hellooo!! tbh I'd love to see anything with lloyd (first confession, smt like that)? tysm ^^
Hey hey hey!! It’s been a while since i’ve written some ninjago, quite excited ngl 🫣 anyways, enjoy!! 🌷🧸💕

“You’re bright like the city lights”
A LLOYD X READER TROPE

At first, Lloyd was oblivious to his feelings
He just thought you and him were closer than the others
Especially when this guy was practically forced to age up, he hasn’t even properly grown
He was super confused about his feelings, he would always want to be with you, but for some reason his stomach would feel funny (it’s butterflies)
But let me tell you, when he realized, he was STILL oblivious.
But forcefully
Like, the others would probably make the dots connect with each other
“Hey, Lloyd?” Kai spoke up
“How come you never confessed to Y/N yet?”
Lloyd hearing this, spat out his drink so fast
“But I don’t even like them!” He retorted back
The silence in the room was SO LOUD.
“Uh huh…” Kai said while nodding uncertainly
“I just think they’re pretty, and nice, and caring, and they have such a beautiful smile— OH MY GOD I DO LIKE THEM.”
And this guy would avoid you like the plague, trying his hardest to ignore his feelings
BECAUSE NOW THAT HE REALIZES, HIS FEELINGS WOULD JUST GET WORSE
Just give it time, he’ll eventually succumb into his feelings and he’ll give it what it wants (its you)
I feel like the way he would confess would be in a mission
A fake mission
“Y/N we need help! We got trapped” or something bullish like that
And when you do arrive
It’s a dark room, you turn on the light and all you see is Lloyd standing there with his hair done, a bouquet of roses, and a tuxedo standing so awkwardly while Kai secretly lights up candles in the back, Cole hiding in the ceiling along with Zane, dropping rose petals from their hiding spot
It was overall so cute
But he wouldn’t just ask you to be his S/O right then and there
He’ll probably ask to court you or take you on a date
He wants to have somewhat of small chemistry before you guys actually put a label
(Or maybe because he’s scared and he’s never done this)
You’re little dates would be so cute and adorable whether its staying inside or going out
He does whatever you want, as long as you’re happy
FIRST DATE WAS HELLISH THO
He had severely overdressed
(You guys were going on a picnic)
And this guy had slick back hair, tuxedo pants, and a white button up
ITS A PICNIC NOT A RESTAURANT
But he did it under pressure, this guy didn’t know how to dress properly, especially for his first date with YOU
“Am i wearing too much?”
“Jeans are weird, would they like them?”
“What if they noticed it’s ironed?!”
“Yknow what ill wear sweatpants”
“BUT THATS SO SLOPPY AND DISGUSTING”
Like said, under pressure
But either way you guys enjoy each other’s company
And when he’s finally ready to label it, i think he’d randomly blurt out the three specific words
It was midnight, you guys were stargazing, but obviously he wasn’t looking at the stars, he was looking at you
The way the moonlight gently hit your face, the stars sparkling your eyes, how his hand is intertwined with yours, he would randomly blurt it “i love you”
Then boom yall are dating, with your first kiss initiated

Thank you! ^^

I literally just want Misako to say "I'm so sorry for abandoning you, I tried to protect you and I only caused you more pain, I know I have no right to come back into your life now, and you don't have to accept me, but I just want you to know that I'm sorry and I love you.”
LIKE PLEASE
I WANT TO SEE THEIR RELATIONSHIP BECOME AWKWARD. I WANT LLOYD NOT TO KNOW HOW TO ACT NOW THAT HE HAS HIS MOTHER BACK. I WANT TO SEE MISAKO QUESTIONING IF SHE'S BEING A GOOD MOTHER OR GOING OVER THE LINE BECAUSE SHE DON'T KNOW HOW TO HAVE A CHILD EITHER.
AND
I WANT GARMADON TO BE AFRAID OF HURTING LLOYD MORE THAN HE ALREADY HAS. BUT TRYING TO BE THE FATHER HE NEVER COULD. I WANT TO SEE LLOYD HAVING NIGHTMARES ABOUT HIS FATHER AND BEING TOO SCARED TO TELL HIM. THEY WANT TO BE A HAPPY FAMILY BUT WITH THEIR HISTORY THAT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE

Getting brain rot from this shit rn. Ok so basically it’s Lloyd x reader with Both povs: reader is absolutely SMITTEN with Lloyd. I’m talking like staring at him with heart eyes in math class type shit. Unfortunately, he is not aware she even exits. HOWEVER, she does have a collection of love letters addressed to him, that she has not sent due to embarrassment. Her friends find out about it, and however do not approve of Lloyd, are like “whatever makes you happy” and urge her to start putting them in his locker, one/ a day as his secret admirer. Lloyd gets them, but is skeptical at first, because he thinks it’s just another form of bullying/public embarrassment. After a few days of getting them though, he shows the rest of the gang to see what they think. They are *very supportive* of him, and encourage him to find out who it is. And after a while of running around with no lead, he finds reader at lunch, writing one of those beloved pink letters. You can go from there!
Fem reader, school au thingy
Reader is described as smart, flustered easily, basically an awkward Highschool kid
TYSM FOR WRITING THIS

secret someone. | lloyd x reader
This isn’t like you at all.
A quiet sigh escapes you as your fingers fidget with your pen, desperately trying to tune into the lecture. It isn’t exactly difficult material; you understand it quite well. It’s just the fact that the teacher only teaches using a monotonous PowerPoint, voice droning on and on and on. In short, your goblin brain has been focused on something else entirely. Something with far more visual appeal:
Lloyd Garmadon.
Yes, the blond-haired, emerald-eyed son of an Oni warlord had become the subject of your schoolgirl infatuation as of late. For a few weeks now – almost a month – you've had him on your mind. You’re not entirely sure what triggered it, but you’d caught yourself staring at him one day. It all got worse from there.
