hello I’d like to request soohyuk and angst prompt #22 (hint hint break up?? joking, only if u want to) the fluff and the (m) for his works are lovely but i thrive off angst so 😈
you and me both anon ♡
Lee Soohyuk | Words left unsaid angst | 0.7k | gn!reader
It’s here again.
He closes his mouth upon realizing that the words he wishes to say would only reach his own ears. So instead he ups the volume of the music and focuses fully on the road. His knuckles are white on the steering wheel. It’s hard not to get annoyed with himself, but that’s life. He should’ve told you when he had a chance.
Admittedly, this was a mess Soohyuk got himself into. He’s the one avoiding you, stubbornly, despite the fact he’s perfectly aware of his childish behavior. Nothing really stops him from calling you right now and telling you what’s at the tip of his tongue. Then again it still is tender, a healing wound that aches when the weather changes. And it hurts to know you’ll get it and, perhaps, be there when he’s ready and act like he never ignored you.
He hopes he can get over it one day. You deserve better - you’re more than just a past tense in his life. He wants you to be.
And there he goes again - another thing enters his mind, something you asked him a long time ago but that he didn’t have an answer to then.
It used to happen a lot in those days. You'd ask him something and Soohyuk would be caught off guard or he would have no idea about the answer, no opinion on the matter. (You always introduced him to new things, something he never paid attention to before. He misses that.) Or he'd want to tell you a story, only to be interrupted by a phone call, or his manager walking into the room.
There are many promises he broke, but the ones haunting him still are all the stories he promised to tell you later. It's unimportant in the grand scheme of things, and he wonders if his refusal to interact with you right now has anything to do with his friends laughing at him when he drunkenly rambled on about this exact topic. But to be honest, it matters to him. It's rare to have someone's undivided attention all to yourself, to have someone actually listen and care, and you were that rare person.
He worries that all that he is is just that - selfish and lonely. Greedy for someone’s attention, your attention, that would never stray away. It felt safe talking to you, being with you. Without judgment, without pressure. You still are his best friend, so why is he like this?
His jaw clenches painfully and unclenches. He’s not ready to talk to you, but maybe a text? Would it be too strange to shoot you a random message out of nowhere? You used to do that all the time, albeit in the past that’s at the same time fresh and yet it feels like years ago.
Soohyuk keeps pondering over it the entire day until tomorrow is only minutes away. Cocooned in his bed, he’s hiding away from the world, from life, as if it could make the seconds stop ticking by. He’s staring at his phone screen, your chat window opened. Would it be pathetic to text you? He isn’t sure about the rules, about what’s appropriate. You used to do it so naturally, but that was back then…
He tries giving himself pep talk, tries to manipulate himself into thinking this is the exact opposite of pathetic because talking to you like nothing happened would make it seem like he’s over you already, right? He tries logic - it would make him feel better to talk to you. Hell, he even texts a friend to get a second opinion. If only he would respond…
He tosses and turns without any rest for his eyes, his mind, or his heart. He wants to talk to you. But he doesn’t want to be the one doing it. If there was a way he could turn the conversations with you that he has in his head into reality, a memory that he could enjoy, he would take it in a heartbeat.
Finally he closes his eyes. He can’t do it after all. Blindly he locks his phone and puts it away on the nightstand. He sighs, and the sound resonates in the empty bedroom. You always used to hug him from behind and just hold him wherever he did that. No matter if there was something on his mind or not, you always cared. He misses that.
Was what you had really that bad?
He knows now is not a good time to think about it. But Soohyuk allows himself tonight to wallow in his loneliness and memories of you anyway.

HELLO OH MY GOD i haven't finished the last chapter wholly yet but i'm in literal tears over it so u know it's hitting hard
i had to come here though to say THE LYRICS FOR SWEET DREAM?? I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE AN ALIEN STAGE FAN AND THOUGHT I WAS HALLUCINATING WHEN I SAW THE LYRICS 😭😭
anyway. sorry i really had to get that out. love your writing and your stories 💙
Hello~! glad to see the angst is hitting, there's more where that came from :)
ahem, yup! it's sweet dream alright. And yeah i def watch alnst and i honestly just rlly rlly like the music (Till is alive till is alive till is alive till is-)
Some fun facts about the writing process actually I listened a lot to Wiege and that xylophone theme that plays at the end of Round 7 (you know which one TwT) so yeah i definitely sobbed my eyes out, thanks vivimeng. another fun alnst fact, I think Sweet Dream fits the context of KRS' Earth pretty well when you look at the lyrics, with themes of hoping to god to be saved and such, and also fits with Cale's death too. Though I doubt he'd ever be so religious, some parts still fit cause yknow. death. ("the morning won't come to me") it made more sense in my head but yeah imagining Lee Soohyuk singing it is fun. Fun fact, it's also KRS' fav song mostly because he likes the record associated with it, and because LSH and CJS like singing it absentmindedly and thanks to his ability it got stuck pretty easily. it was annoying at first but now he can't help but like it lol (it's cause he misses them)
jbakajah sorry for the ramble but tysm for reading! hope you stick around more, tho updates will be slow because my hands are cramping up and I just got back from a 6 hour road trip TwT

spoilers for part 2 murim arc +++
while i understand that the common take on sui is that by far he's more or less a flat character that the author doesn't really know what to do with and hence uses him as more or less of a laugh track — and while i think that's hilarious, i also think there's deefinitely a little more to it from where that came from.
i also desperately want you to keep in mind that almost everything that kim roksoo - now cale has learnt is directly from his experiences at team 1 under soohyuk - now sui's wing. we know this from the test at the sealed god's temple where cale had tried to communicate with his gang via sgt!krs using the cintamani. that poor boy was so awkward.. my sgrungly crimblo...
