This is just me thinking in writing guys. There might not be a logical thread in this post. I just need to get my thoughts out or they’ll eat me alive. I can’t afford to die. I’m busy.
So.
Regarding the number of episodes remaining... Relationships have been established in this show very quickly. And undone even quicker. Roy and Keeley became a thing swiftly. So did Rebecca and Sam. Now Nate and Jade. Ted and Sassy became a thing VERY quickly. Keeley and Jack. We only have 5 episodes left but that is plenty. Especially considering this is the slowest of burns that ever burnt. Even if it happened in the very last episode, it wouldn’t be out of the blue. It would be providential!
I cannot see the point of Oklahoma, the Hallway scene, 1991, now mentioning the Thread of Fate for it to lead… nowhere. Something is coming. Something huge. I know it. This show is not a soufflé. You don’t spend entire seasons prepping the ingredients, carefully making the dough, watching it simmer in the oven, for it to fall flat (and the winner for Metaphor of the Year goes to.......) Now what is that magnificent dish going to be like? No idea. I’m happy with whatever, honestly. Hannah W. said they are each other’s deathbed companion. Fine by me.
Yet, to me, something’s off. And I’ll put it very simply.
That platonic soulmate thing, to me, that’s not Ted and Rebecca. That’s Rebecca and Keeley. And Ted and Beard. Ted and Rebecca are objectively not that close! They don’t hang out after work. They’re not BFFs! If they were a pair that hung out all the time and shared each other’s secrets and inner feelings and concerns and worries, I would agree…. But, let's be honest here. That beautiful platonic friendship ant*-TedBecca talk so much about and want to preserve at all costs… It doesn't exist!
They even made a whole scene about it! In 2x02.
R: I mean, that's why you have friends, isn't it? To burden them with your issues and anxieties, right?
T: Right. Yeah. Yeah. Speaking of, you got anything you wanna get off your chest?
R: No. You?
T: No. {AWKWARD PAUSE}
R: See, there you have it.
T: Exactly. Yeah, okay. See you later, boss.
That's not them! They don't have that relationship. AT ALL.
They are something else. They are soulmates. I don't know what that means. I don't know what to do with any of this. Or what to think. But now at least I'm not the only one lol

Ted Lasso 3x5 Thoughts
(Hello hello last week was so bleak; turns out I was pretty significantly ill and as soon as my doc and I got things figured out and I got on antibiotics, I became a human being capable of thinking consecutive thoughts and enjoying the things I like.)
One of the things I like is TV show Ted Lasso. I think this was my favorite episode of the season. Or at least it was the episode that, at the end of watching, gave me the most concrete I love this show and I love the pacing and I love the story being told and I love these characters feelings I’ve had all season…and I’ve basically felt that way on some level after every s3 ep (with the exception of 3x4, which left me very unsettled, but also, I was very sick).
Rebecca:
I am so…proud of her?!
Her panic when she didn’t know who to put as her Emergency Contact broke my heart. She’s so aware of the things she’s lacking right now, even as she does have people she loves.
I absolutely love that Shite in Nining Armor was stupid John Wingsnight’s stupid fiancee’s slip of the tongue. I love that Rebecca had no chill in asking her to confirm what she said. I love that John was wearing his idiotic double-Manchester scarf, and I love that in the later scenes in the episode Rebecca was also wearing an asymmetrical scarf with a color gradient.
I absolutely loved every single thing about her choice to see a fertility doctor. Right after the ep ended, my wife said that she thinks that in the end, as Rebecca looks back on her life, she will be comforted by the fact that she tried, that she sought the information, that she admitted to herself that there was something she really wanted and chose to go after the information she needed to find out if it was possible. I agree completely. Also Hannah Waddingham played every moment with that phone call in her office so, so perfectly. Her face always says a million things.
Keeley:
(I already understood that Keeley was bi but) Keeley is bi! Jack is bi! They hit it off and are having fun!
I think the moment when they’re drinking vodka and Keeley says she used to be a happy person is one of Juno Temple’s absolute best acting moments in this entire series, and I say that as someone who generally absolutely adores the choices she makes as Keeley.
The complexity of where she is in her life warms my heart so much. She’s learning a million new things every day. She’s attracted to Jack and feels a connection that she wants to explore. She’s still hurting over Roy and is able to admit that.
It really broke my heart that she didn’t register that Rebecca was calling her, even though I completely understood why she didn’t. If I was in that situation, my phone would be the last thing on my mind. But I love that Rebecca’s first call was to Keeley, and her not picking up is very much in conversation with Rebecca’s lack of obvious Emergency Contact, I think. (Keeley would be a great Emergency Contact! It was just one phone call! But it hurts! Is it weird that I keep capitalizing Emergency Contact?)
I have mixed feelings about how all the Shandy stuff went down. I would have preferred it if Shandy had continued to be a more nuanced character in terms of her potential and her skills. Maybe we haven’t seen the last of her? I think that based on what happened, Keeley was right to let her go, but everything Shandy had to say and do in the first few eps of the season felt like there was a lot of depth behind it, and since she’s a person of color in a vastly majority white office environment it doesn’t really hit quite right that her firing felt primarily like a lesson Keeley needed to learn. I did really love her bridge-burning goodbye speech, though. Who wouldn’t want to yell “fascist fucks” in an awkward corporate setting?! Team Shandy.
Nate:
Nate practicing with his mom: adorable.
Nate being really really into Taste of Athens in Tooting: stressful.
Nate beautifully articulating why it’s important to him and refusing to go along with Anastasia’s ridicule of the place: lovely.
Beard and Roy (and a little Trent) and Ted and Coaching:
I love how much of a duo Beard and Roy are this season, and how fiercely Beard was ready to go to Kansas even while there were so many things happening with the team. That was a genuine act of family right there! And Roy got in on the action too, with his horrifying assault fantasy! The weird love between all these men sends my heart aflutter!
I’m also endlessly fascinated with Ted once again having the beginnings of a panic attack in very close physical proximity to his fellow coaches. I’m into Trent’s gay Let the Good Times Roll mug.
One of my favorite things about last week’s episode was Ted’s decision not to drink before the call with Michelle; it was really important that he didn’t numb himself before saying the things he needed to say. And for weirdly similar reasons, I kinda like that he was defaulting to pouring some water while the call with Michelle connected, then he switched to whiskey at the mention of Jake having taken Henry to the park. Whenever Ted is alone, the choices and things happening physically (his kitchen looked quite neat in that scene, and the open peanut butter wasn’t fighting for counter space with other items) tell so much of the story, and I’ve continued to love how that storytelling is handled.