Hell, you haven’t even really talked to him. Sure, he’s in a few of your classes, but you never were able to build up the courage to actually initiate conversation. Something about him was warmly inviting but also deeply intimidating, and you can’t quite put your finger on what that could be.
It could be the rumors – whispers shared in the hallway while the “Garmadork Squad” passed, about how Lloyd would eventually share the same fate as his father and drag his friends down with him. But you highly doubt that. From what you’ve seen of him, he’s super sweet to others no matter how badly they may treat him. You’d always found that admirable considering how the majority of the school is against him.
You’re snapped out of your haze when the bell rings, relief coursing through you. Thank the stars it’s the end of the day. You quickly gather all of your belongings before stuffing everything into your backpack, hauling it up on your desk so that you can zip it up. With that, you’re ready to go.
…
“Hey! Sorry I’m late!” you yell, spying all of your friends already seated at the café. “You know how busy the school gets when it lets out.”
“No worries,” one of them replies as you set your backpack on one of the empty chairs. You unzip it, grabbing your wallet before going to order a drink.
While you’re waiting for it to be made, you hear a little bit of commotion at your table.
You turn to see two of your friends crowded around the table, both looking down at something. Not thinking anything of it, you turn back around, idly scrolling through your phone as you wait.
Once the barista hands it over to you, you thank her. Then, you make your way back to your table.
Upon arriving, you find two of your friends fussing over a mess made on the floor.
“What happened?” you question, peering through them.
“I tripped and knocked some of our stuff over,” the first one replies, kneeling down to clean up the mess.
Your heart skips a beat when you realize that some of the contents of your bag have spilled, including one of your personal binders.
“Wait!” you squeak, pushing past them to gather all of the pink papers up. You shove them back into the binder, a blush adorning your cheeks as you pray none of them got the chance to read one.
To your dismay, though, one of your friends has already grabbed one, eyes scanning over the contents.
“Hey!” you say a little louder than you meant. “That’s...um...”
“What is it?” another girl questions.
“Aww...sorry, I didn’t realize this was so personal. Curiosity just kinda took over, I guess,” replies the girl that had been reading your letter. You grab it back from her, sighing heavily as you try not to be embarrassed.
“It’s okay,” you mumble, re-packing your bag and making sure it’s completely zipped. “Did...anyone else see it?”
“I kind of...told them. I’m sorry.”
You groan. “I guess it would have come out at some point anyway.”
“So...Lloyd?”
You sigh, burying your face in your hands. You should have just left your letters at home. “Yeah.”
“But he’s-”
“Don’t say it. I know. I get it. That’s why I didn’t say anything.”
“Are you going to tell him?” another girl asks.
“I haven’t even talked to him yet! I just...think he’s cute,” you mumble. “It’s probably just a temporary thing anyway. Besides, not one of us has even talked to him! Don’t you think people treat him a little unfairly?”
“I guess you have a point,” she replies.
“Why don’t you just put those letters into his locker? Like, you could put one in there per day or something?” another friend suggests.
You take a sip of your drink, taking a moment to ponder the idea. Hm...
“Yeah, you could be his secret admirer! That’d be cute!” someone else adds.
“I don’t know,” you mumble, fidgeting nervously. “I don’t want to make him uncomfortable.”
“Come on! It’s worth a shot,” another encourages. “Just give it a try and see what happens!”
Maybe it wouldn’t hurt? You’re not sure. But maybe she’s right – it could be worth a try. And perhaps it would make you feel better in the process.
You nod. “Okay. I’ll put one in tomorrow, then.”
“You got this! Good luck!”
…
“Man, our math test is going to suck today,” Jay comments, groaning slightly.
“Wait, what test?” Kai questions, turning to face the redhead with a puzzled expression.
“You’re hopeless,” Nya comments, rolling her eyes as the group enters the school.
Lloyd chuckles, attempting to match the high energy of his teammates. He can’t really bring himself to join in on the banter, though. Instead, he finds himself nervous to face the day.
“Anyways, see you guys at lunch!” Nya yells, following Jay and Zane down one hall.
Kai pats Lloyd on the shoulder before he and Cole go to their lockers. “Later, sis.”
Lloyd approaches his locker, fingers going to spin the lock around until it pops open. He pulls the door open, getting out what he needs when a pop of color catches his eye.
“Huh?” Lloyd mutters, spotting a red envelope resting on top of his belongings. He definitely didn’t put that in there. Someone must have slipped it in.
He picks it up, reading the writing on the front.
Lloyd
“Probably another prank,” he mumbles, deciding to open it anyways.
Inside is a neatly folded piece of paper. It’s a vibrant shade of pink, with cutesy doodles lining the right side and a paragraph of unfamiliar handwriting on the left.
Dear Lloyd,
Hm…how do I start this? To be honest…I guess you can call me a secret admirer of yours? I hope I’m not coming off as creepy!! But I’m too nervous to actually come up and talk to you…
So, for now, I’ll write about my feelings in the form of these letters!
To make a long story short, I saw you standing underneath the sunlight about a month ago for the first time. And it just made me realize how handsome you are. You and sunshine go hand-in-hand; the way it casts your blond hair in a warm glow, complimenting your pretty green eyes…I wish I could see them up close. They’re such an encapsulating shade of green!
Anyways, I won’t ramble for too long. I hope you have a good weekend! ^_^
Sincerely,
Your Secret Someone! ♥
Lloyd stares at the letter for a few seconds before reading it again to ensure that he was reading it right.
No…there’s no way he’d have a “secret someone”. This has to be another cruel prank, right? Yeah, that’s it. The bullies are just trying to get to him. The thought of it potentially being real crosses his mind, but he quickly shakes the possibility off.
