why is it so hard for some people to take feedback without turning it into an attack? like, i’m trying to help, not throw shade or tear you down. feedback isn’t a personal insult, it’s a way to grow, to learn, to get better.

but instead, it feels like every little suggestion is met with defensiveness or silence or worse, aggression. it’s exhausting watching people hear “here’s something you can improve” and immediately build walls or throw blame.

i get it. hearing criticism is hard. it stings. it can make you feel small or wrong. but what if we flipped the script? what if we listened like it’s a gift, not a grenade? what if we thanked people for trying, even if the delivery isn’t perfect?

growth doesn’t come from pretending we’re perfect. it comes from being brave enough to admit we aren’t.

just a thought. maybe next time, try hearing before reacting. maybe it’ll make things less heavy.

What I learned in my Artist/Product Management class at Full University.

I Just wrapped up an incredible month in my Artist and Product Management class, and what a journey it’s been. One of the key takeaways for me is understanding that the artist manager is essentially an extension of the artist. This relationship is so crucial because it really shapes how the artist’s vision is communicated to the world.

Equally important is product management. The products an artist sells are not just merchandise; they’re a direct reflection of the artist’s identity and brand. It’s fascinating to see how the right products can resonate with the audience and help build a deeper connection. We’ve also discussed the importance of considering demographics—both the target audience who loves the artist and those who may be unfamiliar with them. It’s a balancing act that requires insight and strategy!

I’ve been looking forward to this class for a while because I aspire to be an artist manager. This deep dive has been exactly what I needed to prepare for my future in the industry. Today I Learned

Just spent 20 minutes trying to explain to my cat that the red dot is not, in fact, a tiny demon trapped inside my phone screen. Turns out, even with a degree in Feline Psychology, some things remain a mystery.

Asking Stupid Question

I just asked stupid question in a big forum full of management team. It’s just so stupid and no context of the actual situation because I actually doing something else when the important news being announced. I feel so stupid like real stupid, especially I’m in a managerial position. How come I look so stupid and dense in the situation.

It’s not only that time, but it also happened often. That omg I feel so stupid and feel like I dont deserve this job and role.

But chat gpt said I need to focus on the learning rather than the mistake, because dwelling on the mistakes is just useless and only hurt myself even more. Since this time I will start no baper or no take things to the heart, I will convert this feeling of a learning curve. And justify this feeling as I’m still new and actually everyone also knew I’m new in this position, maybe everyone knew (?), and it’s still my 60 days of probation. Even though first impression is important, but in sales world, number is much more important.

Things I learned that day:

Listen to any management meetings without multi tasking

If you happen to do something else, don’t open your mouth because you might not actually hear and understand the context completely

Everything’s a learning curve, you fail now, you learn now
