Hunted
Pairing: Liam Dunbar x reader
Warning: None
Chapter: 6.05
You sit in silence watching as Liam wraps tape around his lacrosse stick; nothing you could have said would change the way he feels. The ghost riders had taken all the people your pack tried so hard to protect, but Liam had taken it the hardest and was blaming himself. He arrived at the science lab just as the ghost rider that was trying to attack you vanished, looking so defeated and broken.
You presume it was the presence of a hellhound that scared the ghost rider off.
Hearing footsteps, you lift your head up, forcing a smile when Hayden, Mason, and Corey walk into the boys locker room. “What are you guys still doing here?”
Neither of you say anything.
“None of this was your fall.” Mason puts his hand on Liam’s shoulder. “There was just so much happening tonight, it was impossible to save everyone.”
After the game, Coach had made Liam team captain, and under any other circumstances he would have been delighted; becoming captain was something he had wanted for so long.
Feeling your phone vibrate, you walk to the other side of the changing room. The sound of static keeps interfering. “Scott, I can’t hear you.”
His voice comes through like mumbling.
“Can you say that again?”
He repeats himself, but this time his voice is clearer. The phone starts to slip from your grip, but Hayden is by your side and catches it before it hits the ground.
“What’s happened?” Liam wraps his arm around your waist, holding you upright. “Babe, what’s happened?”
“My uncle Chris is in the hospital.”
—
“You should be in school.”
Hearing your uncle's voice, you sit upright in the hard plastic chair you were starting to doze off in. Seeing him with so many injuries made tears well up in your eyes; it was bringing back the pain of losing Allison. “I thought I was going to lose you.”
He strokes the back of your back, “I’m going to be fine.”
“I don’t want to lose anyone else.”
Just as you begin to hysterically sob, Melissa comes into the room and kneels down so she’s level with you. “Hey, Chris is going to be fine. Argent’s are made of rubber.”
Y/n Argent.
That didn’t feel right.
You wanted… It definitely wasn’t your mom, and you don’t have a dad anymore. Not since Kate killed the man she let you believe was your father for most of your life.
“I just feel so alone.”
Melissa pulls you in for a tight hug and says, “You’re not alone. I think you should stay with me and Scott until Chris is out of the hospital.”
“Thank you,” your uncle gives her an appreciative nod.
They make eye contact and share an intense look, one you try to ignore. The last thing you needed to think about was whatever was going on between the two of them.
“Yeah, thank you.”
Melissa stands back up and awkwardly breaks eye contact with your uncle, her cheeks turning red. She clears her throat while smoothing out her scrubs. “I have a spare key in my locker; I’ll go and get it. Unless you want to wait until I finish my shift.”
“I better go to Liam’s house first; I left my backpack for school at his. I can text Scott and ask him to pick me up on the way back home. But thank you; this means a lot.”
She gives you a warm smile, “Don't worry about it. You're in Scott's pack, and that makes you family.”
—
Feeling exhausted, you flop down onto the bed beside Liam. You chuckle lightly when Liam outstretches his arm so you can cuddle into him. “Can I ask you something?”
“Shoot.”
“Do you ever get the feeling something is wrong but you can’t fully understand or explain what’s wrong? I just... something has changed, but I’m not sure what.”
“I need to see what you just said in writing.”
You both laughed; you were so exhausted your brain felt as if it was turning to mush. “I just need to sleep before trying to have a real conversation again.”
“Scott knows you're here, doesn’t he?”
After showering, you said goodnight to Melissa and Scott. You went to sleep in the spare room, but you had this gnawing feeling in the back of your mind that Liam wasn’t okay, so you snuck out of the McCall house by climbing out of the window. We went to the Dunbar house. Melissa probably wouldn’t have been too happy, but unless she came to check on you during the middle of the night, she wouldn’t know.
“Yeah, Scott most definitely knows.”
“I can give you a lift back in a couple of hours before Mrs. McCall gets up.”
You cuddle closer into him, “Thanks.”
Liam kisses your forehead, “But in the meantime, try and get some sleep.”
Not long after your eyes shut over, you begin to dream of different things, and even while in a dream-like state, you still feel a sense of deja vu. You see a board with different names on it, but none of them are clear enough to read. You are in a hospital bed, and someone is holding your hand, but you can’t see beyond their arm. And the last thing you remember seeing is seeing writing on your hand.