He sighs, stuffing the paper into his bag and getting the other items he needs before slamming his locker and zipping his bag. That’s a new low, even for the jerks.
Letter forgotten, he makes his way to class for the time being.
…
You make your way through the locker area to see if Lloyd has arrived. Sure enough, you spot him opening his locker. You grow more nervous by the minute. Would he be uncomfortable? Creeped out?
The anxiety has quite a chokehold on you, but at the very least you wanted to give it a shot. Soon enough, he starts reading it. Oh stars…
You slow down slightly, watching as his face contorts into something of a conflicted expression. Uh-oh, that doesn’t look good!
He shoves it in his bag before he leaves, not sparing the letter a second glance. You feel your heart drop slightly, making your way to class.
You pull your phone out, sending a quick text to your friend:
He didn’t seem happy about it
Idk he looks kind of conflicted??
You shut your phone off as you begin your walk to class, hoping you didn’t make him uncomfortable.
Relax, hes probably wary of stuff like that bc of the bullying
And he might be shy too? So keep trying. If hes still not into it after a while then you can stop
But I don’t think a few more will hurt
You sigh, reading through the message before replying:
Okay, fine...
…
Lloyd thought the letters were going to stop after that.
But he was wrong – they kept on coming. One after another, and he wasn’t sure how to feel. Would the bullies even go this far for a prank?
He sighs, tuning out his teacher, who’s rambling on about something boring. Once more, he reads the latest letter:
Dear Lloyd,
I’ve seen the way that people treat you around here. I don’t think it’s fair at all. And despite their treatment towards you, you still are kind to them. I think that’s admirable.
People shouldn’t treat you differently because of your bloodline. I wish there was more that I could do to help, but almost everyone is in on it. I’m sorry I can’t do more about it.
I think you’re inspiring. Despite being subjected to their negativity, you still face them with a smile.
You’re so strong. I like that about you too. Don’t let them get you down.
Sincerely,
Your Secret Someone! ♥
Lloyd pushes the paper to the side, wishing his stupid blush would go away. At this point, he’s not sure of what he should do. Part of him remains hopeful that maybe, for once, someone outside of his friend group is behind this. And, even better, doing it with genuine intention.
The question lingers on his mind until lunch, where he finds himself squished between Kai and Cole at the group’s usual table.
“What’s on your mind, greenie? You’ve been pretty contemplative today,” Cole questions as he destroys an unsuspecting bottle of chocolate milk.
“Uh…” Lloyd trails off, debating on whether he should tell them. But then again…what else would he do? “It’s just…I’ve been getting these letters in my locker every day for almost two weeks now. And I don’t really know how to feel...”
He shuffles through his bag before pulling the stack of letters out. Kai immediately snatches them, shuffling through the pile and reading them.
“Damn, Lloyd. Looks like you have a secret admirer!” Kai notes, chuckling.
“Awww!” Nya coos. Lloyd blushes, averting his gaze.
“But, don’t you think it could be some sort of trick? Or another prank?” Lloyd asks, watching as Kai hands the stack to Cole.
“You said this has been going on for two weeks, yes?” Zane questions.
“Yeah…”
Cole hands the stack to Zane, who immediately scans the papers discreetly. “I find the likelihood of this being a prank very low. This handwriting does not match any of the bullies.”
“How do you know that?” Kai wonders, staring at Zane with mild intrigue.
“Because of the papers they have thrown at us in the past,” replies the nindroid. “All handwriting that I come across is automatically stored in my memory.”
“Ah,” Kai mumbles. “Well, there you go, Lloyd. You should find out who it is!”
“But how?” Lloyd wonders as Kai hands the papers back. He stares down at the pink papers, taking a moment to trace the handwriting with the tips of his fingers. Who could it possibly be? He wouldn’t even know where to start...
“Well, when do the letters usually appear?” Nya questions.
“When I get to school, usually it’s already inside,” Lloyd admits, studying the pink papers curiously.
“Maybe we could try and arrive earlier?” Jay suggests. “That way, we can weed potential suspects out by seeing who gets here early.”
Cole nods in responds, shifting his focus to a helpless pudding cup. “That sounds doable.”
“Then let’s do it,” Kai encourages. “Let the hunt begin!”
…
Day after day, Lloyd and the others arrive earlier to school, but to no avail. Whoever is behind this is better than Lloyd initially suspected.
Even so, the group keeps their eyes peeled throughout the coming days. As the week ends, Lloyd finds himself losing hope despite his friends’ encouragement.
Friday approaches, with Lloyd tucking the latest letter in one of his notebooks before heading to lunch with Jay.
“Any luck?” Jay wonders.
“No,” Lloyd answers. “I’m starting to think this person is a ghost!”
“Aw, come on, greenie. You’ve got to have a little more faith! I’m sure we just missed something,” Jay responds.
“I don’t know, Jay,” Lloyd mumbles as the two enter the lunchroom. “Maybe we should-”
He’s interrupted by Nya rushing in front of him, yanking Lloyd by the bicep and pulling him towards the table.
“Nya?! What is it?” Lloyd wonders, eyes wide as Nya hushes him.
“Look over there,” she whispers, gesturing towards one of the nearby lunch tables. Lloyd frowns, narrowing his stare as he slowly turns around.
At first, nothing seems out of place. The area is just filled with a few tables of students milling about, eating lunch and chatting.
It’s then Lloyd notices one group of girls in particular, one of which is writing. Upon closer inspection, though, he finds that she’s writing on…
“Pink paper!” Lloyd exclaims quietly.
“And there’s a red envelope next to her too!” Nya adds, pulling both Jay and Lloyd to their usual table. “So it has to be her!”
“Isn’t she in some of your classes?” Jay questions as the three sit down with the rest of the group.
