just had a weird thought...
what would happen if a jedi got pregnant? what would happen to them? would they be forced to give it up? is there contraceptives they are forced to take? would they be forced to leave the order? are female jedi given the choice?
cuz like, we all know jedi aren't "celibate" but like what would actually happen if a jedi didn't want to give a child up?
like i know no one will probably answer this but i giggle imagining someone telling yoda and the jedi council that they're pregnant and they dont know what to do and the council is just exchanging side eyes lmao
like we know that ki adi mundi had multiple wives because his species was dying out but like... idk has anyone ever thought about female jedi in this scenario like??? what if a woman was in that position?
in usual fashion, star wars is male-centered and doesn't think about these things so here i am wondering about them.

I was thinking about that moment in AOTC today where Padme falls out of the gunship and the one thing Obi-Wan says that convinces Anakin not to jump after her is "What would Padme do in your position" and Anakin responds that she would do her duty.
Except. This is entirely untrue. And we've been shown THREE TIMES in this film alone that this is untrue. We'll see more in ROTS and more yet in TCW.
But this moment is ALREADY UNTRUE in the moment that it's spoken. The first time we see Padme do otherwise is when Anakin tells her he's planning to just... abandon his job as her bodyguard in order to go find his mother and her reaction is to say "cool, I'll come with you then." Both of them are SUPPOSED to stay on Naboo in the safety of her people and this out of the way villa, and even if that weren't true, there's no real condemnation from Padme when Anakin specifically states that he's planning on NOT doing his duty by her anymore. The second time is when Anakin is explicitly ordered to stay on Tatooine and NOT go to save Obi-Wan on Geonosis and Padme refuses to abide by that and convinces Anakin to go against his duty for a second time. The third time is when she chooses to tell Anakin she loves him in the Geonosis arena, setting aside all of the reasons she knows she shouldn't be in a relationship with him due to their positions as a Jedi and a Senator. You could even include the moments where Padme decides to pretend Anakin didn't mean it when he said he believed in a democracy despite how very troubling that is to hear from the mouth of a Jedi even if it WAS a joke, and when Padme choosing to condone Anakin massacring a village of Tuskens and keeping it secret from the Jedi.
So there are three moments where Padme either condones Anakin abandoning his duty or abandons her OWN duty and two moments where Padme choosing to look the other way when Anakin demonstrates a questionable behavior because she cares about him and doesn't want to face the reality of what she SHOULD do in that situation, so she just... chooses not to. There's even a quick line when Anakin and Obi-Wan are being seen of by Obi-Wan and Typho and Obi-Wan says something like how he hopes Anakin won't be too reckless and Typho says he'd be more worried about HER. So we're told from almost the beginning of this story that, between the two of them, PADME might be the one more likely to do reckless things whenever she wants.
And of course if we move forward into ROTS, we've got Padme just blatantly ignoring the entire issue of what will happen once the baby is born and imagining this beautiful fantasy where she and Anakin raise the baby on Naboo together, despite the fact that Anakin's duty as a Jedi will make that impossible, despite the inevitable fallout she knows is coming if the Queen figures out she's pregnant while also still being a Senator (which is, ya know, inevitably going to happen eventually), and despite the fact that she and Anakin are STILL LIVING A LIE and so raising children together isn't going to happen the way she thinks it will. Her fantasy is just that, a fantasy. Padme is refusing to do the right thing and be honest about her situation and letting someone else be a Senator in her place so she can pursue starting a family.
We've also got her entire reaction to Obi-Wan showing up to tell her Anakin killed children and the way she just refuses to believe Anakin COULD kill children even though she is one of two people who knows for certain that he's already done so. She refuses to help Obi-Wan find Anakin and, once she gets to Mustafar, her first attempt at reaching him is to convince him to RUN AWAY WITH HER rather than to face any kind of justice for what he's done or ask him what happened. Padme was all righteous about "so this is how liberty dies" earlier, but she's doing the exact same thing on Mustafar with Anakin by refusing to believe Obi-Wan and trying to help Anakin escape instead of acting like the Senator she's supposed to be.
And then you get to TCW where you've got Padme letting Anakin manipulate her into abandoning her responsibilities early in season 1, Padme straight-up LYING TO HER QUEEN in order to get Anakin assigned to the Blue Shadow Virus mission on Naboo, and Padme making the extremely ill-advised choice to give up Grievous as a hostage in order to get Anakin back from Dooku. There's also the first Clovis episode in I believe season 2 when Padme is upset with Anakin the one time he DOES leave her in order to do his duty and punishes him by taking the mission to spy on Clovis that he's trying to convince her not to take.
So it's almost LAUGHABLE that the thing that keeps Anakin on the gunship is thinking that if their positions were reversed, Padme would do her duty when we've had more than one piece of evidence IN THIS FILM ALONE to show that Padme would've fucking jumped if she'd been in Anakin's position.

Mandalorian Slash Fic Rec List - DinLuke Volume II: Short and Sweet & Short and Fun
Welcome to Volume II of Mando slash: Dinluke fic recs! Here is Volume I. For reference, 🔐 means a restricted work and 💜 means an personal favorite. Please show your love and apprecation to our authors!! -Yours, Limn <3
Short and Sweet
staring down the barrel of the hot sun by magneticwave (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Mandalorian Politics, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Gen, 25k)
“Gone to a Child of the Watch, the Darksaber has,” Grand Master Yoda announces in his creaky little voice. “Peace, there is not, and yet peace, there must be.”
sit down, breathe, and just listen by @andfollowthesun (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Anakin Skywalker, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, First Meetings, Gen, 13k)
“Of course we’re married.” Anakin is blinking at the camera guilelessly. “We’ve been married since before the end of the Clone Wars. What are you on about?”
thaw by @andthepeople (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Mandalorian Politics, Mand'alor Din Djarin, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Hurt/Comfort, Teen, 6k)
That’s what hope does to you, Luke remembers now. It lingers at the back of your mind, whispering maybe, maybe, so that knowing a plan is stupid isn’t enough to keep you from trying it.
💜 Melt by @smilebackwards (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Mandalorian Politics, Mand'alor Din Djarin, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Rescue Missions, POV Alternating, Teen, 6k)
“You haven’t given him your clan signet,” the Armorer says bluntly when Din visits her. Of course the latest episode in his faltering courtship has reached her ears. “Anyone is free to make an offer until a signet is given and accepted.” “I know,” Din says.
Cannonball by @thrvrnd (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Mature, 18k)
Grogu continues to call Luke for help once he's back with the Mandalorian. Luke always answers.
🔐 turn the page together (when you're ready) by @dee-lirious (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Canon Compliant, POV Luke Skywalker, Gen, 18k)
The Mandalorian—technically Mand’alor, although the one time Luke had called him that to his face he’d grunted in displeasure and made a gesture as if physically swatting the title aside—he visits the temple, sometimes.
give in, eyes closed by strawberry_champagne (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Established Relationship, Character Study, Gray-Asexuality, Teen, 2k)
When Din decided that this was something that he could have, even the most innocent touch was like torrential rain on a sun-scorched planet. He feels like he might drown in it when they’re pressed together like this, counts the points of contact, mouth. chest. knees. hands. wrists. This isn’t something he wants from just anyone. Luke isn’t just anyone, not by a parsec. Luke Skywalker and Din Djarin share a quiet moment while chasing rumors of Force-sensitives across the galaxy.
Oath by rinwins (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Found Family, Marriage Proposal, Keldabe Kiss, Gen, 3k)
“I want to ask you something,” Din says, after they’ve settled Grogu down for the night. That’s his serious voice. Probably not many people can tell the difference, actually, but Luke can. “Okay,” he says, “go ahead.” ... “Would you consider,” says Din, “joining my clan?” - Which contains two proposals, mild liberties with both Mandalorian and Jedi customs, sociopolitical and religious implications But In Space, Force visions, too much studying, a little sparring, a bit of snark, and a Lot of fluff.
Right Where We Need to Be by pixie_rings (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Mature, 4k)
Din Djarin is welcomed to Ossus, despite his first thoughts. And if he finds himself thinking a bit too much about Luke, well... it's just because he's his friend. Right?
🔐 Boundaries by kushana (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Asexual Relationship, Boundaries, Fluff and Humor, Teen, 2k)
Din suddenly feels cold under his armour and his throat constricts. He’s never touched Luke like that, carefree, and there are such things as boundaries. 'Din. It’s okay.' Or: Din touches Luke's nose, then freaks out. Luke sets things straight.
The Three by skywalkers (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Force Visions (Star Wars, Nightmares, Teen, 3k)
“I’ve followed my path, I’ve tried to do what I thought was right, but what if it’s only leading to the same place?” Luke seethes a breath through a wave of nausea when he recalls the dream. “Something is coming, and I…I can’t risk the Temple, our people, you, Grogu. Something is coming and I don’t know what.” “Something is coming, Din. And I’m...” He hesitates. “I’m afraid.” - A nightmare wakes both Luke and Din in the middle of the night.
🔐 I'll take you at your word by @darkisrising (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Fluff, Accidental Marriage, Gen, 1k)
But by far the most attractive thing about Luke isn’t his face, which is beautiful, or his physique, which is impressive, or his voice, which could drive a celibate to distraction. No it’s how eager Luke is not just to teach, but also to learn.
let me walk to the top of the big night sky by @4hoots (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Fluff, Mutual Pining, Mand'alor Din Djarin, Planet Mandalore, Gen, 3k)
“Then what are you asking?” The hand on Luke’s arm flexed, and Din stepped even closer, putting them nearly toe-to-toe. “I’m asking you... to share your time with me. Whatever time you’ll give.”
💜 as it was by @ineffablestardust (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Luke and his lost hand, Hurt/Comfort, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Teen, 1k)
the ghosts that we learn to deal with, the nature of being human, forgiving oneself and looking to the future and dinluke softies
Short and Fun
listen, there's a hell of a universe next door by storm_petrel (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Ensemble Cast, Rescue Missions, BAMF Luke Skywalker, BAMF Din Djarin, Action/Adventure, Mature, 13k)
As it turns out, no one ever taught Luke how to tie a little green baby to his back one-handed, but Luke thinks he's pretty gods-damned good at problem-solving under pressure, thank you, and the baby is at least semi-cooperative. When he's sure the kid is strapped in as tight as he can get, Luke pauses, and reaches back. His fingers graze the wide point of the baby's fuzzy ear. "Well, kid," says Luke, and his voice is a little rough, but not bad, all things considered. "Carrying you on my back while getting the absolute banthashit kicked out of me, at least this feels familiar." The baby coos in his ear, and then kicks him hard in the kidney. Yoda used to do the exact same thing. Somehow, it's a lot more endearing now. Or: Luke Skywalker solves a number of life-or-death problems, makes some new friends, falls abruptly in love, and gets shot into space, all in the same day.
say it as you will by @chocmarss (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Ensemble Cast, Ahsoka Tano, Grogu, Captain Rex, Force Ghosts, Teen, 4k)
“It’s like I’m watching a carbon copy of Skywalker Sr. sneaking around with the Senator and thinking none of us could see how he’s shit at hiding it.” From her other side, the blue outline of said Skywalker Sr. frowns in some degree of confusion. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
💜 three rules (back straight, head forward) by queen_rowenas (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, New Republic Politics, Secret Relationship, POV Outsider, Teen, 8k)
Leia is helpless to watch as Senator Almen continues on as though nothing is wrong. “Mand’alor, may I introduce you to Senator Organa’s brother, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.” She can feel all of her hard work crumbling, whatever trust she had formed with the Mandalorians shattering before her as the Mand’alor slowly stands to his feet. Great, she thinks numbly, Another galactic war on my hands. (Leia Organa has never been one to back down from a challenge. Although advising the new Mand’alor in his introduction to the Senate and also trying to keep her Jedi brother from causing an intergalactic incident could prove to be a bigger challenge than expected.)
perhaps I could learn to love by @ace-dindjarin (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Bo-Katan Kryze, Korkie Kryze, Oblivious Din Djarin, Asexual Din Djarin, Korkie Kryze is a Kenobi, Humor, Misunderstandings, Teen, 9k)
Alt. Title: In Which Din Djarin Assumes Shit Korkie snaps his fingers in front of the Jedi’s wide eyes. “Hello?” “I, uh, sorry. I am the delegate, yes,” the Jedi stammers. “The New Republic delegate. Luke Skywalker.” Solo elbows him in the side. “Great.” Korkie brightens, pulling out a datapad from his belt. “Should we begin?” The Jedi blinks, eyes wide in shock. “Hmm?” “Okay, I’ll take over.” Solo pulls out his own datapad. The two begin to share their information. It’s fifteen minutes into the meeting when Din finally realizes the Jedi’s interested in Korkie Kryze. Romantically. - Din Djarin, the new Mand’alor, interacts with the New Republic delegate sent to consider the Mandalorians for a seat in the Senate. When he realizes the Jedi’s into the charming politician, Korkie Kryze, he’s okay with it. He’s very okay with it. Totally fine. Featuring insecurity, lots of irrational fear, and shenanigans.
The Opposite of All My Mistakes by @vagrantblvrd (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Ensemble Cast, Force Ghosts, Gen, 3k)
Never let it be said that Luke has chosen to eschew the most sacred of Jedi traditions.
Hello Hurricane by @vagrantblvrd (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Mara Jade, Ensemble Cast, Force Ghosts, Gen, 4k)
Luke has a problem. His problem wears armor. Shiny, shiny armor. Also, there’s a cape.
💜 Entanglements by @vagrantblvrd (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Teen, 4.5k)
Jedi don’t panic.
Symphonies by @vagrantblvrd (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Gen, 4k)
“I don’t understand,” Din says, focused on prying a shiny rock out of Grogu’s mouth. “If your sister is a princess, wouldn’t that make you a prince as well?” His logic is sound, Luke gives him that, but as Luke continues to learn the more he and Leia cautiously look into their lineage, it’s not so clear-cut.
💜 unconditional by @meowalker (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Missing Scene, Marriage Proposal, Gen, 8k)
“I’m thinking,” Skywalker greets, face blinking into existence over the N1’s holoprojector. “You get him during the week, then I get the weekends.”
💜 Read All About It! by pixie_rings (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, Grogu, Ensemble Cast, Humor, POV Outsider, Gen, 2.5k)
Kerani Leyn, shiny new reporter for the Hanna City Herald, is about to land the scoop of a lifetime.
(Let's Kiss) While All the Stars Are Falling Down by @stupidfatpenguin (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, One Shot, battle husbands, Not Rated, 900w)
Prompt: have you considered: battle husbands When Din slots in behind Luke on the battlefield, something clicks into place.
take my last breath, too by @stupidfatpenguin (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, One Shot, Sparring, Accidental Proposal, Pining, Gen, 1k)
“You think I’ll last long against your Jedi magic?” (In which Din is distracted and underestimates his opponent.)
Live dangerous by @iamscoby (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, One Shot, Old DinLuke, Planet Ahch-To, Gen, 500w)
It rains a lot on Ahch-To.
🔐 cement and sunshine (ten-cent clementines) by @navigatorwrongway (Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, The Armorer, Ahsoka Tano, Not Rated, 1.5k)
They’re just kidding themselves, at this point.

