our LORD Jesus Christ. There on the hills outside of Jerusalem is Bethlehem where Christ was born. There in Jerusalem where Christ was crucified was Jesus made the first-born of the dead. Isaiah would prophesy that the nations would stream to her, i.e. the Church and indeed they have. The Church is the city they all acknowledge as the dwelling place of the LORD. 5But it will be said of Zion, “Every nation is born in her, and the Most High Himself will make her secure.” 6The LORD will write down in His record of the nations: "This one was born there.” 7There will be singing and dancing, for all will find their home in you. Several translations translate verse five this way, The DRB and a few others translate it more literally, “Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her.” The literal translation is better I think. Some think the psalmist is thinking of various men of valor born there. But if we are looking at the Church as Zion, are we all not born in her through the waters of baptism. So we are written down in the Lamb's book of life, or at least we know we have been written in the Lamb's book of life when we are baptized into Christ. In all the nations of the world, the LORD is making children for Himself and a nation for Himself in Zion, the city of our God, the Church. Here in the Church there will be singing and dancing on the Day of the LORD as we are all born out of our graves and ushered into the New Jerusalem, the City of our God. As it is written, like calves springing from the stall shall we be coming out of our graves with rejoicing. Heavenly Father, continual to give new birth in Your Holy City, Jerusalem, Your Church, through the waters of baptism that we might praise You even as we Your people are being praised by You. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article

#DailyDevotion Jesus Is King Who Rules From Everlasting

#DailyDevotion Jesus Is King Who Rules From Everlasting Psalm 93 The LORD is King! He is clothed with majesty. The Lord dresses in power, fastening His belt. The world also was made to stand firm and can't be moved. It is written in Deut. 32, “5And He was King in Jeshurun when their leaders were gathered and the tribes of Israel were united.” Jeshurun is a symbolic name for Israel which is upright which it never fulfilled. Moses recalls the covenant between the LORD and Israel at Mt. Sinai where the LORD became Israel's King. Now, the LORD is King. That is Jesus is the LORD who is King. That is what the Holy Spirit inspired Pontus Pilate to put above Jesus' head when He was crucified. Of course, Jesus didn't remain dead. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven at the right hand of God. In Hebrews 1:8 it is written of Jesus, “But to the Son He says: Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and You rule Your kingdom with a scepter of righteousness.” In Acts 2 Peter says, “34David didn't go up to heaven, but he says: 'The Lord says to my Lord, “Sit at My right 35until I make Your enemies Your footstool.” 36“Then all the people of Israel should know it's true that God made Him Lord and Christ — this Jesus Whom you crucified.” So the Psalm here says, the LORD is King and He is clothed with majesty. Jesus is this LORD. He dresses in power fastening His belt. All power, honor, glory and might belong to our ascended LORD. It is Jesus who preserves the world by His power and might. 2Long ago Your throne was made to stand firm — You are from everlasting. Jesus' throne was made to stand firm before creation. His throne is from everlasting. He humbled Himself to come down from His throne to become man to save humanity from their sins and from death. Now He has brought His humanity with Him to the right hand of the Father and is seated again upon His throne forever. In baptism, our humanity is joined with His and we too, even now, are seated with Him in the heavenly places. (Eph. 2) From this throne Jesus rules with an iron rod and will judge the nations who oppose His reign. 3O LORD, the rivers make a noise; the rivers make their roaring noise; the rivers make a crashing noise 4but more than the noise of vast waters and mightier than the waves of the sea is the might of the LORD above! You should really watch a video on Youtube of a large shipping ship in a storm at sea. These ships are huge but on the ocean they are no more that a toy ship in your bathtub as they are thrown about. Yet this very same LORD walked upon the stormy sea. He commanded the wind and the waves to be still. As mighty as the seas are they are a mere toy to the majesty and power of our LORD Jesus Christ. The stormy seas are often used as a symbol for the politics of the world. Jesus' power and might guide the nations to their conclusion of providing for His Church, the gathering of His people from every language, nation, tribe and people and judging the nations who try to rebel against Him. They do not win. The might of Jesus is above all. 5The truths You wrote are absolutely trustworthy. In Your temple, O LORD, holiness is beautiful forever. The Word of the LORD which He gave to His prophets and apostles are absolutely trustworthy. All of His promises come to pass. We are the temple of the LORD in whom His holiness is beautiful forever. So He is constantly purifying us in this life to make us holy. Heavenly Father, Your power, honor, glory and might is demonstrated and seen in Your Son, Jesus Christ. May we put our trust in Him forever. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article

#DailyDevotion Who Is Your Shelter, Rock, Mountain Refuge, Fortress, Hope & Confidence?

