i Very Rarely relate to characters in shows but i feel like geto is one of the exceptions hehehe i feel like our moral views align in a way which we both tried to believe and do what's "right" without much questioning at first and then suddenly got slapped in the face by the reality of what a 'society' entails 😀 so uh. similar thought processes and experiences during the whole ordeal of discovering the world sucks and there's no way to really fix it (without murder? dshkfsjd) him and i are one and the same minus the genocidal tendencies<33 i also feel like his personality is quite toned down and calm unless he's surrounded by people closest to him, which is very me!!!!!

hhghhgf hard question. i basically love it all but ill try to limit myself to one each

i love seeing lonely yuuji that's surrounded by people </33 in general that's such a real, painful, gorgeous, often overlooked aspect of being human, and it's often dismissed in everyday life bc 'U HAVE FRIENDS WDYM UR LONELY!' but anytime i see it written in fic the descriptions and the raw defeat and the pain just hit so hard, and it just matches the character of yuuji SO SO SO well. he's so open but he just Cant Seem To Get Close to people in Any Meaningful Way. oh my GODDDD it hurts So Bad but i adore it. it's my favourite thing to read. and special mention to loner yuuji who isnt surrounded by people too. lonely yuuji has his own reserved yuuji shaped spot in my heart

i feel like i love everything about yuuji's character so it's hard to pick a dislike 😭 i think it's more of a mischaracterisation than an authors creative choice, but i dont love it when yuuji is portrayed as sort of morally grey or slightly mean bc to me that's just not even him anymore sdjfhsdjhf yuuji is a ray of sunshine who does everything to make everyone else feel at ease!!!!!!! who r u writing bc that isnt him!!!!!

i love it when fics make him suffer :3 as if we dont have enough of that in the manga........but i truly feel megumi's character is a great vessel to use in order to explore deeply rooted trauma, crises and complex emotions - his philosophy already illustrates that he doesnt blindly follow the objective 'good' and he doesnt see the world as black and white, which points to him generally being more self-aware and thoughtful. i feel like this translates into a sort of 'open space' in his character to freely and deeply explore for example shame, societal pressures, lived trauma, guilt or some internal struggles etc, whereas for example yuuji would probably be slightly more in denial, which would mean the thought processes described would be less direct and harder to explore deeply imo. so basically megumi is the epitome of overthinking and i like seeing him suffer over it :3

for dislikes in fic uhmmmnnmmn. id say making him too sweet/nice/open? in my mind the core of his character is that he's sorta standoffish and distant and mean lmaoo so it's strange seeing him fold immediately and be super sweet; i like seeing the gradual trust building and eventually opening up a bit but still keeping his personality!! but that's just a personal preference and actually now that i think abt it it's not that it bothers me when i see it lmaooo i just prefer the latter

was born and raised in nyc baby ! she’s a true city girl, grew up in lower manhattan ( the financial district if u wanna get specific ) to a family with lots of $$$$ thanks to her father’s position as a ceo of an investment bank located on wall street 

life was pretty smooth until she was 17 and her father got arrested for embezzlement and fraud </3 it was actually a huge scandal for the investment bank he worked for because it was a whole group of higher ups who had been in on these crimes. basically a bunch of already rich men trying to get richer ... disgusting ik /: 

her life changed pretty drastically after that ! the hwang name was all over the news, their family was pretty much disgraced by high society in nyc, not a very fun time for anyone but especially not for violet’s mom 

after her dad got arrested violet was uhh high key furious with him for ruining their lives with his greed and she wanted nothing to do with him, but her mom couldnt let go. she was still defending him, spending the money they had left on lawyers which included the money the family had set aside for violet’s trust fund that she would have had access to once she was 18 </3

 so her plans for college changed pretty drastically JSDBJWBDJW ( goodbye ivy league education ) she actually ended up getting into the university of toronto for visual studies on an academic scholarship 

so she made the big move all on her own....moved into a tiny dorm...and vowed to reinvent herself. she didnt wanna be labeled as the daughter of a white collar criminal anymore so she just made it a point not to talk to much abt her past to anyone 

her struggles as someone who grew up with $$$$ turning into a broke college student made for some embarrassing but funny moments <3 luckily though everyone else had their own struggles so no one found it suspicious JSBDJWBDJ

when love alarm launched three years ago, violet had just started college so it was really the Big thing anyone and everyone was talking about. since she’d never been a fan of other dating apps, she wasn’t gonna download it but her roommate at the time convinced her ! at first it was fun, just something she didnt take too seriously 

fast forward to graduation and she’s snagged a job as an art director for a little local museum, doing freelance art directing on the side to help pay the bills. low and behold one day a photographer hires her to be the art director to a shoot they’re doing for a badge club member who was in a very high profile and public relationship at the time

violet ended up working with that photographer and badge club member a handful of times, enough for her to catch fee-🤢 catch feelin-🤢 i cant even say it .. she’d never rung anyone’s love alarm before, so of course her first time had to be with someone who was already taken </3 safe to say she ... freaked out 

she was embarrassed above all else, but also heartbroken bc in her head like ... why would someone who literally is part of an exclusive club based on ppl ringing their love alarm care that she rung theirs ? she didnt think it’d be a big deal to them the way it was to her ( but also didn’t stick around long enough to find out jsxbsjbdjw )