Ted had a good parenting moment with Henry! His father’s lesson about anger transferred to Ted and then to Henry! Ted’s dad never met his grandson, but he helped him today! (Also, the absolute CRINGE image of Henry performing an apology rap…the incredibly dorky apple doesn’t fall far from the incredibly dorky tree.) It’s not lost on me that after this major parenting win, then a successful staving off of the panic attack by reminding himself that Henry is okay, it only takes a tiny bit of prodding from his team to return to finer coaching form. I love that he rips the sign further. I have been curious about whether or not he’d talk to the team about Nate, but so much time passed between 3x4 and 3x5 that maybe we’ll never know about that. But I love that in the 7 weeks between episodes, the sign stayed up in its ripped state, and I love that he addresses belief more concretely than he’s ever done precisely by taking the concrete symbol out of the equation.
Higgins
Higgins brought the problems with the coaching staff to Rebecca! He continues to be one of the bravest people on this show.
I love how stricken Rebecca looked when he got the words out, too. Her desk was positively strewn with biscuit crumbs.
And he was smart about psychics and said the thing that I really hoped would be the whole point of Tish, in terms of this being an opportunity for Rebecca to see some things more clearly.
Rebecca and Ted:
OK, my brain is full of all the stuff I just talked about, but my brain is mostly full of that hallway scene. Yeah.
If it mattered less, I could………………[you know how this one goes]

hey just wondering why you think Roy reuniting w Keeley post s3 would’ve been bad for him? I sort of agree but also don’t want to bash keeley in anyway so I haven’t talked about it
Heya! Thanks for the ask and sorry you feel like you can't discuss something though I do understand why. I'll preface this by repeating something I've said before - canon did such a horrible job of holding Keeley accountable for anything and wrote her as if she could do no wrong and fandom seems to have picked that up and totally ran with it.
I do love that when reading RoyJamie fanfic, I never see Keeley bashing, as you call it, because vilifying female chatacters is such common practice in fandoms. But Ted Lasso fandom seems to swing to the other extreme where I've never even read a fic where Keeley apologises for something? And you can't even quite blame the fans, they just picked what canon put down - Keeley can do no wrong.
So, first of all, I think simply judging Keeley's actions is not bashing at all, it's just treating her the way every character BUT her is treated in both fandom and show. I think Keeley, like almost every other character, has made plenty of bad decisions and mistakes and, personally, how I react to them is a mix of how well I can relate to her and something else. Jack, for example, was a very professionally questionable decision but I completely sympathise with Keeley for it because 1) she faced consequences for her mistake even if it's never acknowledged that she made one and 2) I can relate to it! Hiring Shandy on the other hand was such a monumentally stupid decision that I could never relate to, so it just makes me annoyed with Keeley and the fact that the show treated it as her just being too sweet and wanting to give another horribly unqualified woman a chance rather than as a point towards her lack of professional skills.
Anyway!! The something else is important for my answer. As much as I love discussing my favourite shows and try to be objective, I very rarely am. Once I pick a favourite character, my opinion of almost every other character is informed by how they treat my favouriteTM. Is that fair? No. Do I do it without fail? Yes. Do I feel bad for it? Umm, no, that's my baby, nobody is allowed to be mean to them xD
And this is how we get to the Roy Kent of it all (finally! christ, this is gonna be long, sorry but also thanks!). Roy's my favourite, my baby, my grumpy, old, emotionally constipated and physically aching romantic. Roy can and has done wrong, I'd never claim otherwise. But I'd still claim he's the best chatacter and one of the best people on the show. And he's always gonna put himself last on his list of priorities.
Which is why I fully admit that I judge Keeley extra harshly when it comes to her and Roy. For brief context - I totally shipped Roy and Keeley and think they were good for each other, for the most part, in s1, I was ecstatic they were together in s2 and still shipped them like hell on my first watch (which was binged with s1!) and less and less on every consequent rewatch, part of me still wanted them to be together and then to get back together in s3 until I actually watched it all and completely changed my mind.
Shall I finally answer your question? I don't think Roy should reunite with Keeley because he gives too much of himself and she gives too little. I don't believe they are well balanced and I dont believe he'd feel loved with her again.
That WAS brief! But if you'd like more detail...
I think as sweet and good-hearted as she's portraited, Keeley is inherently a selfish person. Now, we circle back to bashing and judging. I'm doing neither. I'm myself a selfish person in many ways, that's not the worst thing to be in some regards. But I think Keeley is especially selfish in her romantic relationships and that simply does not suit someone like Roy. When paired with a selfish partner, Roy would just give and give and blame himself for not getting as much back.
I'm not saying there haven't been some great moments between Roy and Keeley, full of affection and care from Keeley, such as the scene at the end of s1. That's probably my favourite moment of theirs. But there have been some pretty shit ones too that for me outweigh the good and, more importantly, came once they settle into the relationship.
As early as their first kiss, Keeley got so annoyed and impatient, she immediately slept with Jamie. I know the show took it as an opportunity to have a kinda feminist moment but can you picture that turned around? Roy and Keeley kiss after tons of flirting and build up, and the day after Roy sleeps with a girl Keeley has a proper (however childish) feud with just cuz she told him she was busy that night. That would've never been fine. Again, I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm saying it's the response of a person who only cares about what they want and doesn't plan for the future.
Then, we have the infamous "Roy is a fridge magnet" episode which I still can't wrap my mind around so gimme a sec here. Your boyfriend is too into you, is perfect (by Keeley's own words) but not giving you the space you haven't asked for. So, instead of talking to him - don't even get me started on people writing Keeley as a character who's good as communicating - girl, where?? - you talk about it to his boss, a bunch of his coworkers and your ex who has an antagonistic relationship with him, and eventually as you're spending time together and he's trying to share one of his interests with you, you start screaming bloody murder at him about how clingy he is. Do I have that all correct? All of this would have been forgivable ofc, miscommunication happens, people aren't perfect, etc, etc, expect... forgiveness was asked by the wrong person. What on earth did Roy have to apologise for? This is the #1 example for me of that show trying so hard to make Keeley a perfect sunshine girl boss that they made 0 narrative or even logical sense. Honestly I hate that whole episode with a fiery passion.
Then we have the funeral shenanigans, which I won't even get into because I think Roy was 100% hilarious in that and Keeley was 100% overreacting (and yes, that's a heavy term to use towards a woman but here's the thing... she was). I guess this would be a good place to talk about their ILYs as well. Roy's ILYs always come with an acknowledgement of Keeley's feelings and his own fault for hurting them in anyway. Keeley's first ILY though has absolutely nothing to do with Roy. She's happy about her own success and he's celebrating her. That's it. That's the first time we see her say I love you. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Roy's aren't better but I think that just proves why he couldn't be happy with Keeley. Every time he's said ILY, it's been tinged with sadness and guilt and self-incrimination. Why would I want him to be with someone who constantly inspires those feelings in him?
