“I hate touching people, Harry” he says, his words contradicted with a thumb tracing the veins in Harry’s left wrist, Voldemort's attention to the blue web underneath the skin as intense and focused as he is in all things. 

Harry finds his voice while watching the movement. “But not me.”

Voldemort’s eyes slide away to stare past the burning horizon even as the grip entwining their hands remains cold iron. “No… not you,” is said with detached calm. Voldemort’s thin fingers flutter against Harry’s pulse, tapping out silent notes. It's good to know they're both uncomfortable. It banishes further insecurities from plaguing Harry. Helps him keep his head. 

Together in the dusk of a dying day, they’re alone. Without a soul around them, the rest of the world slips away. There’s no Dursleys, no judging masses to have to play savior to. He doesn’t have to be the Chosen One here. It makes Harry feel brave. He needs to ask.

“Why?”

Voldemort shuts his eyes. “As if you don’t already know.” He says it like it hurts. Maybe it did. 

Harry tightens the hold and cranes his neck to take in Voldemort's profile, trying to catch a glimpse of his expression. “Tell me anyway,” he whispers.

cynical but much mellower than you’d expect, since Helios keeps him levelled out with positivity. when his LV does become too much to handle anyway, he’s sent out on missions to get rid of dissidents. he doesn’t like being ordered around and finds Helios incredibly grating and hates all the admiration he gets… but also Dust sticks around with his head down for the free food, shelter, and the secret hope that making AUs positive by Helios’ orders will repent for all the bad he’s done. he’s only good for killing, right? so he may as well use that for the “greater good”. but if you ask he’d definitely imply it’s just for the LV.

saw a ‘the nanny’ edit on my fyp and i'm choosing to make this about choso kamo, whose younger brother is one of the kids you regularly babysit for. young, bright-eyed yuji itadori has your heart—well, so does his (hot) older brother, so keeping an eye on him is never any trouble for you.

one stormy night rolls in and yuji finds it hard to drift off. it's rough on the poor boy, though you're able to coax him back to bed; choso wanted to do it himself, but yuji specifically asked for you. he respects that and says that he'd be in the living room.

when you tuck the comforter under yuji’s chin while reassuring him that it'd be okay, he calls out to you right after you take two steps away from him.

“ ‘m scared,” yuji mumbles, giving you his best puppy-dog eyes even with how tired he is. “will you sleep with me?”

with a soft sigh, you offer him a small smile as you nod. right words, wrong brother, you think, mind wandering to choso who's just downstairs.