let's start with how he's introduced! he finds cale in orsena's duchy and they essentially just have a staring contest for a while before sui joins the party. i.. i am not going to lie, while i was a tiny bit disappointed that they didn't have an emotional reunion, a little reflection on their situation and dimensions as characters made me quickly realise that it was no time or position to have a touching re-contact with each other.
mainly, i think this is because sui khan is guilty. he lives with the guilt of leaving cale behind, and he lives with the guilt of knowing that he eventually has to ask for cale's help regarding his own bird clan — as briefly touched upon in one of the earlier chapters.
his existence in xiaolen was barely there, he'd mostly spent his time with the kids, and volunteered to go spying without even having to be asked — while this may be perceived with the idea that lee soo hyuk prided himself in his abilities of stealth, it's also...
"our little sui wanted some air." maybe i'm looking too deep into this, but it seems that even cale picks up on the fact that sui is restless and uneasy for whatever reason and used it to jab at him as a joke.
skipping forward to when cale had to choose a party for his trip to jungwon, he more or less truly did not require sui's presence there besides for the fact of moral support.
and i think.. sui picked up on that, because he suddenly has this air of mischief to him, and while i definitely don't think that he's by any means faking his laughter, i also think he's genuinely masking his worries, concern and guilt by throwing lighthearted jokes to jab at himself and at cale, more or less as a silent apology of sorts.
he's also mentioned to be by cale's side much more often, whether or not this is because cale is in the body of the weak kim roksoo, nobody really knows. but i think cale thinks that's the real reason.
and while i seriously might be looking too deeply into things; these three instances 100% stood out to me.
(forgive me for the off-quote as i am going off of angie's summaries + poor machine translation via google lens)
1. when the emperor of jungwon had asked cale his name, it's specifically mentioned that he glances at sui who nods his head to encourage him. cale then smiles and states that his name is cale henituse
2. when the whole gag of sui making up murim versions of the entire team's names were going on, it's mentioned that cale had originally thought sui was going to give cale the name "kim roksoo", and its further mentioned that sui paused before saying gae-il (as a joke) then settling with hae-il instead.
3. after that whole exchange is over, they'd joked around with each other, "young master kim", "noble warrior lee". further proceeding past this instance, cale's little shit switch finally turns on and he monologues about how he begins to ignore sui's comments and even contemplates if he should call sui "young warrior lee" instead.
now, don't look at me like i'm crazy, please!! cause i'm well aware these are more or less the most normal instances to mankind that yrh may have just put in here to keep the mood lighthearted. but since when has yrh ever written fluff without the underlying gut-wrenching angst? keke
i seriously think this exchange between the two is their whole "reunion" talk, between two clearly emotionally distanced men, between them who were once best friends, but are now still finding the middle ground to interact with each other. their care and trust in each other remains the same, perhaps has even grown greatly, but in order to avoid accidentally doing damage, they try to find their own little safespace in the dynamics they've created with each other in earth 1 before lee soo hyuk had passed on.
i think sui definitely is bottling up a lot of things he'd rather not say to his dongsaeng who is still definitely struggling and has his plate full with the concerns of his own family and other dimensions. i think sui will finally get the push he needs soon, and i think that rereading part 2 with sui's inevitable arc in mind will be a juicy heartbreaker due to all the subtle and nuanced instances the author littered here and there.
while i agree that murim arc is most certainly sort of dragging on in the last 5 or so chapters, i still really really enjoy the direction part 2 is going in, and am eagerly waiting for more. choi jungsoo's appearance is going to break me in 10 halves, i'm most certainly not ready.
here's to manifesting soos reunion on monday chapter 900! here's to law of the hunt already reaching a 100 chapters!!
tl;dr - sui is a pro at masking. the soos.. definitely need closure, and the foreshadowing of it happening soon is driving me insane enough to theorise about it!!
#i cant believe the soos are making me write those theory posts that i detest reading..#trash of the count's family#lout of the count’s family#tcf lee soo hyuk#cale henituse#tcf#tcf choi jung soo#lee soo hyuk#tcf spoilers#tcf part 2

Conheça mais de @tsu_dhyuk!
NOME: Gong Dohyuk. USER DO TWITTER: tsu_dhyuk DATA DE NASCIMENTO / IDADE: 23 de abril de 1992 / 28 anos. GÊNERO: Masculino. NACIONALIDADE: Coréia do Sul. ETNIA: Coreano. OCUPAÇÃO: Proprietário do Matsumoto Tea House.
TEMAS DE INTERESSE: Angst; Fluff; Romance; Smut. FACECLAIM: Lee Soohyuk, ator.

can i request a part 2 of ur first joongil imagine? him returning from travels to find the second wife very sick (ig u can decide whether to make it temporary or like near death) + any angst u can think of w that bc the first one was excellent ☺️
nothing warms my heart like joonggil angst ♡
Park Joonggil (Tomorrow) | In sickness angst | 0.8k | f!reader
Clouds of deep gray hang high in the sky and loom over him just like gloom. Today especially is a bitter affair.
While Joonggil feels a certain sense of gratefulness for returning home - he gets to see how his aging mother is holding on and see to it that the place of his birth is protected - there is always more to it.
Namely the knowledge that she won't be there.
They assured him time would heal his wound. It didn’t. Perhaps he has his stubbornness to blame. It's been many years without progress in his empty emotions - not one step forward that would make a difference.
