I found out Giovanni has a persian painting and IMMEDIATELY recognized it as a play on Ingres' Grande Odalisque which is a painting of what is highly debated between being either a Turkish or Persian woman.

He has a painting of a Persian based on a painting of a Persian.

*quick art history side note that the debate isn't about her origins, the painting is intended to be depicting a Turkish woman but the Persian Empire did include the part of Turkey she is supposed to be from and the debate is about whether its supposed to aesthetically be strictly 1800s Turkey or if its intended to allude to the aesthetics European artists at the time used to depict the Persian Empire

I think the most baffling thing is that pokemon fans for some reason entirely ignore a major factor when complaining about new games. They focus on shit that doesnt really matter, like designs being bad (which is up to individual preference) or being too easy (it is a beginner rpg) and they havent talked about how Pokemon Lets Go added an important accessibility feature no game afterwards has used. Lets Go is playable with one hand. You dont need to use two hands to play the game, you just need one hand, since you just use a control stick and 2 buttons. Why didnt the Diamond and Pearl remakes include that? theyre also 2D turn based rpgs. Why didnt Sword and Shield include it? They dont have camera control, the camera is fixed, you could easily play it with one hand. I can understand a little bit more with Scarlet and Violet and Legends Arceus since they do have more complex controls, but for more traditional turn based rpgs, why remove a feature that lets more people play? Lets Go's control scheme was a godsend when i injured my one hand from overexertion at work, it let me still play a game i loved without any compromise. Why include that feature and then remove it later?

My first shiny was a Chikorita in heart gold, which was under odds as far as i remember. Her name was Mapel (yes, spelt incorrectly. i was like 12). i miss her

Catching him brought the combo to 14 and bringing the total number caught to 111.

WOW! WOW TWO FULL ODDS SHINY POKEMON ON THE SAME DAY?! and eevee came so early?! Wild! I feel so lucky! You can literally see me with Charmander (Meelo) who I just caught a couple hours ago! 😂 (now a Charmeleon) with Charmander caught at 7:23 and Eevee at 9:38!

I don't know what to name him or if I will evolve him ahhh. Did not think I would catch a shiny eevee so soon! Perhaps if I can think up some names I enjoy I will post a poll and let everyone vote on a name (Or maybe I will just use the picker wheel again lol)
