Have any theories for SM3?

All of these are practically the same, I’ll answer them all in this one.

Peter: This could go two ways, and remember this is just me guessing lmao. I kinda have the feeling that Peter will isolate himself from his family and friends? Because he’ll feel like he’s going to put them in danger. So I’m thinking he’s on the run refusing the accept help and doing it all on his own. 

This is where I expect the directors to take advantage of Tom Holland’s acting range. This is the perfect time for Peter to start getting some flashbacks (irondad :D), hallucinations, and finally dealing with certain traumas (Ben, Vulture, Titan, Thanos, Death, Tony’s death, his identity, Mysterio, etc). And also, IF Homesick is the real title of the movie, then it’s self-explanatory.

Or. Knowing how goofy this Spider-Man is, Peter might go to Fury, Strange, or Happy panicking (similar to how he did when he came back to life in Endgame or when Ned found out he was Spider-Man) about what happened and asking for help. 

Relationships: Given Tom’s comment and how there’s so much going on (new villains, new storylines, new characters, Peter’s identity, etc) I kinda have the feeling this could also go both ways. One, Peter might cut communication with Michelle (and the rest of his friends and family) to protect them. So, Michelle might try to contact him and he’s going to maybe break-up with her for the same reason. Same with Ned, since he’s his guy in the chair and best friend, he’s going to try and help him and Peter won’t let him. Kinda have the feeling he’s going to tell Happy to take care of May (I really hope they let Marisa Tomei have more creative liberty with her character on this one).

Also, I think how this goes depends on where they’re taking Spider-Man in the MCU. If this is the last spider-man movie in the franchise, we might say good-bye to some characters and expect others to do cameos along with Tom for future movies. I think Ned is going to be the one they’re going to choose to do cameos with Tom given that he’s the one they chose for IW and Endgame:

Or. I didn’t want to make this parallel because it involves a dead actor but, with all of my respect, I feel like Marvel might pull a sentimental phone conversation like the one Mia and Brian from Fast & Furious had in F&F:7. I think Marvel might go this way with Michelle and Peter but I’m not sure. Also, Jon Watts loves to give spideychelle stans fanservice, so you might expect the popular spider-man kiss to happen.

Family: It would be great to see flashbacks of uncle Ben. Like, Peter remembering stuff about him and more. Also, irondad flashbacks. I think they might add something about this, maybe not a flashback but Peter talking about Tony. Marisa said May might be a community organizer in sm3 so that means we might see May finally getting more screen-time. 

Bringing back Homecoming actors: THEY NEED TO BRING BACK MY GIRL

I know some of you want her to become a villain but I highly doubt this is going to happen because it’s a little out of character for Liz. Laura has insisted multiple times that Liz is a kind-hearted down to earth girl. She has a good heart and might be able to understand Peter’s actions. Give her more credit, she’s not some dumb cheerleader just like many of you think. You also need to think about the fact that this is not Liz’s movie lmao and a revenge arc might be a big role (and I highly doubt Marvel will respect her and give her the credit/screen-time she deserves) that can take a lot of the movie. Also, some of you are plain disrespectful with Laura’s age, she doesn’t look 30 at all (and I know you all know this) and you want her to be an adult (and I know some of you do it because you don’t want anyone in between spideychelle but mocking her age and calling her old is not ok). If she’s in the movie, let’s respect Laura, please.

I think Liz might be a key role in Peter’s journey in this movie. I think she’s going to help him somehow. By either doing the right thing and going behind her dad’s back to help Spider-Man (yassss, my girl might get some action) or giving him an important piece of information. Or she might give Peter advice or a heartfelt speech.

Villains: Am I being too kind to Marvel if I say something like this might happen?

Not the same villains but you get the point. But I do think they might have a grand scene like this one for the movie. After all, a lot of people are going after Spider-Man. Mysterio might be alive. 

Post-credits scene: If they give Holland a fourth spider-man movie just like with Thor, I think they might do the Norman & Harry Osborn reveal.

I kinda have the feeling Tom will get Harrison the role of Harry. I don’t know why, I just have the feeling lmao. Imagine being Matthew’s son in a movie, I can’t relate lmaooo. The second post-credits could be some spider-verse introduction scene. This girl was in HOCO and IW:

She’s supposed to be Cindy Moon. Let’s see what happens with her.