His pain dulled into everpresent ache but that changes little when he has a wife waiting for him where it no longer truly feels like home. She is not to blame, naturally. Only his broken heart.
He returns to his house later than he could have. He dragged out the meetings with officials for longer than necessary, helped his mother and conversed with her for just as long, until she all but pushed him in the direction of his own dwelling.
Stepping over the threshold, a cold shiver runs down his spine. Something in the air reminds him too much of that night.
He looks for you in the kitchen and in the garden, but wherever he searches, there is only one place that could hide you - your bedroom. Joonggil respects your space, even if for him it’s more out of desire for separation than consideration of your privacy.
“y/n?” he calls out your name and almost feels rueful for the impassive way his voice sounds. A pained groan is the only answer he receives from behind the door, so he takes the liberty of entering your room.
He finds you alive, although you've admittedly seen better days. You're pale, beads of sweat glisten on your forehead and roll down your neck. Your lips are an unhealthy ashen color. He rushes to sit down next to you, puts his hand over your forehead to find it hot enough to cook an egg. He frowns.
“I'm sorry,” you whisper weakly, “I'm afraid I was not able to prepare the house for your return.”
The ache deepens. He wishes Ryeon’s untimely death would erase all his emotions, not only the good ones.
“That can wait,” he soothes, “When have you fallen sick? Does anyone know?”
Predictably, you shake your head no. Who would you tell, afterall? His mother might have preferred you to the other women who once could have become his bride, but that means nothing if you are not bearing his children. And then all you have is your husband - gone for weeks and distant when he returns. His eyes flicker over your face and with certain bitterness he realizes it wouldn't be much effort to put away his concern and let it eat him alive, transformed into guilt.
“I've been feeling sick for the last week,” you manage to get out even if your voice is strained, “It's only been worse for the last three days. I think…”
Time’s been a bit blurry for you. When Joonggil’s here, you can at least count the days based on the interactions with him. When you’re alone and feverish, though, it turns into an impossible task. You don’t notice his face falling with regret.
He can’t be a good husband, but he still aims to be a decent one at least.
“Stay here,” he orders softly even if you’re clearly too weak to move. He gets a piece of cloth and gets it wet with cold water. He moves efficiently, treats it like a military operation. He knows if Ryeon was this sick, he’d be out of his mind with worry. Maybe this is better. It’s more efficient, if nothing else.
He gently wipes down the sweat from your face and neck, and feels mild satisfaction when he returns again to set the cold and clean cloth over your forehead and it seems to help.
“Have you eaten?” he asks, and somehow it feels like he’s stepped over the line of intimacy he’s drawn in his relationship with you. It’s uncomfortable, but he has to know. Decent husbands take care of their sick wives. You shake your head. Of course not, he should’ve known.
“I will see what I can do,” he promises. He doesn’t ask if you can wait for him, knows you already waited long enough and it’d only make him feel worse. He knows he’d ask Ryeon, though.
As he sets out on a journey to bring back some food, it starts to rain. It’s gonna get colder, he should start a fire when he returns - he should’ve done so already.
Again, he knows years earlier, in a different marriage, he knows he’d do better.

My Dancer (Lee Soohyuk Scenario)

Request: This may sound rather weird but I had dreamt about this and the thought just won't let go of me. So there's this Scenario: y/n is a dancer and currently performing with another group of dancers for a royal theatre. One day the son of the family who owns said theatre visits the dance practice and instantly falls in love with y/n. But because he never felt this kind of love he's a bit rude to her you know like the quarrel of lovers is the renewal of love so but because of his behavior y/n (1) doesn't think too much of him so one day when y/n is on her way home her car breaks down in the middle of a dark forest and of course it starts so rain. So then the son shows up and takes her, soaking wet, to his home where she can shower and change her clothes. But what she didn't know: the son is already married to a girl of equal royal status. But he doesn't love her. So he has lend y/n some clothes from him and of course his wife notices that and treats y/n without any (continued) (2/2) respect at all and kicks her out when the son leaves the room for a moment. Y/n is now completely lost outside, she has no car and it didn't stop raining so she's all soaked again... The end? I leave it up to you. the son's character could be portrayed by Lee soo hyuk, gong yoo or Lee Joon gi thanks in advance and I'm sorry if this is too specific, weird or long ~ Anonymous
A/N: Hey there! I’m sorry this took a bit longer than I said it would, but the scenario, itself, ended up being longer than originally intended...I hope you like it! ~ Admin Silver

Summary: Love can be an unfamiliar feeling that will make you do things you never thought.
