So today I had ma first proper fucked up thing happen with drugs that has actually scared me a wee bit but obviously no that much since I’ll be oot my wee banger again in 4 days time but aye, anywho, so we were all seshin over the weekend n it got tae Sunday everyone’s dying aff slowly but surely making their way hame so I thought to masel fuck it git yer arse in gear an git yersel in a 10 minute taxi up the road, after all I was the last man standing, as per usual. So books the taxi n goes about gettin ma shit together and ma nose starts to get itchy.. my eye catches the plate on the table with what can only be described as the mother fuckin daddy slugs of all slugs that I’d previously thought would make a good el night cap.

My phone buzzes - the taxis outside.

Everythings packed, only thing empty is my nose and my baggy and wallet if I had tae leave this phenomenal Special K on the plate to waste so like any other cunt, I hunkered doon, squared up the slug wae ma el school Reilly’s pool hall card, picked up the straw and after 6 full whack snorts it was finally all gone. Nae mare..all I had to do was get masel fae the front door tae the taxi and oot the other side. Oh I fuckin made it right into that taxi right but that’s where the story begings my friend. That’s where it all properly begins…

So it’s yer usual chat where ye goin? How ye dain? And so on right so a tell him where am goin and he’s still talkin away n I’m sat there thinking tae masel it’s takin me fuckin ages to answer masel in ma own heed tae the point a was near stoppin n start goin fuckin backwards let alone process anything this guy’s sayin to me. Aw a want is ma bed and ma burd fur a cuddle eae a big fat spliff y'know? So aye I’m no even in the car 2 minutes - like we are literally aboot 5 streets away from the hoose he picked me up at and still another 3.4 miles tae the destination tae go - and aw I can feel masel starting to phase right oot so a take oot ma phone n open up ma camera - fuck knows why.

Then the next thing I know I see the polis station tae ma left which is about 2 miles away fae ma hoose where he was supposed to drap me aff and the taxi drivers geein it he’s takin me to the polis station. Now bare in mind I’ve absolutely nae clue what’s happened and why or how long I’d been in his motor for so I start trying tae ask why he’s takin me tae the polis station when he knew the address I was going tae, I have more than enough cash on me tae cover the journey cause its never any mare than £7 for the 10/15 minute journey so wit the fuck happened in the last roughly 30 minutes to make him take me tae the polis rather than ma ain hoose. So trying to figure it oot whilst tryin tae find words fae somewhere tae ask wit was goin oan and fuck knows where fae a tell ye, but I managed tae find and get oot 3 words tae him “why the polis?” while waving two tenner notes tae him like hulloo av goat yer money wits the issue? It’s only 7 quid av goat 20 here? Taxi driver pulls up ootside the station, turns the engine aff takes aff his seatbelt n turns n looks at me n goes

“Hi hen welcome back don’t worry yer no in any harm or anythin you just got in the motor n ye completely spaced oot. Ye couldny string a sentence the gither n couldny even tell me yer name. Ye awrite? Wit did ye take? A took ye tae the drap aff address but when I asked ye for the cash ye just sat startin at yer hons like ye had nothin so ye couldny pay the fair n ye wur in absolutely nae fit state to be papped oot at a door step that I didny even know if ye had keys intae or that so I thought I would drive slowly round the long way fae the drap aff address tae the polis station tae gee ye time tae come round before we made any decisions and thankfully ye have y'know hen. Ye had me a bit worried so ye did.”

Noo am literally still phasing in n oot tryin tae take in everythin this blokes sayin and in ma ain heed tryin tae figure oot wit the fucks went oan but slowly but surely I pull words fae ma arse n still speaking slower than Steven Hawkins did, I start tae proper apologise tae the guy lit mate am so so fuckin sorry man I thought I woulda made it back tae the flat in time. Obviously that wisny the case here but i dae have yer money I have mare than enough look…See?? Can ye please just take me hame am aw good like I just need ma scratcher y'know? Thats if ye’ll still have me of course?“

Taxi driver gees it the whack a questions one by one like he’s been here done it aw before

Him: "Right so ye know yer no in any harm or that aye? ” Me: “aye”

Him: “And ye have came back too a wee bit noo aye?” Me: “Aye”

Him: “ And ye just wanty go hame n ye’ve definitely goat keys tae get intae the hoose aye?” Me: “Aye, that’s right aye please if ye could buddy.”