I dont know which is funnier, Liam Dunbar looking at Theo Raeken, known murderer who hurt and minupulated him and everyone he cared about and thinking "I could fix him" or Theo Raeken, known murder who's lack of morality has led him to commit unspeakable crimes, looking at Liam Dunbar, a good kid with anger issues which he has exploited in the past, and thinking "I'm gonna fix him"
#like theo sir you are basically on probation for murder and you decide to become an unwanted therapist for a far more well-adjusted person#its actually really cute#liam dunbar#theo raeken#teen wolf#thiam

It was a cold, clear night. The full moon hung in the sky, bright and full, making the darkness feel even thicker. You were lying on the couch in your house, reading a book, although your thoughts couldn’t focus. Something in the air seemed different that night, something that put you on edge, though you couldn’t quite pinpoint why.
The sound of a knock on the door snapped you out of your thoughts, making you jump slightly. You looked toward the entrance, and before you could get up, the door opened slightly, and there, standing in the doorway, was Liam Dunbar. His face was covered by a tense expression, his eyes shining with a strange glow that you hadn’t seen before.
"Liam..." you said, surprised to see him at this hour. "What are you doing here? Are you looking for Scott?"
He barely reacted to your question, and his voice came out hoarse, as if he were struggling to control himself. "No... I'm not looking for Scott," he murmured, slamming the door behind him with more force than usual. You noticed his posture, rigid, as if he were fighting something.
"Then... what...?" The question hung in the air as you watched his hands tremble slightly.
He looked at you, and for the first time, you noticed something in his eyes that made you feel uneasy. There was something wild in his gaze, something you couldn’t fully understand. Liam slowly moved closer, almost as if he couldn’t help it. "I’m having... trouble. I don’t know how to control it," he said, his breathing now heavier.
You immediately realized something wasn’t right. "Liam, what’s going on? Are you...?" Fear gripped you as you got up from the couch. Before you could finish the sentence, Liam came much closer, so close you could feel his heat. His eyes were no longer the same; his darker side was showing. "I’m sorry, but I can’t control it. The moon... the full moon..." His voice was almost a growl, and you instinctively stepped back.
"Liam!" you tried to stay calm, but the situation was overwhelming. "You have to calm down..." you couldn’t finish, because in a quick move, Liam grabbed you by the waist, his strength surprising. His body was rigid, his muscles tense as if he were in an internal struggle, and his breathing was out of control.
"No... I can’t. I don’t have control," he said in a broken voice, but his eyes shone with a wild desire, something you couldn’t fully understand. "I need you."
A chill ran through your body. You didn’t fully understand what was happening, but you could see the desperation on his face. Something inside you told you that it wasn’t Liam who was looking at you like that. It was something else, something the full moon had awakened in him.
"Liam, please, talk to me," you pleaded, searching for a way to calm him, to bring him back to his senses. But his face was so close to yours, his breathing fast, and his body even closer than before. You were trapped between his need and his internal struggle, not knowing what to do.
"I need... to feel you," he murmured, and his voice was so deep it made your whole being tremble.
Liam could no longer maintain the distance. A sigh escaped his chest as, in one swift motion, he gently pushed you against the wall, his face near yours. He looked at you intently, and his eyes, now completely dark, reflected a desperation that froze your blood. "I can’t avoid it," he said, almost pleading.
Fear in your chest increased, but there was something else you couldn’t deny: the desire, the attraction you had never fully recognized before. He captured you in a fierce kiss, a kiss that left no space for thought, where only hunger and need existed. You could feel his body reacting to the contact, the growing pressure of his presence on you.
"Liam... no..." you tried to pull away, but his hands tightened their grip, holding you in place.
"I’m sorry," he whispered, almost like an apology, before pressing you harder against the wall. The feel of his body against yours made you feel even more trapped, and although reason screamed in your mind, your body responded to each of his touches. The contact with his skin burned you, and although you knew he was fighting his more primal side, you couldn’t help but feel the growing tension between you two.
Liam pulled away a little, his eyes returning to normal for a moment, as if he was coming back to himself. "I’m sorry, I’m so sorry..." he murmured, but the gleam in his eyes never fully disappeared.
"It’s okay, Liam... just breathe," you said, not knowing what else to do. You knew he couldn’t control what was happening, and you didn’t know how to handle it either. But looking at his face, seeing that internal struggle, you realized it wasn’t just desire he felt for you. There was something more, something you both needed to figure out.