You lifted your arm over your head and leaned to the side as you focused on your breathing. The attention you were giving your stretches was torn away when you overheard a small group of dancers to your left giggling. You looked over at them as you straightened and leaned the other way. “What’s going on?” you asked curiously. One of the girls looked over at you with an excited grin. “You didn’t hear who came to watch practice today?” she asked. When you shook your head, she and the two other girls waved you over. When you stood next to them, they subtly pointed to a spot directly in the middle of the audience seating. You glanced up to see a man sitting directly in the middle. You couldn’t really make out his features due to the distance and the house lights being down, but you could see his dark hair and impeccably styled black suit. You looked back at your fellow dancers to see them stealing glances at him between giggles. “Who is he?” Another of the girls gawked at you. “You don’t recognize him? That’s Lee Soohyuk. He’s the only son of the Lee family, the one that owns half this city. He’s like...modern day royalty or something.” “You’re from out of town, aren’t you?” the first girl inquired. You nodded and she laughed. “That’s why you didn’t recognize him. Like Sunye said, he’s practically royalty. His family is one of the richest and most prominent around here, and, well, owns half the city. Including this theatre. Usually it’s his mother who comes to watch practice. I wonder why he came?” “Maybe he was bored?” You shrugged. “Or he’s filling in for her.” The third girl laughed and shook her head. “Either way, I’m glad. He’s so handsome…” “Yeah,” the other two sighed, and you couldn’t help but smile. Not a moment later, the choreographer stepped on stage and called for everyone’s attention. She explained the scenes you would be working on today and had everyone take their places. You had a supporting role in the show and were only a few feet away from center stage. You were still a rookie in the company, but even so, you were one of the best dancers this season and a supporting role was the best you could get outside of being part of an ensemble. ~~~ Soohyuk glanced at his phone for what felt like the hundredth time in the last ten minutes. His father had somehow convinced him to attend the ballet corps’ practice at their theatre that day. Something about learning every aspect of the family’s holdings, not just the business side. Soohyuk, however, would rather have been anywhere else. His attention returned to the stage when he heard the choreographer speaking loudly. His eyes scanned over the dancers and paused on one just off to the side. When his gaze landed on her, he felt his heart skip. Soohyuk rubbed at his chest as a knot formed. He wondered over the new sensations for a moment before returning his attention to the girl onstage. He found himself watching her over the next few hours, growing increasingly confused and frustrated over the odd feeling. He only got it when he looked at that particular dancer, and it annoyed him. ~~~ Practice lasted for a few hours like usual, but this time it seemed more taxing. All you wanted was to go home, take a hot shower, and climb into bed in your comfiest pajamas. Your plans, however, were about to be interrupted. “Who the hell are you?” A voice caught your attention as you made your way through the carpark, startling you out of your fantasies. You turned to find the same suited man from earlier. Now that you could actually see his features, you understood why the other girls were so giggly. He certainly was handsome, if a little rude. “Excuse me?” you asked, turning toward him. You crossed your arms, frowning as you watched Soohyuk walk closer. “What’s your name?” he asked this time, stopping just in front of you. One had was in his pocket and the other was twirling an expensive looking smartphone. You watched as he looked you up and down, almost like he was inspecting a specimen. You were growing annoyed at his attitude. You answered his question with one of your own, “Why do you want to know?” Soohyuk shook his head, “Can’t you just answer a simple question?” “___,” you finally told him. He opened his mouth, but you raised your hand to stop him. “I know who you are, Mr. Lee. Is there anything you need from me?” Soohyuk scoffed and the corners of his lips twitched. “Well, then. Nothing, I suppose. Goodbye.” You stared at Soohyuk as he turned and walked away. You watched as he got into the backseat of a nearby car with tinted windows, just leaving you there. “What a weirdo…” you mumbled to yourself as you continued searching for your own car. ~~~ Interestingly--and annoyingly--enough, that wasn’t your last interaction with the man who essentially owned your workplace. After practice every day for the following week, you would be on your way to your car when Soohyuk would stop you. Sometimes he’d catch you in the lobby and sometimes he would stop you in the carpark. Either way, it was the same type of conversation. He’d make some comment about you, your dancing, or your dance partner, and then you would reply with as much sarcasm as you could muster. Sometimes the conversations were teasing. There’d be a tilt to Soohyuk’s grin and a certain sparkle in his eyes. Other times, however, he could be downright rude. You noticed those were the days you practiced scenes with your partner, but you thought nothing of it. You figured you were just the newest toy on a rich boy’s radar. You didn’t dislike Soohyuk, but you weren’t sure how much you liked him either. You had grown so used to these daily interactions that you were shocked the one day you didn’t see him at all. Soohyuk hadn’t shown up to watch practice, in fact no one from his family did. It was the source of plenty of gossip amongst the dancers and you found yourself wondering if something had happened. You made your way through the cars, searching for your own, and realized that you were taking longer than usual. “What am I doing, looking for that weirdo?” you asked yourself quietly as you reached your own car and unlocked it. You threw your bag into the backseat before climbing in behind the wheel. “Jeeze…” You pulled out of your parking spot and quickly made your way to the highway. The news on the radio was talking about an accident halfway between the theatre and your home, so you decided to take the next exit and use a different route that you knew of. Practice ended late this evening, so by the time you reached the backroad, the sun had fallen. You drove through the tall trees trying not to think of all the horror movies you’d watched in your lifetime. “You’d think