“Yeah, she is,” Lloyd says. Wow. It’s you? He never would have guessed…
He hadn’t really spoken to you, but from what he saw within the classroom, you tended to keep to yourself.
“Lloyd, did you see her?” Cole questions.
“Yeah, I did.”
“She’s in my science class, and she’s really smart,” Cole notes, as the group eats together.
“Pretty, too,” Kai adds. “So, what are you going to do?”
Lloyd thinks for a moment before coming up with an idea. “I know exactly what I’m going to do.”
…
You sigh, your worries beginning to get the best of you as you head towards your locker at the end of the day. Maybe you should just stop? You’re starting to feel a bit silly.
Momentarily you debate on texting your friends how you’re feeling, but decide to hold off. Well...you only have one letter left. Might as well finish them off before you make a decision.
As per usual, you slip the envelope into Lloyd’s locker for what you believe to be the last time. With that done, you go to your own locker in order to get what you need.
Sighing softly, you open your locker, about to exchange items when a flurry of motion captures your attention.
Your gaze drifts down to find a red envelope on the floor.
“What?” you mumble, frowning as you go to pick it up. Had you missed an old letter? That would make sense – perhaps one simply fell out of your binder?
But, when you flip it over, you find that the handwriting is not yours. Instead, your name is scrawled across the front in childishly messy handwriting.
Wait...no...this can’t...there’s no way...?
You anxiously gnaw on the inside of your cheek as you tear the envelope open, pulling out the pink piece of paper inside:
Following an addressal to you, it reads:
Well...it took me a while, but I finally figured out who you are. You’re pretty sneaky, you know that? I thought it would be simpler to find you.
But I figured it out at lunch yesterday – I happened to see you writing on a piece of pink paper when you were sitting with your friends. And...well, I was wondering how to answer all of the letters, and then I just thought: “Why not turn the tables?”.
First of all, I just want to say that, while I was a little skeptical at first (I thought that it might have been a prank), I really appreciate you taking the time to write these and put them into my locker every morning. These past few weeks have been tough – you know, bullying, plus tests and stuff – but your letters have helped me face the day. I started to look forward to them, all while wondering who you were...
...and now that I know, it’s made me realize that I want to get to know you.
We have a few classes together. I know you’re really smart and kind. And pretty. But I don’t know much else.
So, let’s change that.
Look behind you!
Sincerely,
Lloyd
Your eyes widen, cheeks burning as you swivel around to face none other than Lloyd himself.
You squeak, somewhat startled as you clutch the letter to your chest.
“Oh, I’m sorry! I, um...I didn’t mean to scare you,” he notes, rubbing the back of his neck as he averts his gaze.
“No, it’s o-okay!” you stutter. “I’m just...well, kind of flustered, I guess. I never thought that this would actually happen.”
“You certainly didn’t make it easy,” Lloyd jokes, chuckling as he rubs the back of his neck. “So...want to go get coffee sometime? I mean, only if you’re able! And, if you want to...”
“I would love to,” you mumble, smiling softly as your heart races.
“Can you come now? I know there’s a cafe nearby,” Lloyd invites.
“Sure! Just let me get my bag.”
With that, the two of you head towards the café together, not knowing that this is the start of something wonderful.

a lover’s spat
summary: reader tries to teach lloyd a lesson
pairing: lloyd hansen x f!reader (third person)
rating: mature
warnings: almost cheating, mentions of blowjobs, guns/gunshots, minor character injury/death, choking, third person for no reason??
w/c: 1.2k 😭 WAIT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A DUMBASS DRABBLE
a/n: i rewatched tgm and i have some thots.--i need a suicide squad jokerxharley type relationship with lloydxreader where they’re both crazy/erratic and always horny for each other.
- btw i'm writing this after 3 glasses of wine and i'm not gonna proof read it until tomorrow--so enjoy [?]
series masterlist
-=+=-=+=-=+=-
bear with me: imagine the reader attempting to make lloyd jealous
so everyone knows about Lloyd and his princess. Lloyd is a batshit-crazy murderer and his girl is the same. the only difference is that she does it all in heels.
evidently, no one wants to get involved in that shit-show.
they have a history of ending their explosive relationship with actual explosives, and celebrating their fiery make-ups with actual fire (and unnecessary torture sprees[?]).
basically, it's assumed that if someone gets in the way, they're asking to be collateral or volunteering to be their next meal.
now, the relationship is "on" again--and it's as rocky as ever.
Lloyd's precious princess is attempting to teach him a little lesson for ignoring her. apparently, he's been too focused on work lately: always kicking her out of his office because she’s “too distracting” when she hangs around.
she doesn’t understand. all she did was perch prettily on his lap, eat some snacks, and occasionally try to suck him down her throat. it's not her fault he can't handle it...
so she decides she’s gonna grab a cute boy from the club and ignore him. it's an innocent game of trying to make her boyfriend jealous. of trying to see how far she can go until he breaks down and fucks her.
but it doesn't go exactly according to plan.
her first mistake was doing it in his own club. he has eyes everywhere. every entrance is watched, every person is accounted for, and everyone is under his command. he won't miss anything.
her second mistake was wearing his favorite dress. she knows the barely there pink number drives him crazy: cut outs in all the right places, draping beautifully against her figure. he personally picked it out to fuck her in it for their second anniversary.
she thought it would be that extra kick-to-the-throat to send him over the edge.
her third and final mistake was breaking the kissing rule. despite what everyone thinks, lloyd can be a reasonable guy. at least for her. he gives her second, third, even fourth chances. she's allowed to tease, prod, or even grope other guys, but kissing has always been off limits.
unfortunately for him, she's always one to push the limits. that was his mistake.
she is exhilarated by the deathly stare he sends from across the dance floor. and though her lips were pressed against another, her eyes stayed locked onto his baby blues, drinking in every ounce of his fury. his hands curl into fists at his sides as he watches the scene under the dimmed lighting.