Scenes: Remember the plane scene in FFH with Happy? I think we might get a similar scene in sm3 but with Strange. Maybe Strange telling Peter that Tony would be proud of him (Am I giving Marvel too much credit? lmao). But I have the feeling that he’s going to be the one to deliver the sentimental speech to Peter. You know, the one he gets in every movie. 

Not probable but might happen (none of these are facts, calm down): 

1. AI Tony: Downey said he’s done with Marvel but who knows, anything can happen. Maybe Tom can convince him. I’m just putting this out there just in case. 

2. Multiverse with Tobey and Andrew: I don’t know if this is confirmed yet but knowing how the MCU loves pleasing the dudebros, I’m guessing it’s a big possibility. 

3. Major character dying: I don’t know if the poor kid can take more pain but since they’re doing Peter the same way they did to Tony, I’m saying it’s possible. Might be Michelle, Ned, or who knows, maybe Flash.

4. Avenger: They might make Peter a full permanent member of the Avengers team or might even be the new leader. Or we might see a new Avengers facility.

Anime Characters that are SLEPT ON Pt.2 ( Female edition)

Part two of a previous post, not in any particular order

1. Tsubaki from Soul Eater- I feel like she gets written off a lot but honestly I like her better than any other of the females in the group. Not only is she a powerful badass that had a deep backstory but she is also sweet and caring. Would be a great mom because of how patient she is. Can not stress enough how cool Tsubaki is. (Liz and Patti would also be on this list if more of their story was represented in the anime. All we’ve seen are short bits from SE and SEN). Tsubaki would be the most supportive girlfriend PERIOD. The type to take care of you when you sick but also tells it to you straight when you really need it. 

2. Benibara from OHSHC- She is forgotten a lot but honestly I like her a lot. Not only is she romantic but also respectful. Supports all women. Kill all men. I would risk it for her. Lets not forget she punched Tamaki. Can also sing, dance AND act. Would be such a respectful and passionate lover. Would tease you a lot but not in a crude way. Same things goes for PDA. 

3. Lizzie from Black Butler- Although I didn’t really like her at first I respected and understood her desire to just make other people happy. She’s very selfless and cheery. I like her even more since the character development in Book of Atlantic ( trying not to spoil but if you know you know). Would totally be friends with her. 

4. Ran Mao from Black Butler- Not only is she beautiful but this chick has some serious power behind her. Could beat many of the other characters in the series and has been shown to hold her own against grim reapers and demons. 110% could beat Lau if she wanted to. Mey Rin is also really powerful and cool but still gets more attention than Ran Mao. Is a ICON for fashion and is going to wear what makes her happy no matter how much skin she shows. Better not disrespect her or she’ll cut you. Would promote body positivity, especially if her someone was a heavier person. I can’t see her caring about appearances, though I think should would be with someone she finds cute. Would destroy anyone who disrespects their s/o. Would like to a makeover. Would partake in PDA because she wants to show everyone that your an item. Gets silently jealous.

5. Hange from Attack on Titan- ( Yes I know that they don’t really have a gender but I’m counting the on this list because they are most often thought to be female) Not only is Hange just an awesome and fun character but she is dangerous and strong. She is by far one of the most intelligent people in the series if not the most. She really said WOMEN IN STEM. Not only that but she is also really skilled and determined. She is next in line for commander and we all see why. I would be best friends with Hange if not in a relationship. There would never be a dull day with Hange. Definitely a quirky cat mom tho.

6. Nana Shimura from My Hero Academia- Although we don’t know much about this character yet, we do know some pretty cool things already. First off, this woman was the seventh user of One For All, which means that she packs a PUNCH. Nana was one of the most powerful heroes of her time, if not THE most powerful. Secondly, we know that she was a great hero and mentor. She mentored the young All Might and look how great he is. She was also know for being kind, beautiful and passionate about justice. We stan a strong independent woman. 

7. Ryukyu from MHA- Not only does she have a powerful and impressive quirk but she also in the No.9 hero. On top of that she mentors Uraraka, Tsu and Nejire who are all powerful themselves. Finally, she was a big player during the battle with Overhall and the Yakuza. Ryukya is not only kind and hardworking, but responsible as well.

