I am very normal please believe me anyways I'm thinking about the one scene where Time tells Twilight that both he and Malon are proud of him and how Twilight just existing has in a way changed things for him and his wife. Added in with Time's newest gig of keeping a close eye on Twilight and not liking the thought of splitting up plus outwardly admitting that he didn't like seeing such a determined look of courage on the younger man's face and it like really hit me that the relationship between these two has changed.

Ever since Twilight's life threatening injury and his feverish hallucinating ramblings that told Time that tidbit of information of his and the rancher's relation to one another. It's like Time's eyes were opened and now he's seeing Twilight in a whole new light and it's awakened in him an instinct that was always there deep down but now it's amplified due to this revelation. The instinct to protect because it's in his nature to do so and now it's much worse because Twilight is now officially his confirmed descendant. And Time wants to keep that information alive and breathing now at all costs because it's something that not only he's helped made but also was helped made by his beloved wife Malon.

Like this old man is now seeing Twilight in the light of "This is my descendant, just like Wind and that essentially makes him kinda my son" and the events must have really hit him during Twilight's recovery that he nearly lost him.

He nearly lost his descendant.

That's a terrifying realization.

Not only that but now he's probably seeing himself as well as Malon in Twilight. Every action, every detail it's now screaming in full view. Traits both good and bad. And that is also horrifying because that determination, that courage Time didn't like, it's the same kind he himself has. And he's experienced the cost of what that kind of determined courage can do if used recklessly and now he's watching Twilight do the exact same thing.

No wonder he's wanting to be close, to keep his eyes on the younger hero because if he doesn't Time could lose Twilight easily due to that courage that drives him.

It's unnerving and unsettling and it's probably making him go absolutely insane with wanting to protect him but also knowing that Twilight is a hero of courage he can take care of himself but he nearly died. It's changed their entire relationship, Time can't go back to the ignorance of not knowing about his and Twilight's connection anymore. Just like with Wind, nothing feels like it's changed but everything has.
