Just Some Akuma Class HC’s

Here’s some sweet HC’s for the akuma class, my babies! (Canon!Nette GTF outta here, this is FANON!Mari, the bae!) Enjoy! @artzychic27 @imsparky2002

Whenever someone in the class has some sort of extracurricular event, be it a game or meet for Kim/Alix, a Kitty Section concert, one of Mylene’s plays, a gig for Nino, etc, everyone is there to cheer them on, as enthusiastic as they can possibly be.

They are ALL neurodivergent. Fight me. Marinette struggles with OCD, this is canon. Kim has ADHD. Max is on the autism spectrum, and I actually feel like Nath(hyperfixating) and Juleka (social struggles) and Ivan (emotional expression) too. Mylene and Sabrina have anxiety. Everyone is supportive. Stim toys are always on hand. That is all.

They have regular class outings, be it a picnic in the park, seeing a movie, shopping, or just walking around Paris. They always have fun together and make a ton of memories.

They have biweekly movie nights where one person gets to pick the category, and they gorge themselves on snack food and yell at the screen. (They also group watch TV shows. Their last watch was Bojack Horseman. They are all emotionally destroyed.)

Their group chat is absolutely unhinged and it may leave you with deep mental scars if you read it.

In this class, one person’s younger siblings are EVERYONE’s younger siblings! Anyone in the class would commit homicide for Sasha Bruel, and they’ve all become well-versed in dealing with the Cesaire twins.

They have a funny game they all play together where they take a random idea for a story and then take turns adding stuff that makes the plot progressively more insane and hilarious.

Ivan is the designated person to carry any of his friends when they’re tired, overworked, hurt, or even just if they feel crappy and want to be carried. He’s a good boi.

Kim is pretty much the personal trainer for each of his classmates and you best believe he knows damn well how to motivate and pump up whoever he’s working with.

Adrien is the class baby, and they will all protect him with their lives. They’re teaching him about life and social norms, and plotting Gabe’s death is a regular occurrence in class discussions.

They have a…weird ritual for birthdays. No one knows how it started but it’s terrifying. All I’ll tell you is that it involves a pitch dark room, candles, dark cloaks, and chanting. Are they summoning something? No one knows.

Nino is class dad, and Mylene is class mom. They will do anything to take care of their friends. They always have first aid kits in their bags. They keep snacks on hand for everyone. If you’re out sick, they’re checking in on you regularly. You better be resting properly or you’re in trouble!

The whole class has nicknames for each other, both shortened versions of longer names (Mari, ‘Lene, ‘Brina, Jules, Nath) and the little cute ones that have to do with traits, experiences or personalities. (“Sunshine” for Adrien, “Kimbo” for obvious, “Tomato” for Nath.)

It’s Yunmeng’s Gym Leader, Jiang Cheng! (”You are challenged by....” template from Asmaee)

I started thinking ab Yunmeng Sibs pokemon teams in this post, and I could not stop!

In this au, the sects are towns/gyms. Yunmeng’s big with a lot of rivers and swamps, so the Yunmeng gym leader has historically also been in charge of the Yunmeng Rescue Ops. They’re kind of function like pokemon rangers but without capture stylists.

I watch competitive pokemon matches but am by no means an expert or strategist lol. ive put my thoughts on his team comp below the read more as well as some au thoughts

so he’s the master of 3 poisons so you fucking know he’s spamming toxic baybee!

Dragalge/Shore-lene

He got Shore-lene while on the gym circuit! She was the second pokemon he caught, and he found her near the shoreline so “shore-lene” like “Marlene.” It was originally spelled “Shoreline” but he got tired of correcting people.

He sets up toxic spikes w Shore-lene, and if they’re cleared or he doesn’t end up doing it, his other poke’s can use toxic. Shore-lene has flip turn in case she needs to get out and scald to help deal with steel types.

Scolipede/Scuttles

He got Scuttles from his mum when he was a kid, after he got Growlithe/Love, Eevee/Jasmine Totodile/Princess. Growlithe was sent away when WWX came, and Princess uhhh died later on. So Scuttles is very precious to him. Before she evolved, he would hold her up to people like “isn’t she so cute?!”

Scuttles is meant to be a hard hitter, and I was thinking of putting swords dance on him so he’d have more sweep potential, but I thought the type coverage granted by earthquake would be better idk.

Crobat/Sandu

Sandu was the first pokemon Jiang Cheng caught! He loves her dearly and as a kid, would secretly dote on her (as well as his other pokemon). He dotes on them more openly now that he’s Gym/Rescue Ops leader and has gone to therapy. She liked to just sit on his head when she was smaller but it’s much less feasible now.

Sandu’s super fang helps deal with steel types and other not great type matchups, and she can do some noice hits with acrobatics after her berry’s eaten. Toxic bc of course I had to put toxic on sandu and u-turn to get out of dodge.

Umbreon/Jasmine

It’s tradition in the Jiang family to give every kid an Eevee when they turn 5, and this was Jiang Cheng’s first pokemon! He’s very cat-like in personality, and JC complains about him all the time but always gives him treats and belly rubs.