8.Honestly I love all the characters in My Hero Acadamia

9. Literally every female in Hetalia. Literally has to put of with the rest of the worlds shit. 

10. Every female from Blue Exorcist but especially Shura. This anime doesn’t have a lot of female characters but all of them hold their own in the face of demons with their male counterparts. Shura is literally one of the strongest exorcists, so much so that she is tasked with mentoring the literal son of Satan and has been shown to be victorious in many battles against powerful demons. Not to mention that she can pull a literal sword out of her body. She would be a really good friend and a fun drinking buddy. She would 100% be protective of her partner though.

18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.

skam brighton has. so many aus. because it itself is an au of an original work. me and two of my great writing friends have written a great numbers of aus including but not limited to riordian-verse, glee, doctor who, rwrb, trc, a murder mystery au, and many aus based on comfort media of mine that i started on never finished (house of anubis, barbie movies, etc.). and many of them are unironically so good???? @fingersmithbysarahwaters and @nightwing642 are incredibly talented screenwriters. but also i did write a screenplay adaptations of the first two books in the raven cycle series and 2/3s of rwrb for no reason other than fun and autism.

as for skam brighton. oh boy. not many plot points have been changed, but some certain scenes/character moments were changed. for example, the scene in season 2 episode 8 where liz has a meltdown at the shopping centre and she has a heart to heart with mary was originally liz having a meltdown and running into al in the sensory room. but i wanted to hold back on revealing al as a main character until season 3. 

also in the og season 3, jake and al didn’t break up. as i was finishing the season, i was getting ideas for how i wanted the series to develop (james’s crush on al namely) so i thought it would be good for both of their developments for them not to end up together. also in season 3 i hadn’t planned for jake to move house originally, so there was a scene in the finale episode of the lad squad hanging out, but it got cut because it just didn’t make sense. 

in season 4, al and bree were a lot meaner to each other originally, because i love it when it gets busy at the brighton and the gay people get mean, but then i thought about it and decided it was out of character for both of them to be downright cruel. al and bree also had a scene in season 4 that was cut due to just not making sense. 

also, in season 5, the “inner white girl” scene originally wasn’t in the show at all, but one day i was listening to the song, and about a week before the episode came out, i wrote it. also, bree wasn’t written to be a she/they until literally the day of putting the clip out because i thought it would be cool. that’s it :)

also the way i write is that i write the full clip out in a google doc and then edit it in ao3 about an hour before i put it out, so a lot of changes happen there. just small things, like making dialogue flow better, changing certain songs because i just want to, and sometimes adding in new sequences that i just thought of.

20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)

oh!!!! there!!!!! is!!!!! 

personally, my favourite thing to write is little symbolic moments that make me happy because i play 4d chess in my head with myself every time i write.

before i go off, i must say, so many hints and clues have been dropped for season six so far. season six has been my favourite season to write and i’m already planning a spin-off project based on it to write, and it’s gonna be starting sooner than you think.

so a piece of writing i’ve been thinking about lately is the parallels between the girl squad and the lad squad. before i begin to go off, these are the characters i think parallel each other the most.

jake - sandy james - bree nick - rori theo - esther al - liz

jake and sandy is quite an obvious parallel to draw - both are football players, both begin the series closeted and having a close relationship with bryan - but their personalities are quite similar. both of them are closer with their mother than their father, both use their relationships as a method of protection, and both are afraid of of societal rejection at the beginning of the series. they also both discovered their sexualities and mental health issues over the course of their seasons, and both of their love interests are more outgoing theatre kids. jake and sandy’s relationship is also so interesting to me - because they start as very awkward friends, and jake tries to help sandy by making bryan break up with her, but outs her in the process, and sandy doesn’t want to forgive him. she takes her time and comes to terms with it on her own and decides to forgive him because sandy’s just a sweetheart - and this also parallels the way jake takes his time to forgive his mother. also, in their friend groups, they’re both the newcomer to them, and we get the introductions to the group dynamics in their seasons, and in the later seasons, they’re both a lot more relaxed as they’re in recovery <3

james and bree are also very similar characters. both have problems with substance abuse, both have promiscuous reputations, both have both mommy and daddy issues. they are both dean girls, to put it in spn terms. they’re both very funny, and use humour to cover up their struggles. both are dealing with a lot of mental illness and, throughout the series, it becomes more and more clear. they’re also both seen as “the hot ones” of their groups, with a lot of the characters canonically having small crushes on them (liz, rori and nick with james; rori, esther and annabell with bree). they’ve also both canonically hooked up with sophie. which i just think is fun. they also played mimi and roger together, which i think shows their parallels as addicts and people (with roger struggling with recovery and depression until the end, when he begins to get help, and mimi living the high life until it all crumbles down around her). they also share a want for independence and both are very sana-esque characters (james being middle eastern and religious, bree being the cool rebel girl in season 1).