Him “Right hen just you take yer time n comin back round I’ll get ye up the road the noo. So what did ye take if ye dont mind me askin?”

Me: “awh driver am so sorry bud I really am. I eh took some gold ol Special K before I go in the motor”

Him: “Awh fur fuck sake hen. Ye need to watch yersel with these things noo a days. Ye dunno what yer gettin”

Me: “awk it was definitely ket got a good guy fur it y'know? Was just really fuckin bangin and was a big daddy slugger line I took”

Him: “aye hen I’ve had a few ae them masel yer that used tae such good shit that yer surprised it could be even better than usual y'know?”

Me: “Exactly mate. Exactly. Here mate thank you so much for being so reasonable n puttin up wae ma shit I hope I wisny a cunt or anythin tae you I’m so fuckin sorry if I was”

Him: “ naw hen ye were awrite honestly was just worried aboot ye. I seen yer wee eyebaws flicker when I first mentioned the polis I could see that wis the thing that if anything it would be the thing that would get ye back tae normality so I just kept sayin it to ye on the way to the polis station so ye knew wit was happenin and where ye were goin but yer aw good noo yer almost hame ye can get in tae yer pit n right intae la la Land.”

After aboot 10 minutes of back and forth chat and what felt like the fuckin worlds most longest taxi journey I was finally back at the original drap aff address. My ain hoose. Driver then stated the damage £14.50 for the near 9 mile trip round a part of Glesga - that's a 12 minute journey turned into a 40 minute journey so obviously I handed him the £20 n telt him tae keep the change for being such a fuckin true decent human being n a proper gentleman towards a young lassie alone in a vulnerable, albeit self inflicted state.

Might no be a lot of cash I gave him extra but am no minted n it wis aw I had oan me cause well let’s face it this stories aboot basically traveling another completely fantasy world/planet in the comfort of a Glesga Hampden taxi on St Paddy’s weekend.

Before I get oot the motor he makes me look out my keys so I know where they are. Make sure I have ma phone and any wallets or money too and lastly but no least tae look after masel and please don’t ever take ket before gettin in a taxi again cause that was fuckin scary hen. Everywan needs their blow oots but just be careful awrite? I’m glad yer awrite noo so goan get intae yer hoose feed yer animals and git tae yer bed and have a big spliff"

Me: “I canny thank ye enough driver yer a life saver and that is literally the case the day. You saved my life. I could have got intae any motor. It could have been any cunt driving the motor and bmmpphh before ye know it people are looking back to where I was last seen rather than lookin forward to where I should be goin yknow? Anyway thank you again man you truly are a legend n shook his hon for like the 50th time and wished him a happy days work an all the best in his future life n that I’ll definitely take this wae me.”

Oot the motor I go and stagger and fumble my way against the wind intae the building, up in the lift n spend a further 20 minutes trying tae get intae ma own hoose cause none ae the keys would fuckin work cause they were aw like marshmallow flumps and just wouldny go intsa the lock to the point I threw a pathetic tantrum and until a recent moment of clarification (I’m still hazy as fuck it’s only been like 7 hours since this happened) I have come to the realization I actually just sobered up enough for the keys to look like keys and tae pick the right key and get the door open before swiftly falling back in tae an unnatural coma state instead of actually “sweet talking” ma keys into one of them to miraculously stop being flumps and in fact be keys and open the door like I thought I had…

Noo am lying in ma bed still hazy as fuck writing aw this oot for absolutely nae reason but tae remind masel an important lesson…

Don’t leave the hoose on ket until yer a bit mare wae it and definitely no after a mother fuckin daddy slug..

hi i want to talk abt foi bc its legit among the coolest things ive done; this is long as Fuck but the book is longer i just really wanna talk,, abt this,,

it’s a high fantasy set on the northernmost side of a huge desert (a sea borders its northern side; beyond the sea is a country filled with plains and forests)

there were seven tribes (i still need to look up definitions and see if thats the most accurate term for what im goin for; im thinking abt just using ‘city’ tbh but yknow) in the desert:

-the riches tribe, whose people could shape gemstones and metals (think metalbending but add precious stones in the mix; each person can only control one thing and ur power is usually decided by the stars or some shit)

-the elements tribe, who could control the forces of wind, fire, water, or stone (now LITERALLY think atla; powers are passed down genetically and a few people can control two elements if their parents controlled different ones)

-the land, sky, and sea tribes, who could control animals related to their tribe (land tribe ppl can also learn to turn into their favored animal, sky tribe ppl grow wings as toddlers, sea tribe ppl can breathe underwater & usually live in the sea on the northern border of the desert bc they dont do well on land; powers are decided based on the animals’ preferences – e.g. if ravens had a specific affinity for a kid in the sky tribe the kid would grow raven wings and be able to communicate with and eventually control ravens)

-the time and space tribes, who destroyed each other 60 years ago, and have the power to speed, slow, or even stop time during the hour of their birth, or manifest physical objects from glowing blue energy that makes up everything in the world (also can see in the dark, i guess?)

60 years ago, a huge war happened between the seven tribes, wiping out the space tribe completely (except for one person; more on that later) and destroying all but 200 of the time tribe, who repopulated to about 1,000, and ruining a Lot of stuff in the other five tribes. for the most part the remaining 5 tribes (minus the time tribe for Reasons) have rebuilt themselves but hints of the past war linger. no one is aware that the time tribe survived (they rebuilt their city FAR from the original location). the time and space tribes faded from public consciousness pretty quickly since all their historical records were destroyed; most of the knowledge about them now is legends and myths

in the present day, 5 children (one from each of the remaining tribes) who lost various loved ones to the same glowing blue knives (created, ofc, by the surviving member of the space tribe, ebon (…courtesy of 2012 me’s genius naming skills, they’re all gonna be like this it’s part of the aesthetic), though the kids dont know that or even recognize it as a space tribe power) are approached by an old man (guess who! its ebon) who claims to be the last surviving member of the space tribe and apparently has evidence that the time tribe is plotting revenge and theyre the ones that killed the kids’ families and he speaks of a supposed prophecy that 5 kids who the time tribe had stolen from are gonna defeat the time tribe once and for all

the kids (and at this point, hopefully the reader too) are the wrong kind of genre savvy, and believe they’ve been approached by gandalf or some shit, and each end up Accepting The Call

(meanwhile back at the time tribe, the king and his rebellious teenage son talk about the future of the time tribe. teenage son, midnight (heyy GUESS what hour hes able to use his powers) learns to use Time Powers that are suspiciously dissimilar to the ones ebon was talking abt the ppl from the time tribe being able to use. midnight uses his powers to get more sleep bc his dad kinda overworks the shit out of him bc like the future of this horrifically unstable and tiny city is in midnight’s hands, basically, and we learn that Its Dangerous bc if u get stuck slowing down/speeding up time after ur 1 hour is up u basically become Time Tobias and ur trapped like that Until You Die)

if uve made it this far i think its time for a proper introduction to the 6 protags of part 1 (another is added in part 2 but we’re not there yet)

-eagle, from the sky tribe, a Massive Fuckin Jock Who Loves To Sport. shes 14 and pretty athletic but tends to chicken out when shit gets tough and so never makes it to the Fly Sport Playoffs. shes a Massive Optimist at first but then she finds her parents dead (hint: it was ebon). she deals with this throughout the novel i hope im writing her well lmao because i wanted it to have a Legit Impact on her character and not just be angst. A N Y W A Y she instantly pegs ash and emerald as The Rich Kids (ash is legit a rich kid, emerald is just from the riches tribe where they traditionally sew gems and shit into their clothes) and judges em for it