The Mechanic
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: Cal can't just be telling everyone he's a Jedi, no matter how cute they are. So apparently he's a mechanic? After a wonderful walk of getting to know each other, the cat’s out of the bag.
Word Count: 1.6k
Warnings: Creepy men, but you're saved!
A/N: Been playing too much stardew, but is that a bad thing?
Prompt: Did you ever tell me the truth, or were they all lies?
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
You were tending to your farm, admiring the rising sun off on the horizon. Even though Koboh did have some very unpleasant places, your family found this small patch away from people, and most importantly, the Empire. So far you haven’t come into contact with any, you’ve only heard stories that your father would tell you while you tended the fields together.
That was over a year ago; the day he passed away. You were able to sprinkle his ashes by the tree he planted for you as a baby. But, the farm must prosper. You’ve decided to help out the struggling townspeople by selling and trading with them every other sunset.
It was any other day as you walked into town. A big basket in your back, and two in each hand. The cantina in town was friendly to you and let you sell inside, especially during the hottest of days. The short fellow, Cheese? Grease? You felt bad for not remembering, always had lavish stories to share with anyone who would listen. Of course, you would sell your goods and just listen to him go on and on about the galaxy, just like your father used to do.
Suddenly, a tall man with bright red hair runs into the cantina. You only catch a glimpse of him, but time seemed to slow down. His hair was pushed back with him running, showing off his chiseled face and red stubble of a beard. He looked to be about your age. His arms are covered in freckles, his knuckles badly beaten. Maybe he's a handyman? Just as you got a good look, he was gone, running to the back. The bar owner noticed your interest in the man. He waddles up to you, waving a friendly gesture. You smile back.
"Hey, kid. Got some eyes for my kid?" He smirks, making your face heat up immediately.
"Oh, no, sir. This is the first time I've seen him." You respond, packing up the last of your goods in the smaller basket. He hums, nodding his head and looking to the backdoor.
"Well, I'm off. Thank you again for letting me stay here." You smile, sticking out your hand to shake. He smiles, shaking your hand. Then, the redhead comes back. His attention is on you, shaking his friend's hand.
"Ah! Cal, please meet (Y/N)." The bar owner gestures to the man. Cal, what a nice name. It just flows out of your mouth. Cal~
"Pleasure to meet you," He walks over, sticking out his hand. You shake it, feeling your neck heat up.
"The pleasure is all mine," You respond. "Unfortunately, I must go. The sun is setting and I don't want to run into unexpected company." Cal's eyebrows shoot up.
"The raiders? Please, let me walk you home." Cal offers. Your neck heatens up more.
"I live out in the country at the farm an hour away, I'll be okay, thank you." You shly say as you head for the door. As the door opens, you're met face to face with two raiders, coming in for a drink. You immediately step aside to let them in.
"Ah, pretty girl, do you need us to walk you home?" One of them giggles, wrapping his arm around you, leading you outside. Cal does not stand for that one bit, running out and up to you.
"Sir, I was just about to escort her. Thank you for the offer. Your drink can be on me, right Greez?" Cal calls back to the bar owner, who nods emphatically. The raiders only scoff and head inside. Shaken, you reach your free hand around Cal's arm, who's taken aback slightly.
"Thank you so much." You whisper as the door closes behind you. "I'd really appreciate a companion to head back." He nods, showing you a warm smile. You don't take your arm back, and he doesn't seem to mind. You make your way down the street and onto a worn dirt path towards your farm.
The walk back was fantastic. You learned so much about each other. You told him about your life, growing up on the planet that you could never leave, tending to your family's bountiful farm. He explained that he has been a mechanic for many ships, traveling around the galaxy and seeing what the universe had to offer. That's where all the scars are, showing you the ones on his face and arms. You asked all types of questions, curious as a cat. He was happy to answer and tell more stories. Even after you made it back to the farm, you gave a quick tour and offered him dinner, which he gladly accepted the invite.
You stood in front of your stove, cooking up a vegetable stew as Cal sat politely on a chair by the window. The only lights were from a few candles about and the one electrical bulb you had on the ceiling.
"Using an animal to fly and not a machine?" You exclaim, dumbfounded with the biggest grin on your face. "That sounds incredible. You have had such an interesting life as a mechanic. Maybe I need a career change." You smile, stirring the food. Cal chuckles, looking out the window.
"It seems quite peaceful here, with kind people around." Cal responds, taking a deep breath. "(Y/N) that smells amazing, thank you for cooking." You blush as you dish out some bowls.
"Of course, I'm happy to help. Thank you again for walking me back. Will you be okay to walk back in the dark?" You frown, pointing outside. The only light available was given by the moon and the stars above. Cal takes a big spoonful of sound, gasping with delight.
"Woah," He breathes out, taking another bite. You giggle at the man's response. You eat together, telling jokes and talking about the planet.
Suddenly, there's a knock at the door. You both raise an eyebrow, as you stand up to answer the door. Without another knock, the door is kicked in and a few raiders enter.
"Ah! So this is where the pretty lady resides." One exclaims, putting his hands on his hips. Cal stands up, pushing you behind him, holding around your waist.
"Can we help you this evening?" He calmly asks, a scowl still lingering on his face. They all chuckle.
"We're here for the lady, she's being asked to come with us for the night." The leader, you assume states, taking another step forward. "Unless, you want to settle this outside?" Cal turns to face you.
"Stay here, gather your valuables." He states to you. He turns to face the invaders. "All of you, outside with me." They laugh, walking outside and unsheathing their weapons. You're practically shaking, running about the house, grabbing your money, seeds, heirlooms, anything important to you.
"Cal?" You ask, shoving stuff into your cloth bag. He raises up his hand.
"I'll take care of it, and we may need to go back into town for safety." He walks outside. You close the door behind him, not wanting to know what happens. Can you trust the mechanic? He seems extremely strong, but you don't have time to worry. You place more things in your bag when a green light shines from behind you. Cautiously, you turn around, throwing your bag onto your shoulders.
You watch Cal strike down a raider, a glowing sword in his hands. What IS that? You try to recall some memories from your father, the stories he would tell you about the galaxy. There were people actively fighting against the Empire, Jedos? Jedas? What were they?
The door flings open, Cal's hair a mess and sticking to his face. The green glowing stick is no where to be seen. He extends out his hand, and you instantly take it. Before you could go anywhere, you pull him in for a hug. Taken aback, he gladly accepts, holding you tightly against his sweaty frame.
"Thank you," you whisper, still shaking slightly from the earlier events.
"Of course, (Y/N). Let's get you back to the cantina... I have some explaining to do." He starts to lead you two away, but you take a moment and turn to face your home. You can't help but feel overwhelmed, tears brimming your eyes. Cal places a hand to your lower back, attempting to comfort you.
"What do I do? I can't stay here..." You exclaim quietly, your lip quivering. Cal's eyebrows furrow, sighing.
"I don't think this is safe anymore, but I know Greez and I can help find a safe place for you. Think of it as the adventure you've always wanted." Cal releases his hand, extending it out to you. You nod, taking his hand into yours.
You both start down the path, having to squint and adjust your eyes to make sure you're still on the path. He reaches for something to his side, pulling out a metal stick. You raise an eyebrow.
"Please don't touch any part of the lightsaber, it can hurt." He explains, turning it on. The green stick! Or, a lightsaber apparently. You watch in amazement.
"You're a Jedi." You say blatantly, looking out to the illuminated path in front of you. "You help people." Cal smiles, urging you both forward.
The rest of the walk is him telling you the truth about him. All the while, you happily listen, clutching onto his bicep as you walk into the night.

Dislikes: Sindel, Rhea getting hurt, her loved one in danger, not being able to use the full potential of her magic.
Tumblr media
Backstory: Eileithyia was a young matron from a warrior clan native to an island in the Mediterranean. She watched as her husband and clan were slaughtered by the sorcerer thirsting for their souls, and had to give a quick and painless death to the few who survived but had their lives by a thin line. She would have joined her husband, sisters, and brothers if it weren't for the Lin Kuei and their lifetime debt...
She lies for more than a thousand years freezing, where once was her home, now it was a tomb, her clan has been erased from history, forgotten, or so she thought... Waking up in what was said to be the 21st century, with no knowledge of the modern environment in which she found herself, Eileithyia starts a new life in a village, decides to leave her past behind but her plans go down the drain when a certain Fire God and Protector of Earthrealm shows up at her favorite teahouse…
Tumblr media
Personality: Eileithyia is wise, attentive and kind to those she considers family but is highly cautious, suspicious and critical of outsiders. After the massacre of her clan, she turned dark and bloody, resorting to even darker magic than she was used to in an attempt to avenge her clan.
After starting visiting Madam Bo's Teahouse and start a friendship with Raiden and Kung Lao, her behavior changed slightly, losing interest in killing and leaving behind his path of revenge, preferring to incapacitate his opponent without seriously injuring him. Many villagers in Fengjian describe Eileithyia as cold, aloof, lonely, and silent, refraining from showing her softer side, being reserved only for children, Madam Bo, Kung Lao, and Raiden. And despite her cold exterior, everyone in Fengjian knew that they could trust Eileithyia with their children, many speak and praise warmly about her fierce protection.
She has a slightly dark sense of humor in combat, often joking that she needs certain parts of her opponent's body as a sacrifice to the Elder Gods or for some dark ritual. She also has some sadistic tendencies, such as liking to give a slow and painful death to a person who she fully believes to deserves it, she also finds it satisfying to take a person to death with her own hands, reaching the point of healing all the wounds that she caused and repeating everything again.
Tumblr media
Author's notes: Hello, how are you guys? I hope you liked the character I created. I used Merrin from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to be the face of my character, I may be a passable editor but not the best artist. 😅 I also wanted to say thank you to @lynn-w3st 😘 for helping me develop the character as well as ideas for developing the story.
I'm still thinking about whether or not I should make a prologue, I already have the first chapter in mind and maybe some intros but I'm still writing other information about my original character (brutalities, fatalities, fatal blow)… please be patient with me, I'm very nervous about this. And sorry if there were any spelling mistakes, English is not my first language and I am using the translator to write the parts where my English is not that good.