This is now definitely too long so I'll try to wrap up with s3 very quickly and mainly the fact that the episode Keeley is drinking alone in the pub is one of the only ones where Keeley faces consequence for her actions (in this case, sleeping with her boss - again, not something I blame or begrudge her for but also something she should've probably considered can get her funding pulled when it ends, see: never thinking about the future (and why I don't see Keeley being successful without people like Barbara or Rebecca but thats a different topic)). Keeley responds to being made to face the music by using Roy to make herself feel better. I'm sorry but there's no other interpretation of their hook up for me. He's just read her a very heartfelt apology, ending with another guilt ridden ILY and then he was leaving. Except she chased him down, not to say it back ofc, but to use him for sex.
Thanks, I hate it.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to the fact that I think Roy was right to break up with Keeley. Not because she's not a great catch and not because there was anything wrong with her being successful or needing time for herself but because they're not right for each other. Roy is too selfless and ready to blame himself for everything and Keeley is too focused on herself and ready to take advantage of that.
Roy is the kind of romantic that would tell his cabbie to date his wife and compose a playlist for the girlfriend who treated him horribly yesterday. He's the kind of guy that's had to bottle up all his emotions forever and never talks about himself with people and has had his fucking watch stolen by his fucking hook ups. He deserves someone *cough*Jamie*cough* who is absolutely obsessed with him! Who will appreciate the things he does for them and the time he spends with them rather than take them for granted at best and be annoyed at worst. Who will make him feel like he's been struck by lightning! He deserve someone who cares about his feeling and frankly, in season 3 at least, I don't think that's Keeley or should be again.

The Betrayal of Ted Lasso S3
Yea. The title is a bit dramatic but I have been one of those people who will defend the Shandy and Zava arcs. I thought everything had a purpose, but really really this season felt like a turn, and part of it felt like the plot belonged in a different show...
They keep saying this was the three season arc they planned. But this felt very rushed, and wrapped all these plots up too neatly too quickly. Ted was reduced to a manic pixie dream girl floating in and out of peoples lives teaching them about love, forgiveness, and to believe.
Lets start with my least favorite thing in the finale. Reducing the Jamie/Keeley/Roy story to a fist fight and a "choose me over him" arc. Belonged in a different show. Pheobe said it best in the first episode "Why are you breaking up?" Nothing they did this season was better because of the Roy x Keeley breakup. Even Keeley's bi arc. Like she has always been implied bi, so they could have just made it clear with Jack being an ex that resurfaced instead of a new relationship. Imagine the version of the KJPR plot with Jack being an ex. No out of date leaked nudes plot. Roy can be jealous because he thinks maybe Keeley does want to get back with this ex, but he sees that is his problem not hers and works on it internally/with Dr. Sharon. And Keeley can think Jack is just trying to help and apologize for the mistakes she made in their relationship, but soon its clear Jack wants to get Keeley back by funding her business and then pulling her funding when things don't go her way. This leaves Keeley wondering if she ever had any value as a business woman and Rebecca and Roy are there to support her. Rebecca as a friend and financial backer and Roy as a supportive BF. Then Keeley can return the favor supporting Rebecca when she is deciding to sell the club or not, and Roy when he is promoted to manager.
The leaked nudes plot belonged on a show that came out like five/six years ago when society first started to shift and see that the celebrities were the victims. I understand it was a true story from the real Keeley, but seriously it dated a show that could have been pretty universal otherwise. I know they deal with issues like racism and homophobia but those things aren't going anywhere. We have to keep fighting, but those people always exist. Meanwhile the nudes thing has seen a pretty quick shift already. They built Shandy up as this vengeful character, Why didn't they have her do something to try and blow up Keeley's business? Even something simple like an attempt at wrongful termination? Shandy could have posted on her socials and been like "Keeley Jones claims shes for women but she fired me for no reason" got a bunch 'eat the rich' activists on her side since Keeley is backed by a billionaire and caused a lot of problems for the PR firm in the press.
Jamie reconnecting with his abusive parent. Honestly this did feel in place for a show thats all about forgiveness. But the more we learned about him the more he felt worse than Rupert. Absolutely awful. A better ending would have been his death and Jamie coping with the conflicted feelings he has vs the sadness he is expected to show by the media. Or even just letting Jamie move on. "I don't need him. I have a great mom, team, friends, and step dad/mom's bf" (I can't remember if they were married or not lol).
Nate simply quitting off screen and then being welcomed back like it was nothing. Belonged on another show. This one's been talked to death but I'll say it anyway. We see Rupert try to push a boundary and Nate left the bad situation and then fast forward, Nate quits and Rupert is being accused of impropriety. The start of the season was so focused on Nate being an ass to the West Ham players and then they just brush that under and rush him coming back? I didn't need a redemption arc. I liked the apology to Will and Ted's speech to Beard. But I did need to see the moments with Nate's choices. Nate made zero on screen choices this season. I mean even coming back was influenced by Jade.
Jade suddenly liking Nate, belonged on a different show. Okay I didn't hate Jade. I didn't hate that she started to date Nate. I think its weird the writers wrote a possibly racist character and then didn't address it but I guess the white af writers room just didn't get it. But I also liked Jade, Nate needed a no nonsense strong person in his life. I feel like his sister could have filled the role a bit better. But the girlfriend route wasn't bad.
Rebecca and the Amsterdam guy belonged in a rom com. Yea it worked a bit since Ted's whole rom com speech. But still, part of what I liked about the Amsterdam plot was that he was a great guy and a great time and then he was just gone. A happy memory to look back on and nothing more. It was so stupid that she randomly ran into him and they just magically got together. With Rebecca's romantic past ruined by Rupert's behavior. And the Sam relationship being kinda cute kinda doomed boss/employee weirdness it felt like Amsterdam guy was the true rebound she needed to move on and start a new path. Rebecca didn't need an endgame romance imo, she needed a fresh start. While I think she should have sold the whole club and moved on from the Rupert chapter of her life, I didn't hate the selling it to the fans thing. That was a decent way to end her journey. If they wanted her to have an endgame romance why not let the fans get to know the guy? Or flash forward to a guy we have never met implying that she eventually found someone?
Rupert hitting the coach also belonged on another show. Rupert is the guy who has everything work out for him. He's cool and collected and confident. Pushing the guy who wouldn't listen to him didn't seem like a Rupert move. Rupert would have fired him and promoted the guy under him. The big change would be if they had that guy quit and then the next guy quit until Rupert was left with no one. Could have also gone back to the Nate thing. If Nate leaving the toxic environment inspired others to do the same. Rupert publicly loosing his cool might have been fun since hes the worst, but it was too neat a wrapped bow.
Beard and Jane. Why did they literally only tell us everything bad about her if they wanted us to root for them? I'm sure she had some good qualities we could have seen. I did like that Beard was the character that got the ending rom com 'stop the plane' moment.
