even when the worst atrocities anyone could ever think of were committed against him by his closest friend, he still forgives him. this is oswald cobblepot we're talking about here. the man who was out for blood and paranoid at the fact that a statue of his mother was destroyed and would probs even kill someone over fucking up a meeting. but… he'd forgive edward for anything, even dragging his father's corpse around and throwing it in a dumpster and responds to that information with "you were angry, i understand, i even forgive you" like.