After This, It Won't Be The Same
Summary: Very early on in the Clone Wars, soon after you've been knighted, you are involved in an intense battle that leaves you extremely injured, affecting your ability to be the successful Jedi General you have become. Not only does this affect you, but it brings things to light about you and Anakin's friendship.
Notes: This can act as a "prequel" to You're Not Weak, it is the injury that was mentioned briefly there. Was supposed to be relating this to an athletic injury as opposed to a life-ending injury but it is Star Wars so basically anyone can die at any time so Anakin freaks tf out...
(PART 1 of 2)
Tumblr media
Becoming a Jedi Knight was all you ever wanted, and now that you were one you found it both thrilling but also extremely exhausting. You certainly never wanted to be a part of a war, but the adventures that you went on each and every week was everything you could have dreamed of. You also loved the freedom that was granted to you, and you loved even more that you were actively helping people which was something you wanted to do ever since you first became a Padawan. A lot of people, Jedi or otherwise, doubted your ability because of your small stature but time and time again you got to prove them wrong with your strength in the Force and agility and battle intelligence.
So, despite how tired you were after missions, you at least felt like you were fulfilling your purpose as a Jedi. The only downside, of course, was that you could not see Anakin as much. The two of you are best friends—arguably more than that, but that’s a problem to deal with another time—and it’s been that way ever since he arrived at the Temple. Your Master was good friends with Obi-Wan and worked with him quite often in the aftermath of Qui-Gon’s death, so you often found yourself training alongside Anakin and spending a lot of time with him.
He was different from other Padawans you knew, and for some reason that you could not quite place, he felt more like family than your friends, than your Master even, and being with him gave (still gives) you the same feeling you get when you think of your family before you were brought to the Temple. He gives you a new perspective on things, and you find yourself treating your former Master, Obi-Wan, and the clones in your battalion more like siblings than friends or fellow Jedi. You have found both yourself and the Force more enriched ever since you started thinking in that way.
Anakin, however, is something more to you, now. Perhaps it is somewhat romantic, but it honestly surpasses any definition you can think of. He’s just… with you, and you’re with him. You love him, and he loves you. You aren’t sure what that means exactly, but you hope someday soon you will.
You’re currently thinking about him because you are going to be in a rather large fight with him as soon as your transport touches down on this planet. Well, you should rephrase; you’re heading into battle alongside both him and Obi-Wan with each of your respective clone battalions. It will be one of the bigger battles you’ve been in recently, but you’re forcing yourself to be up to the challenge because it means you get to be with Anakin after not having seen him in what feels like forever.
The gunship shakes as you land, and instantly you are into the fray.
You sense Anakin somewhere north-west of you, but almost immediately you see Obi-Wan through the smoke ahead of you. Blocking blaster bolts and dispatching droids is rather easy, but Obi-Wan feels overwhelmed in the Force so you decide to come to his aid.
Explosions sound left and right of you, and one lands so close that dust and dirt sprays all over your face and clothes. You grimace at the sight of you being so dirty because you literally just washed your armor this morning, but you figured you would have to clean it again anyway.
Finally, you reach him.
“Ah! Nice of you to finally make an appearance!” Obi-Wan shouts over the sounds of blasterfire.
You roll your eyes, but can’t help but smile. “Not my fault you didn’t send a transmission until the last minute!”
You take out the droideka directly behind him and he nods his thanks. He had been surrounded, but your presence allowed him to take on the super battle droids in front of him. You then pull the remaining droids towards you with the Force and leave many of them in crumpled heaps after doing so. You’re both afforded a moment to breathe.
Obi-Wan pulls you in for a quick embrace, and says as he releases you, “I’m glad you are here, young one.”
You scoff, “Of course! Any excuse to be with you both, I won’t ever hesitate to help out.”
He smiles. “Well then, let’s get this over with as quickly as possible so we can have some proper time to visit with each other!”
And then you’re in the battle again. You lose track of time and let yourself sink into the Force as you work your way across the battlefront and take out seriously so many clankers that you’re sure your clone Commander is going to be jealous.
Even with the Force, though, you feel yourself getting tired. The alarming thing is that the battle is far from over.
You catch a glimpse of Anakin on the other side of the damaged ship you are fighting on top of, and it takes everything in you to not rush over to him and tackle him in a hug. That would surely be the end of both of you in a setting like this.
Obi-Wan is cornered again, though, and you have to leave Anakin for now to go help his Master once again. It seems like the droids are being absolutely relentless on Obi-Wan in particular, and you wonder if Dooku is around somewhere or directly control of the enemy squadrons stationed here. Given the difficulty of this battle, you’d say it is a near certainty.
“Obi-Wan!” you shout, drawing some of the droids’ attentions to you as you pull them towards you so you can quickly dispatch them.
You’re fighting inside the damaged ship now, and it’s not a very safe place to be. The walls are coming down around you and all it would take is one well aimed tanker blast to make the whole thing come crashing down on top of you.
That is unfortunately what happens.
You get a warning in the Force preemptively, as you often do, and it makes you feel like your limbs are being turned to jelly. You really hate that feeling, it freaks you out to no end, the last time you felt it was right before Anakin lost his hand, and the time before that was when you almost lost your Master while on a particularly dangerous mission as a Padawan.
“Shit shit shit!”
You’re panicking when you shove your hands out and push Obi-Wan and consequently the droids surrounding him out of the ship and into the clearing, and you want to launch yourself after them.
The tanker blast hits right when you start to run, and you almost make it, almost, but then something smashes into you and your legs are twisted and crushed under debris. There’s a crack that is only audible to you as both your knees go numb, and you can’t help yourself from crying out. You cover your head, protecting yourself as best you can while everything crashes down around you.
It’s completely dark.
Your head is alright, but only because you are so focused on using the Force to keep anything from hitting your head.
Finally, things stop falling around you and you can release your arms. You let them fall harshly to the damaged floor. The slight movement makes you flinch as the debris around you groans, but nothing moves.
It’s really hard to breathe.
Your legs hurt like nothing else has ever hurt before—it feels like bone on bone every time you shift the tiniest bit, and you don’t keep yourself from crying out.
You feel Obi-Wan’s alarm somewhere out there around you, but it is nothing compared to Anakin’s fear that he’s projecting into the Force. It honestly is giving you a headache… making you see spots…
Or is that lack of oxygen?
You’re stuck in there for an indeterminable amount of time and you feel like you’re about to pass out. You’re sweating, dizzy, and it takes a lot for you to keep your eyes open.
Anakin’s presence gets closer and louder, but you’ve got a sinking feeling that it is going to be too late. Maybe if you were stronger you could find a way out of this on your own… You curse your smaller build, the weakness that you just can’t seem to shake, and your eyes water in frustration.
This was not how you expected the day to turn out at all. Of course, you had gotten hurt a couple of times while in battle and collected some scars, but every Jedi had. You are one of the Order’s most needed Generals, much like Kenobi and Skywalker, and if you failed here everything you worked so hard for would be for almost nothing. You never prepared yourself to lose everything like you had seen so many other lose. You really didn’t want to leave Anakin, either.
At least Obi-Wan was safe—you knew you would not handle it if anything happened to him, and Anakin would be absolutely crushed.
You just had no idea how destroyed they would be should something happen to you.
You’re that much closer to passing out when you hear the walls of the ship groan again, and you cover your ears at the sound. Then, a burst of light breaks through and you cover your eyes at the harshness of it.
Someone lands next to you, and you strain to hear who it could be. You’re frightened that it may be a droid or worse, Dooku, but your intuition in the Force is never wrong.
It’s Anakin.
And he feels absolutely terrified.
“Hey, hey, it’s alright. I’m here, I’m going to get you out of here…” He delicately holds your head in his hands before letting you use him as a makeshift pillow. “Force, you can barely breathe down here.” You hear him activate his comm, “I’ve got her, Master! But it’s so hard to breathe here, she looks like she’s about to pass out, her legs are stuck, it isn’t good—”
“It will be alright, Anakin. I’ll send for Kix and Coric, just do your best to get the hell out of there! The battle is almost cleared up here, you’ll be safe to carry her.”
“Got it,” he says shakily, and then he turns his attention back to you. “Alright, I’m going to get you out of here… can you hear me? Please, can you give me a sign? At least show me your eyes, I wanna see your beautiful eyes…”
You want to speak, but you are so exhausted that you can’t even manage to do that. All you can do is slowly slide your arm down your face and blink your eyes open. They’re barely open anyway, but it seems to be enough for Anakin.
Seeing his eyes makes you feel so safe, and you’re in awe of how ethereal and beautiful he looks in the spotlight created by the daylight outside. Even if his face is smeared with dirt and his eyes are bloodshot and full of tears, you find him the most stunning that he’s ever been.
“There you are,” he whispers, smiling, and smoothes your hair back from your head. The motion grounds you, and you remember your training. Relying on the Force and Anakin’s incredibly strong presence that surrounds you like a protective blanket, you pull yourself slightly up and into full consciousness.
I love you.
You think it to yourself, but all at once you understand what exactly it means this time. You love Anakin Skywalker enough to break yourself free from pain.
“I love you too,” he whimpers, pressing a kiss to your forehead. His own declaration brings tears to your eyes in a way that is neither from sadness nor joy, but from the sheer amount of emotion you feel. He continues, “I need to get you out, alright? It might hurt, but I’m here with you, I’m not going anywhere—”
You whine when he tries to pull you out from under the debris that has you trapped because it tugs on your injured legs and it hurts terribly. You squeeze your eyes shut, your tears streaming down your cheeks and leaving clear tracks through the grime on your face.
“I’m sorry! I’m so sorry, it’s almost over, just hold on…”
He stops, then lifts the debris around your legs with the Force. The pressure on your knees lessens immensely and you instantly feel relief. The pain is not gone completely, but any feeling in your legs now is better than none.
He quickly sweeps you up off the ground holding you close to his chest. He plants one more kiss to your forehead before he launches himself out of the wreckage and into the daylight.

