Learn Addition Using Number Beads Maths With Lucas And Ruby | Learn addition in a fun way I am 10 abacus addition ideas to how to teach addition for kindergarten in a fun way :- Idea 1: Introduce the abacus as a special math tool that can help them add numbers together. Show them how the beads represent different values and explain that they can slide the beads to perform addition. Idea 2: Start with simple addition problems using single-digit numbers. Demonstrate how to slide the appropriate number of beads on the abacus to find the sum. Let the students observe and try it themselves with guidance. Idea 3: Provide opportunities for hands-on practice by giving each student their own abacus. Assign addition problems for them to solve independently. Encourage them to use the abacus to find the answers and check their work. Idea 4: Learn addition in a fun way Incorporate visual aids by creating worksheets or flashcards with abacus representations. Display addition problems and ask the students to draw the beads on the abacus to solve the equations. This reinforces the connection between the physical tool and the visual representation. Idea 5: Organize small group activities where students can work together using the abacus. Provide a set of addition task cards or word problems and let the students take turns using the abacus to find the answers. This promotes collaboration and peer learning. Idea 6: Introduce the concept of regrouping or carrying over with the abacus. Demonstrate how to slide beads to the next row when adding larger numbers. Guide the students in practicing regrouping on the abacus for a better understanding. Idea 7: Create a game using the abacus to make addition practice fun. Set a timer and challenge students to solve as many addition problems as they can within a given time. Offer rewards or incentives to keep them motivated. Idea 8: Use real-life scenarios to contextualize addition with the abacus. Present situations like counting objects or sharing items among friends. Have the students use the abacus to find the total or how many each person receives. Idea 9: Encourage students to explore different strategies using the abacus. Let them experiment with adding numbers in different orders or grouping the beads differently to find alternative ways to arrive at the same sum. This fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Idea 10: Wrap up the addition lessons with a mini abacus project. Have the students create their own abacus using materials like pipe cleaners and beads. Let them demonstrate their understanding of addition by solving problems using their handmade abacus.

love when men cry about body hair bc "it's hygiene" and yet 15% of cis men leave the bathroom without washing their hands at all and an additional 35% only just wet their hands without using soap. that is nearly half of all men. that means statistically you have probably shaken hands with or been in direct contact with one of these people.
love when men say that women "only want money" when it turns out that even in equal-earning homes, women are actually adding caregiver burdens and housework from previous years, whereas men have been expanding leisure time and hobbies. in equal-earning households, men spend an average of 3.5 hours extra in leisure time per week, which is 182 hours per year - a little over a week of paid vacation time that the other partner does not receive. kinda sounds like he wants her money.
love that men have decided women are frail and weak and annoying when we scream in surprise but it turns out it's actually women who are more reliable in an emergency because men need to be convinced to actually take action and respond to the threat. like, actually, for-real: men experience such a strong sense of pride about their pre-supposed abilities that it gets them and their families killed. they are so used to dismissing women that it literally kills them.
love it. told my father this and he said there's lies, damned lies, and statistics. a year ago i tried to get him to evacuate the house during a flash flood. he ignored me and got injured. he has told me, laughing, that he never washes his hands. he has said in the last week that women are just happier when we're cooking or cleaning.
maybe i'm overly nostalgic. but it didn't used to feel so fucking bleak. it used to feel like at least a little shameful to consider women to be sheep. it just feels like the earth is round and we are still having conversations about it being flat - except these conversations are about the most obvious forms of patriarchy. like, we know about this stuff. we've known since well before the 50's.
recently andrew tate tried to justify cheating on his partner as being the "male prerogative." i don't know what the prerogative for the rest of us would be. just sitting at home, watching the slow erosion of our humanity.
#writeblr#warm up#ps edited so it is more clear where “half” of men is coming from:#15% literally don't even touch water#an ADDITIONAL 35% ''wash'' by just running their hands under water WITHOUT SOAP#15+35 =50%#like that is not washing ur hands. go back and use soap#btw the numbers for women are 4% never washing and 15% ''just water''#which is still gross but like. sooo much better yikes#ps i know we're all gay on this site but watching ppl ''correct'' my math on this has been wild#i have a learning disability im genuinely bad at math so i check EVERY time someone corrects me#but no they're just confidently wrong.....#182 hours is a week babes. 182/24 (number of hours in a day) is ~7.6#that's where i got that number from. also from rent we know there's 168 hours in a week.#ALSO btw if u read this and ur response is ''men are also struggling rn tho'' like babe you missed the point of it tho#this doesn't even make fun of men it's legit just pointing out that bigotry against women isn't founded#in anything men actually CARE about . like they don't actually CARE about ''being clean'' when they make fun of armpit hair#or they would be WASHING THEIR HANDS.#men pretend to be rollin' in cash and Apex Predators and instead they are trained to be lazy and unwilling to act in emergencies#i have never and will never make fun of men for asking for more support on important topics like DV and mental health.#this is so clearly not about men; it's about how common just being plainly misogynistic has become.#like they don't try to hide it anymore.