Colin's coming out. I could have done with less Isaac and more Trent or even less angry Isaac and more supportive Isaac but I liked it overall ngl. The kiss in the final episode was the best romantic moment in all of Ted Lasso. My canon favorite ship was RoyxKeeley but they never had a moment I could turn to. This was perfect and Colin was the best character for it.
The Van Damme thing was dumb. The joke about the mask making him 'Zorro' was dumb. I assume they were making fun of Ron Artest/Metta World Peace/Metta Sandiford-Artest but Zoreaux didn't need that. And it was funny for like one month in 2011, get over it.
Ted. Oh sweet Ted. I loved his talk with Trent about changing the name of the book because its not about him, and Trent taking that note but no others. At the end of the day, Ted's whole thing this season is Jason Sudeikis's whole thing in real life. He has a work family in London but his kids and ex in America. He's still low key in love with his ex and doesn't like the new relationship she's in and even though the new relationship ends pretty quickly it still sucks. And that is exactly what ruined the show. I'm sorry Jason is sad, I get people work through their problems in their art. But what a very emotional Jason sees as a good ending for Jason, is not a good ending for Ted. Ted Lasso the character deserved to decide to report Dr. Jacob (sorry Jason you can't report Harry Styles, he didn't do anything unethical... except maybe spit on Chris Pine...). Ted Lasso deserved a solid relationship with his son and a new partner, whoever you ship him with could work. I mean Sassy could have reported Dr. Jacob and told Ted maybe they could make it work since she is spending some time in the US for work. Or Rebecca with her millions saying she can commute as much as they want. Or a third new person in Kansas. The way the show implied Michelle is single and Ted is single. The 'they are getting along' narrative was a bit much.
The dream ending. Yes Bill Lawrence, this worked for Scrubs because JD was a character constantly fantasizing. But thats not Ted Lasso. This show deserved something more unique and more open ended. The final shot could have been Ted on the plane, smiling and that would beat the weird dream flash forward imo.
Yes the show has a central theme about forgiveness. But in previous seasons the person being forgiven earns that forgiveness. Here it was handed out to everyone regardless of who they hurt and what they did. It undermined Rebecca's s1 arc, Nate's multi season arc, Jamie's multi season arc, etc. The only arc that wasn't undermined was maybe Roy, since he ended up in therapy and actively trying to be better. So I guess good for Roy?
Overall my point is Ted Lasso was special because they marched to a positive and hopeful beat while still discussing hard topics. This season took everything special about the show and garbaged it, creating a messy, bland, and insulting final product that was a shell of the show they created. And they managed to do it in three seasons. Congrats guys? I mean most shows take 5-6 seasons to get truly off the rails.

I'm just hoping for some mistletoe
Day eight of the Advent calendar! Using this list. Day 8: Under the Mistletoe Fandom: Ted Lasso - Pairing: RoyJamie 1.2k[Ao3]
“Ayyy!” A cheer went up from all the greyhounds as Moe and Declan kissed in the middle of the dressing room, the team stamping their feet and pumping their fists.
“There’s no way this isn’t an HR violation,” Roy noted, glaring mistrustfully at the innocuous white berried plant hanging from the ceiling.
Beard’s expression didn’t change, standing next to Roy in the coach’s office and watching them through the window. “It’s not compulsory. Smooching is strictly up to player discretion.”
Roy grunted. “Yeah, but what about fucking peer pressure? This bunch of idiots would do anything for each other.”
“Well it’s all about mutual respect and trust, isn’t it?” Nate said from his other side. “They all trust each other to know it’s not that serious and respect each other enough not too push too far. I don’t think Isaac’s kissed anyone, nor Paul or Jeff, out of respect for their wives.” He shrugged. “The team seem fine with it.”
Roy growled, mildly.
“I got caught under there with Jan,” Beard commented. “Surprisingly gentle.”
Roy turned to look at him fully, his face screwed up with outrage. “What, they expect us to participate?”
“Mistletoe is rated E for everyone,” Beard noted. “Consenting, of course.”
“Well I don’t consent. I’m not doing it.”
“Okay.”
“I’m too old for this shit.”
“Sure.”
“And too Jewish! Why should I subscribe to your Christian centric traditions?”
“Fair point, Mr. Kent.”
Roy glared at him. Beard’s expression still gave nothing away but Roy could tell he was amused. He turned his gare on Nate who looked back up at him innocently.
“Fuck off,” he barked at both of them before slamming into the locker room and yelling at everyone to get on the pitch.
Roy suffers through watching most of his team kiss under that fucking mistletoe over the following weeks. There was Richard and Thierry, Kyle and Dani, O’briend and Robbie, Colin and Jamie, Sam and Jamie, Will and Jamie.
Jamie spent a lot of time under the mistletoe.
“S’just fun, innit?” Jamie said one evening when Roy hadn’t quite asked about it. “I love the lads. Love kissing.” He shrugged. “Feels like a win-win.”
Roy grunted.
Jamie continued to hum, unbothered, as his feet kicked back against Roy’s cabinets. “He was sat on the counter next to the stove as Roy cooked, being a general nuisance. Roy doesn’t know why he doesn’t kick him out – he’d never invited Jamie over for dinner. Jamie just showed up one day and Roy fed him. And he’d kept showing up and Roy had kept feeding him. It was mad.
“I’m pretty sure Jack is Jewish,” Jamie said. abruptly. “and he definitely kissed Tommy the other day when they got caught in it.”
“Okay?” Roy said, flummoxed.
“I’m just sayin’” Jamie said, watching his finger trace idly over the counter next to his hip. “You’ve been avoiding it like the plague it seems like and Beard said you objected on religious grounds.”
Roy’s eyebrows hiked up. “You asked Beard? Why I haven’t kissed anyone?”
“Well, no. Kind of.” Jamie’s brows furrowed. “I was talking to Sam and Will overheard and said the coaches were talking about it and then Beard just kind of appeared like the creepy cryptic shit he is.”
Roy grunted. Yeah, that sounded about right.
“And then I guess I asked him, yeah. And he said you said you were too Jewish.”
“I did say that,” Roy told him, watching as Jamie nodded in disappointed understanding.
Roy paused, not sure if he wanted to ask the next question, but needing to know the answer.
“Why were you and Sam talking about me.”
Jamie’s cheeks went red, the blush going down his neck and disappearing down his collar. “Nothing, mind your business, grandad.”
Roy put down his spoon. The sauce could simmer for a bit while he dealt with this.
He leaned back against the island counter opposite the sulking footballer on his counter. “Jamie?”
Jamie sighed, turning his head to face Roy.
“Sam asked me why I hung out so much under the mistletoe. I told him I was just waiting for you to wander close enough.”
Jamie sat there, chin jutted out, defiant and scared. He kept full eye contact with Roy during his confession but, hey. no one had ever said the little prick was lacking in courage.