nick and rori are both the “fun friend”. they’re both comedic relief in the early seasons, but we do get in depth with them as the show goes on. in grease, they play james and bree’s love interests (which is ironic, as rori and bree get together and nick is in love with james), and in rent, they play angel and maureen, the two main comedic relief characters. both of them struggle to connect their asian identity with their british identity, and both struggle with how the world perceives them (nick with their gender presentation and rori with her eating disorder). they both struggle with toxic masculinity and toxic femininity and use humour to cover up their struggles.

theo and esther are similar in the fact that they’re the squad members we know the least about. they’re both jewish, they’re both the mum friend of their respective groups, they’re both autistic and they’re both quite nerdy. they’re the most grounded member of their respective groups and tend to take charge and help make decisions. they’re also both quite sarcastic and very firm in their opinions. 

al and liz are parallels simply because they are both nooras and vildes. they’r eboth autistic, they’re both the odd one out in their friend groups - liz being a lot more serious than the girl squad, al being a lot more in his own little world than the lad squad. they’re both very blunt and straight forward and say whatever they’re thinking.

also just some of my favourite bits of foreshadowing: nick being bitchy to liz throughout season 2 because they’re in love with james….. al talking about his sister to jake in season 3 and whenever al talks to the girl squad, bree insults him or walks away…… in season 4 episode 1, audrey mentions bree’s cousin is pregnant and then when bree finds out the results of her pregnancy test, oh no by marina plays (i’m now becoming my own self fulfilling prophecy)....... nick and all of his gender stuff throughout the series……. just all of the character stuff with grease and rent….. also just bree and rori’s whole relationship arc because it has everything. queerbaiting. subverting expectations. musical homoeroticism. a little cheating for fun. and they were best friends. honestly bree and rori season 3 is very august by taylor swift…… you weren’t mine to lose…….. 

speaking of, no one asked by here’s each season of skambr and the taylor swift albums they’re most like.

season 1 - debut/fearless

bro sandy is just such a debut/fearless era person. she’s looking for her place in this world!!!!!! she has the teardrops on my guitar energy (quite literally sandy pre-canon voice i bet he’s beautiful that boy she talks about and he has everything that i have to live without about bryan and sophie)..... the fun giggly crush songs that are deeply homoerotic….. esther season 1 voice the entirety of you belong with me. like esther really made a deeper connection with sandy in one month that bryan did in years of knowing her. sandy also is the type of person to stan love story, she just thinks it’s such a fun song and she does yell the key change every time it comes on. 

season 2 - speak now/lover

elizabeth!!!!! liz is the type of person who only liked old taylor and then got internalised misogyny and then got over it and loves taylor again. the story of us is canonically a liz/rori song…. yes i am still a liz/rori subtext warrior….. liz is very never grow up and dear john is a very her and james song in the fact that they both relate to it……. when they bonded over their trauma “don’t you think i was too young”...... also lover is a liz season 2 album because it’s about liz learning that love is the most important thing in the world….. liz voice i want to be defined by the things that i love. also the archer is just a skam brighton song because it is an isaac song. also i’m just gonna say it. i like me! it’s a good song when brendon urie isn’t in it, you all are just afraid of having fun. also though liz in season 5 is very better than revenge because, while her season is about unlearning your internalised prejudices, i believe she deserves to be misogynistic for 3 minutes 37 seconds.

season 3 - red

now this is controversial. this season is about depression, grief and anger, and these feelings are red. literally jake voice so you were never a saint and i loved in shades of wrong we learn to live with the pain mosaic broken hearts….. like treacherous….. holy ground….. the whole country pop vibe….. the bitchy songs mocking people’s perceptions of the singer…..  22 is a lad squad song…. also jake voice i remember it all too well but it’s about his father’s abuse and his mother’s neglect…… like the whole season is just jake getting to the point where he is at “begin again”. also i feel like jake would like red because he spent a lot of time watching taylor swift music videos as a youth both because he liked the music and had crushes on the guys in them, and he feels red is the perfect middle between the country and the pop and the indie and he just really likes being sad.