she comes across as ... kind of a bitch SDJBJWBJWBDW it’s truly not on purpose she just has a pretty serious resting expression most of the time ( so she looks mad or annoyed even when she isn’t ) and she’s pretty difficult to get to know ? not to mention the fact that no one has ever witnessed her ring someone’s love alarm .. so all that combined just makes it easy to assume she’s some sort of ice queen when that’s far from the truth /: 

violet really isn’t one to open up too deep to people, but that’s got a lot to do with the past she’s kind of running away from ! so if you’re her friend most of the stuff you know about her is probably surface stuff, but when she’s close to someone she can make that fact hard to realize ? she just has a way with making the people in her life feel important so it’s easy not to be focused on how much you know about her 

never bothers to correct the people that misjudge her. if you don’t like her, if you want to make up assumptions and rumors about her, go ahead like violet really won’t stop you which can sometimes make meeting new people difficult </3 if you’ve seen the dating class webdrama chuu was in she’s kinda like oh seyoung’s chara joowon 🤧

if she wants to, though, she’s pretty good at getting people to like her / trust her ! she does this a lot in professional situations, which is why she’s been doing so well as an art director so far despite being so young 

she’s also very loyal to her friends ! if you can’t ask for extra sauces at mcdonald’s....if you can’t make a phone call to your credit card company explaining that a $3,000 charge to starbucks wasn’t you.....she’s your girl <3 since she’s relatively not bothered by the way people see her ( unless it has to do with her past ) she’s usually the one speaking up if someone she cares about can’t

no i haven’t seen it and i am not planning on seeing it either, i talked about this before where people sensationalized jimin’s death treats and him fainting etc, people on youtube are only interested in views and basically throw up unsourced fake news into the world, with a dash of their on fanfic thrown in. like the only thing you can do about these is not watch them and urge other people not to watch them either, not to believe them etc, youtube fanbase is its own gullible entity so don’t worry about comments too much, ykwim? these videos are like if edgy stans on twitter were to be taken seriously. i dislike these analyses videos cause i believe there are some boundaries that should be kept, it’s okay to talk about it to some extent if the artist talks about it first, but still.. boundaries. i’m sorry you had to see a video like that tbh /hugs

i don’t mind answering it, you’re not being nosy ;; i wouldn’t say abandoning them is the right word cause that implies i’m doing something wrong and that the boys would be hurt by it, which you know.. they wouldn’t. it’s also not about the album being to some arbitrary standard… 

but basically yeah, i have been in the process of like giving them a second chance since the last album. cause idk if you were following me then, but i was let down by spring day too, like i love it now but back then i was taken aback by its obvious attempt to appeal to what korean public likes (which worked) and the media play around it, plus i still think that song was mixed horribly and i prefer the live versions :x 

but the last album was really like… it’s not just that i thought it was bad music, shallow, that the boys didn’t work on it as much, that it was about something i didn’t care for, cause i could get past that? i’ve been into kpop for 9 years so i wouldn’t get far if i dropped groups because of one weak album.

but it’s because… like that is related to my personal live story, but what the boys stood for and talked about was incredibly relatable to me and gave me a lot of strength, i had a real pretty much tangible connection to their music and to them and what they stood for as a group, but with HER.. and also the drama videos preceding it, to me it tainted the legacy of HYYH first, which hurt because i got so attached to it, because like.. that stuff pretty much saved my life back then… and the album was just… it wasn’t them, so i felt disconnect between the music and the boys and what more… it wasn’t me? which is just personal i know, but it wasn’t just that i didn’t like it, it also… hurt me.. the lyrics, the messages, i was hurt… while other people loved it, i was crying because i was so shocked and hurt by the new direction they were going… not to mention the walls that have been building between the fans and them, with bighit trying so hard to make everything as controlled and paid for as possible

so while i would complain and grumble over bad music, i would stay? it’s more that i wouldn’t be able to support them as a GROUP if they kept making music i can’t relate to, that is too disconnected from my own experiences, and mostly music that i find hurtful, music that instead of helping me from anxiety actually pushes me towards it… even if i still loved them as people yeah, i think in some form i would have to unstan, take a step back idk… to me the next album i think will really show what the boys and the company actually strive for, whether the boys doing sincere music or making money takes the precedent, and i will make my decision then

oh thank you ;; i don’t think i’m worthy of respect, i’m just an asshole that talks too much. and i think it’s not fair to single out kpop because the thing plaguing all fandoms is that the bigger it is, the more bad eggs it attracts, and kpop fandom swallowed the big fandoms of the past (like 1D so yeah :/ ) i think the problem in the fandom right now, like the person you mentioned, is when people stop seeing the “bad eggs” as bad eggs and instead give them validation and an actual voice in the community, which is something i hate too and is the reason i try to stay away from what the fandom is doing myself, i just try to focus on my little bubble here now and that feels much better, well unless someone invades it -.- but yeah thank you even though i’m undeserving ;; i appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts ♥

Ask blogs are fun as long as people remember that mods are also people and that it takes time to do art. Such messages can be very discouraging, even if it wasn’t your intention. Besides, in my opinion the blog is updated pretty constantly? I don’t really get what you’re complaining about. Also, please do not forget that there are like 112 asks in the inbox at the moment. That’s a lot and it’s impossible to answer all of them so if your question is not answered then do not blame mods. Maybe none of them had strength to answer it and didn’t want to force themselves to draw something they wouldn’t enjoy or maybe they didn’t even notice it.