Roy took a step toward him, uncrossing his arms. “So you were just going to ambush me into kissing you?”
Jamie rolled his eyes. “I wasn’t gonna assault you or nothin. Just thought maybe you needed inventive or something. Plausible deniability or whatever.”
“Incentive,” Roy corrected, gruffly and automatically. He took another step forward, hand on Jamie’s knee. “You think I’d need mistletoe as an excuse to kiss you? Like I don’t know I could have kissed you any time I wanted?”
“Well you haven’t yet,” Jamie said, bitchily. “Not sure what you’ve been waiting for, honestly.”
“Well who says I want to, Tartt?”roy asked, his voice low, as he stepped even closer, putting himself between Jamie’s spread thighs. “What makes you so special?”
Jamie spread his legs wider, making room for Roy and smirked, challengingly. “Please.”
And then Roy had to kiss him. Just to get that stupid smug look off his face.
Jamie didn’t hesitate to kiss him back, his hands immediately coming up to pull him in closer by his shoulders and grip onto his hair. His groan sounded a lot like ‘Finally’.
It went on for long enough for Roy to become familiar with what the back of Jamie’s teeth tasted like but Jamie still whined when he pulled away.
Roy laughed, dropping his forehead against Jamie’s. “Did you really think I was gonna do that in front of the whole team?”
“Well how was I supposed to know you’d kiss me like that?” Jamie grinned his shark grin. “I knew you were obsessed with me but fuck.”
“Prick,” Roy said, maybe a little fondly.
“Yup!” Jamie agreed brightly. “You should kiss me some more about it.”
Roy did. The sauce burned.
A couple weeks later, they were back in the locker room.
“Coach, can you come look at this for me?” Dani asked, beckoning Roy/
Roy grunted, meeting him by the benches and everyone started ooh-ing.
He looked up at the, startled, and saw that several of them were gesturing at the ceiling, where a little white berried plant hung.
“Fucking hell,” Roy cursed, glaring around at them. “It’s the tenth of January!”
“Yeah, weird that’s still up there.” Roy whirled around to see that Dani had vanished and Jamie now stood in his place, face overly casual and hands curled in the bottom of his shirt. He shrugged. “Nothing for it, though, is there?”
Roy raised an eyebrow at Jamie. Jamie raised an eyebrow back.
“I hate you,” Roy told him.
“Yeah?” Jamie grinned. “Show me how much.”
And Rolled his eyes, pulling Jamie in to kiss him. The team’s hooting and hollering didn’t stop for five full minutes.

Ted Lasso S3E8 We'll Never Have Paris - Thoughts on an eventful episode!!
*SPOILERS*
-I don't know what to feel about Nate and Jade's relationship but I love seeing Nate happy!
-Please God I hope the writers aren't setting up some elaborate Jack sabotaging Keeley arc..... I just have a bad feeling...
-"Is this a game or child labour?" "In late-stage capitalism, what's the difference? "Word."
-Roy calling the Diamond Dogs "a living fucking nightmare" while still being part of their meeting from the other room...typical!
-Trent's expression when Beard started barking was priceless!!
-Nate's dismal Diamond Dogs parallel the "Love Hounds" is so sad... please let him rejoin the Diamond Dogs... Nate needs a gossip circle!!!
-"Or, they go to see Oscar Wilde's grave" and "I didn't know Oscar Wilde was dead, some of his quotes feel so modern, so of our time"- there have been lots of Oscar Wilde references in this show... what are you saying with this Ted?
-Poor Keeley.. but some of the reddit usernames under the leaked video are killing me.. 'SendMeBigFilthyFeet6969.. AnonAndAnnoying00227... ScrappyDooEnthusiast1289.. and BringTheMayonoise_0327.... i mean come onn
-Jamie is still taking selfies in the locker room.. some things never change!
-"Do we delete our memories too?" "No, cause no one can steal your memories." Bumbercatch: "That's not entirely true." .... very mysterious..
-OH NOOO Isaac just got Colin's phone please my heart just dropped.... why am i so afraid for him ....Isaac is so nice.. what was that reaction... what was that ambiguous reaction??? ... did not expect That To Happen.
-Beard: "There is an immersive Jack the Ripper walking tour that Jane's been raving about. It's like, six hours long, and at one point, you get chased." Jane is an enigma.
-"This is my friend Keeley Jones".. OH DAMN SO EVERYONE'S GETTING EXPOSED THIS EPISODE!!
-ah to live in ted's idyllic neighbourhood where people sing and dance spontaneously and walk around the pristine streets kicking footballs
-Welll i guess that's the end of Jack and Keeley's relationship.. would've seen that coming if I hadn't deliberately ignored the 3000 signs in the last few episodes.
-Jamie having made his password 'password' is so accurate to the first season himbo version of him..

also also. a lot of people are coming at Shandy for being clueless and bad at her job (true) but ignoring that (and know that I say this with DEEP love & affection for her, truly) Keeley is also... kind of clueless and bad at her job?
I don't mean bad at every aspect, obviously she's great at running PR and she proved that by a tenfold during her time at Richmond. But she is categorically not being a great boss right now. She's certainly trying really hard, but she's overcompensating and flailing and the result is that everything is not going well.
Rebecca had to tell her what a CFO is, which means she doesn't understand (i.e., hasn't taken the time to understand) the roles of her employees; She literally did not know her boss'/financier's name or that she was a woman? What? She was more concerned that Jack see her as mysterious and interesting than you know, competent and a good employee. And yes, she hired Shandy without consulting anyone, but then she's not given Shandy the supervision and guidance she clearly needs. Why was Shandy thrown into that whole Bantr campaign all by herself? (And Shandy, by the way is also not bad at every aspect of her job. She was doing well at running the shoot. Presumably she got Zava to hype up Richmond a bit on his socials. She heard 'Bantr needs more subscribers' and ran with it, but she didn't understand the assignment when it backfired on her and it is kind of coming across as...Keeley didn't totally explain it to her?)
And again this is NOT a diss at Keeley or me trying to totally alleviate Shandy of blame for her very large and questionable fuckups. I think the idea is...they are both floundering because they are both lacking the belief and support of the people around them. Keeley, I think, is very paralyzed by imposter syndrome and feeling so out of her depth that she's just... given up on some aspects of her job. Obviously her coworkers dismissed her off the bat because of how she presents herself and how they equate that to her not being professional enough or smart enough etc. This is completely awful, but it does not negate the fact that just as they don't understand her, she doesn't understand them? And she hasn't been shown to make any real attempt at connecting with them in a meaningful way.
At Richmond, she had Rebecca's support every step of the way. Now, she is isolated. Not only at work, but also in her personal life. Her only friends are both coworkers (Rebecca & Shandy) and then there's her breakup with Roy, which she hasn't had time to fully process or come to terms with because of the job.