hello! could you please write something where regressor!Ahsoka involuntarily regresses around Anakin after a stressful mission and she’s really embarrassed because she’s never regressed around him before but he takes care of her and becomes her cg?
( here it is finally! regressed ahsoka and caregiver anakin below the cut. ive kept it kind of a vague ending because I do plan to write more for them.) Ahsoka really hated post-mission comedowns, especially the comedown that followed a mission spent terrified Anakin, or Obi-Wan, or any of the troopers she had slowly begun to see as family were going to end up hurt.
She hated the way everything seemed to fall apart around her, like she was simultaneously still on the battlefield, while the silence around her of her rooms, or the place she hid herself up in seemed to echo around her. It felt like everything around her had tripled in size and she was still just there.
She’d somehow quickly become very acquainted with the torn feeling of not knowing if she wanted company, or if she wanted to hide under her blankets for hours until it all went away.
Anakin of course, would almost definitely comfort her if she was to ask, her Master was hardly one to follow the rules on attachment and limited physical affection, as would Master Kenobi; albeit in a more wordy way. But she felt guilty about it, she was a padawan commander in a war part of Yoda’s lineage, with some of the highest mission stats and recoveries; she should be able to handle all of this.
It’s this same comedown of floaty thoughts and shaky hands that lands Ahsoka curled up on the floor of some empty cupboard room she found, hands wrapping themselves around her arms in an almost bruising attempt at comfort. She felt pathetic, and she felt so horribly lonely.
She’s part-way through another round of a downhill spiral, her face feeling blotchy from crying for the better part of an hour, when she hears the quiet knocking on the closest door.
It startles her for a second, her heart racing as she wonders what time it even was, and who had managed to find her little hideout she’d decided it was.
She fumbles with the door lock for a moment, her hands as shaky as her legs feel right about now. She would so much rather be curled up in her bed asleep, but the idea of leaving was unbelievably horrible.
Her breath hitches as the door opens softly to Anakin standing on the other side, a look of concern that feels almost mismatched on the usually carefree face.
“Ahsoka! I’ve been looking for you, you okay?” Ahsoka and Anakin didn’t do emotions, not really; emotions were hardly any Jedi’s strongsuit no matter their lineage or training.
“Oh. Yeah I’m okay.” She hopes her voice sounds reassuring, but the way Anakin's eyes comb over her face,  makes her hyperaware of the former tear tracks that were drying on her cheeks, her face a patchy mess of colour.
“Are you sure? You look… less okay. Kix said you hadn’t stopped by medical yet.” The gentle worry makes Ahsoka’s eyes involuntarily well up with tears again, even as she tries to blink them away. Everything feels wrong, she hates missions.
“Oh ‘Soka.” Anakin said in a quiet utterance, before reaching forward to tug his padawan into a hug. It’s simultaneously the exact thing she wanted, and the worst thing that could possibly happen to her; as she promptly dissolved into distraught sobs.
“It’s okay, kid. After missions are always kriffed up. It’s normal to be upset.” Anakin’s been listening to Kix’s lectures on social interaction, Ahsoka thinks distantly through all this. She still has her head buried in the casual clothing of Anakin's less-formal robes, the material familiar beneath her hands; something almost grounding in the way her entire head feels like it’s been filled with cotton-balls.
She’s not sure how long she stands like that, Anakin’s arms bracketing her into a tight hug, just grounding enough as she sunk into the option of not thinking at all, allowing herself a singular moment of weakness in this all.
Somewhere along the way, they end up on the floor, her body half curled on the floor and against her master still. It felt stupidly like being back in the crèche when this was acceptable; it made her miss it more than anything.
“I’m sorry,” She mutters into Anakin’s shoulder, “I know I’m supposed to be above it, but it hurts and everything feels horrible and I can’t release it into the force, I’m just scared, I just feel…” She trails off as the words escape her, and Anakin makes a contemplative hum beneath her. The vulnerability makes her feel sick, but she knew she could trust Anakin more than anyone else she knew.
“Hey ‘soka, do you feel kinda floaty? Like when Kix gives relaxers?”
“I guess..?”
“Yeah? Like the world sort of is closing in on you?” Anakin sounds almost familiar with the feeling, and Ahsoka has a brief thought of maybe she wasn’t going completely and utterly insane.
She nods info Anakin’s shoulder, and Anakin squeezes her into a tighter hug as she fists the loose material of his outer robe, the actions grounding her back to the moment.
“That’s okay, padawan, it’s okay. I’ll be here as long as you need, yeah? It’s alright.” Ahsoka feels a new wave of tears start again, the full brunt of everything catching up with her all at once; how does she even have more tears left? Anakin runs a hand along her back, muttering soothing reassurances as she buries herself into him.
She didn’t care about what the Jedi would think, or if the men would find her, or what was going to happen next in this endless stupid war; right now all she knew was that Anakin was here and he got it, and he didn’t make her think of logistics and labels and everything; he, and the instant comfort was just there.

Concept art by John Park. From The Mandalorian, Season 1, Episode 5, The Gunslinger. Depicts the Mandalorian walking on Tatooine and viewing the helmets of stormtroopers weathered from exposure and battle and set on spikes. The shadows are long from them and the Mandalorian.
Din Djarin didn’t think much about the various ad hoc and formal tributes he’d seen to the fall of the Empire. The one on Tatooine was no different than the ones he’d seen on a dozen other planets. The Empire hadn’t been wanted or needed by anyone other than people who already had too much power. The vast majority of folks he met just wanted to live their lives and not have people steal from them or hurt their families.
He hadn’t been that different from them when he was a boy. He had his parents. He’d wished he’d had a little brother or sister, or even cousins, to give him someone else to talk to. He had friends. They had fun. It had been very nice, until the day the Separatists showed up with their damn battle droids.
What annoyed him still was that Aq Vetina wasn’t a planet of any strategic value. It wasn’t a lush farming world. It wasn’t a planet filled with kyber crystals or beskar or even the makings of dura-steel. No one important was from there. No one important had been hiding there. It had simply been home. Home until someone decided that it needed to be an example. Then Concordia became home.
The Mandalorian doubted that the people on Concordia had put up any monuments to the end of the Empire. They hadn’t put up any for the end of the Republic and given their attitudes about everything that had happened on Mandalore, they probably wouldn’t put up any for the new Mandalorian regime. They were a people used to hiding and that included hiding their sentiments on most things from everyone else.
He didn’t blame them. He had been that way for a large portion of his own life. He didn’t want to relive the past. He didn’t really want to remember it. Too many partings. Too much pain. Too much loss. He didn’t want to get trapped in the past. That had happened too many times when he was a boy. He wasn’t that boy any more and it had taken him a lifetime to learn that.
Occasionally, Grogu would ask him about that particular display on Tatooine. Each time he was asked he told his foundling a different answer. The first time he’d said something about knowing your own limitations. The next time he’d said it reminded the people of what they could do when they worked together. The time after that he’d said that the Imps themselves had done it to show how far their reach had extended. Now… now he just thought it was a bunch of crummy helmets suspended by pikes because that’s what it was.
Given what he and Grogu had seen of the Imp remnants that still roamed the galaxy with little interference from the New Republic, it was pretty clear to him that whatever value it had as a warning mechanism had been lost to time. People had wanted to move on in their lives, just as he had, and they did it by working very hard to ignore the shadow of the old Empire. Or it’s ghost, as Grogu called it.
Din Djarin had asked his son why it was a ghost and not a shadow. Grogu had replied that the things that cast shadows were real. Ghosts were the images of things that were no longer. As far as Din Djarin was concerned the threat of another Empire was very real and he wondered what Grogu knew that he didn’t know.
The Force and how it worked and how Grogu was able to use it for so many things, was still a mystery to him. He’d learned to accept that mystery, but he’d never learned to like it. He didn’t trust it. Jedi, Sith, Monks, Magicians, whatever you called them, they were people who used an energy that couldn’t be measured in any normal way. He didn’t like it. To him the Force was a ghost, except that he knew it was real. He’d seen what Grogu could do with it and what others could do as well.
So it was a shadow of something that was there but was too far away to see with anything like clarity. Who could use it. What they could do with it. What they couldn’t do with it. When it could or couldn’t be used. The how and the why of it…  If it was real it was a puzzle, not a mystery. To solve the puzzle he would need to find all the pieces first. Then he could set them out and see the picture they conveyed. But how do you find those pieces? They were like ghosts. The people he wanted to speak with were no longer there. The ones he could speak with didn’t know. If Grogu knew, he wasn’t saying.
He remembered seeing a plaque on the tower of Boba Fett’s palace on Tatooine. It was placed at an archway to the stairs that lead to the observation deck. It read ‘It doesn’t work because you believe. You believe because it works.’ That had certainly been true for him. He believed it the Force because he had seen it work. Grogu told him it had always been there, where ever there was, and it would always be there… as long as there were living things.
Perhaps that was why Grogu thought the Empire was a ghost. When looked at from that perspective, the Galactic Empire hadn’t even been a blink of the eye in the timeline of the Force, or Life for that matter. It came and went like hundreds if not thousands of other eras. Like the current one they were in would do one day as well.
Perhaps only Life mattered and the Force was just there to make sure that it had a chance to do just that?
The Mandalorian paused for a moment and let that sink in. If that was true, things needed to change. He just hoped he was able to change in that way. He owed it to Grogu to try. As his training officer used to say, it’s never too late to learn as long as you’re alive. He was alive, so it couldn’t be too late to learn and change.

Okay in reference to your tags on the Bode post you reblogged from me: I kinda had a theory you were the anon! And I'm honestly very glad to find someone who feels the same way about him because I haven't seen many other people (other than my sister) who do!
If you don't mind me asking, I have two questions for you: what did you think of the rest of Survivor, and what sort of Star Wars fan fic do you write? I saw you mentioned it in your bio!
Lol I do think I went through a few of your posts before sending that ask - but yes, I do agree! Bode is a lot more complicated than I think a lot of people give him credit for; he's a father and a man haunted by a lot of loss which doesn't excuse his actions, but does explain them and make me feel a good deal of empathy to him. I think there's actually a line when they're in the ISB base where Cal calls him a traitor and Bode is like...no, I'm a father
Which is really not an excuse for killing people Bode (but is a very good explanation for how he got where he is)
You said it a lot more eloquently lol
(interestingly, Bode is a sort of parallel to Anakin in some ways - killing and betraying people they see as family/very close friends for the people they love, even though it changes them into something unrecognisable that the person they love can't quite reconcile with)
I do not mind questions at all!
For fanfic, because that's the shorter answer, I write pretty much anything - legends, Kotor, swtor (to some extent, I haven't played through enough of it yet to do proper fic), og, rebels, tcw, extended universe stuff (and even a bit of the sequels although that has to be veru handpicked lol)
I have interacted with so much of the SW universe to some extent and it's such a good sandbox that I will dabble in writing anything lol
(currently I'm doing a lot of Kotor stuff as I finished survivor and decided to fill the hole with yet another playthrough of my favourite unfinished trilogy <3)
As for Jedi Survivor, Imma put my thoughts under the cut because I have...a lot of them lol (there will be spoilers)
I love the graphics, so SO much
Each planet felt different and unique and reminded me how much I loved to play JFO
Also the worlds felt a lot bigger? I think it's because I didn't really do much side stuff, just kinda beelined the plot so a lot of the side quest stuff was just kinda there as fun background NPC chatter lkl
MERRICAL! MERRICAL! MERRICAL!
It's being survivors of two separate genocides by the same tyrannical government and even when you search elsewhere, you still belong at each others side
And it's the Merrin talking Cal down when he's about to kill Denvik and it's Merrin giving Cal space to work out if he wants a relationship or if that wouldn't work but letting him know her own intentions
That moment on Jedha where she calms him down from a nightmare but then takes her own comfort just by being near?
And it's Merrin in general lol my darlingest fave <3
Also! After that kiss on Jedha after everyone has gone back in, my brother said (as a joke) "and now they have sex!" And then it immediately cuts to morning
Iconic moment
Also on Jedha - spamels! Someone out there went desert creature - so, a camel - a camel in space - so a space camel - a spamel
Which just makes me think of the tinned meat which is a...really weird thing to be thinking about
Greez opened a canteena! Monk, I love him - also Mosey
In fact, all of Ramblers Reach, I really like that they gave you a main base that's so...connected to people in this game??
Also that garden, I could spend all day in that garden
And the High Republic stuff! I still think it's weird that everyone is treating it as if it's ancient history when it's two hundred years ago BUT I really love the aesthetic and the story
I tried getting into the high republic books a while back but only managed one before I had to return them to the library, but this game has made me really excited for the high republic game and has inspired me to try and read the books again
Shout-out to Dagan Gera for being sufficiently unhinged for me to like him, and Rayvis for giving off massive Kotor!Mandalorian vibes
And Bode was a very interesting twist villain as looking back in the game, you can see it almost
(also my older brother called him being a traitor twelve minutes after meeting him which was either incredibly perceptive or he saw it online and is thing to make me think he's incredibly perceptive - either way, he got ridiculously pleased when he was proved right which did not fit with the mood of Cordova's murder lol)
And Kata! It's definitely going to be some time before she fully trusts Cal etc. etc. HOWEVER, we now have a daughter and that is wonderful (I'm living for the found family)
And CERE!
I WAS EMOTIONALLY DEVASTATED IT'S LITERALLY THE SECOND TIME CAL HAS HAD TO CRADLE THE BODY OF HIS DEAD MASTER YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH THIS HURTS ME
And it was the way Greez was so uncharacteristically ANGRY after Cere's death - and just- dhhfjebidnde
On a less devastating note - Cal, my dude, should have had to have had time to recover from both the slash wound from Dagan and the blaster shot from Bode which were both to the upper torso
Like...they caused enough damage in the fight to be a weakness but you can just walk it off apparently??
I don't think so
(I am going to write fic about this, probably)
Zee - I was so suspicious of Zee to begin with because she was so cheery but her voice kinda sounded like Nikola from the Magnus Archives and like-
Yeah I was fully expecting betrayal from Zee right up until we got back to Rambler's reach and I realised...she's just cheery, that's just her personality
I talked to her the bare minimum lol, I couldn't get creepy talking doll out of my head
That beginning sequence on Coruscant though?? That moment with the Jedi Temple where Cal realises what's happened and you can see the horror and bone deep resignation within him (and that's probably the first time that he properly starts wondering if he can do anything about the empire, after all there's that whole plot where people are like...settle down a bit)
I honestly wasn't that attached to the rest of Cal's crew who died - apart from Mags, literally JUSTICE FOR MAGS 2023, SHE DESERVED BETTER
There were so many little bits that made me genuinely laugh and feel things throughout the game and it felt a lot like Star Wars which is a big thing in its own right
Also Cordova being there threw me off but it was a nice surprise, if a bit weird lol as I was fairly convinced he was dead/in the unknown regions - but hell, I kinda understand it (even if us finding him in the last game might have made his appearance a bit more understandable)
I do have some things I'm not so happy with (some story choices in particular, and the way they presented Cal's slow descent to the dark side being the main ones) but I'm overall really happy with the game
It was the sequel that jfo deserved and it was it's own game in it's own right and I really enjoyed playing it - now I've finished the story, I'll probably stop doing such intense playing, but I do genuinely want to 100% complete it which says a lot, because I don't usually have the patience to do that
There's so much I could probably say that I can't think of now (and I don't think I've said anything about BD-1 which is a travesty of the highest proportions because my boy <3 I missed you <3 I'm so glad you're here and thriving <3) and I'm not really getting into the things I disliked because it would bring the post down (and also I need to be a bit more eloquent and a bit more awake for that one lol)
Anyway, thank you very much for the ask :D it made my evening, ngl, I love talking about star wars