#DailyDevotion Who Is Your Shelter, Rock, Mountain Refuge, Fortress, Hope & Confidence? Psalm 71 O LORD, in You I take shelter; don't ever let me be disgraced. 2By Your righteousness rescue me and help me escape. Listen to me and save me. 3Be my Mountain Refuge where I can always go. You gave the order to save me because You are my Rock and my Fortress. 4My God, rescue me from the hands of the wicked, from the hands of those who are unjust and cruel. 5You are my Hope, O Lord GOD, You have been my Confidence from my youth. 6I have depended on You from birth; You took me from my mother's body. I praise You continually. In these verses there are a number of names or descriptions David uses that he tends to use many times in the Psalms: shelter (chasha) Mountain Refuge (tzoor maon) Rock (sela) Fortress (metzudah). Perhaps we may want to include them in our prayers particularly when we feel oppressed or attacked from the outside. They're all very strong words in our minds by which we can grasp the protection of the Almighty in trying times. He wants to flee to the LORD in which he can find shelter. We all need a place we can hide out for a while away from the world. The LORD is that shelter. When we take shelter in Him, we will not be disgraced by it. We note here it is not by David's righteousness he petitions the LORD for rescue to help him escape. It is the LORD's own righteousness he appeals to. Most likely this trouble David is experiencing is when he is older based on the words that follow. Perhaps when his son Absalom rebelled against him. So he looks to the LORD to hear his prayer and to save him, which we know the LORD did. Then the three terms David appeals to he invokes which all have something or rock or mountain themes in their meaning. They invoke images of steadfastness, strength, and protection. Indeed the LORD is all these things to and for us who put our trust in Him. God gives the order and He saves David because of who He is. Many times we may think we are on shifting ground, perhaps even sinking in quicksand about to drown. Look to the LORD during these times. Trust Him because of the sacrifice of His only-begotten Son. He will be the Rock under your feet. He will be for you a Mountain Fortress. In the midst of David's troubles, he becomes for us a type of Christ. Did not Jesus Himself need rescue from the hands of wicked, unjust and cruel people? Jesus trusted in the LORD to be His Confidence (tikvah) and Hope (mibtach). The two words are really intertwined with each other. In the garden, Jesus, knowing what was coming made His Father His Hope and Confidence. On the cross, Jesus commits His spirit to God the Father. We see in this Psalm Jesus trusted in God His Father from birth, from His youth. We should join our LORD Jesus Christ and David in this thinking of our heart, mind and spirit. Even when we are not confident and have no trust in ourselves, we especially should make our heavenly Father our Confidence and Hope. Every day we should cast ourselves upon Him and have Him be our Confidence and Hope when we have nothing of our own. Jesus and David praised the LORD continuously because of the Father's goodness. We should join them in their hymn of praise because He has been and is our Shelter, Mountain Refuge, Rock, Fortress, Hope and Confidence, especially when the chips are down. Have no other source for these things and know the joy of the LORD. O Rock, Fortress, Hope, Confidence, Shelter, Mountain Refuge, the LORD, so move us by Your Holy Spirit that You are all these for us, especially when we are at our weakest points for the sake of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our LORD. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article