Jasmine’s a wall/staller w/ wish and substitute as well as someone to deal with psychic types. If toxic spikes is still set up, then he can just vibe while the opponent loses health to bad poison. If not, he can use toxic.

Espeon/Suibian

As you can guess, Suibian was originally Wei Wuxian’s eevee. After WWX disappeared and came back with a god(?) and some very scary ghost pokemon, he stopped using Suibian, and JC started taking care of her, even though she wasn’t on his team in a formal capacity. After WWX disappeared again, and it didn’t seem like he was coming back, JC added her to his team, and she evolved under his care.

Suibian can set up reflect for some extra defense as well as deal with psychic types with shadow ball. She’s a heavy hitter, esp if she can get some calm minds off.

Gyrados/Sunshine

It’s Sunshine! Jiang Cheng won her in a festival when he was like 8 and was very adamant about keeping her, despite his parents being pretty judgemental. After a lot of hard work and determination, she evolved and is ready to wreck shop!

Sunshine has that moxie/dragon dance combo for sweeping as well as a lum berry to get rid of status conditions but esp burns/paralysis. Pretty straightforward.

Lucy Lowis presents Seventh Cycle Soul.

A sincere, intimate, and emotional album with a personal twist.

Lucy Lowis is a singer and songwriter with a focus on creating music that blurs the lines between many different genres. At the age of 16, she is able to write music with a fantastic sense of lyrical maturity and a keen ear for great melodies. Her songs often approach deeply personal themes, grappling with feelings, existential questions, and other observations on life in general.

She recently released a fantastic debut album titled Seventh Cycle Soul. This astonishing release is an excellent achievement for a first-time album, especially if you consider the fact that there are so many artists out there who are simply not able to produce this kind of quality, even after years of experience making music in the studio!

The record kicks off with a stunning opening track: “Smile.” This is a perfect first song because it gives the audience a great taste of what they can expect from this unique release. “Smile” is a catchy, happy, and direct song with a lovely ukulele melody and some heartfelt vocals, which remind me of artists as diverse as Regina Spektor, Billie Eilish, or Kate Nash, only to mention but a few. The second song on the album is titled “You and Me.” This is a soothing, melodic ballad, which has a classic feel to it. The sound of this song reminds me of artists like Ani DiFranco or Gillian Welsh. However, Lucy stands out for her intense and romantic lyricism, highlighting her poetic approach to songwriting. “Safe Haven” opens with a beautiful electric arpeggio, and it evolves into a deep soundscape with influences as diverse as indie rock and alternative music. The song “Sun” is yet another great mid-tempo number, with a beautiful set of vocal harmonies that remind me of some earlier records by The Cranberries. The song “Heart of Stone” brings back the ukulele, going for an intimate and nostalgic style, which might remind you of artists as diverse as Sufjan Stevens or Cat Power, only to mention a few. “Today” falls along the same line, but it has a nice lo-fi drum to it and a more upbeat tempo, making the song feel more energetic and direct. I love the vibrancy and appeal of this beautiful track! The next tune, “Sunshine Girl,” is a really direct song with some great lyrics and a very minimalistic arrangement that lends the songwriting so much passion and truth. “In The Rain” has a beautiful 3/4 tempo (well, or it could be 6/8, depending on how you want to count it!), and it brings back the drums to add a bit more of a groove. This track actually makes me think of Dido, as well as Lene Marlin!

“Pretty Crier” is built on a soothing piano melody, and it retains a very intimate and melodic style, with Lucy reaching some impressive high notes. “Melody Falls” has a bit of an old-fashioned vibe, with some jazzy chords that make me think of some Norah Jones.

“Waiting” is a song with a more traditional folk sound. This track might remind you of classic artists such as Bob Dylan, but with a more melodic approach. I love the background vocals on this one, especially how Lucy sings a low part and a higher register main vocal line!

The next song, “11:42,” feels timeless and spontaneous, and it has a beautiful sound that’s incredibly endearing and catchy. Last but definitely not least, the final song on this beautiful album is titled “Tip of My Tongue.” This track combines folk and indie-pop influences so beautifully, and I love how Lucy plays her guitar rhythmically instead of strumming it regularly as you would with a pick!

In addition to the beautiful songs on the album, Lucy also dropped a fantastic acoustic version of the song “Safe Haven,” which is currently available on streaming platforms as well! I really enjoy this rendition since it reveals the song’s fragility, and it highlights just how good the arrangement is! When there is heart and creativity, all you need is a guitar and vocals in order to really make the music stand out! However, this acoustic version also has some stunning ambient songs in the background, giving it a dreamier twist. If you want to have yet another perspective on this great song, you should check out Lucy’s live performance on it, which is available on Youtube! Her live vocals are just as perfectly balanced and warm as the studio version, and I love the soothing, lower-register timber of her vocals, which reminds me of the amazing Elena Tonra from the band Daughter!
