Scars from Nagini

In a Snape Lives AU, what do you think Snape’s scars from Nagini would look like?

I often see them represented as this series of uneven gashes but that seems kinda off to me... I mean Nagini is a snake. Even if she bit him several times, that would still result in a couple of sets of puncture wounds. Snakes don’t really have the anatomy to tear somebody up in a way that leaves gashes. We know Snape bled a lot, but that’s what happens when there are holes in important arteries.

The likelist outcome would be minimal scarring from maybe two or three sets of puncture wounds.

But that isn’t quite dramatic enough, is it?

I personally like the idea of intense scarring and I justify that as the result of the medical procedures that were used to save his life. It could happen because of the doctors cutting away necrotic tissue for example. I don’t know how feasible that is if someone got bitten in the neck and not a limb but that’s what I’m going with. Magic was involved, after all, and Nagini’s venom can explain all kinds of complications.

Still, I’m not quite satisfied with that answer. And I NEED an answer, because Snape lives and I want to draw him alive and well without this kind of thing happening:

I had NO IDEA what I was doing trying to draw his scars here. Like what even is this?? What would leave that kind of scarring? I still like the drawing but I cringe every time I look at the scars.

Please tell me what you guys think about this! Or else I might end up doing the same thing I did a few years ago when I NEEDED to know the realistic details of Zuko’s scar and spent two weeks researching eye burns (I will never unsee some things).

I know someone here mentioned that Doctor Nemesis should've replaced Sinister because he's at least a mutant but I wanna add that he's the likelist guy to reverse engineer his work on the whole "cloning but not really" tech. Like on Krakoa he was the one who made the panacea they offered world-wide that would be compatible for everyone that ever took it: Cloning shouldn't be as hard as that. While a gray character, he's still less of a creep to deal with than Sinister. All I see a perks really

It's just really bad writing to keep Sinister on, especially when it's so easy to prove they don't need Sinister there at all.

Even if they wanted to keep Sinister close in a keep your enemies close way, they didn't need to give him a voting voice on their secret council.

Things I Like #2: Inspired by Kittens (and it's delightfully quirky narrator)

My fiance showed this to me yesterday and told me that I'd love it and how he can see me being like that little girl in the video. Almost peed myself laughing. And honestly, yes the little girl holds a similar level of dark spastic humor that I have (and had as a kid). Either way it's just fucking funny.

I can't even choose a favorite part, hahhh.