The contact with his body made you feel the growing attraction, the need to let go of fear and surrender to the moment. And that's exactly what you did, surrender to the senses. His kisses caressed your neck, his fingers effortlessly unbuttoning your shirt while his hands roamed over your body, as if trying to explore every curve of yours.
You got rid of the shirt with a swift motion, the urgency in his gaze so clear that you didn't need any more confirmation. Liam gently pushed you into your room, falling onto the bed next to you. The touch of his skin ignited you even more, the desire growing within you as his mouth caressed your shoulder.
"Liam...," you whispered, as his fingers pulled off your skirt and underwear in one swift motion, the cold of the room hitting your skin. He caressed it, kissing you with desire, his lips traveling down to your chest. The contact with your nipples was the final touch; a shiver ran through your body as you felt the suction of his mouth on your breasts, the suction was so intense that a moan escaped your lips.
All internal struggle had disappeared, and only desire and need remained. His fingers moved over your abdomen, descending even further until they stopped right where the heat was accumulating in your sex. Liam let out a moan upon noticing how wet you were, his eyes meeting yours as he slid a finger over your lips. "You're so wet for me..." he whispered. "I'm sorry... I can't help it," she murmured.
"Don't feel it," you dared to respond, trying to control your thoughts while desire overwhelmed you. You wanted to feel his hands on your body, you wanted his tongue to touch you, you wanted his fingers to move faster. Liam's fingers moved between your thighs, parting your legs and placing his mouth right where the strongest desire coursed through you. Your breath caught when his tongue licked you, tracing your lips with precision and making you shudder.
"Please," you tried to scream, but the sound came out as a barely audible whisper. Liam increased the pace of his tongue, his lips sucking your clitoris, bringing you to the edge of orgasm. A moan escaped your lips just as his finger entered you, and the mix of sensations sent a shiver through you. "Liam...", you whispered his name, lost in need.
He moved over you, his face shining with need as he took off his pants, the erection evident. Liam positioned himself over you, his knees pushing your legs wider apart. There was no turning back. He looked at you, his eyes shining with passion. "Are you sure?" ..." she asked, her voice deep.
You nodded, and he needed no further confirmation, entering you with barely any preamble. His hands held your waist as he began to move, the motion of his hips taking you to a state of pleasure you had never felt before. The full moon shone through the window, its rays illuminating the room, but nothing seemed to matter. All reason had disappeared, and only the two remained, touch and pleasure.
"I'm almost there...", you whispered, the rhythm of his movements taking your breath away. "Please, don't stop..."
Liam let out a grunt that blended with the sound of his hips hitting your thighs, and the growing rhythm was all you needed. A shiver ran through your body just as his face changed. His eyes shone with a strange light and his figure transformed just before his orgasm shook him.
He collapsed onto you, his body resting against yours, his chest rising and falling as his slow breathing returned to normal. The strange glow had disappeared from his eyes, but his gaze was deeper, as if he had discovered something in you that had always been there. I'm sorry, he murmured without speaking, and you knew it was because the full moon had pushed him beyond his limits, but he didn't fully feel it, deep down he knew it was something more.
"It's okay," you said in a whisper, knowing that he shouldn't feel guilty for what had happened. "You didn't hurt me," you added, even though you knew his words went beyond that, to the truth about what you both had discovered. But at that moment, it didn't matter. The important thing was that they were there, in that room illuminated by the full moon, with each other's touch as their only resource.

i think we should all start writing more theo and liam fistbumping. their almost-fistbump in 6x09 was irrationally hilarious to me, like, oh man you just shot a ghost rider and its accomplice with its own gun? fist bump me up. also it'd be so funny if one of them was helping someone else fight off a Beacon Hills Disaster (TM) , automatically offered up a fistbump after eliminating part of the threat, and got questioned instead of having it reciprocated
"??? do you usually fistbump people after killing a guy"
"he deserved it and i did a sick ass flip to knock him down. we're celebrating"
#shitpost#teen wolf#theo raeken#liam dunbar#thiam#someone rank the mccall pack/allies based on how likely they would be to return a post-murder fistbump#i'd like to think that most of them would fistbump back. but there's always gotta be the debbie downers#also i'm bingeing tw and just finished 6x09 so if there have been post-murder fistbumps before or if they will appear in the future#spare me the shame and pretend i didn't post this#i digress. i am telepathically projecting so many thiam fistbumps onto you

Hunted
Pairing: Liam Dunbar x reader
Warnings: Swearing
Chapter: 6.04
You were thankful Scott’s mom hadn’t returned from work yet; you didn’t want to be there when Melissa McCall discovered the large black scorch marks on her ceiling or when Liam went to a party in her house. You were collecting red cups and other trash that was scattered across the living room and tossing them into a black bag.