#DailyDevotion Call Upon The LORD To Be Your Help & Deliverance

#DailyDevotion Call Upon The LORD To Be Your Help & Deliverance Psalm 70 Come quickly, O God, to rescue me, O LORD, to help me. Such is our cry when something is going wrong. Well, if it isn't, this is a good time to start. Why wait for this to get this to get worse? Jesus didn't wait. Jesus being a good Jew prayed this Psalm. It may have been one He prayed in the garden as He awaited to be betrayed by His disciple Judas. God helps those who earnestly call upon Him. How often does God, the LORD, invite us, command us to turn to Him for help but we believe the lie, “God helps those who help themselves,” and we don't pray? Put your trust and hope in God, Your Father, through His Son, Jesus Christ. 2May those who are trying to destroy me be disappointed and ashamed, and those who delight in harming me turn back in disgrace. 3May those who say, “Aha! Aha!” be appalled by their own shame. Indeed, such is the fate of those who without cause harm God's anointed One, Jesus Christ, who also did not repent of it. We can see how they were turned back in shame when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem. They indeed were appalled by their own shame on that day. Yet, in baptism, as we are joined to Christ Jesus, we too are God's anointed. I know it seems like they get away with it when they cause us trouble. It was 40 years between Jesus' crucifixion and the destruction of Jerusalem. The LORD often gives ample time for people to turn from their sin and to turn to Jesus before executing justice for His people. He, and we should, desire people to repent of their sins and turn to Jesus. We want them to join us in our union with Christ Jesus. But if they do not repent, this curse shall be their end. 4But may all who look to You for help find joy and delight in You. May those who love You for saving them always say, “God is great!" This blessing will come upon all who look to the LORD and cry to Him for help. Jesus prayed this prayer in the garden. He is sitting at the right hand of God. When Jesus becomes our help, joy and delight, we are seated with Him in the heavenly places. In Revelation, Jesus tells us if we endure He will place us on His Father's throne. How often has God saved us, not only from our sin but many of the trials and tribulations of our lives? Should we not love Him for that? At the very least, we should recognize the great redemption and salvation He has provided us in Christ from sin and eternal death. That alone is enough for us to love Him and shout, “God is great!” 5I am poor and needy, O God, come to me quickly. You are my Helper and my Deliverer; O LORD, don't delay! Jesus indeed was poor and needy. He did not have a home to call His own to lay His head. He depended on the LORD to provide for Him. He prayed to God to come to Him quickly. The LORD, the Father, was His Helper and Deliverer. The Father raised Jesus from the dead on the third day. It may seem like the Father delayed, but Scripture had to be fulfilled. It may seem at times God is delaying answering our prayers. He is not. In His great wisdom, He knows what needs to come to pass, what other things He must bring about before our prayers can be answered. Of course, sometimes what we pray for is not what is best for us and for others. We must trust He is wiser than us. The prayer is not no, but not what you think is but what God knows is best. We can trust Him to be our Helper and our Deliverer in the day and the time of trouble. We are His dear children through faith in Jesus Christ. If you doubt that any, look to the cross of Christ and know how much He loves you to put His Son through that for your salvation. Merciful God and Father, be for us our Help and Deliverance in the day of trouble. May we in love, delight and joy shout God is great in the great assembly. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. #DailyDevotion The LORD Uses The Nations Wickedness As He Pleases

#DailyDevotion The LORD Uses The Nations Wickedness As He Pleases Hab. 2 15Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pressing him to the wineskin and making him drunk in order to gaze at his nakedness. 16You will be filled with disgrace instead of glory. Drink yourself and stagger. The cup in the LORD's right hand will be turned to you, and disgrace will be on your glory. 17You were violent with Lebanon and frightened the animals with slaughter; violence overwhelms you because you murdered the people and ravished the country, the city, and all who live there. A fourth woe to Babylonians. Apparently, at least according to Keil & Delitzsch, this is an allegory on how the Babylonians conquer some nations. The drink here is the wine of wrath. Having conquered nations they expose them to take all their wealth. They were a pretty violent people, perhaps not quite as bad as the Assyrians they conquered. It is no wonder the LORD used them to punish and discipline His people. We should remember though, the violence and wickedness was all from their hearts. The LORD simply used what was in them already to accomplish His purposes. Because their hearts were so wicked, the LORD indeed would bring the evil they created back upon themselves. The cup of God's wrath would be turned upon them and now they would be disgraced and their glory turned to shame. What they did to other countries the LORD would now bring upon them. As we look upon the nations of the world and our own nation, how do we see this playing out in the world today? Many Christians in America think the LORD blesses us because we are so good. What if He blessed us as He did the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Persians and the like, not because we are faithful to Him but because we are useful to Him to punish the nations as these other nations were at one time? Is the LORD using our own wickedness to dominate the only to turn it back on us when we have served our purpose to the LORD? We should regularly examine our own lives to repent of our sins and we should also examine our country for any wickedness in it and use what influence we have to have our own country repent, lest the fate of these other countries in the Bible come down upon us. 18What good does it do to shape and carve an idol? It is a statue and a teacher of lies. What good does it do to trust what you shape and make idols that cannot speak? 19Woe to him who says to wood, 'Wake up,' and to a stone that cannot talk, ‘Rise.' Can this teach you? See, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there isn't any spirit in it at all! 20But the LORD is in His holy temple! The whole world should be silent before Him!” Nations and peoples should pay attention to this. The Babylonians depended upon their gods of wood, stone and precious metals. They did not realize it was the LORD who lifted them up. There is no spirit or life in these idols. What idols do we have? Wealth, power, armies, political parties, politicians? Sex, drugs, alcohol, porn, anger, gossip, or divisiveness? Do we actually stand in the place of the LORD ourselves thinking we can control the people, places and circumstances around us instead of trusting the LORD Jesus Christ's promise the Father loves us?The LORD Jesus Christ is in His holy temple. He reigns from heaven above. He also makes our bodies His holy temple. All the world should worship Him and be silent before Him. Do you? Heavenly Father, grant us true repentance and turn from all our false gods, our crutches and depend only on You for all good things. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article
