This fookin stung!!! £170 and most items marked down, reduced or basics range stuff!!! . . Ok so there are some things in there we don’t normally get like I had to replace all the different kitchen foils etc a once a year job. A few pantry staples to replace things used. 2 very small pieces of meat for specific dishes. . . Honestly I bought myself a couple of juices and since Tanny has started wanting OJ in the morning I’m happy to get it as it’s still cheaper than the oranges to make it!!! . . I wasn’t able to grab everything so having breakfast to chill out and wait for the butchery to open at 9. . . For the record our grocery budget for the month is £100 this shop has severely cut into my disability money which means waiting another month or two for a couple of pieces of equipment I need to replace because they were lost in the move. . . All I can say is that Spring can’t come fast enough!!! The more I can get this year in the ground the less this trolley is going to hurt so much!!! . . Today's food heaven pics and video 📸

Eating on a tight budget, this day I used a well know supermarket chain, the reason for this I was watching a news report, there was a large woman saying she could not afford to feed herself and her children, this can't be tru right not here in Britain.

Now first impressions of this woman who says that the few hundred pounds a week benefits she gets is not enough, all the kids had the latest branded cloths, mobile phones, Xboxes new games etc, this lady was covered in tattoos, a mobile phone lots of makeup and jewellery and smoked and drank alcohol 🤔

So I thought all that aside let's see what I could do to feed my opo and myself when I get home from WORK on a bank holiday Monday night.

I gave myself a budget of £5 to feed us both, for less than £4 I not only fed both of us but there was actually enough food to feed a family of 4, I have ran a house with a young family for over 30 years, many hard times where I did not know where the next meal was coming from, but I always paid my bills and put food on the table.

So I am still baffled how this lady can't feed her family, I actually really enjoyed my meal last night, but I won't be visiting a super market again too fast as I prefer quality local produce from my butchers, bakers, green grocers etc, but my conclusion is you can live very well on very little if you get off your backside and put your mind to it.

As my Pappy always taught me, it's harder where there is none boy, that man knew real hunger and poverty 💪🙏🧔 God Save The King ⚔️🛡️🧔🙏

It’s been a steamy day quite honestly. Either from the slow cooker or the freezer. Been rather busy the last few days making meals from the Christmas dinner leftovers. Guess what… still not finished lol. . . So far there are 2 Christmas Dinner Pies 1 x shortcrust and 1 x Puff Pastry, 4 x Turkey Curry and 6 litres of Turkey and Vegetable Soup also for the freezer. . . Still more to go and Tanny and I will be sorted for meals for a good couple of months. . .