living in a city, I wouldn’t find myself in a creepy place like this…” you sighed as you turned the radio up to drown out the creepy thoughts. You were singing along to one of your favorite songs twenty minutes later when all of a sudden, your car started to sputter. You turned on your hazard lights and slowly pulled over to the side of the road. Almost as soon as you stopped, the engine cut out. The dashboard lights and radio all shut off, throwing you into darkness and silence. “Shit…” you whispered. You reached over and began digging through the glovebox in search of a small flashlight you stashed there in case of emergencies like this. Once you found it, you pulled the lever to pop the hood and got out of your car. You looked around, eyeing the woods as you made your way to the front of the car. Using your free hand, you lifted the hood and immediately began to cough when a cloud of steam hit your face. You waved the steam away and stared at the smoking engine. “Great. Could this get any worse?” you shouted. As if on cue, a loud peal of thunder answered your question. You looked up at the sky in surprise. “Oh, no. Oh, no no no!” you yelled as you tried to shut the hood quickly. By the time you managed to close it and make it back to your seat, you were all but soaked. You rested your head on the steering wheel, loudly swearing and cursing both the car and sky for a terrible night. You reached back into your practice bag and dug out your cellphone. You dialed your roommate’s cell number, groaning when it went straight to voicemail. You banged your head against the headrest before sighing, “This cannot be happening. Why is this--AAAHH!!” You screamed when a pounding knock sounded against your window. You placed your hand on your chest to try and calm your racing heart. You held your cellphone tightly and looked to the side to see who it was. “Mr. Lee?!” you squawked, quickly rolling down the window. “What are you…?” Soohyuk leaned down and narrowed his eyes at you. He had an umbrella in one hand and a cell phone in the other. “___?” he asked. “Why are you out here like this?” “My car broke down…” you answered, feeling your cheeks warm as he stared at you. “You wouldn’t happen to have the number for a tow truck would you?” Soohyuk nodded. “Yes, but it’s on a business card at home. Come on, you shouldn’t be out here alone like this, especially soaking wet.” “Oh, um...I don’t think--” you began to protest. Soohyuk opened the car door and offered you a hand. You grabbed your wallet and cellphone before letting him help you out of the car and lead you to his, which was facing in the direction you had come. “I live about five minutes from here,” Soohyuk explained as he started the car and turned on the heater. “We’ll call a tow when we get there. You can tell them where you stopped and it shouldn’t take long for them to get out here and find it.” You nodded and thanked him. The ride continued in silence, the only sounds being the rain and the hum of the car’s engine. Soohyuk reached over after a moment and pressed a button on the radio, but keeping the volume low. “The weatherman said it would continue raining the rest of night,” Soohyuk coughed out. You could tell this ride was just as awkward for him as it was for you. You gave a small hum in response, and the two of you fell silent again. It didn’t take much longer to reach Soohyuk’s home. It wasn’t a mansion, but it certainly wasn’t some cottage. The house was two stories and was surrounded by trees. A garage sat off to the side of the building, the driveway leading straight past the house to it. There was a large fountain that the pavement circled around and a set of stairs leading up to the front door. Soohyuk had parked as close to the steps as possible. “Wow,” you couldn’t help but whisper. “Yeah, it’s a little outrageous...but it’s home,” Soohyuk said. You turned to see Soohyuk leaning over the steering wheel and staring up at the house, almost mirroring you. There was a strange expression on his face that you couldn’t place, but it disappeared as soon as he noticed you looking at him. Soohyuk coughed and leaned back to take his seatbelt off and grab the umbrella. “Wait until I come around,” was all he said before getting out. Soohyuk led you through the house and into what looked like a study. The walls were lined with bookshelves and paintings. On one end of the room was a desk with a computer and several notebooks. On the other end near a fireplace was a coffee table surrounded by a sofa and two plush armchairs. “Wait here a minute,” Soohyuk said as soon as you entered the room. He left and walked down the hall, leaving you there alone. You began to browse the bookshelves, noticing that the books were split between fiction and nonfiction. About five minutes later, Soohyuk returned with a pile of clothes in his hands. “There’s a bathroom down the hall you can use. Get cleaned up and out of those soaking clothes. You can borrow some of mine. They’re old, but they’re clean and they might fit,” he said as he handed the pile to you. You looked from the clothes in your hand to Soohyuk and back. “I don’t want to impose, we can just call the tow truck and I’ll wait in the front…” Soohyuk shook his head. “You don’t want to catch a cold do you? Or get kidnapped by some psycho in the woods?” he asked, the same cheeky grin you had become accustomed to taking its usual place on his lips. You grinned back and replied, “How do I know you’re not some psycho in the woods? You have been following me this whole week.” Soohyuk threw back his head and laughed. He shook his head at you and waved toward the door. “Go change. There’s a fully stocked shower in there, too. Just leave any towels you use in the basket by the door. I’ll search for the number while you’re in there,” he said, still grinning. “Fourth door on the right.” You stepped past Soohyuk and turned down the hallway. You easily found the bathroom and locked the door behind you. You glanced in the mirror at your stringy, wet hair and found yourself glad that you never wore makeup when you had practice. Looking like a wet rat was bad enough, you didn’t want to look like a wet raccoon on top of it. Laughing to yourself, you set the clothes Soohyuk gave you on the counter, found a towel a towel, and began to undress. You stepped out of the bathroom twenty minutes later, your wet hair dampening the neck of the T-shirt Soohyuk lent you. You padded barefoot down the hall back to the study. Your shirt and shorts were in your hands, wrapped in a plastic bag you found under the sink. When you entered the study, Soohyuk was sitting in one of the chairs, a book in his lap. The sight