season 4 - reputation

bree big reputation holland!!!!!!!!! she has it all - the romantic drama, the hatred of men, the fucking homoeroticism. bree stans the reputation tour and they have made the entire holland-fletcher family watch it on their netflix (al fucking loved it because he’s a canon swiftie, audrey had a fun time, patrick was a little confused, but has the spirit). listen bree “i did something bad”. bree “look what you made me do”. bree and rori “new year’s day”. bree voice i swear i don’t love the drama, it loves me!!!!!!!!! like the reason the season has a lot of reputation songs and ends with daylight from lover is a metaphor for bree leaving their reputation era…. also reputation has she/they vibes

season 5 - 1989

1989 my best friend 1989!!!!!!! i am coming out here as a 1989 (deluxe) stan. it’s just a serotonin album for me and it is just so nick. the mocking songs about their reputation…… the genuinely deeply depressing homoerotic songs that have fun upbeat music…… the cars….. also clean is just such a nick song. he is in recovery, he is just so personal to me. also nick voice one night he wakes strange look on his face pauses then says you’re my best friend and you knew what it was he is in love!!!!!!! nick canonically in love with all of their best friends braxton!!!!! also nick feels like a 1989 stan because they just have those fun energies. nick WILL scream the spoken part of shake it off at the top of his lungs. also new romantic is just a skamverse song in general. also just. out of the woods. no reason for me to say it other than it’s one of my favourite songs of all time.

season 6 - folklore/evermore

no evermore is not out yet. yes i am claiming it for season 6. see taylor has said that these albums are all about telling stories/fairy tales and that’s what season 6 is about. i cannot wait until next friday when the main and my plans for the hiatus are revealed…….. genuinely i do not know how anyone perceives skam brighton so i don’t know who people think the next main is, but…… i can only describe the state of me writing this season as the various ambiguous disorder gifs.

This next fandom is also close to my heart and has been one of my biggest fandoms so far (besides Teen Wolf and Shadowhunters/TMI)

So without further adieu....

Day Three- The Vampire Diaries

[NEXT UP: THE ORIGINALS since I love different things about both series.]

1) Favorite Character: Tied Alaric Saltzman & Jeremy Gilbert

Reason: Alaric is an all around good person for someone who is so broken and flawed. He is a badass and does everything he can for the people he cares about. He has gone through so much in his life but always manages to persevere no matter how many times life tries to take him out (literally on several counts). He can be selfless and brave even in the face of great evil. He has his flaws. He drinks too much, he encourages bad behavior, he considers himself a lost cause but all that makes him that much more interesting.

As for Jeremy, I will always have a soft spot for Jeremy Gilbert. He lost so much at such a young age, bringing him into the world of the supernatural. He was a badass who not only had the ability to communicate with the dead, a consequence of being resurrected by Bonnie after he was shot and killed by Liz Forbes, but he became a badass hunter who took out one of the most unpredictable Originals (Kol). He was funny, talented, romantic, loving, loyal to a fault, protective of those he cared about and an adorable dork. I adore Jeremy Gilbert.

2) Most Relatable Character: Matt Donovan

Reason: Out of all the characters Matt is the most "normal". He is keen on staying human despite having his run ins with the supernatural world. He is cool with just blending in and not standing out. He is fiercely loyal to those he cares about, he's headstrong, protective and down to earth. Your typical boy next door. These qualities make it very hard for other characters not to like him, and he has captured the hearts of several females throughout the series. However, as the years have passed and he's lost more friends, Matt has become colder and even ruthless to a degree. I can understand all of this. Not wanting to stand out, doing everything you can to protect the people you care about, losing friends and turning cold and ruthless because of a need to not lose more. Of all the characters he is the most relatable.

3) Most Underrated Character: Bonnie Bennett

Reason: Yes, I know there are quite a few Bonnie stans in the fandom but I still feel like this beautiful and powerful witch is underrated in terms of the show as a whole. She does so much for everyone, even to the point of exerting her powers until she is almost dead (or until she does die in one case), and gets very little recognition for it from the people she almost died/did die saving. She is selfless in putting herself in these positions and not expecting a thank you but damn it she deserves all the thank yous for saving everyone's ass time and time again. She doesn't have to do the things she does but she does them anyway because she is fiercely loyal and cares deeply for the people she saves. She is beautiful, powerful, loving, caring, snarky and an all around badass. I stan Bonnie so much.