Realizing you’re the only one cleaning, you drop the bag and say, “I’m gonna need some help if we want this done before Scott’s mom gets home.”
Hearing multiple heartbeats racing in the next room, you go through and see Scott, Liam, Mason, and Corey staring up at the ceiling. You walk towards them and gulp down, “That’s where the ghost rider came in. It looks like it was burned.”
“Usually you'd find charred spots like that on the ground after a violent thunderstorm.”
Scott’s eyes widen as he processes Mason’s words: “That's how the Ghost Riders got in. He rode the lightning.”
Liam tenses, “If they can use lightning to pass the mountain ash...”
“We can’t hide from them. Nowhere is safe.”
“What about the others?” Corey asks. “It's my fault they're marked.”
“Hey, it’s not. We are all still learning about the ghost riders.”
“We'll find a way to protect them. All of them.”
Although Scott was determined to save everyone, you still doubted it could be done. Breaking the gloomy atmosphere, you pull two black bags out of your pockets and shove them at Mason and Liam. “Come on, we better clean this place before Melissa kills us.”
Scott gives you an appreciated nod.
—
Frustrated, you shove your phone into your bag before going to join Liam and Mason in the library. You hadn’t heard back from your dad in a couple of days and were starting to become worried.
The first thing you notice sitting across from Liam is the frown on his face as he stares at the book in front of him. You felt bad for Liam; he still blames himself for what happened at Scott’s party. “The k-index quantifies the horizontal component of the earth's magnetic field.” He bites on the end of his pen, looking lost in a deep thought, before asking, “What’s a k-index?”
“It’s a scale that meteorologists use to measure thunderstorm activity,” Mason explains. “So, a k-index value less than twenty meters means no activity, and above thirty-five is severe.”
“How bad is it?”
"Well, your average storm has about ten thousand lightning strikes. In the past three months, the average storm in beacon hills has been five thousand.”
“What’s it reading now?”
Mason types onto his laptop and brings up what he’s looking for: “It’s at fourteen. We’re clear.”
“If a spike in the K index means more lightning, we could know if they're coming.” Liam says, sounding unsure.
“That’s good. As long as it stays low, we’re good.”
Just as the words leave your mouth, Mason’s computer starts beeping. A few students turn and glare in your direction as he struggles to turn it off. You can’t see the screen, but sensing how anxious they are both becoming, you know it’s something bad.
“What’s wrong?”
Mason gulps down, “Oh, this is really bad.”
Under the table, Liam links his fingers with yours, attempting to comfort the both of you the best he can.
—
You pace back and forth up the hallways of Beacon Hills High School. You keep glancing back over your shoulder, waiting to see someone standing there. You didn’t know how to describe it, but you just had a feeling that you shouldn’t be there alone. Someone else was supposed to be with you, helping you.
Stiles.
That could maybe be the answer if you knew who Stiles was.
Liam and Hayden had managed to get everyone who was at the party, aside from three lacrosse players, into the underground tunnels. Your uncle Chris and Malia were staying with them underground to keep them safe.
Since the majority of the lacrosse team and coach were in the boys locker room, you couldn’t go in to help try and persuade the players to leave. Hearing familiar footsteps, you turn and see nobody, yet you have the feeling someone is standing right in front of you.
“Stiles,” you whisper. “Stiles, can you hear me?”
“Lu, who are you talking to?”
“No one,” you mumble. Turning back around, you met a confused-looking Mason’s eye. “Where’s Scott and Liam?
“They are playing the game.”
—
You sit beside Mason on the bleachers, cringing as coach becomes more and more angry. The Bulldogs had scored three times, and your school's team hadn’t had one goal all game. You weren’t happy about Liam being out on the lacrosse field, but they reasoned it was the only way to keep the other players safe.
“What are you doing out there?! i'm gonna kill the three of you!”
“Look how red coach’s face is,” you whisper. “He looks like he’s gonna blow.”
“This is the worst ga—“ Mason doesn’t finish his sentence when he notices Scott and Liam looking at him from across the field. “But of course we have bigger things to worry about.”