of him like that with his guard down caused a fluttering in your stomach, one that you remembered getting every time he would smile at you during your run-ins. He looked up when he heard you come in and grinned. “See, isn’t that better?” he teased. “Yeah yeah,” you snorted. You walked over to the armchair across from him and curled up in it, setting the bag on the ground. “Did you find the number?” Soohyuk nodded and pointed to a card sitting on the coffee table. He bookmarked the book and set it on the table as well before steepling his fingers and staring at you. “What?” you asked as you shifted nervously. “Why aren’t you in the lead role?” You stared back at Soohyuk and answered, “Because I don’t have enough seniority for it. I’ve only been with this corps for about six months.” Soohyuk raised a brow, “But you’re an incredibly good dancer.” You felt your cheeks warm and shifted again. “Thanks,” you mumbled. “Mr. Lee--” “Soohyuk. Please, call me Soohyuk.” “Soohyuk,” you said softly, watching his eyes flash. “You’re usually not this nice to me…” It was Soohyuk’s turn to shift uncomfortably. “I’m, uh, sorry about that,” he started. “I just...I don’t know how to…” “How to…? Act kindly to a stranger?” you joked. Soohyuk snorted and shook his head. He opened his mouth a few times and his forehead scrunched as if he were trying to figure out how to speak. “Just say whatever it is you want to say,” you urged him. You made yourself comfortable while you waited for him to start. “I feel strange around you.” You stared at Soohyuk wide-eyed. “Well, that’s certainly not what I expected. Nor does it convince me that you’re not the psycho in the woods…” Soohyuk narrowed his eyes at you as you snickered and sighed. “What I mean is...when I’m around you, I get this funny feeling in my stomach. When I first saw you earlier this week at practice, my heart did a weird...jumpy thing…” “Jumpy thing?” you repeated with a grin. “Don’t make fun of me,” Soohyuk groaned. He rubbed his forehead in frustration. “I don’t know if I’m allergic to you, or what. Stop laughing! Anyway, being around you makes me feel like that, but it makes me feel oddly happy. I have never met anyone I’m like this around and it’s incredibly frustrating.” You tried your hardest to back bite a smile. “So that’s why you’re always so rude to me? Because I make you feel funny? What is this, a case of playground pigtail pulling?” “Pigtail...pulling?” You giggled at Soohyuk’s confused expression. “Nothing. Don’t worry about it, you weirdo.” Soohyuk looked affronted at being called weird, but just laughed it off. The two of you moved on in conversation, but your thoughts continuously returned to his confession. Did Soohyuk...have feelings for you? Over the course of the next half hour, you learned more than that about Soohyuk. Your conversation was like one long game of 20 Questions. You learned about what he liked to do besides the family business, and he learned why you loved to dance. You learned about each other's’ favorite foods, vacations, and so much more. You found yourself enjoying Soohyuk’s company, and you found that you did, in fact, like him. All of a sudden, there was a ruckus in the hallway. A woman threw open the study door and sauntered in. She was dressed in a dress suit and was towering in a pair of six-inch heels. She was in the middle of talking about some store when she caught sight of you and stopped short. “Who is she?” the woman asked pointing a finger at you. “Miyoung…” Soohyuk said, standing. “What are you...I didn’t think you’d be back until next Friday?” Miyoung looked at you again and her eyes widened a fraction. “Why is she in your clothes?!” Soohyuk raised his hands in a placating manner and stepped between the two of you. He explained that he had found you stranded in the road on the way home from a meeting. He told her that you were from the theatre and that you two had talked a few times, so he wanted to help you out. He made a point to mention that that was all that happened, and it seemed to calm Miyoung down a fraction. “That was sweet of you, darling. Would you do me a favour and take my bags up to the room? I’d hate to leave them out where anyone could trip,” Miyoung asked sweetly, batting her eyes. Soohyuk looked at you and apologized, “Sure, Miyoung. Sure. I’ll put them in the same room you stayed in before you left.” Miyoung smiled at Soohyuk and patted him on the cheek as he turned to leave. As soon as he left the room, she turned on you with a scowl. “Get out of that chair,” she ordered. You stood and stepped back, nearly tripping on your bag of wet clothes. Miyoung scoffed at you and shoved past. She leaned over the table and picked up the business card, reading each side carefully. “___, was it?” Miyoung asked, not really looking for an answer. She took a few steps in your direction and glared at you. “Do you know who I am?” “Sorry, no,” you replied. “I’m Soohyuk’s wife.” “Oh,” you replied, trying to hide your shock. “He didn’t mention having a wife.” Miyoung hummed in response, giving you a nasty smile. She nudged you out of the way, pushing you toward the middle of the room. Once you were out of the way, she leaned down and picked up your bag. She inspected the clothes before making a noise of disgust and throwing them at you. Miyoung walked over to you again and used a finger to pin the card against your shoulder. “I don’t care what you’re really here for, you little golddigger. You can sit in the rain for all I care. Get out of my house and away from my husband,” she sneered. You bit back the rising anger as you took the card from her and turned to leave. You pretended not to hear the insult she muttered and quickly left the room and made your way back to the foyer. Just as you grabbed the doorknob, you heard Soohyuk calling your name from the stairwell. You sniffled and straightened your back before turning to face him. He came down the remaining steps and rushed over to you. “Where are you going?” he asked, concern written over his face. “It’s still raining.” You shook your head. “I’ll be fine,” you said firmly. “I’ll call the tow truck on the way to my car, and wait there. I’ll try getting hold of my roommate again so that someone knows where I am. Thank you for all of your help, Mr. Lee.” Soohyuk’s brows shot up. “Mr. Lee? What happened to calling me Soohyuk? Seriously, ___, you can stay here until--” You cut him off. “No, I can’t. And you know what? You really should have mentioned that you have a wife before basically confessing that you have feelings for me.” Soohyuk’s eyes widened and he opened his mouth to speak, only to be cut off by a throat clearing. You both turned