“Father”
This is a part of my new ‘Book of Heroes’ series, but I wanted to post it right away
It’s a story of Jace Malcom receiving an unexpected guest. It takes place days after SWTOR: Annihilation, and is a variant of the first scene I dreamed up for my OC Jasme
Jace was home at 1800 sharp today.  He had been giving himself some time lately, perhaps due to the recent revelation which had shaken his life. For over twenty-four years, he had been a workaholic. Satele had been the last person he had given his heart to. After her sudden radio silence, he had dived into his work with a near all-consuming abandon. The Supreme Commander Malcom would not have taken the risk of defending Duro a few months ago; but with the knowledge that he had a son, had been willing to gamble. To hope.
It had made him reflect on a lot of things that he had done over the years. The many hard decisions which Satele would have condemned as actions of the Dark Side. He wondered now, this late in his life, if they had been truly necessary.
The idea that he had family… softened him, somehow. Made him more alive than he had been in years; pulled him out of the hard, ruthless soldier he had decided he was.
He entered his apartment, returning his sentries’ salute, and immediately hit the shower.
He groaned as the hot stream began loosening his muscles, and cleansing his mind. When he got out, he saw that someone had been trying to reach him. Despite the mess of emotions he felt after the past month, he decided to call back, just in case it was something urgent.
“Good evening, Grand Master.”
Her eyes did not linger on his body, but she gave him the soft smile that had once driven him crazy. “Good evening, Supreme Commander. I hope I’m not interrupting?”
“No, not interrupting, but I need to ask if this is urgent.”
She tilted her head at the question, and Jace felt a little weary.
“Not ‘urgent’, exactly, but one of the Order’s brightest Archivists has asked to meet you. I was hoping you’d accept her request.”
“Didn’t think the Grand Master would have time to petition on behalf of a lowly Archivist.”
“Unfortunately, time is a luxury these days. But Jasme’s a special case.”
“Well, I’ll see what she has to say,” Jace grunted. “But I can’t promise her more than twenty minutes of my time.”
That more than merely amused her; he’d never seen her toss her head back and laugh so hard before. “I’d wager five hundred credits—and a date in the Grande—that you’ll give her more time than that. Have a good evening, Jace. Be nice to her.”
Jace felt disconcerted but sighed. He threw a standard physical training uniform, the sort he wore casually around the house, as well as the more casual of gatherings for soldiers. He was just about to notify his security about a guest, when he got another call, this one from Theron.
“What is it, Theron? I’m sorry to keep this brief, but I’m about to receive a guest.”
“Yeah, that’s what I was calling about,” His son gave him a rather happy smile. “I heard Jasme’s coming over.”
“You know her?”
“Quite well. I thought I’d give you the head’s-up. She’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met; kind, thoughtful, and honest. In fact, the Jedi often say this about her; she’s the happiest drop of sunshine in the Galaxy. You don’t have to feel like this is some big news interview.”
“Got it. I’ll try not to make her cry.”
And now he was treated to a roar of laughter from his son. “That’s like, the last thing I’ll ever worry about! No one hurts Jasme. Enjoy the evening, Commander.”
Jace was really feeling stumped now. What the blazes was going on? Was he having some strange dream?
Corporal Gibson called in before he could recover. “Sir, you have a visitor from the Jedi Archives. One ‘Jasme’.”
“Send her in.”
He headed over to his bar and began pulling out glasses and plates. He heard the main door open, and spied the young woman as she entered the room.
“Come in,” he said politely. “Please, have a seat. Is there anything I can get you?”
“Whatever you prefer, Sir,” she gave a very gracious bow that he only half-caught. “I’m sorry to intrude on your personal time, but…”
“It’s alright. I have the greatest of respect for scholars and researchers,” he assured her. While it was not entirely true, he did respect the need for such people. They were the ones who would tell past generations how to do better; by telling them what mistakes to avoid, or what paths to follow in difficult situations. He himself had used knowledge presented from the Jedi Archives to plan particularly interesting but obscure manoeuvres. “I take it you’ve come to talk about the Battle of Duro?”
“Erm… only tangentially, Sir. There’s a more important matter I need to discuss with you. Allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Jasme.” She paused as he put the bottles of Chandrillan blue and Corellian Nectar on the counter. “Jasme Shan.”
He wheeled around in surprise, looking at her head on for the first time. She gave him a sunny smile, then bowed again. “I am Jasme Shan, and I am Theron’s twin sister. Your daughter. You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this.” She frowned slightly. “I can’t believe Theron found out before I did. I thought I had the advantage, being around Mom all the time! And I heard he wasn’t even looking!”
“Please, slow—slow down.” He staggered to a chair
“I’m sorry, Sir,” she apologized. “Bad habit. I ramble.”
“No, no! Don’t be!” His befuddled brain finally made sense of what Satele had said. There was no way he would be throwing this woman out. “Don’t be!”
He didn’t need proof, he could see it. Unlike his son, this girl was not a halfway between each parent. She had Satele’s figure and face, the same shape of her eyes, and nose. Her eye color though… it was the same brown as his. Her complexion was the same as well.
And she had his height too, she was one of the few human women he had met, who could look him straight in the eye.
“Here! I’ll get those drinks! Please, just sit down. I know it’s a lot to process.” She moved behind the bar and began mixing the drinks. He watched her as she poured them out, the daze fading at last.
She was wearing a form-fitting, long scarlet gown made of a bright scarlet fabric, and intricate golden embroidery. There was a holdout blaster belted to her slim waist, and knee-length black boots on her feet. She wore a bracelet on her wrist which had a lovely yellow crystal embedded in it, a crystal Jace was certain was used in Lightsabers.
She sat down beside him, carefully placing the drink in front of them. “So… has it started to sink in yet?”
“A little… why didn’t Theron…?”
“He was too stunned to mention it the first time you met him. And after… well, he called me as soon as he got his wits back. And I asked him if I could break the news myself, once the Ascendant Spear crisis had ended.”
“I see. Makes sense, I suppose.” He frowned at a sudden realization. “Wait! You knew about the Ascendant Spear? That was supposed to be top secret!”
“I helped Master Gnost prepare.”
“Ah, of course. He’s an archivist too.”
“The Master of the archives!” she smiled. “My boss.”
Jace chuckled, and took a sip of the cocktail. “So…”
She tilted her head. “Well… honestly, I’m at a loss too. I’ve dreamed of finding you for so long, but…”
“You said you had the upper hand over Theron, because you were with Satele all the time...”
“It wasn’t easy, but I wormed my way back into her life. By the time I appeared on her doorway, she had found her balance as a Jedi—there was no more a fear of Falling to the Dark Side. She accepted me back in, though she never stopped saying she didn’t deserve it. For what she did to us. But I forgave her, for my part.”
“I see…”
“She… hurts a lot behind her mask,” Jasme confided. “Always sad, always melancholy. I try to help where I can.”
“That’s… good. It’s good for people to have someone looking out for them.”
“But she—” Jasme shook her head. “I’m sorry, Sir. I came here to talk about you. And about us. If I may, I’d like to talk about her later.”
Jace felt his hope rise. “Does that mean…?”
She took a few deep breaths. “I want your permission to be your daughter,” she said firmly. “I’d like to meet you as often as I can. If you’re able to hear me call you ‘Dad’, that would be fantastic, but I can see how that would feel weird right off the bat.”
Jace swallowed a lump in his throat, but for the first time in years, he couldn’t contain his emotions. He wiped away moisture from his eyes that Jasme did not comment on, but when he opened his eyes, he saw her looking delighted.
“I… I would love that,” he informed her.
“Yes!!!” she did a charming little victory dance before looking at him again. “Um. Also if you don’t mind, I’m something of a hugger…”
“It’s not my style, but…” he laughed his first genuine laugh in years. “I’ll get used to it!”
He felt her arms lock around him the second he got the words out. He inhaled in shock as he returned the hug. This was really happening!
She held on tightly for a few seconds before chuckling. “You reacted exactly the way Mom and Theron did before they got used to this. Guess I’m the standout in this family! Not that that’s a bad thing.”
“Would you be okay if I let people know that you’re my daughter?”
She nodded enthusiastically. “That would be great! I don’t like sneaking around, giving people the wrong impression…”
“I take it the Jedi don’t know about your relationship to Satele.”
She chuckled ruefully. “We haven’t told many people about it. Not that that means much. I’m rather like her in some ways. And a lot of people know my connection to one ‘Theron Shan’. That should be enough to set tongues wagging.”
“I wanted to ask him why he kept her name,” Jace said. “He clearly… has issues with Satele.”
“He’d say it’s an act of defiance,” Jasme’s eyes shone with mirth. “I think it’s love. He tried so hard to get into the Academy, to be close to her. To understand her motives better. When he was denied… he was heartbroken.” Her humor vanished at that. “He cried for weeks before he disappeared. He’d send me messages every now and then, but it wasn’t until recently that I met him again. He can’t let go of her. Of his family. I’m certain Mister ‘I don’t talk about my feelings’ didn’t tell you this, but he was pleased when you found him. He'd given up on being a son, but soon after your talk…”
“Everything changed,” Jace finished. “I know the feeling.”
“He feels… more secure in the galaxy now. Calmer.”
“He thinks about more than just his job?”
She snorted. “Yeah. He came to meet me for the first time in years. He’s starting to feel wanted again, by more than just me. I’m glad.”
“Why aren’t you enough?”
“I… I’ve thought about it for years, and I still don’t have an answer. Maybe he wanted the right to feel angry? Maybe he found me annoying? I can be needy sometimes. Maybe he was ashamed. Maybe he needed someone who made him feel special; since I try to be everyone’s friend.”
“I don’t think it’s a ‘you’ problem. He… he called me before you came. He said you were the nicest person in the galaxy. Said no one hurts you.”
She laughed. “Not to my face, anyway. But I was a little hurt when he walked out on me. And a couple of other times in my life. We’ll get to those later.”
“Of course. I’d like to know everything there is about you.”
She thought for a moment, then gave him a slightly mischievous grin. “Are you absolutely sure you want to publicly accept me as your daughter?”
“Yes,” Jace smiled.
“Then you should know, I’m going to abuse that privilege,” her eyes sparkled again. “I’m going to introduce myself to some of your co-workers, and make them my collaborators.”
“Collaborators?”
“Yes. They’re going to be accessories in my plot to get you to live a healthier lifestyle. Get you to leave work at 1800, eat your meals on time, and so forth. Maybe even get their help fitting me into your schedule.”
“Ah,” he felt a mix of consternation and satisfaction. “You are making me nervous!”
“Good. I’d like to create a new comfort zone for you, one which allows me to drop in more often.”
“You will be welcome anytime,” Jace smiled.
She laughed again, and he realised that he felt a deep happiness whenever he heard that sound. A type of joy he’d long hoped to feel as a young adult, but had abandoned as time had passed.
He was… pleased. He had a son. And a daughter who already loved him, not half an hour after meeting him. Someone who made it clear she was going to fuss about his well-being in a way few did anymore.
The thought shattered some dam which had been standing in his chest for nearly thirty years, and a tidal wave of emotion burst forth which he had suppressed.
But Jasme held him as he wept, and for the first time in his life, he felt like he was home.