-snake, from the land tribe, a 13yo, Lonely Autistic who loves reptiles. (ok i mean. this is high fantasy and im really not sure if autism is a diagnosis in high fantasy. ive done my absolute best to code her as autistic and she is in fact autistic i just dont say it in canon bc idk how to bring it up) ppl dont like her at first because she comes across as cold but actually shes like the most adorable fuckin dork youve ever seen shes great. she doesnt talk hardly at all unless shes Super Comfortable around the people shes with, which is a challenge for me to write but tbqh shes my absolute favorite of the bunch,, also her only friend ever was a thief named lore who was (supposedly) killed by GUESS FUCKEN WHO

-ash, the 14yo daughter of one of the 4 ruling families of the elements tribe. her family’s genetic power is fire but she could never figure it out (later she discovers her power is actually water; im…..still figuring out how that works genetically she might just be adopted lmao) ebon brought her the news of her parents’ deaths and managed to kill her little sister while her back was turned; somehow she does not suspect him. shes kind of a snob and doesnt really /get/ the rest of the group and comes across pretty rude at first. (also, she and eagle deal w their very recent grief very differently but idk her exact Grief Arc yet)

-emerald, who i think is? 12? 13? i cant remember but somewhere around there; shes from the riches tribe, was orphaned as a toddler and raised by supposedly extinct desert dragons (which are basically 12-20ft desert iguanas), which were all wiped out horribly by more of ebon’s shit space weapons. she lived with ash’s family for a while when they were years younger but eventually emerald got blamed for ash’s lack of control over fire and was forced to leave, she found the riches tribe and discovered that she could metalbend emeralds lmao. shes a storyteller and raises money for orphans now i guess

-shark, a scrappy homeless 10yo from the sea tribe who will steal anything shiny enough. he has pointy teeth and an eyepatch (which covers a golden sphere in place of his eye) and hes reckless as fuKC. he was too young to remember his parents but when questioned about it he remembers blue knives (GUESS WHO). hes pretty unaware that sharks are infact chaotic neutral sea predators who do not give a shit about him even if he can communicate with them and he starts the novel with a Pretty Serious Bite Injury™. he takes a lot of shit apart and puts it back together in horrifying ways. yknow sid from toy story? basically thats shark if sid lived underwater and was portrayed as a fundamentally good person

-midnight, the 16yo prince of the time tribe, a Rebellious Teen™ who doesnt want responsibility and has Horrible Insomnia. he thinks his dad is Evil And Controlling and probably listens to heavy metal behind his back (meanwhile his dad is actually pretty decent just busy as Fuck trying to keep the time tribe from accidentally inbreeding collapsing and trying to show midnight how to lead; hes overprotective but not evil). he broke a pattern of various people born at midnight/noon alternating every century and people think hes Destined For Greatness™ or some shit; he is having absolutely none of that will someone let this child sleep instead of waking him up in the middle of the night to practice magic

anyway yea thats p much all ive edited so far and tbqh i dont remember a whole lot of details but That Is My Book!

Part one:

You are sitting in your bed that is set up in the space of Feferi’s bedroom. You find that the two of you exist rather harmoniously in the room together. You do not spend every waking moment existing in her bedroom; you let yourself roam about in the hive, usually lounging around in the living room.

This was not about your existence within this hive.

No, no, it was not.

You are sitting in this bed heavily mulling over some plans for this visit to the council. You are doing your damn fucking best not to have your emotions cloud any rational Thing to do here, but so far it is not working. Lace’s remark from that day is stuck in your head, repeating over and over, even if she did not mean for it to be taken that way. You do not want to be undesirable; an instant throw away to anything but a basic friendship. You want relationships to develop and grow; you are not a static character. You have a personality and you should have people to share that with.

Right? That is not a selfish want, right?

You grind your teeth, furrowed brows etching your face into disapproval and anger. This stupid RULE. You are being punished for a basic fucking need and it is not jiving with you, bro-kos. You are not happy, and neither is anyone else who is forced to comply with this rule. The secrets; the hiding, none of this is great! It is sure doing a number on your mental stability too. Allegedly, this rule is supposed to keep you sane. Sane how? You are not sane! You are extremely compromised! Not very helpful for this job! Trying to reason with these assholes has not worked. Your efforts are brushed to the side, and you have let it.

Not anymore. You will not be swept to the side. You are the goddamn head of the military. You have power, and you are going to fucking use it.