4 & 5) Most Overrated Character & Least Favorite Character: Elena Gilbert

Reason: I chose Elena for both because let's face it, she is probably one of the worst characters in the series. Elena claims to be so compassionate and caring but she can be an annoying dimwit most of the time. She puts herself in situations that make everyone else in the series risk their lives to save her. Her martyr complex is both stupid and annoying. She acts as if she can take the entire world down by herself when most of the time she only makes things worse for everyone else. She has hurt almost everyone in the series at least once either physically or emotionally and for someone people claim is so "compassionate" she acts as if she could care less about the people she hurts unless there's something in it for her. She claims she is nothing like her ancestor Katherine Pierce but she is almost identical at times only slightly nicer. She toys with people just like she does and claims she "doesn't mean to", like Stefan, Damon, Matt and they doctor she dated and threw away whose name escapes me now. Plus she is just boring when she isn't getting herself or others in trouble. Some main character, Katherine is more interesting. Don't come at me Elena stans, this is my opinion.

6) Favorite Canon Pairing: Bonnie Bennett & Jeremy Gilbert [Close Call Honorable Mention- Bonnie Bennett & Enzo St John]

Reason: This was a close one to call because I adore both ships so much but I have a soft spot for Jeremy and his relationship with Bonnie. They had an adorable relationship, always bringing out the best in each other (after the whole kissing Anna's ghost fiasco early on) They loved each other fiercely and did everything they could to look after each other, especially when Bonnie brought him back to life the first time and sacrificed herself to bring him back from the Other Side. I was upset when they ended their relationship for good though I was happy for a while to see Bonnie and Enzo until they sadly ended as well. I swear my girl couldn't catch a break when it came to love.

7) Favorite Non-Canon Pairing: Klaroline (Klaus Mikaelson & Caroline Forbes) [Close Call Honorable Mention: Dalaric (Damon Salvatore & Alaric Saltzman)]

Reason: Ok I adore Dalaric, I am a Dalaric shipper to my very core because I have a soft spot for two hot men together. But in terms of my favorite pairing, relationship wise, I would probably have to say Klaroline.

I say Non-Canon for Klaroline because they never officially got together.

When we first see Klaus is a ruthless asshole with no regard for humanity or other people if they interfered with his agenda. Enter Caroline, who was usually used as bait, and she flipped his world upside down. The big bad hybrid went love sick for a pretty blonde. She brought out the side of him he had buried over the years under all the hurt, anger and loneliness. She played hard to get and they never officially got together other than an impromptu hook up in the woods but you could tell they really loved each other. Reason: Alaric died many times throughout the series and was brought back with the help of a magic ring but when Esther Mikaelson turned him into an Original Vampire and he became linked to Elena, her death lead to his death and it was a very emotional scene that made me sob my eyeballs out. The scene that followed later with Damon at his grave also made me sob.

Elena turning her Humanity off was one of the worst moments for me for several reasons. While I hate Elena, I felt for her in that moment. Jeremy had just been killed by Katherine, she had already lost her entire family including Alaric and it lead to one of the most dramatic and emotional scenes of the series before Damon forced her to turn off her emotions. I cried.