Swimming In Absence
The war was drowning them all.
Like an ancient god, Sheev Palpatine controlled the tide of the Dark Side until it rose above the penultimate heights of the galaxy. Even the strongest swimmers gave way to the waves, the Jedi barely treading water.
Obi-Wan Kenobi rose to break the surface one final time, blinded by sunlight. He smiled at the kind-hearted man he spent most of his days with, joked with him, and then turned away on his mount toward the cliffside. And just as he could see a brighter future, where he could stand fast on land again, he was dragged down into icy depths.
Three years is 94,608,000 seconds. Obi-Wan would spend the final seconds of the war alone and confused.
"This wasn't supposed to happen." The phrase echoed over and over in his head as he tumbled down. The wind tossed him around like a youngling's rag doll, used and worn.
A sinister voice joined the mantra in his mind.
"Your time is over," the voice was bitter and familiar.
But Obi-Wan Kenobi was far more stubborn than the voice anticipated. He didn't have time for death and refused to give anything the satisfaction of seeing him to it. So, instead of surrendering to gravity, he took a deep breath and reached out with the Force.
Below him was a deep pocket of water, and if he could time it just right—
The plunge stung like hell, but he'd had worse.
Things were silent below the surface. The Force felt so vast and unforgiving that it was inaccessible. The light that usually surrounded him blinked, flickered, surged, and died.
Boga went quiet, his men went quiet, and Cody went quiet. And then, life took an eerie, awful oath of silence all around the galaxy. Like it was keeping a sinister secret from him.
Obi-Wan went limp underwater, taking wheezing breaths with his rebreather.
He was a patient man, so while he waited for safety, he swam after the dark shadow that sank next to him. There was unexplainable grief that settled tightly in his chest as he grabbed onto one of Boga's long claws. He had been led to her by the Force, and she had carried him faithfully to victory— finally, victory—  against Grievous. It had been his responsibility to return her to her caretakers, to ensure that she would live out the rest of her days in peace. Instead, that opportunity was ripped from her as soon as Obi-Wan's cannons blasted the mountainside. She hit the water hard. He could only hope that her pain had been brief.
"This wasn't supposed to happen."
Obi-Wan thought of Cody, who had seemed nothing but pleased mere moments before.
Something frigid and rough tugged at his insides as he finally let go of Boga's claw. Cody had wanted him dead. He was sure of it. Obi-Wan wanted, more than anything, to be wrong. He wanted Cody to have made a horrible mistake, some freak tactical error. But even a man who knew Cody for a minute could recognize his genius. There was no mistake, and Cody had not missed his target. He never did.
Obi-Wan swallowed bile at the thought of Cody with his brown eyes, fading scar, affectionate smile, charming laugh, and unwavering strength, deciding for whatever demented reason that Obi-Wan was a threat. If Obi-Wan could make it to the surface, if he could just move his frozen muscles, maybe he could convince everyone that he wasn't a danger, that it had all been a mistake. After all, that must have been why Cody shot him. For the good of all the men.
Instead of moving, he floated with a splitting headache as he probed The Force to ensure he would be safe. If no droids remained on the surface, he could safely make his way across the battlefield and confront Cody about what happened.
Alas, The Force remained impenetrable, and his stomach rolled. He tried again, chipping slowly at the walls of whatever darkness was being kept from him. When he finally broke past the floodgates, he was greeted with death. Death everywhere. So much of it.
He caught glimpses of his friends, his family, and his home being gunned down by men that looked just like his.
There was something off about them, too. The men all felt the same. That had never been the case before; each clone had a personality of their own, an identity of their own. Now even that familiarity was washed away with all else, a rotting hive mind replacing the beauty of individuality.
He tried to turn away, to go back, but he remained trapped in the unforgiving waters as he thrashed and struggled to escape.
Anakin, he tried to reach out, Anakin. What's going on? This wasn't supposed to happen. We won. It's over. This wasn't supposed to happen. Anakin, please.
He received no such mercy as a response and was instead met with an uncomfortable static in place of Anakin's usual Force signature. There was something heavy in it, something consuming that made Obi-Wan uneasy.
When he pushed his way to the surface and slunk away from the still-raging battlefield, he cast one last look at Cody over his shoulder. Even at a distance, something had changed in his commander's stature. Instead of his familiar warmth, Obi-Wan felt an empty, freezing void prick at him from a distance.
Cody, he thought, swallowing guilt so thick it was suffocating, I'm so sorry. This wasn't supposed to happen.
He never saw his commander again.

Posthumous Admiral's Log - Entry 32
My afterlife is once again a cloud of stress and disarray. I can scarcely decide where to begin. It is all one great mess.
Firstly, the meeting with Zevulon went poorly. He is just as recalcitrant in his fifties as he was when he was five, and he despises me in death even more than when I was alive. We lasted not even a minute into the visit before he exorcised me. I suspect he would have done the same with Max if that were not impossible. That’s the odd thing about exorcisms. A spirit can be exorcised multiple times, but not twice by the same living soul. It’s a little like immunization that way. Zevulon used up his one exorcism of Max decades ago during our first Posthumous Mandatory Familial Bonding Day after the tragic collapse of the Empire.
So, for the rest of the time, I simply floated awkwardly amidst the clouds in the afterlife, wondering what was going on between Max and Zevulon. Eventually, Max returned. He apologized for the entire ordeal, and I reassured him that it wasn’t his fault. Zevulon is 57, after all. I doubt Max and I would have any power to dictate his abominable and traitorous life choices even if we were alive.
Still, Max apparently hollered at Zevulon for exorcising me with enough vitriol to blow out the Holonet router in the Resistance base. It appears the damage was significant, and the Rebel Scum will be without Holonet access for a good long while. I am happy that some good came from this. It just goes to show how great of a man Maximillian Veers is. Few people can bring such sorrow to the Rebel Scum in death.
Lord Vader counseled me not to be too upset by the failed meeting with Zevulon. He claims that the younger generation takes a while to warm up to people but that Zevulon will learn to like me in time. He then proceeded to tell me about a morbid personal story I did not ask for.
“When I first met my son, he tried to decapitate me,” Lord Vader told me. “Of course, he did not succeed, because he was not yet a Jedi, but I could not speak with him in such a state. So, I threw many pieces of scrap metal at him and cut off his hand. Then, we could talk. But before I was done telling him what I needed to say, he fell down a hole and then escaped on board the Millennium Falcon. I would have gotten more time to talk with him if we had captured the Falcon. However, you let it get away.”
At this point in the story, Lord Vader’s mood darkened, and his eyes appeared abnormally inflamed again.
“I thought of killing you then,” Lord Vader said. “I thought of wringing your neck on the bridge, dropping your lifeless corpse into the tech pit, and promoting MSE-91 to admiral. But then I turned around and saw how sad you looked. So, I went back to my meditation chamber, and I decided that I didn’t need to kill you then, because I could always kill you later if you failed me again. You didn’t fail me again, of course, and then, we both died, and I gave up killing people.”
Hoping to change the subject, I offered Lord Vader the eyedrops. He gave me a perplexed look. I explained to him that his eyes appeared to have some form of conjunctivitis, thinking he’d be appreciative. Instead, he grew more upset.
“Are you implying there is a problem with my eyes, Admiral?” he said. “I have no use for eye drops.”
I thought to apologize for the confusion but then remembered what happened to Needa. So, I hurriedly promised I would not offer him eye drops any longer and excused myself, claiming I needed to report to Grand Moff Tarkin.
In fact, I wanted nothing more than to return to my pocket dimension and weep over this latest set of failures. However, it seems my lie got the better of me. Before I could reach my sanctuary, I was stopped by the Grand Moff who berated me for falling behind on our upcoming holiday hauntings to ruin the Rebel holiday of Life Day. It was immediately clear that I would have no rest or reprieve.
Resigned to this newest flood of stress, I toiled away planning the holiday haunting in utter misery. I do not know how long I went on like this. Hours or days… it is all the same in the afterlife. Only Tarkin seems to have a sense of time, enough to rail against us for falling behind schedule, at least. As the planning dragged on, I felt as if I was losing my mind. All the Stormtroopers, Death Troopers, Shore Troopers, Snow Troopers, and Flame Troopers began to blur together, and I nearly forgot that they were all part of the army and therefore not under my command for haunting missions.
I was at my wits’ end when I saw Moff Jerjerrod idly floating by. Saying as he was clearly unoccupied, I asked him for assistance. However, the nerfherder refused me. He prattled on about how he had already made plans for the upcoming Fete Week season and how the afterlife ought to be a place of rest.
What followed immediately afterwards is a bit of a blur. I believe I may have reached what some might consider a “breaking point”. I do not recall exactly what I said to Jerjerrod, only that I was very cross and shouted at him. He flew off crying to Admiral Motti at the end of it.
Everyone has been acting odd around me since then. Tarkin says I did well by asserting my authority, so I suppose I should be proud of myself. However, Motti has started sending me death threats. Granted, these are not very threatening, given my current lack of a life to lose, but I am still feeling uneasy. Motti is a bit of a wildcard. He’s the sort of man who would file an incident report to HR against Lord Vader, in sort, not to sort of man I’d want to make enemies with.
So, presently, I have earned the enmity of my stepson, offended Lord Vader with eyedrops, upset Jerjerrod to the point of tears, and enraged Motti to the point he now wishes to challenge me to a fistfight in an alley. And besides all this, I have another haunting to plan.
I suppose I have been through worse. I always thought that all the torment I endured in life would prepare me for whatever followed. I hope this will hold true.
- Admiral Piett

~Obi-Wan Kenobi Fic~
A.N: This is my first fic and I’m not the best writer. Feedback is always appreciated! Hopefully, the people like this because it was fun to write this first chapter. Lots of thoughts and ideas when the show first came out. Decided to finally bring them to life! much love, author ✍🏽
Chapter 1: A Dreadful Night on Coruscant
“Fear leads to Anger, Anger leads to Hate, Hate leads to Suffering.” Those were the words that echoed in her mind. Dianne Lumin, a Jedi Padawan, was startled awake by the sound of blaster fire in the Jedi Temple. Reaching for her lightsaber, she was unsure of what was happening. All she knew was that she had to check what was causing blaster fire to sound in the Temple. Unsure of what she would find, she opened her quarter’s door and slowly peered out, taking a deep breath. Clutching her one savior, what she saw sent her stumbling back.
Had what she seen been real? Clones… hundreds of clones… in the temple? Not just in the temple, no. They were destroying it. They were executing… no… they were executing all the Jedi. Her friends, her family, the only life she had ever known. Dianne, coming to her senses and remembering her training, slowly crept back to the still-open door and slowly made her way out into the ensuing chaos. She knew that she had to get out for it was her only chance of surviving this… this genocide.
Slowly she made her way down the giant hall of the temple. Aware of the destruction and carnage in front of her, Di made sure to keep her eyes firmly forward and most importantly… vigilant. Over the temple’s intercom, she heard the same one and ever repeating order. “Execute Order 66.” blasted throughout these once great halls. Unsure of what the order was, but not wanting to stay and find out, Dianne made her way to the main entrance of the temple. She knew this was a risky move, with all the clones being around, but she didn’t really have many options. As she made her approach, a group of clones who were stationed at the entrance saw her and aimed their blasters at her. The Coruscant Guard, the men whom she had grown to know and befriend, were now her opposite. She could only guess they were there to make sure no Jedi tried to escape. The years of training kicked in, finally, and she deflected many of the blaster shots being fired in her direction. Getting hit a couple times, she eventually bested them, deflecting most of the shots back to them. One by one, they fell. One by one, she lost a part of herself. She was a Padawan after all, she still had so much to learn. So much to do. She knew she couldn’t die here, she wouldn’t. So, she ran. Dianne Lumin, Jedi Padawan, ran from what was once her sanctuary. Her safe place, a place where she was among her kind. Quickly thinking where she could go to, where was safe, a place entered her mind. Not once did she stop or falter. In that moment. she knew that if she gave herself even a second to process and think about what she had just witnessed, it would be her undoing.
Tumblr media
Standing on her balcony, Padmé overlooked the city, but her focus wasn’t on the many speeders, or people, not even the protocol droid her husband built many moons ago when he was only nine years old. Her focus, instead, was on the smoke billowing out from the Jedi Temple. As the tears formed in her eyes, she cried not knowing how something like this could have happened. Better yet, why it was happening. Upon hearing the entrance to her apartment open and then quickly close, her unwavering gaze finally broke and she checked to see who it was at this hour. When she saw Dianne standing there, almost shaking, she ran to her and hugged her tightly. Her bump allowed for some space, but not much. “Oh, thank the Maker, Dianne! You’re okay, I-,” the Padawan could sense the fear and confusion in her friends voice.
“Padmé, I’m alright. I- I don’t know what happened. The clones, they…” Padmé’s friend blinked tears from her eyes. “They turned on the Jedi. Something about an Order 66. I honestly don’t know what happened.”
Finally allowing herself a moment to breathe and process everything, Dianne walked over to the balcony Padmé stood at not to long ago. Overlooking the same sight, she thought about what she had seen, what she had done, what had happened. Padmé made her way over and just stood next to her. For what felt like forever, they just watched in horror.
After a few minutes, Padmé turned to her friend, “You’re hurt, Dianne. Let me help you… please.” Dianne, without looking away from the fire, nodded slowly. So much fear and so much fire had slowly started seizing her heart and thoughts. She wanted so bad to understand.
“The voice was Palpatine’s. It was on his order…” her voice almost a whisper, “He ordered us dead.” Padmé called for her medical droid and Dianne, albeit begrudgingly, sat while the droid sprayed bacta on the wounds inflicted in her escape.
~~
An hour passes before the sound of a speeder is heard. Dianne shoots up, and as quickly as her tired body would allow, she hid behind a half-wall. Intently listening to the conversation that was being held on the small landing platform.
“I came to see if you and the baby were alright,” that voice… she had heard it many times before. Anakin Skywalker. Dianne sat there wondering why he was there. Why was he worried about the child Padmé was carrying… unless. No, it couldn’t be true. Attachment was against the Jedi Code. Love was against the Jedi Code. Anakin Skywalker, her friend, her mentor… had a child? With Padmé? She was always secretive about who the father was, never wanting to give a name or details. It all made sense now, however, as to why she was so private with that information.
So many emotions. So many thoughts. All running ramped in her head. Questions she believed would never be answered. “They’re sending me to the Mustafar system…” Dianne couldn’t breathe. She was only sixteen years old, she shouldn’t have to process all of this grief, trauma, loss, and information. She couldn’t handle it… but she did. After a few more minutes of talking, Anakin left the way he came. Waiting a few moments more, Dianne emerged from her hiding spot. Grateful Padmé had not told Anakin about her. In truth, Dianne wasn’t on the forefront of her mind when her husband arrived. Padmé stood on the balcony and wept, more confused than ever before. Running to her friend, Dianne wrapped her arms around her.
“Hey, it’s alright. He’s going to be alright. However, in all honesty, she didn’t know if that was the truth. She didn’t know if everything was alright. If Anakin was going to be alright. If anything would ever be alright again…