You search through your ‘dex, bringing out a ring containing your transformations from anons you have gathered. You slip it on and crack the ring to your incubus charm. This form lets you walk. Your tail whips against the metal, you move the blanket off your legs, and let your feet brush against the cold floor. You inhale roughly, filling like fog in your lungs. Your tail continues to lash as you stand, ripples of violet flush through your body in fury, and a bit of hunger. You need a change of clothes and you are good to go as far as going fucking feral is concerned.

There is the doubt if what you are doing is rational as you surf through your closet. Would this prove to them that the rule is just? The lack of legitimate relationships and all the secrecy, it is driving you mad. The loneliness from the isolation is literal pain. Perhaps the anger you are planning to unleash is irrational, and there is a better way to go about it. Although, you have done every other rational action to do with no avail. It is time to be irrational, you guess. It is the only way things get done in this fucking system; the only thing people listen to. Nice is overlooked, rational and calm are taken advantage of, and your patience is wearing thin.

You are fastening your boots before you rest your elbows on your knees. You find yourself back at the question. Is this rational? Is your frustration just? Is this a good idea? You sit up with a hollow breath, laying back against the bed. You stare up at the ceiling. If this falls through, what will happen to you? You cannot leave the library. Maybe you are thinking too much right now. Less thinking and more doing, right? You remain unsure.

this is kinda going to be long.

my dad gets so fucking worked up about things and it fucking drives me bonkers because hes just being an ass about it. like we were watching transformers on tv and it had some extra interviews and it talked about the differences of opinion between shia and michael bay on how to do a scene. so my dad is spouting off about how ‘directors are lazy and complacent and they need to learn from others successes’ and on and on and on. and im like ???? there are like only a handful of series that go from one movie to the next??? and so we got into it. like i explained to him that this is a recent thing in the past ten years to have movies that all link up to one another that tell a whole story, rather than having a story that has a beginning middle and end and then adding on a sequel. cause lets be real most sequels suck cause theyre trying to recaputre the glory of the first movie and they dont live up to it.

so hes just fuckin goin off about how this that and the other. and i point out to him that the marvels movies started out as flops. like iron man was pretty good, then two just was in the toilet. well it was the first of its kind. they closed the doors on the first movie. it was a little hard to try to reopen things they had already closed. so they learned and the third movie was pretty good. then we have all the other movies in the franchise that build off each other. yeah they make mistakes, but these guys have all learned and built off each other. 

NOPE. hes like hauling off about laziness and they need to look at other peoples successes and failures on working in series. and im like ?????? asshole, do you not realize there are not that many series out there???? and so we just keep fighting over it and it gets to the point where im like ‘dude, its a fucking novel that theyre taking from a script and turning it into a visualization. you have a problem with their lack of continuity or their characterization, thats where your problems lie, not with the producer’

so then hes just like freaking out hardcore and hes like ‘movies and books are different’ and im like how? how could they possibly be different? world building, characters, a plot, a beginning middle and end. like how are they different aside from the fact one is visual and one is text based? and he just cant see that theyre literally the same thing. and so he keeps freaking out.

and im like ‘if i were to write a book on xyz, i wouldnt go look at the other successful authors that wrote something similar. thats fucking stupid.’ and hes like ‘thats not what i was saying’. um yes it is. if youre talking about looking at something and trying to base it off its predecessors successes and failures, then...wouldnt you have to...idk find something that was actually similar before you can make comparisons???

idfk. he had an issue with the fact that michael bay is a jackass and wanted ‘to do things his way’ and wasnt going to let shia do something he wanted to do. yeah okay creative differences, still made a fairly okay movie. not the actors fault that theres four of these stupid movies. but he was raging hardcore over the fact that the director was ‘lazy and complacent’. so what is his laziness? is there some sort of standard hes following? what is his complacency? like i? dont? understand???

the complacency youre talking about is he wanted a fucking paycheck. the first one was successful and he probably won awards and there was acclaim. so whats stopping him from trying to make a second? a third? he has the characters. he somewhat has the world. its not his own idea, no, because hes taking from an already fairly successful source. but hes moulding the characters to his needs and purposes. same thing with his screenwriter.