to see Miyoung at the hall entry with her arms crossed. She was glaring at the two of you and tapped her foot repeatedly. “Goodbye, Mr. Lee,” you said quietly before leaving the house. Once you were a few yards away, you began to cry. ~~~ A few more weeks of rehearsals passed and opening night finally arrived. You shared a dressing room with two other dancers, both supporting roles as well, but were currently alone as you were still getting ready. You hadn’t seen nor heard from Soohyuk since the night your car broke down, and you were partially glad. You weren’t sure you would be able to handle another confrontation with his wife. You stared into the mirror as you began to wonder if they’d both be in the audience during the performance. “Of course they will,” you said to yourself, “His family owns this place…” You were pulled out of your musings when a familiar knock sounded at the door. You slowly got up and made your way over to open the door, hoping that it wasn’t who you thought it was. “___...hi…” Soohyuk said. He stood on the other side of the door in a grey tailored suit with his arms behind his back. This wasn’t the haughty Soohyuk who would bother you after practice, but the real Soohyuk whom you had gotten to know in such a short time that night. “I, uh, wanted to see if I could catch you before the show to give you these. You mentioned that you liked daisies...” Soohyuk took a bouquet of beautiful multi-coloured daisies from behind his back and held them out to you. You stared at them in shock as you took the flowers. “Mr. Lee--Soohyuk--you really shouldn’t ha--” “We’re getting divorced,” Soohyuk interrupted you. “Actually, I’m divorcing her. I’ve been trying to get her to sign the papers for almost two months now.” You gasped and grabbed Soohyuk’s arm to pull him into the dressing room. Once you closed the door and set the flowers on your vanity, you calmed your breathing and turned to face him. “You have five minutes. Explain.” “I’ve been trying to divorce Miyoung for weeks now. It’s something that’s been in motion since before I met you,” he began. “She’s been in Paris this whole time using it as an excuse to not sign the papers. It’s not even me she wants to stayed married to, it’s my family’s name and money. You met her, it can’t be that hard to realize. Anyway, I didn’t know she was coming back so early and I was planning to give her the papers and tell her to move out once she returned, so...you saw how well that plan worked out.” You nodded, but remained silent so that Soohyuk could get everything out. Soohyuk dropped into a chair with a heavy sigh and rubbed his face. “The woman’s a vampire, I’m telling you. I don’t know why I agreed to marry her in the first place. And when I heard what she did to you...I got so pissed. I kicked her out of the house.” “You what?!” you almost yelled. “Soohyuk, you kicked her out in that weather?!” Soohyuk shrugged, “Yeah, but it didn’t really stick. She didn’t leave that night, but the next afternoon instead. There was a lot of screaming and slamming doors all night long, from her I mean. But she agreed to sign the papers. We’re getting a divorce.” You nodded and leaned back against the table. “What does this have to do with me?” you asked quietly. Soohyuk leaned forward and set his elbows on his knees. He put his head in his hands and sighed again. “You were right that night,” he said as he lifted his head to look at you. “I did have feelings for you. I still do. These past few weeks have been hell not seeing you or talking to you. I don’t know if I love you, I’ve never actually been in love before...but there is something there. I want to see what it is. I want to be with you.” You nodded and moved to stand in front of Soohyuk. He sat back to give you room and stared up at you warily. “I’ll admit, I have missed talking to you and arguing with you,” you told him, crossing your arms. “But I will not date a married man. Shush. Ongoing divorce or not, until it’s finalize you are still married.” Soohyuk frowned and you could tell by the look in his eyes he was hurt. You leaned over and grabbed his hand. “But once the divorce is final...maybe...we could go out for dinner,” you said as you played with Soohyuk’s hand. You looked at him with a cheeky smile and winked. “If you don’t act too rudely, weirdo.”

#1: The Autumn Vale
OC x Taehyung ft. Lee Soo Hyuk
Royal Circle!au/Fantasy/Angst/Fluff
Preview: Soohyuk’s smirk faltered the instant the light of the fire caught one of the wet trails sliding down her face. Just as he started to stutter out a defense she turned away and ran from his chambers. Fists clenching in frustration he stomped behind her into the hallway. Anna harshly wiped at the tears as she stormed towards the Great Hall; chastising herself for coming here at all. Behind her the oak doors of The Prince’s room swung open with a loud bang as they bounced off the stone walls. The force nearly blew out a few of the lamps flickering in the space between them. Soohyuk did his best to control his temper; scrambling to gather back all the composure a Prince should have. “Anna, wait. I’m not finished.” She scoffed at the cool tone his words carried and turned to bend at the waist in an exaggerated bow. “Excuse me, Your Royal Highness. I must be returning home. My husband is waiting for me.” she spat the words at him before twisting towards the exit once more. Possessive jealousy boiled up inside his chest like tar, “You are not his! You are mine.” He hissed. Still trying to keep his volume low. When he saw her pause near the door he continued, “You have always been mine…since we were kids. And now you think you can just go? I am a Prince! He is nothing!” Anna Maria faced him for what he immediately knew would be the last time for the night. “I am not yours. That’s exactly the problem here. You think I’m some kind of pet you can keep around and play with when you like and send away whenever you please.” Red splotches of rage blossomed across her face. “You sent me there. It was you who threw me out of the castle. Out of my own home!” Through the tears in her eyes she saw the way his eyes skittered up and down the hall when her words rang loudly off the cobblestones. Somewhere inside all the rage and hurt she still felt concern for his reputation. Even after he’d tarnished her own. Her next words were quiet but thick with a hurt she wanted to make him feel like a slimy coating he could never wash off. “He may not be a Prince but he is kind. He never asked for any of this yet he’s not once made me feel unwelcome. All because you wanted to punish him for the crime of being a friend to me after you kicked me into the dirt.”