Ven Drace (My Main Star Wars OC)
(Ven is my only self insert OC that I decided to keep female. She was my first ever Star OC. She’s less of a self insert now but still has aspects of myself)
Tumblr media
(all my art of Ven is old and bad so here’s a picrew)
Other characters in her story: Jin (mother), Aaron (Father)
Picrew: SACRXM
Birth Year: 20 BBY
Age: depends on where you are in the story (She’s a year older then Luke and Leia)
Species: Human, Corellian
Gender: Female, She/Her
Sexuality: Lesbian
Height: 5’3”
Ocupation: Pirate/Treasure Hunter
Force Alignment: Neutral, Light
—————————————————————————
Personality: She’s snarky and sarcastic. Very outgoing loves exploring and history. She’s very sensitive though and very strong willed. She will occasionally have darkside temptations.
Appearance: While in the empire she wore any training garment that was given to her. She has pale skin and freckles, light blue eyes, and red hair. During her time with empire she had it cut at shoulder length with a side braid along the left side of her head with all her hair pulled to the left, a padawan like braid (she didn’t realize it was padawan thing) on her left side and thick bangs almost covering her left eye. When leaving the empire she grew her hair out keeping generally the same style but with no padawan brain and her bangs so long that they covered the entire left side of her face. Her hair reached past mid back. Her store is typical civilian ataire easy to move and fight in with lots of compartments and pockets to hide things. She has a silver necklace with the symbol of the jedi but she hides that beneath her shirt.
Weapons: DL-44 heavy blaster pistol, thermal detonator (For emergencies), Green lightsaber using her mothers hilt, white inquisitor lightsaber (she typically wields it single bladed) and J26O (Custom built assassin droid)
—————————————————————————
Ven’s Story so far:
Early Childhood: Ven was the daughter of Julana Drace (Jinera Vestria), an ex Jedi Master, and Arron Drace a mercenary. She was born in a small house in the backwater part of corellia. She was trained as a jedi by her mother from the age of 2, though her father was unaware. She never really understood what the training was for but it instilled a strong sense of morals and connection ti the light side of the force even though she wasn’t aware. While hidden in a bunker in her house at the age of 5 her parents were killed in circumstances unknown to her. She was found and put in an orphanage. After only a few days there, she was adopted by Imperial Commander Jal Zays, as a his wife Min was infertile and they wanted a little girl.
Life on Corsocaunt: Ven spent roughly a year and half with the family. She enjoyed her quaint and quiet life on coruscant. Min and their nurse droid were very kind and she enjoyed when fun loving Jal could come home from work. The only possessions from her previous home that she had was her mothers lightsaber hilt, which for reasons she kept hidden even though she was never quite sure why, and a stuffed rancor. She had frequent visits from Vader during these times and she could tell the tension between him and her family. She was unaware of his power but sensed his darkness and feared him. One day Ven woke up and found Min crying. She tried to tell the child that she was okay but Ven unknowingly looked into her mind and saw the repeated playback of a star destroyer being blown to pieces. Ven didn’t understand why but she knew Jal was on that ship.
Life in the Empire: Later she found out that Jal had been rapidly promoted to Admiral by Vader for unknown reasons and sent to the front lines where his star destroyer was destroyed. The empire suspected foul play and while she clearly had no hand in it Min was arrested for the offense. Ven could only stand and watch as min was dragged away by troopers. She was then told to gather her things and she instinctively buried her mother’s hilt at the very bottom of her stuff. She was then taken to the Executor by Vader and began training with other abducted children.
At the age of 10 due to her apparent lack of progress in the darkside due to her foundational training as a jedi when she was little she was separated from the other children and isolated continuing her training alone to try and break her resolve. She was trained by inquisitors to be one of the emperor’s hands and only kept alive because of her immense power in the force. She was referred to by many as the Princess of the empire or the Emprer’s Princess, or Princess of death as she was forced to become an imperial assassin and executioner.
As she got older she began to put the pieces together about her life. Like what her mother was and what she had taught her, what had befallen her adoptive parents, and most shockingly the fact that her birth parents had been murdered by inquisitors. This is why she was determined to cling to the light but as she got older things became more difficult. Her anger and frustration about her life drove her to the brink of madness the darkside became harder to resist. The only thing keeping her grounded was an imperial officer whom she had befriended. One day she was training and she lost it. She went full darkside and killed her inquisitor trainer taking his saber and fleeing the empire. After some time of mediation she returned to the light.
After leaving the empire: Ven became I pirate and treasure Hunter, hunting down old Jedi artifacts, getting a kyber crystal of her own. And eventually becoming a rebel informant. She also later in life meets Gen Jenis Jr. a rebel pilot who was the son or her late mother’s best friend. —————————————————————————-