she sees him call over one of his men, eyes still locked with hers, grunting frustrated commands over the bass-boosted music. they nod, muttering into their earpiece before passing him a dark object.
suddenly, the music around her ceases. she recognizes this chest-tightening feeling: something is about to happen.
lloyd winks at her with a sly smirk before casually raising his arm in her direction--his long fingers delicately hold a gun. before she can separate from the man, an ear piercing bang echoes through the crowded room. everything stops for a moment: all dancing pauses, all talking ceases, and all breathing freezes.
then once everyone processes the noise, it's instant chaos. the music, still blaring through the speakers, is quickly drowned by high pitched screams, and frantic yelling. fear and desperation pools through the crowd, pushing everyone towards the exits.
his girl, however, simply rolls her eyes in annoyance: he just had to make a scene. she drags the back of her hand against her lips, wiping off smudged lipstick and the distinct taste of tequila, before abruptly pushing her experiment away from her, sharply aware of what is coming next.
the nameless man clumsily stumbles backwards in confusion, his drunk-fucked mind still unaware of the cause of the chaos. then another shot rings through the room, and he ceremoniously falls to his knees.
she sees lloyd graciously walking toward them, the crowd parting around him. a shit eating grin beams from under his 'stache.
"come'on, princess," his scolding tone is doused in honey as he considers the man under him. without hesitation, he pops another shot into the man's back before looking back up. "you know the rules." she doesn't pay any mind to the violent act, used to his outspoken actions.
she gives lloyd an innocent shrug, emphasizing her considerable cleavage that's now shining with sweat from the hot atmosphere of the (once) crowded club. "you said rules are made to be broken." she calmly smoothes out her short dress, ignoring his heated stare, pretending to make sure there aren't any unruly blood stains from her temporary partner-in-crime.
"so...what was this," he waves his gun around the fallen soldier, "little tantrum about, hm?" she hated how he talked to her like a child, always cooing and using easy words just to piss her off.
"the fact you don't know fuckin' proves my point!" she whines, pouting childishly under his gaze. "it's like you go through our relationship completely fucking blind, only caring when you feel like it!" he takes a swift step closer, taking her by surprise as he fully grabs her by the throat.
his words seethe through clenched teeth as he pulls her close enough for his forehead to touch hers, "look, baby, i've tried to be cordial with you, but now you're just being a brat." she can feel blood throb through her head as his grip tightens. "i don't know what crawled up your ass! i can't read your fucking mind!"
she squirms in his hold, weakly kicking against his shins, "you ignored me! you chose work over me!" her voice rasps out against his hand, but she's barely phased by her positioning. "you don't fucking love me!" his hand briskly releases her, leaving her a panting mess on her knees in front of him.
"you think i don't love you just 'cuz i wouldn't fuck you into the desk while i was on a call?"
"it was never an issue before..."
he sighs, realizing this is just another blip in their relationship that really doesn't matter. "honey, i actually have work to do. this isn't some hollywood fairytale where this money appears outta thin air."
she scrunches her nose at his condescending tone, finally having enough of this power play for the night. "obviously i knew that! i'm not fucking dumb, lloyd." she stands back up, trying to size him up even though he's quite a bit taller than her.
"well, if you knew it, then what's the fucking problem? why are we even discussing this." he groans, clearly done with the pointless argument.
"oh okay, so since you don't have a problem with it, there isn't one?"
"that's not what i said."
"whatever, lloyd. i'm done." she turns to the dark emptiness of the club, enjoying the finality of her heels echoing through the room.
a dark chuckle blooms from behind her, "yeah, that's not happening."
she turns her head over her shoulder with a snarky smile, movements not stopping, "uh-yeah, i think it is."
she spoke too soon.
as he clears his throat, every exit is swiftly blocked by one of his men, all dressed in thick black uniforms.
"no. i don't think it is.” she looks back, watching him fiddle with the gun in his hands as he stares her down, “why don’t you come back here, and sit nicely in front of daddy?” there’s a bout of silence between the couple, tensions rising as they both anticipate who’s going to make the first move.
she silently shakes her head, trying to hang on to her last strand of defiance. he tilts his head with frustration, “how about this: sit down like a good puppy or i’ll fuck your throat raw.”

𝚔𝚊𝚒
you guys mess with each other
will punch you off a cliff and laugh
but whines when you do it to him -_-
always rushes mobs when he shouldn’t
purposely looks enderman in the eyes and then gets scared when they’re provoked
gets a dog and names him tamale
takes tamale everywhere
probably loves tamale more than he loves you
until tamale gets killed by an enderman he provoked
and he gets really sad :(
but then you step up next to him and put your virtual minecraft hand on his shoulder and say:
“we will avenge tamale.”
you do that by killing the ender dragon together
tamale is avenged and kai learns his lesson
…until he smacks another enderman
𝚓𝚊𝚢
does a dramatic little thing:
“(y/n)…will you beat the ender dragon with me?”
you two randomly hyperfixate on beating the ender dragon together
it takes y’all HOURS but you do it at like 4 in the morning
playing with him is lowkey chaotic
he’s so scatterbrained and his mind is running at 4,893,928,420 miles per hour
gets scared of cave noises and hates exploring them
he gathers food and surface resources while you explore caves for iron and diamonds
then you two finally are able to begin your journey to conquer the end!
good with redstone but doesn’t like working with it that much
…unless he gets a cool machine idea
𝚌𝚘𝚕𝚎
y’all just build an aesthetic lil house together <3
either in a pretty forest, cave, flower biome, or mountain biome
he spends a long time planting saplings next to flowers in hopes it will spawn a beehive when the tree grows
surprises you with a gorgeous flower garden complete with a beehive!!