She’s more of a savory gal but Elizabeth can never resist a slice or four of her favorite dessert. I love that there were consequences to turning off the training wheels protocol. He didn't just get a whole bunch of cool features and became amazing. He turned it off and he messed up. He didn't know how to use things and it got him hurt. They were put there for a reason. It showed that Tony planned on training Peter for a while. All of the features Tony put on the suit to seemingly “limit” peter, were put their for his protection and come in handy later. The tracker allows Tony to save him after the parachute thing. The “baby monitor” lets him find out the identities of the arms dealers. Its just like actual parents and teenagers. Teens think the parent is being unfair and just trying to stop them from having a good time (and sometimes it is just unfair) but its for their own good. ·Learning curve again. He also just didn't always make the best decisions, even if things turned out alright. Like think about. Every time stuff got destroyed it was his fault. He tried to stop the arms deal under the bridge and ended up being dragged down the street. He kept the piece of alien tech, which caused the accident at the Washington monument. He tried to bust the arms deal on the ferry and it got cut in half. He tried to stop vulture again and crashed a plane. Which i think is actually great because remember vultures origin story of being the guy who has to clean up after that type of stuff. But anyway, Peter makes mistakes and messes up. He doesn't even have a cool sequence of transforming into spider-man, he has to undress in an alley. Like he isn't this effortlessly cool and talented superhero which is so incredibly true to the character of Peter Parker. ·michelle tells their teacher the Washington monument was built by slaves. ·Martin Starr ·Zendaya ·this entire cast really. Even Karen is Jennifer Connelly!!! ·Peter bonding with Karen. ·OMFG Aunt May! ESPecially at the end. Like i cannot wait to see her reaction more in depth. ·we got passing comments about the spider bite and uncle Ben. Which is fine, they basically skipped the first half hour of the other first spider-man movies, but i did wish that we would've gotten a flashback or something small. So i’m just going to put this out there for marvel, flashback to uncle ben (or possibly peter’s parents/father) in infinity war or something for just a hot second, maybe even just a picture of him maybe? and the actor, Tobey Maguire. I’ll leave it to you. ·Tony just wants to clean up his messes but he cant even do that without there also being a problem. He just cant win. But i guarantee that if Tony was there when damage control told them they were taking over, he probably would've tried to hire those guys instead of just telling them to beat it. Also… Vulture just trying to support his family and all, and we don’t know what his life was truly like before damage control stepped in. But… He seems to speak like hes still on rough times but…look at liz’s house.like it seems like he got money. ·i think its liz’s drawing of the avengers at the beginning. · When they are in the car, driving to homecoming, and Vulture is slowly figuring out who Peter is (kinda like the dinner scene with the green goblin in the first spider-man) and when he figures it out, the green from the street light is on his face, and just...symbolism. ·i think i missed the part where Harrison was dressed up instead of tom. Did they actually put that in because or maybe i just cant remember the scene right now. I know it was sometime when he had the decathlon jacket on. I think it was when he was stuck in the damage control facility. But for some reason my mind is blurring it. He was just running. ·when tony asks peter to stay at the avengers facility i kinda got the feeling that while tony was proud of peter for knowing what he wants he was kinda sad to know he wasn't going to be staying. Especially after what happened in civil war. He obviously thought it all out and planned things. Kinda like after Avengers, he kinda got excited and attached to everyone, got them their rooms in the tower and all. So kinda sad… · the nod towards Miles Morales and just Donald Glover in general is great. I wont lie that i would've loved more of him and maybe an actual cameo from miles but this was great. Maybe in another film.. · “Come on man, i got ice cream in here.” ·the principal is a descendant, i think grandson, of Jim Morita and played by the same guy, Kenneth Choi!!! Yaaaaasss! Like no wonder this guy is still playing these Cap videos in the school even if he is “technically a criminal” ·Bruce Banner and Howard Stark pictures in the school 😊 ·he isn't driven by romance. Saving or wooing Liz isn't his main goal in the story. There isn't even a kiss (like was teased in the trailer). ·i kind of wish instead of scorpion, the next villain tease would've been for doc ock, or sandman or green goblin but that’s purely personal preference. A black cat hint would've been cool as well, but i understand why they didn't do that. They did hint at the sinister six so they kinda did hint at doc ock and them. ·the video diary bits ❤ and just how well it fits into civil war like a puzzle piece, not just tacked onto the end. · I know some people complained about too many references to other parts of the marvel universe but I liked it. I love references and easter eggs personally, but also this is suppose to be an cinematic universe. everything is suppose to be connected. Why wouldn’t we see descendants of characters, or hear about the sokovia accords in class, or have pictures of notable inventors/scientists in schools, etc.etc.