i have more anger directed towards the screenwriter than the producer because if the script/characters suck, its on them. they wrote the fuckin thing. if you dont know how to worldbuild or write a cohesive character outside of a single individual film, thats on you and your creativity, not the producer. but nope, he couldnt see it that way. and he kept yelling about how i was putting words in his mouth and this that or the other. like jesus fucking christ man.

im so fucking over how he cant see another point of view. he does this shit with everything. like i need to move fucking far away again. i cannot do this shit. it drives me near up the wall.

he gets so mad that im ‘so literal’ ‘all the goddamned time’. okay well...im not yelling every five seconds that the english language is being destroyed and cant accept change. ‘i was taught all the rules and exceptions’. bullshit. if you were, youd speak worse than a goddamned textbook. you wouldnt sound human. you wouldnt fit in to your social environment. you would be stiff. yet whenever you hear a new word, jesus lord almighty the world is coming down around your ears. its bad when others say it, but you dont mind when we do it. righto.

he makes me so mad. he just doesnt want to look outside his viewpoint. as understanding as he is, he doesnt want to learn. he says he likes learning, but he doesnt actually. if it goes away from what he was taught or something hes stood by for forever and a half, he doesnt want it to change. its like tough luck asshole, thats how things happen. if you dont want change, move to a cave. i dont like change either, but im not yelling from the rooftops about it. nor am i blinded by my viewpoints.

the dumb thing about all this is, is that i dont have anyone i can talk to this about. none of my friends really wanted to stay in contact after we grew up. i havent made too many strong relationships after childhood. the ones i have made, i dont want to feel like im bothering them. i dont want to feel like im incessantly talking nonstop and only about myself and my problems. so i bottle it and then it explodes and then after im done writing it out or talking it out, im still angry. my anxiety is still high. but im over it. im done talking about it. i could get riled up again, but it just tires me out.

like i feel like i used to have a good relationship with my dad, but then i moved away. i learned some new things. i saw some different view points. i aligned myself with others that were abroad. i try to look at things differently. and now that ive come back, its like hes exactly where i left him. he didnt change, but i did. he doesnt want to learn or grow. he thinks hes done, that this is the most him he can be.

it makes me really angry because i want to share things with him. i want to talk to him about the things that excite me, that i think might excite him cause we share a lot of common interests. but then all i get is push back and anger and confrontation and it just makes me tired. it makes me angry too, but i just want to be done and over with it. i want to be away from it. from him.

when i left, i didnt know mothers werent supposed to be that way. now that ive learned thats not how any individual should be, i can see how dads shouldnt be that way either. im not saying hes abusive like my mother, but hes nearly there. belittling and jeering and outright testosterone fueled meanness when things dont go his way or i dont perform to his standards. theres even a disparity between how understanding he used to be and how understanding he is now. the older i get and the further i get away from who i used to be, the less understanding he seems to be. it makes me sad. it makes me angry. it makes me want to leave and not come back. it makes me want to go and to go and to go. at the same time, i live in a constant state of existential crisis. life is short and nothing has meaning. all that stuff. so theres fear, true panic inducing fear that dominates my line of thinking for a few days before i get it under control and so i dont want to lose my relationship with my dad. he is probably one of the closest people in my life. but he also keeps getting more distant as time progresses.

nights like tonight just make me want to cry. i go from anger to sadness/panic to exhaustion. like ive ranted, ive changed the subject a couple times now, but i dont feel better. theres still a low simmer of anger in my chest thats constricting in the way anxiety is constricting.

i dont want many more of these situations. i guess its time to move. i dont want to do it permanently, but it looks kinda like it might have to be. and if it is permanent, that means i leave behind my grandmother who means the world to me. it means i leave behind one of my best friends, a friend i believed would die and i wouldnt be informed of his passing a few years ago. i already left some close friends behind in my last state of residency. i read a lot because i choose to escape from things. i have a hard time facing things. like facing the fact that my dad is probably not going to change as a individual and will continue to be confrontational and a hypocrite. i really wanna cry but my depression doesnt allow it.