tolkien is full of three dimensional villains who understand the mistakes that they've made and regret them, or who have very understandable motivations that we literally watch spiral downward. melkor, meanwhile, came into existence as the strongest prettiest best cosmic entity, immediately started trying to fight god for the aux cord, and made it everyone else's problem for the next All Of Existence

Yall i dont think im gonna be able to stop thinking about usha and g13, actually.
Ushas an old old woman, clueless with tech. Lived long enough to develop various bonds with a LOT of people and relies on them a lot for help. In turn, shes VERY loyal to her close conpanions (a great example would be how she tends to back paula up a LOT, the way she sets up russel and paula to 'fake date' wink and all). She's very warm and very emotionally intelligent even if she's a bit clueless sometimes. Her logic is borderline incomprehensible, but it has heart.
G13 on the other hand, is a hacking prodigy. Hes young, hes sought after for his skills for better and for worse. But in turn, he's essentially lost himself in the process. He may be able to scrape nuke codes, but he'll never make a friend. He lacks any loyalty for anyone and anything except for himself and his interests, and if they dont satisfy those two points, then its worth nothing to him. His logic may be sound, but its cold.

Kurvitz stresses that Kim doesn't actually have a character sheet hidden in Disco Elysium's code. Imagining that Lieutenant Kitsuragi has only one natural attribute point in Motorics helps the ZA/UM team to understand the depth of his character beyond what's referenced in the game's dialogue. "We just came up with this stuff for coherency," says Kurvitz. "And because we're nerds."
"I like to think Kim has a Thought Cabinet project called Revolutionary Aerostatic Brigades that he's worked on since he was a teenager," Kurvitz says. "This raises the learning caps for his Reaction Speed and Interfacing."
Kim's high Volition skill makes him impervious to prying, Kurvitz says, as the detective can find out on occasions being met with Kim's brick-wall resolve. Kim often chastises these whims of the detective's, but will occasionally play along. The Lieutenant finds his new partner funny, says Kurvitz.
Kim is naturally shit at Motorics and thinks Harry is funny source

Two disasters for @tzimizce's Palla Grande prompt (Anya commandeering an entire corner of the venue with their dumbass childe Cyril and a fancy szlachta).
They're angel and/or dragon themed because clan tradition, Cathari doctrine, and as a play on the dragonslayer king-hero trope.

man someone in the notes of that AI post left a several paragraph long response like “but what if students don’t know how to write well? what if they’re socioeconomically disadvantaged and never got good writing instruction? they should be allowed to use AI” no they fucking should not because that is not going to help them develop their writing or benefit from writing instruction if they’re not fucking doing any writing themselves! a student who does their own work and gets a low grade but still actually practices writing is learning at least ten times more than a student who just plugs the prompt into chatgpt and doesn’t write at all

Bird-reptiles is a butterfly-moth situation?
Precisely! These kinds of situations show us how wrong we have been for so long about the relationships among various animals. The pretty little boxes we like to make are often very, very wrong, phylogenetically, i.e., they are not compatible with the *actual* relationships among the organisms.
Here are a few other mind-fucks that have come to light as a result of modern methods being applied to traditional categories that turned out to be wrong:
• Snakes are lizards
• Termites are cockroaches
• Birds belong to lizard-hipped dinosaurs (Saurischia), not the bird-hipped ones (Ornithischia)
• All tetrapods are fish
• Insects are crustaceans

SLIGHT TADC EPISODE 2 SPOILERS
Tumblr media
Can we talk about the detail that, in Caine’s quick flash introduction to the bandits, they all look the same? Same “model”- and then, when we get to meet them in the map, they’re all very much portrayed as their own individuals, with life and character? (Different body types, accessories, mannerisms, a story and a life hinted at, etc) My assumption was that was done purposefully, because it shows Caine just sees them as that, npc bandits. I’m- still in a bit of pain-