The theme seems to mimic what's going on at Richmond right now: we can't be our greatest selves on our own. We've got Roy isolating himself as a bad solution to his problems, Ted's once resounding belief in his team giving way to like, complete and total apathy, the team misplacing their belief entirely in Zava alone, Nate's mental health plummeting now that his only "support" is Rupert. And they're going to flounder like Keeley is floundering. Like Shandy is floundering and will continue to flounder as even Keeley's faith in her wains.
We need the people around us. We need their belief. In the end, coming together is obviously what's going to save the team, but I do think the same thing will happen for Keeley at her workplace. Things are definitely going to get worse with Shandy in the interim, but I hope in the end she is able to prove that Keeley's initial belief in her was not unfounded. Just as Keeley will start to build a new support system, with (hopefully) Jack, and reconnecting with Jamie and presumably Roy, and regain the belief in herself that allows her to believe and uplift the people around her, too.

Is it just me or does it feel like there are more charactera being queer coded in Ted Lasso than we could possibly hope are queer in a show like this?
Colin: Our first officially out bb! We love him!
Michael: we've only seen him on screen for a second but I love him already.
Kelley: Has always said a lot of things about finding women hot, which I always took as she's bi, but others have felt it was still unclear and the show's now hinting toward us being very right about it
Jack: literally everything about this character
Richard: only himbo who diffinitively knows what grindr is, and has actually said he's gay although it might have been a joke
Trent Crimm: I don't feel the need to explain this one, we all already know why
Baz: I genuinely don't know how to read that scene except that he was already dating or at the very least interested in the man who showed up at the pub
Roy's niece: the drawings
Roy: I mean his head lamp sure did give away exactly where he was looking
Jaimie: also maybe knows what grindr is, and is going through some type of self-awakening
Ted: definitely too hopeful on this one, but it just really feels like there's more here
But that's many people. And like most of the mains. If even half are right that's still SO MANY. But it feels like too many to hope for. There's no way. But it's making me question every character and how much rep we're actually going to get. Maybe Colin's the only one and everyone else is just really secure in their sexuality and I'm reading way too much into it...
Basically are we being setup for a massive queer storyline or do I need to put the clown makeup back on?

okay obviously roy’s question to keeley in this week’s episode was all kinds of inappropriate and invasive. personally it did feel very out of character, and the storytelling on the roy and keeley front has been very off through this season so far. but I’ve been thinking about the audience response to it as the reactions and tweets have been rolling in and it’s worth noting the difference in how roy and jamie are treated as characters right now
what is so appealing to many about jamie is that he began the show as the obvious antagonist. he wasn’t the villain exactly, but ted lasso is a show that doesn’t exactly have a main villain besides maybe rupert— and even then, he’s mainly just the team’s opposition and rebecca’s enemy. the true “villains” in this show, to me, are the cultures and mindsets that we all fall into. the trap of vengeance and retributive justice, locker room culture, bullying, toxic masculinity and its expectations, insecurity, etc. and I could go into all that another day. but I digress.
jamie had the potential to be the show’s antagonist. they could have very well stuck him in the role of bully and kept him there, but they didn’t. they allowed him nuance, they gave him the grace and leeway to grow and evolve into the lovable himbo that he is today. and now that he’s put in that work that was so hard to get him to do inthe first place, he’s sitting comfortably in that evolved state.
roy is not like that. he’s a character who made some sizeable strides of growth very early on in the show, and who then made a few missteps along the way. he’s a character who retreats back into an older version of himself for self-preservation, and though it isn’t right and results in him making significant mistakes, he’s ultimately the kind of man who can recognize when he does fuck up and will make things right. we haven’t forgotten that, have we?
my point is, roy is a character whose growth is not linear or simple. jamie is. and that’s not me saying jamie is a basic character or without nuance because he has his complexity. I know that and enjoy it thoroughly. but his arc was a very straightforward narrative and I think that’s part of why so many people like him. it’s a very easy tale to love, with a before and an after.
roy, as of right now, just isn’t like that. he is at his most insecure, his most closed off, and his most wounded. he’s reverted slightly, in the midst of a character regression due to the pain he’s felt and the anxieties he has. and it’s making him do stupid things (or ask stupid questions) especially because no one has been seen to really help him snap tf out of it. now of course he has to be the one to hold himself accountable and be the man keeley deserves and let go of his insecurities controlling his life and his actions, and many of those steps he has to take on his own. but damn, it’s sad to see so many people straight up quit on roy as a character after having done a bad thing. progress is not always linear! just cause he screwed the pooch on this one doesn’t mean he can’t get back to who he really is and earn back keeley through redemption. this whole show is about radical empathy and reconciliation, for crying out loud! falling into this trap of “who’s the better person” and “who deserves keeley” denies these characters the very fundamental idea that people don’t come with a predetermined set of what they do or don’t deserve, because we are all capable of change. if it were true, jamie would deserve to be stuck on love island for harassing sam in season 1 or ruining nate’s suggestion box.
anyway, TLDR: we can acknowledge that roy was entirely wrong and inappropriate to ask that question while also not entirely surrendering hope for him to fix his mistake. instead, we can acknowledge it for what it really is, which is a shit writing choice by people who are fumbling the bag on the roy/keeley/jamie/jack aspect of the season tremendously

Lunchtime, on a Wednesday
Ted Lasso | Roy/Jamie | E | 2100ish words
Lunchtime on a Wednesday is an odd time to see someone skipping off down the Richmond corridors, all chipper and smiley like, but Keeley’s doing it anyway.
Jamie’s first thought is she doesn’t even properly work here any more. His second is a more abstract contemplation of why she’s so cheery. On a Wednesday. At lunchtime.
“What the fuck’s got her all upbeat?” It’s an unmistakable and loud grumble that makes Jamie twitch in surprise.
“Jesus, Roy, warn a fella before you sneak up on him won’t you?” Jamie says, over the top of Rebecca, who’s tapping away at her phone as she walks in the other direction. Date with Jack. He’d swear she just said Keeley’s got a date with Jack.
Jamie turns slowly on his heels as Rebecca clip clops past in her impossibly high heels.
“I’m sorry… Rebecca?” He calls out after her. “Did you just say Keeley’s going on a date with Jack?”
Rebecca turns around with raised eyebrows, and that toothy half smile she does when she’s about to ask you if you’re stupid.
The half smile turns pained when a penny seems to drop, and instead of a slightly patronising response, Rebecca comes back with “Oh, shit.”

I feel like we all moved on a little too quickly from Keeley’s Pretty Woman looks
Not only did the costume designer and Juno absolutely kill these looks, I think it added a beautiful element to the storytelling.
The first outfit, was the most obvious, being the polo match outfit. I feel like a lot of people picked out similar elements between Keeley / Jack’s relationship and Vivian / Edward’s especially within S3E8. I can go more into detail about that (and I will if people want) but I wanted to talk more about how Keeley also related to the themes of Pretty Woman outside of her relationship with Jack.