constantly gives you flowers. he loves minecraft flowers
you two take your time beating the game
cave explorations are your jam
y’all adopt a pet fox!!
his name is squirmy
doesn’t care much for the combat in the game but he gets very protective of you and squirmy >:(
𝚣𝚊𝚗𝚎
constantly has a plan
you try to get him to relax by building a cute snowy biome house
he doesn’t quite understand and tries to get his minecraft architect on
he’s also really good with redstone
makes cool redstone things
you two build your house in an icy biome
a lil polar bear lives nearby and vibes with y’all
he has a strategy to defeat the ender dragon
and it works >:)
𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚢𝚍
you two stay up late on the world you already have together
but tonight is different
tonight…you’re beating the ender dragon
it takes a lot of preparation, so the two of you divide and conquer the work
eventually, you’re both able to do it after a dramatic battle
you two celebrate by baking cake in the game
(but also by making hot chocolate and snacking on some sweets)
𝚗𝚢𝚊
ocean biomeeee
you two build your home next to an ocean
you have neighbors – three turtles :))))
you both spend lots of time building a cute house
nya loves exploring the ocean
she brings back an axolotl in a bucket one day!
makes cool redstone things that makes your minecraft life easier
you two also take your time beating the ender dragon – it’s not a priority but it’s a fun challenge for you both

“To my father and his incredible power, to my pupils for successfully unlocking what secrets the Temple of Light holds, and to our newest member of the team for aiding in Lloyd’s safe return,” Sensei Wu says as everyone sits quietly around the table, ravenously eyeing the feast in sight. “May we thank my father for the guidance he provides us even beyond the grave. Our war has yet to be waged, but each day we grow stronger. To the good fight.”
You glance around in awe as the ninja speak words of agreement before digging into their meals. In all honesty, you’re just astounded that this much food is normal for people in the city! Even so, the tools that the ninja are using to eat are unknown to you. You study the tool carefully and attempt to observe how the ninja are using them. But...they’re eating so fast that their hands are a blur!
You’re snapped out of your thoughts when Lloyd gently nudges your bicep with his elbow. “What’s up?”
“What…are you using to eat?” you wonder, studying the tools intently. There are two variants available at either side of your plate. “I’ve never seen anything like them.”
“It’s a dinglehopper,” Kai interrupts, causing Cole to hit him. “Ow!”
“A dinglehopper?” you repeat, holding up the object and staring at it. What a bizarre name.
“It’s actually called a fork,” Cole corrects, rolling his eyes. “Kai just won’t admit he has an obsession with princess movies.”
“Do not!”
“Yeah right. Who else slips in a reference from The Little Mermaid so easily?” Jay retorts.
“Shut up! You guys obviously got the reference too!”
“A fork?” you wonder. “And what’s a...mer-maid?”
Lloyd chuckles lightly. “Okay, so you use forks to pick up foods that aren’t convenient to touch. You know, if something is sticky or wet. Just so your hands don’t get dirty. It’s also more sanitary than eating with your hands. And a mermaid is a mythological creature – half fish, half human. They’re referring to a mermaid that’s in an animated movie.”
“Movies? And what does animate mean?”
“Man, you really live under a rock, don’t you?” Jay states.
“I do not,” you say, frowning in confusion as you stare at the redhead for clarification.
“That’s not…” Jay sighs. “Never mind. We have a lot to teach you.”
Zane offers you a patient smile, taking a moment to elaborate: “But to answer your question, a movie is a story or event recorded by a camera as a set of moving images and shown in a theater or on television. Also known as a motion picture or film."
“Moving pictures that tell stories?” you wonder, trying to visualize what that looks like.
Lloyd nods as he takes another bite. “Yep. There are tons of them too.”
“Wow…”
“Make sure to eat, dear. You’ll need your strength,” Misako reminds gently with a motherly smile.
“Here, hold your fork like this,” Lloyd says, holding out the utensil in his hand. You study the way his fingers are wrapped around the item, doing your best to mimic it. Your fingers get crisscrossed in the process, though, causing you to frown.
Lloyd laughs lightly, green eyes sparkling as he sets his fork down. “Here.”
He gently grabs your wrist, taking a moment to reposition your fingers until they’re correct. You feel your cheeks warming at the close contact.
“There, like that. Try it.”
“Okay. Do I just…?”
“Gently stab your food. Like this.” You watch in fascination as he spears a piece of food with his fork.
“I don’t understand how we didn’t have anything like this back at camp,” you say, testing the fork out for yourself. “It’s such a simple idea but works so effectively!”
The others chuckle as you admire the usefulness of the fork while finishing the small portion on your plate. What a useful object!
“May I ask what it is that you made?” you ask, directing the question to Zane. “This is so much better than condensed evil! And the only other foods I’ve had have come from the island in one form or another.”
“I’m sorry, one second, let’s back up…condensed what?” Jay interrupts with a confused glance.
“Condensed evil. Remember when Garmadon had to stay with us? That black stuff he was eating? That’s what condensed evil is,” Cole explains.
“Supposedly, it’s low in fat,” Kai adds between bites.
“I prepared a grilled chicken paired with roast veggies and rolls,” Zane answers. “I hope it is to your liking.”
“It very much is! It all tastes so divine!”
“I am glad to hear it,” Zane replies with a smile. “Please help yourself to seconds if you so desire.”
“Seconds?”
“And thirds. Fourths and fifths if you want,” Cole adds, happily munching on a vegetable. “Hell, I might even go for sixths tonight.”
“Seconds is another way of saying another plate of food,” Nya interjects, rolling her eyes at Cole. “And trust me when I say that average people do not eat as much as these idiots do. Hungry teenage guys are one thing, but hungry teenage guys that happen to train as ninjas? It’s a whole lot worse.”
“Another plate?” you wonder, looking back towards Zane for another answer.
