But since neither Jiang Cheng or Lan Wangji can acknowledge that Sizuhi has any connection to Wei Wuxian, both begin steadfastly and stubbornly insisting that he is a Cultivator of peerless potential and skill and he belongs in their sect thank you very much, and would clearly be very unhappy in the other's. This confuses the hell out of the already mystified Cultivation world, who had barely adjusted yet to gossiping about Sizhui being Wangji's illegitimate child by mysterious love affair.

(Eventually the common consensus in the rumor mills is that both JC and LW where in love with Sizhui's mother and both believe themselves to be Sizhui's real father.)

(LW couldn't care less what gossips say, but JC has to bite his tongue till it bleeds to avoid telling anyone the truth in a fit of anger.)

(It was Nie Huaisang who put that rumor out in the first place, partly to troll JC, partly because, in a way, it's a little true.)

Hello everyone- the following is a link to a Google doc containing hundreds of doctors in the US, Canada and Europe who are willing to perform sterilization on individuals who are 21+ regardless of marriage or parental status.

This list has existed for years and is a collaborative effort from patients all over the world to assist people in controlling their own fertility.

The document refers to tubal ligation, however they may offer other methods- for example, bilateral salpingectomy (aka “bisalp”) which is more effective and is becoming more popular with doctors than ligation.

If you know a doctor who performs this type of sterilization, and they are not on this list, please submit their name and location to the email provided at the top of the document.

I keep tapping my finger on this idea even if I can't quite articulate it out into the full thought it probably should be, but there's something really interesting about how the primary difference between a game that generates stories and a game that does not is whether it's trying to emulate the presence of a gm

a lot of games very straightforwardly simulate "doing the cool thing" in a way that appeals to every sense they can reach, making a very in-the-moment authentic experience, but in retelling, because there isn't some sort of storyteller agent built into things, it feels exactly like trying to describe a dream, and unless you insert yourself into the role of someone who's curating that story very heavily, even the curious parts of it end up feeling very dry

describing something weird that happened in (for example) dwarf fortress comes with a much higher base level of intrigue just because there's a structure at work to force one of the most interesting aspects of the game, the procedural storytelling that provides a decent chunk of the appeal in the first place, to also be the one that's carried over when it's retold

which sort of brushes up against that now-long-proliferated bandwagon of making deeply sentimental and personal retrospectives and reviews of games, because what's being talked about in those, the personal experience of interaction with the game, is more broadly interesting than the secondhand ephemera of the game that trusses the narrative up

Twenty-two young Americans have filed a new lawsuit against the Trump administration over its anti-environment executive orders. By intentionally boosting oil and gas production and stymying carbon-free energy, federal officials are violating their constitutional rights to life and liberty, alleges the lawsuit, filed on Thursday. The federal government is engaging in unlawful executive overreach by breaching congressional mandates to protect ecosystems and public health, argue the plaintiffs, who are between the ages of seven and 25 and hail from the heavily climate-impacted states of Montana, Hawaii, Oregon, California and Florida. They also say officials’ emissions-increasing and science-suppressing orders have violated the state-created danger doctrine, a legal principle meant to prevent government actors from inflicting injury upon their citizens.