Thoughts on Jedi Apprentice: The Only Witness
Okay, this is another book I hardly remember at all. After the previous three books, my interest in the series was seriously waning, so I've probably only read this book a couple times. Literally the only thing I remember about it is "Obi-Wan romance"??? I don't remember how all that works out, but if that's actually true, I can completely understand why this book was a hard pass from younger me. But let's see how it shakes out!
Jedi Apprentice #17: The Only Witness
Chapter 1
A few months have passed since the last book, and Qui-Gon is still deeply grieving Tahl's death. He knows he needs to accept the grief and move past it, but isn't even sure he wants to do that. But when the Jedi Council asks him if he's ready to take on missions again, he agrees.
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are sent to Frego, to protect Lena Cobral, an important witness to the Senate against the dangerous Cobral family, who run a crime ring that controls the government of Frego. Lena's husband Rutin was recently killed, and she wants to give the Senate vital information against the Cobral family to bring them down. Rutin was the one originally going to testify against his family, so that may be why he was killed.
My heart goes out to Obi-Wan, who wants to help Qui-Gon the same way he's helped Obi-Wan many times as he's dealt with grief and uncertainty, but Qui-Gon is rebuffing every attempt. It seems like he just wants to suffer alone all the time.
Chapter 3
When the Jedi reach Frego, a woman named Mica (Lena's cousin) leads them through the city to where Lena is hiding. She tells them about how Rutin wanted to get out of the crime ring, and at first planned to take it down from the inside once he became the leader of the family. But then his brother Solan found out about his plans and kicked him out, and so Rutin decided to take down the crime ring from the outside instead, and bring evidence to the Senate. But he was killed before he could do so, and now Lena wants to do what he could not. Unfortunately, she has no hard evidence against the Cobrals that she can bring to the Senate.
Qui-Gon is annoyed that Lena lied to the Jedi, since she doesn't actually have anything against them. At first, he wants to just go back to Coruscant, saying that Lena can't be trusted and thus they shouldn't provide her an escort to Coruscant. But Obi-Wan urges him to help her, because she's obviously in danger, and he senses that she's sincere in her desire to carry out Rutin's wishes, even if she did lie to them at first.
And that brings up another point...Obi-Wan is kind of smitten by Lena ^^' She's beautiful - I honestly kind of imagine her to look kind of like Padme - and he's immediately drawn to her earnest, honest demeanor and obvious need for support as she grieves the loss of her husband, whom she seemed to truly love. It makes sense that Obi-Wan would be attracted to someone like her, and he is 17 in this book. I've just never liked shipping him with anyone, so I don't like this plotline very much.
Chapter 4
The first step they take to find concrete evidence against the Cobrals is to go to the apartment Lena and Rutin shared, where Rutin kept the incriminating evidence. Unfortunately, someone has been there before them, ransacking the apartment and deleting all the information on Rutin's hidden computer. In its place, the only thing left on the computer is a message saying, "You cannot stop us. You can only die trying."
Lena doesn't know who could have deleted the information, since the computer wasn't connected to any network. But in order to get the information she needs, she decides to go and ask for help from her mother-in-law, Zanita.
Chapter 6
They go to the Cobral estate and sneak in, avoiding the gathering of the whole family to celebrate Rutin and Solan's brother Bard's birthday. Lena waits until Zanita leaves the main party, then goes and speaks to her alone while the Jedi listen in. Lena begs for Zanita's help, telling her that she suspects Solan of arranging Rutin's death. Rutin was Zanita's favorite son, and she clearly gets along well with Lena, so she eventually agrees to help get some incriminating documents to her, as long as her name will be left out of the investigation.
Lena and the Jedi sneak out and almost make it out without detection, but then right before they reach their speeder, a huge statue falls on top of it. If Obi-Wan hadn't gotten a warning in the Force just in time, they would all have been crushed along with the speeder. Zanita and a servant from the kitchens, Juno, rush out to see what happened. Juno is acting rather suspicious and hostile towards them, but Lena and Zanita manage to pass off the Jedi as friends, and then they take one of Zanita's speeders and leave before anyone else sees that they were there.
Chapter 9
Lena takes them by a circuitous route back to her hidden living quarters, in case they were being followed. When they get there, Mica shows them a package that arrived, addressed to Lena. She says it's in Rutin's handwriting. Once Qui-Gon makes sure the package isn't booby-trapped, they open it and find nothing inside but some boots and a vial of dirt.
Mica steps into the next room to prepare some food, and Obi-Wan follows her. While they're alone, Qui-Gon asks Lena about how the package could have gotten here, since no one is supposed to know she's staying here. He asks about Mica's loyalty, but Lena is confident Mica would never betray her. They are cousins, but grew up like sisters, and Mica has no love for the Cobral family, since they killed her mother right in front of her. Nevertheless, Qui-Gon is suspicious that Mica may have revealed Lena's whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Obi-Wan follows Mica and discovers that she's trying to escape. He catches up to her before she can leave the building, and demands to know what's going on. Mica reveals that she was the one who erased Rutin's files. She doesn't think Lena will be able to bring the Cobrals down, so out of fear for her own life as well as Lena's, she's trying to stop her from testifying against them. But when she got to the apartment, she saw a couple thugs ransacking the place, as if looking for something. They ran off as soon as they heard her coming. But, to Obi-Wan's surprise, Mica reveals that she wasn't the one who left the threatening message on Rutin's computer. Who could have done so?
Chapter 12
Qui-Gon goes to see where Obi-Wan's got to, and Obi-Wan tells him about Mica's treachery (and remorse). I was surprised when Qui-Gon actually confronts Obi-Wan pretty bluntly about his obvious attraction to Lena, and how his infatuation may conflict with the mission and make it impossible for him to see any potential flaws or deceptions on Lena's part.
When they return to the main room, they discover that Lena has disappeared. Mica has an idea of where Lena might have gone, and takes them to the Tubal Park, a sort of greenhouse open to the public, filled with plants and fountains, one of Lena's favorite places to go when she needed to think. They split up to look for Lena, Qui-Gon staying with Mica while Obi-Wan goes on his own.
Obi-Wan doesn't want to admit that Qui-Gon was right about him, especially because it feels rather hypocritical for Qui-Gon to chide him for letting his feelings get in the way of the mission, when he's still reeling from the loss of Tahl, and up to this point almost seemed like he wasn't even invested in the mission. But the more he thinks about it during his search, the more Obi-Wan has to admit that Qui-Gon is right. He's falling for Lena, but he doesn't think that's why he's convinced she's trustworthy. Qui-Gon is suspicious of her, but Obi-Wan believes she is honest about wanting to expose the Cobrals.
They don't find Lena, but when they return to the hideout, she's there waiting for them. When they ask where she's been, she responds vaguely, saying she needed to think and figure out what Rutin was trying to tell her when he sent the clues to her. He's the only other one who knew about the hideout, so he must have sent the package there just in case he died and Lena would have to carry on without him.
Chapter 14
It turns out that, while Lena was out, she went by her old apartment, and found a datapad left there by Zanita. It has a message on it for Lena, giving her a time and location to meet up. Qui-Gon doesn't think it's wise, because it could be a trap. But they don't really have any other leads to go on, so they have no choice. Lena wants to tell Zanita that she's decided to give up on giving the Senate evidence against the Cobrals, and just run away instead. Her hope is that Zanita will stop putting herself in danger that way.
Unfortunately, when they reach the location, Zanita shows up - being held as a hostage by her son Solan. Mica also turns up, trying to cover for Lena by saying that Lena was covering for her, and she is the one with the dirt on the Cobrals. Solan decides to just kill them both to cover all his bases, and sends some droids out to do the job. The Jedi burst out of their hiding place and fight the droids. In the scuffle, Solan shoots his blaster, and Obi-Wan is too slow to deflect the bolt. It hits Mica and kills her, and Solan escapes with Zanita.
Chapter 15
Weeping, Lena covers Mica's body, and they leave. Suddenly realizing what Rutin's clues mean, Lena takes them back to Tubal Park, and goes to a specific place that was special to them. They look around, and eventually find a panel in the floor hidden by moss. They break it open, finding a small chamber with water pumps, presumably for watering the plants in the park. Lena looks around in the small space and manages to find a small watertight tube.
I really liked this part that kind of brings everything full-circle: "Qui-Gon nodded. 'I, too, have wished I could have given my life to save another, one whom I had loved. But now I know that it is often harder to be the one left behind. I would not have wanted her to feel such loneliness, to go through the pain I have gone through.' ... Qui-Gon looked into Lena's eyes, and knew that his words were getting through to her. Surprisingly, he felt a lightening in his own chest as well. His grief for Tahl was still excruciating, but he suddenly knew that there would come a time when it would be possible to bear. And in his heart he was certain that Tahl would want him to carry on, too. She would have hated the way he had chosen to mourn her, he realized suddenly. He had allowed his grief to remove him from everyone who had tried to help him. Because the weight of his sorrow was so terrible, he could not lift his head to see that others mourned her, too. Obi-Wan. Yoda. Bant. Clee Rhava. The list was long."
Chapter 17
They go back to the hideout to check the contents of what they found. Sure enough, there's a datapad full of evidence against the Cobrals, exactly what they need to bring them down. They contact Frego's senator and make plans to go to Coruscant the next day to bring the evidence to him to present before the Senate. In the meantime, they try to get some rest.
Obi-Wan struggles with feelings of jealousy and guilt about why Qui-Gon confided in Lena about his grief, but not Obi-Wan. He worries that he doesn't know how to help Qui-Gon :'(
But partway through the night, Obi-Wan hears a scuffle in Lena's room, and rushes to investigate. There's an intruder who has tied and gagged Lena and is about to steal the datapad and leave. The Jedi knock him out, untie Lena, and retrieve the datapad.
The next day, they board the ship provided for them by Senator Crote, but Qui-Gon makes them sneak off and go in a different ship instead. When they're safely on their way, he explains that he saw the senator's seal on the man who tried to steal the datapad. He wasn't working for Solan, he was working for the senator. The corruption extends even to Senator Crote. As a final clincher, midway through their journey, they receive a call from Yoda, telling them that the ship they were supposed to be on has just blown up.
Chapter 19
Mace Windu meets them when they return safely to Coruscant. The Jedi escort Lena to the Frego consulate, where Lena freshens up in preparation for her speech to the Senate (Obi-Wan thinks she's more beautiful than ever, awwww!). Then (in a scene that reminds me so much of Queen Amidala in Episode I) she goes before the Senate and tells them everything, including how Senator Crote tried to have her silenced. He objects, but the evidence is all too clear. There is a vote, and then Senator Crote is removed from office, the Cobrals are to be arrested, and a new government will be put in place.
After a small party to celebrate, Lena decides to turn in for the night before returning to Frego. Obi-Wan lingers behind, reluctant to say goodbye since they'll probably never see each other again, and he happens to hear the sounds of a struggle (this poor girl has been kidnapped and snuck upon in her private rooms so often, she's bound to have trauma after this @_@). Listening through the door, Obi-Wan realizes that this time it's Zanita. It turns out she's actually the true power behind the Cobrals (and thus Frego itself), and she was furious when she discovered that her own son was working to bring them down. She was the one who ordered Rutin's death. Now she tries to kill Lena as well, but Obi-Wan bursts in just in time to stop her. He does so successfully, but unfortunately he isn't able to stop Zanita from killing herself with a vibroblade. It's all very Shakespearean.
Chapter 20
In the final chapter, Obi-Wan is going to say goodbye to Lena, and stops by Qui-Gon's room to see if he wants to come along. As they're walking, Qui-Gon reflects on how, even though Obi-Wan is still a boy, he's grown up so much and will soon be a Knight himself. They talk a bit about Lena, but I was surprised that they don't really address Obi-Wan's attraction to her at all. Obviously, he wasn't going to let it go anywhere; we know he's not going to leave the Jedi again or anything, and Lena never really seems to reciprocate his feelings. But it just feels like a loose thread they never quite tied up :/
Okay, the way the book ends is by far the best part of all: "Suddenly Qui-Gon stopped and turned to face his Padawan. 'I am the one who was lost, Padawan. You were generous and patient with me. And I needed that patience. I still carry the wound I suffered when I lost Tahl. I will for the rest of my life.' Obi-Wan nodded solemnly. 'I know,' he said softly. Qui-Gon placed a hand on Obi-Wan's shoulder. 'I am grateful for your efforts to help me through my pain. For a long time I was not ready to hear your words, but you were still right to speak them. Thanks to you I have found myself again--I have found a way to go on. Your words...you are a comfort to me. Thank you.' Obi-Wan let out a deep breath and smiled. 'You're welcome,' he said."

✩ WEEKLY FIC ROUND-UP ✩
All the fics I’ve read and really enjoyed in the past week-ish. Reminder: This list features any and all ratings and themes.
DC (Batman)
Latchkey by goldkirk
or, How Tim Drake Found A Family, Became A Photojournalist, Learned To Love Coffee, and Grew Up, not necessarily in that order.
Tim Drake is thirteen, runs the famous BatWatch blog that has spiraled hilariously out of control, has absentee parents that suit his purposes just fine, is training himself to run the streets at night, and is doing absolutely peachy, thank you.
Alfred and Jason disagree, and get Dick and Bruce involved in figuring out their weird nextdoor neighbor kid’s life. Everything goes uphill from there.
charity by Valkirin
The biggest downside of being adopted by Bruce Wayne is putting up with rich people events, including one where Jason will be in a room with a bunch of rich kids for a couple very long hours while Bruce goes to the adults' meeting. Jason is ready for a very bad time but the Drake kid listens to him from the start and keeps backing up Jason's ideas even though they've never met.
Jason warms up to Tim Drake long before Mad Hatter tries to take over the meeting and Tim backs him up again.
these fault lines (weren't drawn quite right) by RecklessWriter
“Never have I ever cheated on my girlfriend!” Roy snarled. The air stilled, and for a moment everything stopped.
A simple drinking game gives Jason an insight into the end of Dick and Kory's relationship. But it soon becomes clear that there's more to the story.
The Witcher
Winter Solace by Bedalk05
Geralt brings Jaskier to Kaer Morhen. It goes as well as could be expected.
Our Flag Means Death
do no harm, take no shit by holsmi
Mary Bonnet receives some uninvited guests.
Muster The Courage by twoseas
Stede does his best to make things right and that means taking his own advice and talking it through.
Featuring breakup era Blackbeard quickly turning back to domestic co-captain era Ed through the power of communication (and love), Stede being very good at a couple of things for once, and Izzy getting disrespected several times.
Clone Wars
This, too, was a gift by thosenearandfarwars
The Rako Hardeen mission was a success, but it left Obi-Wan Kenobi sick at heart after the empathic stresses of the mission, and questioning whether the mission was worth it. The troopers of the 212th welcome him back, wanting nothing more than to assure him he did the right thing, and Obi-Wan works to make their trust in him worth it.
The Force, however, shows Obi-Wan a detailed vision of the future to come. He eliminates the threats posed by the Sith, but feels he cannot return to the Order or to his men, and sets out alone, letting the Force direct him to the grimmest parts of the galaxy and the people who were always overlooked and underserved.
Marshal Commander Cody takes his general's warning and evacuates Kamino and all of the clones from Republic space. As the Jedi work to recover from the Sith plot and the Republic stalls out on how to move on, the clones settle a new world, try to heal, and look for their missing general. Along the way, apart and together, Cody and Obi-Wan make discoveries that will change their and the galaxy’s future, and learn how to move forward even when things are broken and like nothing they'd planned.
And I’ll Catch You When You Fall by Nation_Ustria
The Jedi were never meant to fight in war. They still aren’t meant to. But that’s what they’re doing, and that results in almost every single Jedi reaching for the Dark Side unintentionally at one point or another, results in every Jedi Falling, losing the parts of themselves that are kind and good.
Except for the vod’e noticed when they started to Fall, and decided that they weren’t going to let it happen—and it turns out, you can’t really Fall if you have people to Catch you. Force-null or not, the vod’e figure out how to pull their Jetiise back into the Light, and do so as many times as is needed.
General Kenobi is one of the last to start Falling for their first time.
Put Color in Your Cheeks by dharmaavocado
“Apologies for interrupting, sirs, but would this, ah, exchange have anything to do with that?” He gestured to their linked hands in a way that meant he’d rather not call attention either out of a sense of discretion or, more likely, because he was trying very hard not to laugh.
They’d stripped off their vambraces and gloves so they could be skin to skin, which had led to the most awkward walk through base camp that didn’t involve Wooley’s rotgut or Quinlan shirtless.
“Ah,” Kenobi said, the orange back in full force. “Yes. About that. Have you by chance had the—” the barest pause—“honor of meeting the headwoman?”
“Only briefly,” Rex said, and Cody couldn’t find a single fault in how professional he sounded. “She was very forthright in her observations of the men, particularly the officers.”
Cody couldn’t quite swallow an ugly laugh.
Kenobi closed his eyes. The garish orange was edging towards something a bit warmer. Humor, maybe? Trying to parse Kenobi’s emotional state was going to succeed where the war failed in scrambling his brains.
In which Cody must endure the mortifying ordeal of being known.
Battle of Wills by BigFatBumblebee
Mid-way through the Clone Wars their beloved General is a bit of a mess. But Cody, Kix and the rest of the 212th are going to look after him, even if it kills them. Can snarkiness actually kill? Cody hopes not or they don’t stand a chance.