Let’s break down some of those themes:
1.) Vivian hated her job, but used the skills she learned on the job to put herself in better situations, and in the end she left the job she hated because she knew she could do more. She knew she could be more. When we first met Keeley, she was in a job she didn’t particularly enjoy, but it was all that she knew. [Famous for almost being famous. When I was 18 I dated a 23- year-old footballer and now I’m nearing 30 and I’m still dating a 23-year-old footballer.] Maybe she stayed because she thought that’s all she could be, that’s all she was worth. Keeley learned things from her time as a model and put it towards changing her life path, she realized she could be more and that she deserved more.
2.) Vivian taught us never to judge someone by the clothes they wear and Keeley has always been underestimated especially because of her appearance. Many people think someone who looks, talks, and dresses like Keeley can’t be intelligent or some kind of business person. I can’t pin point the episode off the top of my head but when Keeley came in for her first day at Richmond she had a fluffy pen and a unicorn notebook that Rebecca (lovingly) questioned. Vivian and Keeley both go against the system and dress how they want to and are still authentically themselves while simultaneously acting as strong and intelligent women.
3.) In Pretty Woman, Vivian knew her worth, eventually. At first she put a price on herself that Edward thought was too low. After this she started to reevaluate her worth and how she saw herself. Outside of that first night, she never sold herself short and never compromised herself for the sake of someone else. Vivian wanted her fairytale and wasn’t going to settle for anything short of it. In Ted Lasso S3E8, we see Jack wanting Keeley to release a statement about the leak that basically accepts the fault and says that what she did was wrong. We also see Jack start to slut shame Keeley in a sense when Keeley said she wouldn’t apologize. In this moment, when Keeley refuses to apologize, she knows her worth. She is not going to compromise herself for the sake of someone else.
4.) My last parallel (for now?) and possibly my most important is the fact that just because someone says something, doesn’t mean it’s true. In Pretty Woman, Vivian tells Edward that people are cruel and when “people put you down enough, you start to believe it.” When we first met Keeley she was in a relationship with Jamie, then right after Jamie she started dating Roy, and then she started dating Jack. Each one of these relationships ended in a break up that made Keeley look back at herself and wonder if she was the problem or maybe she wasn’t enough. (because it had happened enough times) We see Roy tell Keeley that no matter how he acted it had no reflection on her, because she had been and will always be “Keeley fucking Jones.” Which is why I think that the whole “people put you down enough, you start to believe it” piece is very relevant and important to look at.
Anyway, I’m sure there’s more connections but that’s all I can dive into now. Also, I’m not always great at words and I just wanted to put this out there quickly so I apologize if it’s all over the place. Btw, Keeley fucking Jones will forever have my heart.

Ted Lasso Wish List for S3E9-E12
(In no particular order)
Phoebe: I’ll be happy to see her again at all, but I want her adopt Jamie as her new cousin. We all know he would absolutely slay at Princess and Dragon.
Dump Jane, Coach!: For good. Even if it’s offscreen and mentioned in passing.
Trent Crimm’s Daughter: Now, please. I need to see AFC Richmond turning into a bunch of softies like they do for Henry.
Colin and Isaac BFFs: I am still beside myself over E8. If they break up as friends for good, I will have no faith left in humanity. My darling fashion-challenged boys, get your shit together and fix this.
Jamie’s Mum: I don’t even need to see her on screen - just assure me she did everything she could to kick James Sr to the curb, keep her kid as far away from him as she was legally allowed, and tell me her fate.
More Bumbercatch: That chaotic little gremlin has said the wildest shit in passing this season and I never want it to end.
Roy’s Sister.: Even if it’s just once, to make a cheeky joke at Roy’s expense, I need to meet her.
Dump Jack, Keeley!: She treats Keeley like a pet or a novelty, not a partner or a person. She doesn’t even trust Keeley to hire her own office staff or write her own PR statement.
A Full Pack of Diamond Dogs: Ted, Beard, Higgins, Trent, and Roy, not just occasionally swearing from his office, but talking about his actual feeling.
Will someone please tell Jamie why he was really sent back to Man City?: They don’t even need to be specific - just let that poor boy know his coaches/dads really did want him around and it wasn’t his fault.
Rebecca gets to be a mum.: I don’t care if Sassy dies and she ends up with Nora or she hooks up with Ted and becomes Henry’s bonus mum or adopts an orphan or just figures out she already has a couple dozen very sweet, very dim sons - give my girl her one true wish.
Dump Dr Jacob, Michelle!: I don’t care that she’s got a boyfriend, but I very much care he was her ex-therapist. Your man is deeply unethical at best and creepy and malicious at worst.
The Family Higgins!: Even if it’s just Julie that makes a return, I’ll be happy to see any and all of their lovely faces.
Miscellaneous Himbo Shenanigans: All specific himbo-related requests are listed above. I just want as much of our sweet summer children being good friends and ridiculous humans as we can get.
And, the one which absolutely will not happen, but God I’d love it:
Bex gets West Ham in the divorce.: Series ends with her redecorating Rupert’s office just like Rebecca did is S1E1.

3x10, a mix of everything, part 2.
Tumblr media
Rebecca is Keeley's best friend. and Jack is a fucking liar. what the hell is going on this season? especially with Keeley's plotline?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Roy & Keeley holding hands and Jamie walking in the room? hello?
on the other point, Keeley deserves better than constantly pushing people around her on their way to growth. first Jamie (which, fine, it was necessary and he did all the work by himself and came out beautifully). then Roy (that I presume will realise his mistake and will become better and such). still, can Keeley finally have some happiness and sense of confidence and self-worth that doesn't depend on her love life and personal relationships?
people keep thinking about Jamie being the matchmaker for ot3, but to me rn it looks like it's gonna be Keeley. and i'm not sure if I like that they're using a woman to do that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is nice. I like this. Something about Keeley being Richmond's football team best friend and finally making it to Mae (while Ted and Beard been visiting her place since the day they arrived to UK).
Red Right hand while Roy walks in the building? I have Peaky Blinders flashbacks. an interesting use of that song, for sure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I want what Ted and Beard have.
Tumblr media
same, Trent, same. maybe this is gonna be Roy's colorful awakening era.
Tumblr media
somebody save them.
Tumblr media
it's not the first time we see Isaac with an earring, but we don't label him bisexual the way we do with Jamie. it's the attitude, really.
Tumblr media
this is not even funny. how are they not supposed to be romantic? how? i don't even ship them you just rub this under my nose. platonic after the matchbook and supposed to be a mother? what IS this? i seriously have questions to the writers. can they make up their mind? bc one is gives to her by an ex lover and one is given to her by, according to writers, her brother from another mother. all i keep seeing is how they keep connecting Ted and Rebecca and not in a platonic way. there's no romantic chemistry between them for me, especially this season, but hello???? WHAT? IS? THIS? what are they trying to achieve?