OC x J-Hope/Rap Monster
Angst/Fluff
Preview: Safely on the other side of the door Aeri was sure that the blush was going to forever stain her cheeks. Massaging her face to correct the blood flow she headed towards the right door to get her bag out of J-Hope’s room. “Aeri, how could you just toss me to the ground like that? After everything we’ve been through.” his voice was thick with a goofy dramatization but as he looked behind you to where your hand was still on the door handle his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “Why are you-” his question died out when Namjoon pulled open the door and stepped out half dressed; tugging his shirt down to cover his abdomen. He looked between Aeri and Hoseok for a moment, not registering the look of confused shock on his member’s face. “‘Sup?” The leader gave Aeri a quick look; not even attempting to hide the soft smile he gave her when she looked away in embarrassment. Namjoon brushed passed Hoseok towards the living room and left the two of them alone. J-Hope swivelled on his heel to give her a face of pure bewilderment. “Uhhh…..what was that?” “Nothing, Hoseok. I just walked in when he was changing. I went into the wrong room.” His eyes narrowed at that. “How did you get the wrong room? You’ve been coming here pretty much as long as I have.” She ran a hand through her hair before starting back towards his room. “I don’t know! I was just in a rush and I ran into the wrong room…” Hoseok was close on her heels. “Well, what happened? He wasn’t naked or anything was he?” She turned to give him a blank stare as she entered the bedroom. “If I had walked in on Kim Namjoon naked you and everyone in this house would know. Because I’d be dead.” He stopped walking now, his eyes narrowing further into suspicious slits. “Wow, Aeri. That’s a pretty big exaggeration. Someone might think you liked him.” She bent to pick up her bag, snorting quietly at the veiled accusation. “They’d be wrong. I’d die if I saw any of them naked. They’re all gorgeous and it’d make things weird.” Aeri tied the bag shut and faced J-Hope with a smile. Reaching over to pinch at his cheeks. A smug twinkle in her eye. “Why do you care? You jealous?” He stuck his lower lip out in a pout. “Of course I’m jealous.” She felt a quick clench in her heart at the possible meaning. Her hands freezing in midair. His pout melted away, a bright smile taking it’s place. “You’re my best friend. I don’t want them getting any ideas and stealing you away from me.” She felt her mouth fall into a hard line before she tried to fake a smile. Giving him a light shove. “Is it stealing if I go willingly?” “It is. I would never let you date one of those animals. You’re like a sister to me and I know them far too well.” He finished with a chuckle.
I’m gonna be tagging a few lovelies! I can’t think of a lot of people to tag so here goes nothing lol. @ricepot-jisung, @jiminniemouse, @wonhopes, and @boothewriter oh and a big thank you to @my-poor-lonely-heart and my girl Ashley for reading it over for me before I posted.

you write a lot for soohyuk, i was wondering if you’d consider writing for park joongil? his mom was awful in that past life and i can imagine her wanting to marry him off again and that relationship with his second wife would be so painful and sad and your guidelines say you are open to writing angst so if you do consider this thank you very much!
Anon I love you for this idea?? I wish my writing skills were better to do it justice but this concept is the perfect angst material?
Park Joonggil (Tomorrow) | Married again angst | 0.7k TW: mentions of suicide
Watching your husband, separated only by a few steps as the cold air makes its way inside the house through the open door, there’s a tight feeling crushing your chest.
Standing right under the edge of the roof, only a breath away from the falling rain, Joonggil’s just a husk of his past self. You’ve heard about the fate of his late wife - who hasn’t. So many see it as the best thing that could happen, his own mother included. You’ve always wondered if they’re all blind. Because as tragic as death inevitably is, the loss of life before one passes is all the more painful.
Blind but not stupid, nobody expected your marriage to be easy. On the contrary, however, it’s been smooth sailing so far. Perhaps you’re sharing the last speck of fortune that you were given.
Anyway, the marriage works well. You were never suited to be a wife, to carry and care for a child, the household, and so when Joonggil approached you on your wedding night and as respectfully as he could expressed that he won’t be able to give you a child, nor the love you’re worthy of, it came as a bittersweet relief.
You care for each other, sure, but that’s about the extent of it. You’d be lying if you said you haven’t developed any feelings at all for the man. They’re a luxury you can’t afford, a guilty pleasure to indulge in whenever Joonggil brings you a gift from the travels duty sends him on. When he hands the objects to you, the smile never reaches his eyes. You’ve wondered more times than you can count whether there was ever an unspoken this made me think of you behind the gesture, or if they are just to keep appearances.
You’re not naive enough to hope.
A part of you, one set on hurting you, wishes you could’ve met his previous wife. Joonggil never speaks of her, which is understandable, and you don’t push him, you don’t ask. Nonetheless, you’re curious. How unique that person must’ve been to capture Joonggil’s heart so? How wonderful she must've been that her death left behind a hollow shell of a man? You've only stopped doubting love is real after you've witnessed his devotion. How painful it is that you're not the object of it.
Sometimes you believe he wishes he'd have died with her. Other times you wonder whether, maybe, if you died people would believe him cursed and finally let him be alone and mourn the loss of the love of his life as he wishes. Even if that was the case, however, you could never take your life. You know that his mother would only push for another wedding. And more importantly, you could never do that to him.
He still gets woken up by nightmares. Even tonight.
You know he can feel your eyes on him and so you get up. He's not stupid. You know he knows. But you have to keep up the charade. You're careful not to dirty your clothes as you step outside.
"y/n, go back to bed. The night is cold," he speaks without turning towards you.
Your name. Not wife like he used to call her - an information bestowed upon you by his mother. Apparently all that she does and says has to have a victim. Something to torment.
"Come back inside, Joonggil," you ignore his advice, "You're leaving tomorrow and you need strength."
He sighs.
"I'll be just a minute," he finally looks at you, giving you a slow nod. You return it, and just like that, you do as he’s told you.
Polite, short conversations, the usual. Come morning, he'll be gone before you can wake up. It hurts. Night seems to be the only time you can talk freely, without curious eyes and ears spying you. The rejection stings more for that.
Maybe it's for the best that he's leaving.
You’ll dutifully play the role of a wife missing her husband and you’ll play it well. It's the only role you play without pretending.