Like they aren’t seemingly stealing that much stuff. Its not like they kill the drivers and steal the entire truck…they just want a little bit. ·"im trying to save you!“ Like yo…almost cried. I was freaking out. ·"i wanted you to be better.” I know they showed this in the trailer but it was just as impactful this time round. Same with the “if you're nothing without the suit you shouldn't have it.” Like i cannot handle these Tony feelings. ·honestly the part at the end when he is looking at the reflection of himself, half masked, and the line from tony is echoed was…kinda cheesy. But it was still pretty impactful. Especially considering tom holland’s acting at that part. Nearly crying and yelling for help and wiggling around under the concrete, just so down on himself… almost made me cry. ·Just an overall amazing representation of “with great power, comes great responsibility”. There are consequences to his actions, he isn’t just amazing right from the start, he makes mistakes, and has low points and although he doesn't grapple too much with whether or not he wants to be spider-man (he pretty much always picks spider-man over anything else) he still struggles with how to do it and how to balance it. And its important to him that he does a good job, not just because its cool to be a superhero but because he feels the need to. He obviously doesn't brag about it and even chooses to not even come out as an official avenger. He knows where his heart is, where his home is, and by the end of the film he is pretty sure on where his responsibility lies. He realizes that there are big avenger level problems going on, but there are also small jobs to be done. Helping the little guy. He turns down a cool new suit, staying in a facility with the avengers, his own safety and life, to help out those in need.

Late to The Party: Season 5 of The Blacklist Rant

I love this show. I know I'm late to the party but I am Gen X and my attention span cannot deal with commercials. I pay for and binge episodes as they become available in Netflix/Google Play/Amazon. And I struggled with Season 4, and was okay with a long wait for Season 5.

I mean, we've all struggled with the plot over the past 5 years, and tried to come to terms with the bullshit decisions of the protagonists as well as the villains. But at the end of Ruin, I understood what it was all about the second I watched Reddington kiss Liz on the head and burn the bones.

I didn't accept it, but I knew.

And then I understood why. Why everyone had to die to protect the secret of the bones. Reddington's "personal matter".

I strongly suspect everyone on the list has/had the potential to tell the secret, and that's why many are dead.

I strongly suspect Reddington is #1 on the list.

I haven't seen all the fan theories. I stopped when most of what I was seeing is bitterness that we aren't going to get a Lizzington ship, or that we are because he's not her father after all, and we still won't get a ship cuz she hates him, or... shipping her in spite of /because he's actually her father/has paternal feelings.

I know Red's world is fucked up. But y'all have some serious issues when it comes to recognizing love. I keep thinking, these people simply don't know the difference between the look of love a patent gives a child and the look of sexual/romantic interest/love a person gives a potential partner.

It's the same bullshit with Stucky Stans. If you have a penis, and express friendship or love, you must be getting your dick wet. That beach episode after Liz "dies" makes so much more sense now.

It's heartbreaking, because Liz WILL figure it out. I 'm angry she's the FBI agent and hasn't yet. And when she does, it's going to be a nuclear escalation scenario in which Reddington will die, ending the show, and Liz will not be able to live with herself.

I know it's likely Katarina did things just to stay alive and get to spend time with Liz. But I think being trans was just as important in her decision, and it sucks everyone is in complete denial. The shippers, the fans, the characters, Liz herself. All because it's too repugnant to consider.

But I'm not repulsed. And despite the hateful shitstorm of negative attention to follow, I am truly hoping NBC is brave enough for this revelation.

After all, there was that episode about forcing gender reassignment on the Iranian.

Oh, and there actually ARE surgeries to add height via bone grafts in real life. That's why I find the occasional shots of Raymond's calves so interesting. I swear Ron hates Gabi though. I mean he did Gabi dirty to prop up Abigail and Chad. Then has her daughter hate her, everyone protecting Abigail. And now I read she is going to be infertile.

They keep saying Abby didn’t mean to but this whole story was bs and they only did it so Abby would be a victim. Which is gross btw Ron would make a character be raped instead of creating another tale between Stefan/Abby/Chad. (like honestly, she was with EJ and really liked him idk like it’s not that hard to believe that she would be enthralled with Stefan if they wrote it a different way). 

My problem with Abby’s character I really loathe how they try to write her like weak, and need protection from everyone and many fans fall for that trap. Where no Abby may not be like a Sami, or Kate, or Gabi but she is strong and has a dark side to her. She can do shady shit (Like a Liz). The last time i really loved Abby was when she tried to burn Ben alive if I’m being honest.

Beside Abby like…we need a good vixen from that generation. cuz again Lani is okay but doesn’t have bad side like that then abby just has failed me. Gabi has the potential to be a bad girl and i like it. I deserve it after dimera fam being washed down.