“Of course. I always prepare enough for everyone to eat their fill. Considering everyone trains heavily, it is vital that everyone eats nutritiously so that we may perform our best.”
“Wow…” Not only would you be able to savor all of the different foods offered in Ninjago, but you’d also be able to eat as much as you see fit rather than how much your father told you to eat!
With that in mind, you help yourself to a bit more food, missing how the ninja are glancing at each other.
Dinner – as you had learned it was called – passed by relatively quickly after that. During the remaining time, the ninja informed you that the fork was not the only utensil utilized for eating: spoons and knives exist too for scooping and cutting purposes! Even wilder, Jay also told you that people even use combinations of utensils too, like sporks! That way, you can both stab and scoop food! It’s simply ingenious!
Now, you’re following Nya to her room, where you’re to stay for the time being.
“Well, this is it,” Nya says as she pushes the door to her room open.
“Whoa…this is all yours?” you ask, taking a step inside her room when she goes in.
“All mine,” she confirms as she walks behind a giant, foldable screen. You take the opportunity to have a look around. There are containers of varying sizes, weapons, armor, more items you don’t recognize...
You observe as she slings her gi over the top, emerging in a different outfit soon after.
“I guess you don’t have any spare clothes on hand,” Nya states. “In that case, you can just borrow some stuff from us. If you want, I’ll scrounge up some stuff we don’t really wear that often before you shower.”
“What is a shower?”
“Here, I’ll show you.” Nya gestures for you to follow her, so you do. She leads you out in the hallway, where she opens another nearby door. “This is the bathroom, reserved for the girls only.”
You nod, listening as she explains the various aspects that make up a functioning bathroom. She shows you how to operate everything too, leaving you baffled at what humanity has created to make everyday living easier. Not only that, but people from Ninjago even have specialized cleaning products that differ for hair and body! You can’t help but stare at the different bottles, listening as Nya explains each one.
“Hang tight for a second, I’m going to go see if I can find you a change of clothes,” Nya says, stepping out of the bathroom.
Her absence gives you a moment to yourself. After all that has happened today, it’s a welcome change.
You set the bottle back on the ledge of the tub, quieting down as you take a deep breath. Are these really going to be your last few days on the island? Even though you’re looking forward to what the future holds, it’s still a huge transformation. You know that it’s going to take some adjusting.
But what if people find you annoying?
You swallow nervously, taking a moment to look at your reflection. Nya explained that it was called a mirror. You find that looking at yourself this clearly is off-putting. Sure, you’d seen your reflection a few times before - like in the rippling surface of water, or on a glass shard. But never this clearly. It’s strange.
You avert your gaze to the floor. What will come of this new lifestyle, though? Will it be for the better? And how would your newfound power affect you in the end – will you prevail, or cave to the darkness?
Your string of questions is interrupted when the door opens again, revealing Nya bearing a stack of folded clothes.
“Here you go, these should do for the night. When we get back home, after everything blows over, we can go shopping to get you your own wardrobe and anything else you might need.”
“Shopping?”
She chuckles, setting the clothes on the counter. “I’ll explain later. Take your time in here, and if you need me, I’ll be right outside. Just yell at me.”
You nod. “Thank you, Nya.”
“Of course.”
…
The hot water of the shower reminded you of the hot springs you used to bathe in. Would you always have access to a shower now? You shake off the question as you dry yourself, gaze falling on the set of clothes Nya gave you.
You reach for the article on top, taking a moment to unfold it. It’s…a thick long sleeve shirt with a hood sewn on it, and it’s green – similar to the shade of Lloyd’s eyes. On the front reads the words:
green bean
Underneath the phrase is a picture of a green bean with a cute face. After taking a moment to wonder why it has a face, you shrug it on. It’s much different than what you’re used to, but it’s warm and comfy. Next up come the pants, which are simply black and soft. You feel like you might just fall asleep in such a comfy outfit. How can fabric even be this soft?
Once you’re finished in the bathroom, you step out, gi in hand as you walk into Nya’s room, setting your gi down on her dresser as she told you to do. Then, you start to wonder what to do next.
“Settling in well?”
You jump in surprise, turning to face the source of the voice. Lloyd stands there, still dressed in his gi.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you,” he replies as you walk over to him.
“Oh, it’s okay,” you say, smiling softly.
He returns the smile, gaze slipping to your shirt. “Hey, you chose my hoodie?”
“Hood-ie? Is that what this article is called?”
“Sure is. It…uh, suits you,” he compliments with a nervous chuckle.
“Really?”
Lloyd nods in response. “By the way, I meant to ask… Are you doing okay? Today must have been a lot for you, and I know my team can be kind of overwhelming.”
“I’m feeling better now, but yeah…it’s just going to take me some time to process that…this is my new life.”
“I know the feeling. It’s not easy, but I think you’ve been doing well.”
“Really?”
“I do.”
“Thank you,” you say.
“The others will come around soon enough,” Lloyd replies. “Just don’t take anything rude they might say to heart.”
You shrug in response, fiddling with your fingers as you turn to glance at the wall. “It’s okay. I understand their apprehension.”
Lloyd sighs, setting a hand on your shoulder. “But I can tell you really want to do good now. Anyways, you should get some rest. My mom might have found a new lead for us to investigate tomorrow, so you should sleep while you can.”
You nod, realizing that exhaustion had been lured out of hiding by the hot water of the shower. “Are you going to rest too?”
“Yeah, they’re making me take the night off from watch duty. Again,” he answers irritably as the two of you start in the direction of Nya’s room.
“Well, make sure you sleep,” you say.
“I will, I will. I just wish I could help out more. I feel like I’ve just been sitting around...”
You flop onto the...ah, what had Nya called it? Something with air. Oh! An air mattress! You sit up, facing Lloyd with a soft smile.