Tumblr media
you tell them.
Tumblr media
rainbow <3
Tumblr media
oh, don't start with that, as if it sends Roy on some righteous path back to Keeley. "hope it didn't cost too much" i'm so tired of that plotline.
Tumblr media
Keeley is such a sweetheart and deserves so much better.
Tumblr media
this is so bad. i feel for Rebecca.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh, fuck off. not a good look is a room full of rich men that can make an influence but choose not to. even decide to charge more. and if we're talking politics for some reason, have you also seen other nations' government? even the mess that happens in UK, where you live? seriously, fuck off and take P*tin with you, maybe then it'll start looking better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she learned that from Trent & you can't convince me otherwise. i LOVE the parallel. QUEEN.
Tumblr media
POV: you're an only woman in the room of white rich old cis men and a black one. ew.
Tumblr media
she gets it now. the power of Ted Lasso and Coach Beard.
i'm not sure what they're doing there with Rupert. redemption arc through Rebecca's words? why? forgiveness? also why? Rupert and Rebecca laughing together? what is going onnn??? AND then Rebecca hanging back Hockney aka the drawing Rupert gifted her? i'm confused.
Tumblr media
"we just borrow them for a while" hello?? they keep connecting Rebecca to Ted???
i was screaming a lot of NO's as Rupert went for a kiss. I'm glad Rebecca stopped it. i was seriously scared for that moment. what a shitty person he is. you can never have that wonderful woman again. suffer and die in suffering, bitch.
Tumblr media
no way Keeley has a glass wall in her bathroom???? also, what's with both of her exes coming to her house instead of calling, texting and facing her face to face? why ot3 if not ot3?
Tumblr media
*peels my face off with skin and muscle* if you're not adding Jamie to that, I swear to the Outsider—
Tumblr media
hell yeah <3
Tumblr media
you suuuure?

Ted Lasso 3.10 live blog...
Ooh, I knew Nate would lose something with that choice to defy Rupert... has he departed on his own terms or was he fired?
Love Sky Sports doing the exposition, though.
Ted: "Bumbercatch, you're Swiss?" Moe: "Yeah, look at me."
"Godspeed, or whatever your deity chooses to self-medicate with." - I'll have to remember that one.
LOL... Dani is a completely different person when he's playing for his country. Love it.
tedbecca... NOT talking about periods. :D
Oh, there's added Trent, who is excellent at girl talk.
DON'T BE INVOLVED IN A SUPER LEAGUE! IT'S WHAT DESTROYED AUSTRALIA'S RUGBY LEAGUE CODE!
Rebecca has Rupie down as "The Devil".
Nate: "Am I an idiot?" Jade: "Sometimes, yes."
Oh, he quit. Good.
And... yep. Jack's revenge or something. This has been a let down of a storyline for Keeley. Only good part of it is Barbara.
Why you wearing red again Ted? Is it another String of Fate episode?
Go away, Rupert!
YAY PHOEBE'S MOM IS THE SAME DOCTOR AS FROM "MAN CITY”!
And... wait, Jamie's here? Oh, Roy talks about him all the time?
Wait... the shirt is tiny. Did Roy just fill out more? Or was there laundry-related shrinkage involved?
Honestly, I do love seeing Roy dumbfounded.
Jamie: "Your sister is fit." Roy: "I will cut your eyes out." *Jamie laughs*
Edwin Akufo does revenge too.
Billionaires be crazy.
Aw, Keeley... going through the motions of losing your job.
Higgins with the hot tea in his lap again... I don't think he's having any more kids.
A Mae & Keeley scene. We've never had one of those before, have we? Ooh, this is quite interesting. And informative... and this is the last season or is a 4th likely? Because I needs me some more Mae&Keeley time.
LIGHTNING, YOU SAY?
ROY'S WALKING IN WITH HIS SHIRT FROM PHOEBE, ISN'T HE? BRILLIANT.
Laughing Liam!
Text from Rebecca: "Are you alive? Text 'no' if dead." IDK but that sounds like a thing Ted might say.
Mexico vs Canada... Dani, wow. I hope you're super apologetic later.
WELL... THERE'S THE CLEAREST SIGN I'VE EVER SEEN. GREEN MATCHBOOK AND GREEN SOLDIER. I think we were right tedbecca fandom... *squees*
Roy's had enough of the tie-dye now that Keith is sporting one too.
Hey, now. You don't just ditch a Phoebe present. There's a good lad. Come back for it.
Rebecca gearing herself up for this meeting, and... little girl! I wonder if that's the "Dutch girl" from the callout being re-used for a much better purpose.
Roy wearing Phoebe's shirt at her school.
Ms Bowen: "I like cleaning up a mess. Hope it didn't cause too much damage." Roy: "Fuuuuuudddge."
Barbara in casual wear. "Juicy"... Now I really want my crackship of Jamie/Barbara.
60 quid snowglobe? Keeley.
Nate's... searching for who he used to be?
And Roy's buying something?
Oh... violin, Nate? I could never do the shaky hand thing. I was in an orchestra that had concerts - I was in first violins too! But I grew to hate playing it, so I stopped at 13yo. Moved onto clarinet... which was tough on my lips & lungs more than my arms & neck. Now can't play any instrument due to my disability. Piano maybe, if I had the energy.
Yay, Rebecca, with the voiceover! Also, she's completely right.
And... she somehow got through to Rupert. On this matter, anyway.
And... thank you Mr Shelley for FINALLY apologising. Nate'll be able to talk to Ted properly now (but I also need him to make amends with Will).
And... I knew Rupert would try that, but Rebecca has well & truly moved on from you Devil.
FINALLY ROY&KEELEY TIME.
Lovely apology letter, Roy. But, yeah, your hand-writing is... way too tiny.
Wait, Keeley's walking out of frame... to Roy?
Happy Shelley Family Time.
Change of outfit... who's at Keeley's door? REBECCA!
They talking, and talking, and... oh, Roy's there in a dressing gown. Guess they're back on.
Will! And... he's walking in to find everything's already done. I HOPE that's because Nate's done it for him & is making amends... But also, how did he get in there?
A bit of lavender on the note.
I understand he can't quite face him yet (or Ted for that matter)... but THANK YOU NATE.
AND BARBARA'S BACK!
And everyone's back... and Dani? Ok. No apologies there. He's just one of those Jekyll/Hyde characters.
Is that Keith's shirt, Roy?
AND... MORE TEDBECCA!
Sitting very close... and she's wearing PINK!
And then blasting tea at Ted's face like he did with the sparkling water at the end of s1.
Y'know, this means they've basically kissed now.
