tfw when you write an entire novel with two protagonists that spent the entire plot getting closer to each other, becoming best friends and eventually both of them deciding they would rather die than allow the other to not live a long, fulfilling life, their friendship carrying most of the emotional weight of the entire plot and the emotional climax being one of them sacrificing his life so the other can live and then the other crossing literal universes to find him, a tearful smile in his face as he confesses how much he missed him. which is the scene you wanted to write and show the most because, again, this is the pay off to the slowburn you've been writing in the entire novel and what everything has been building up to since the very first chapter. and then you end the novel by having them share a smile, finally confident they'll be able to have a happy future.
but you also just gotta have one of them marry offscreen because everyone knows you can't be happy if you're not in a het marriage with kids lmao it's whatever it's okay i'm fiNE-

Is this fanfic friendly? I feel like an outlier.
I guess this is my sign it's time to throw together a FAQ post to link to lol.
Yes, every event for this blog is fanfic friendly :D
Though as I mentioned on my Ominous October post, for events that include multiple short stories, I encourage everyone to flex their creativity and take one of their planned short story fanfics, and at least *attempt* to turn one of them into something entirely original; rebuilding a character and story from the ground up to stand on its own two legs is no easy feat, and that is what makes it so fun!
It really gets your creative gears turning, to make an "au of an existing material" to be something entirely original, and you can be pleasantly surprised about the things you come up with!
As a few people say, its not just a matter of "filing the serial numbers off" -- you have to add in just as much *or more* as what you take out when you are turning a fanfiction into something that is original and completely divorced from its original source material / inspiration, and that is a hard, but very rewarding challenge!
Obviously, this is not a requirement (there's no hard requirements for any of the challenges, other than no cheating, including no using AI),
but if you would like an extra challenge for the short story events and you're planning on doing entirely fan-fiction, I highly recommend trying it out at least once, and seeing where it leads you--
you may find yourself pleasantly surprised by what you find down that rabbit hole!

The thing about suddenly taking a modern fnaf anthro au seriously is that i have to figure out how everyone is related lmao
Bc just for the bit i made each species related to each other biologically (all the bears are related, the rabbits are related, the chickens & foxes yadda yadda...) but ALSO i wanna keep the GROUPS together too (classics all know each other, rockstars all know each other, nightmares all know each other...)
Its just. Kinda weird to figure out sometimes because holy SHIT it really would be a small world

it makes me so sad when people refer to Vlaakith as a god lmao
she's a lich
like, an incredibly old lich with a lot of power, and I know from the outside it's easy to wonder what the difference is between that and a god, and that I'm being a bit pedantic about the mechanics of this setting
but gods (in Fearun) are not just 'really powerful magic users'. they're beings with a direct connection to and major control over a mortal 'portfolio'. their literal power is directly connected to the strength of their worship/veneration. gods can die but even in death they hold power over their portfolios (Mystra, for example, has 'died' multiple times at this point, but because her portfolio (magic) still exists she keeps coming back, in one form or another)
Vlaakith has no 'portfolio'. her power is her own and does not come from her follower's veneration, except in the way any political power is strengthened by its followers. she is, quite literally, just a 'really powerful magic user'. she wants you to think she's a god, but calling her one is ascribing her more power than she actually has. she can die, and once she's dead she's dead

(Suspected but at this point it probably straight up is) bpd is so fucked up like I'm sitting here like "Wow I can't wait for ep 3 of tadc so I can finally have more Zooble content!! :D" but then immediately after I'm like "if they give Zooble a canon love interest at any point in this series I will absolutely not be okay"