Over the cheers and boos of the crowd, you hear someone saying your name; they were calling for you. Suddenly sensing who it was, you stand up, and Mason takes your hand to gain your attention. “What is it? What do you hear?”
“My dad's here; he’s with Parrish. He needs to talk to me.”
“Want me to come with you?”
“Find Hayden first, and then I’ll meet you inside. Liam and Scott will call if anything is wrong.”
You sprint from the bleachers towards the high school just as the light rain becomes heavy, soaking your clothes almost immediately. You burst through the doors. “Dad, dad?”
Derek appears behind you and pulls you into him. “We need to go.”
“What?”
“Kate’s coming. We need to go now.”
“But I—“
“The ghost riders are afraid of hellhounds, which is why I called Parrish.” Placing his hand on your back, Derek starts moving you towards the exit. “I’m parked outside. Soon as Liam is here, then we are leaving.”
“Liam is coming?”
He pushes the main doors open and says, “Liam will stay with you while I come back and help Scott and Chris with the ghost riders.”
On the opposite end of the hallway, you hear Hayden and Mason’s voices; they sounded panicked. You spin back around, “Somethings wrong!”
A brunette woman overtakes your friends while running in the hallway but is shot by one of the ghost riders bullets and disappears. Turning into his hellhound form, Parrish is shot by one of the ghost riders. The flames surrounding his body turn green, and he falls back, but is only momentarily stunned before getting back up.
The ghost rider turns its body to face in your direction and aims its gun at you. Growling, Derek shoves you forward just as the bullet skips past where you stood seconds before.
Parrish grabs the ghost rider from behind, giving Hayden and Mason a chance to run by it without being attacked.
You go to run outside but are pulled back. “There’s more out there, fuck.” Being faster than you, Derek takes hold of your hand and keeps you beside him. “Go to the nearest classroom and lock yourselves in.”
Mason’s eyes were widened with feet and adrenaline; he looked as if he were going to throw up. “The science lab is just down the next hall!”
The four of you make it to the classroom. Mason slips and falls. Derek, let’s go of your hand to help him up. Just as you’re about to step inside, a black cord tightens around your ankle. You sink your claws into the side of the door to fight against the ghost rider trying to pull you backwards.
You let out a piercing scream, “Dad!”
The ghost rider pulls on the whip, dragging you along the floor. Expecting to be shot, you squeeze your eyes shut, but they quickly open when the pressure around your ankle disappears. Derek had cut the cord with his claws before lunging on top of the ghost rider.
“Dad!”
Hayden yanks you backwards into the classroom. There’s a bright flash of lightening, then the ghost rider disappears.

if there’s one aspect i could criticize about the writing of teen wolf it’s the in depth backstories of each character only to never talk about it again or develop it any further.
liam’s ied and past school? only used as a prop to further the plot and create conflict (angry man go punch!)
isaac’s abuse and claustrophobia? only mentioned/showed how it effects him one time outside flashbacks (motel california)
theo’s growing up and manipulation with the dread doctors? never mentioned, only lightly brushed over in incoherent flashbacks (yes it shows him being guilty for taking tara’s heart, but not the dread doctors effect on him and torture for him to get where he was)
stiles’ nogitsune trauma? only brought up as a joke after the fact (“i once had a demon living in my head LOL”)
derek hale’s past with grooming by kate? only used to show they know each other, not why what she did was wrong or harmful (doesn’t show the harmful nature of grooming and how derek’s trust would be forever altered because of kate’s abuse of his)
malia living like a coyote for the first ?17? years of her life because she “killed” her own family? “omg you can’t take her anywhere! she likes to eat deer🤣🤣”
allison’s mom killing herself cause she’d rather be anything but a werewolf? mentioned maybe a couple times afterwords
it seems as though they attempt to make the characters deep and thought-out but toss aside the trauma they have given them in order to further the new villian of the week and constant conflict. sometimes i wish that the characters made decisions in conjunction with their prior trauma or showed symptoms of how these events effected them because it’s no secret that they would. i understand that it’s a lot to ask for a super precise and detailed description of how every character is feeling, but with 24 episodes a season, tossing in a couple reflective scenes couldn’t have hurt. i fear that their constant need to one-up their villains took away from the personality and characterization of the show as it kept running.
(this is why i love this fandom so much, because yall do! thank you to the writers who write realistic ptsd or lingering effects of major events)
ok i’m done now thank you @thiamsxbitch for inspiring this rant
