This tiny wizard’s name is Soup. He makes “soup” (potions of dubious efficacy) from junk he finds on the ground but his prices are honestly quite reasonable so nobody really minds much that his elixirs don’t work.

-🤯💣💥I know I've been super quiet for a few months, but all for good reason as I have...perhaps the most exciting project/commission I could ever announce working on. Anyone who knows me or follows me knows I've been a huge fan of 'Over the Garden Wall' for a long time- well many months ago I received the amazing opportunity to work with The Blasting Company, the band who did the music for this wonderful show, to create limited edition Lino Prints for their shop! All 200 PRINTS I HAND PRINTED ARE NOW available in their store!!! This collaboration is quite literally a dream come true for me (I own three different vinyls of just the OTGW Soundtrack alone! OMG!)🤯💣💥-

Decided to do another quick round of testing this morning. Did some reading last night, and today I played with damp vs. dry fabric; building up the ink; using various amounts of ink; and using a heavy rolling pin vs. my spoon.
Conclusions
1. Heavy is gives the deepest result, but some fine detail is sacrificed.
2. Rolling pin moved the block too much.
3. Damp fabric seems to be neither here nor there.
4. A padded surface underneath is so-so.

I got a couple of these pouches sewn up last week but I've only just got them up on Etsy. I did have a couple in this print in pink and green, but I sold the last one at a market before Christmas. This time I thought I'd go for pink and orange in slightly more subtle shades, to fit in with the colour scheme I tend to use.
I found it oddly difficult to get two zips in the same colour in the size I needed from the craft and sewing shops I usually go to, until I eventually found these brass ones. I also had to take a break in sewing and go back to them the next day as I couldn't get the pieces to line up properly when I pinned everything together. In the end the sewing was relatively painless and I'm happy with the results.
Now they're up on Etsy here along with the rest of my pieces.
Next I plan on making some pouches with my hydrangea print, possibly in the larger size for some variety. After that I might make a few more tea towels as it's been a while and work on another idea I've been thinking about.