“You haven’t been just sitting around,” you reply. “You’ve been helping out too!”
Lloyd shakes his head, chuckling as he comes to a realization. “Oh, if you give me a second, I can get you a pillow. And a blanket, too.”
You yawn as Lloyd goes to retrieve whatever he was talking about. You can’t really remember what he said, because you find a sudden wave of exhaustion overpowering you as your head hits the bare mattress, eyes closing. Before you’re able to ask Lloyd what a pillow is, you fall asleep.
“Here, these should...” Lloyd quiets down as he spots you already asleep. “Oh.”
He chuckles, going to drape the fleece Starfarer blanket over your figure before gently setting your head on the pillow. Man, what even were you sleeping on beforehand that made you fall asleep so quickly on an air mattress? Lloyd had to use it a few times in the past, and he always found that he had difficulty falling asleep on it.
“Goodnight,” he mumbles, turning the lights off before exiting the room.
…
“Order up: coconut cream pie, served well done!” Kai yells as he shoots a beam of fire at an airborne coconut.
You chuckle lightly as the ninja experiment with their newfound powers, deciding to head back to where the others are.
This morning had been strange. You had awoken with a soft, large, and rectangular piece of fabric covering you, and with a cushion underneath your head. You don’t remember going to sleep with those!
Nya told you that they were respectively a blanket and a pillow, and had explained their functions to you. You’re honestly shocked that the people of Ninjago are able to pull themselves away from such intoxicating caterers of comfiness every waking morning! It was a challenge to get up with how utterly comfortable and warm you were.
But it wasn’t all bad. Mostly because Zane had made a fantastic breakfast for everyone. You learned that humans typically ate three times per day – which, once more, you found absolutely awesome – and ate your fill. Then, you went to observe the ninja as they messed with their new blades.
Yeah, you might have accidentally cut a few trees down with your cool new corruption blade. And maybe you had destroyed a few coconuts that Jay threw at you.
But it’s fine.
Your thoughts return to the present after you make your way to where the Bounty rests, spotting Lloyd standing next to Dr. Julien as he tinkers with a mechanical bird. The blond turns to you, smiling at you in silent welcome as you peer over his shoulder.
“Every cog, every gear is important. If one piece is missing, or out of place, the invention won’t work,” Dr. Julien explains as he closes the falcon’s panel. “Come now, little one. Time to fly.”
You observe in fascination as the bird takes off, flying over to where the ninja are. “Wow, you made that?”
“I sure did,” replies the doctor as he sets his tool down, turning to face you and Lloyd.
“That’s incredible,” you note, watching the falcon flying around in the distance. “It is so lifelike, and yet…you made that with your own hands.”
Julien chuckles, gingerly putting his tools away. “Thank you, my dear. All it takes is a bit of thought and ingenuity.”
The sound of a new pair of footsteps catches your attention. Sensei Wu steps down, staff in hand as he studies the three of you. “It is like you ninja. You each serve very important roles and are key parts to a magnificent fighting force.”
“If we're all gears, what if I'm the gear that doesn't work? What if I don't do my part? What if I can't defeat my father?”
“You are stronger than you know, Lloyd,” you reassure, setting a hand on his bicep as you catch his stare. “You will prevail, but you have to believe in yourself and those that fight alongside you.”
Sensei Wu nods in agreement. “What if there are no more ‘what-ifs’? The Final Battle is almost upon us. When that time comes, we will know the answer to ‘what-ifs’ whether we like it or not.”
“I know you don’t want to face your father, but there is no other choice,” Nya adds.
“But perhaps there is,” Misako interrupts, carrying a scroll. “I used to think it was inevitable, but then I found this.”
The sound of oncoming footsteps catches your attention. The ninja trek down the hill, all invested in Misako’s words.
“You mean Lloyd doesn’t have to fight? This I gotta hear,” Cole comments.
“The scrolls say that when the Helmet of Darkness is bequeathed to its rightful ruler, the Celestial Clock will count down to the activation of an unspeakable weapon - the first sign that the Final Battle between good and evil has begun.”
“Did you just say ‘unspeakable weapon’?” Kai questions as you bite your lip.
“Uh… I’m still stuck on what ‘bequeathed’ means.”
“I think you’re right,” you say, swallowing when everyone’s eyes land on you. “I’ve seen the Celestial Clock, and I was there when Garmadon took the helmet. It rested on a little button, I think, and now knowing what you just told me…that is definitely a possibility.”
“So, the helmet was on a pressure plate or something?” Nya questions. “Well, it’s worth a shot.”
While you listen to their discussion about stopping the Final Battle, part of you starts wondering if this is really the right thing to do. Isn’t it Lloyd’s destiny to stop Garmadon and the Overlord? Why would they inhibit that? You understand that he and Garmadon are related, but Lloyd’s light has the potential to purify. He is destined to win, after all, even if the battle seems to be outmatched.
“But if you succeed in putting it back, then what’s stopping any of the foes from simply taking it again?” you interrupt with a frown. “Even if the helmet does stop the clock, that does not sound like a doable permanent solution. I thought destiny designated Lloyd to vanquish my father from this land, not from delaying the Final Battle.”
“You raise a good point,” Sensei Wu agrees. “And while we are not considering it as a permanent answer, we could use the additional time.”
“Bequeathed, anyone? Is anybody gonna help me out with that?”
“Uh, that sounds great and all, and I know we have our new powers, but you expect us to get past his whole army of Stone Warriors and pluck the helmet off his head?” Kai points out.
“My brother’s right. They’re good, but they’re not that good.”
Misako looks up from her scroll, expression hardening in resolve as she straightens her posture. “I know. And that is why I am going to do it. I'll just need a little help.”
The ninja nod, going to listen to her plan. Lloyd tries to join them, but is stopped when Wu sets a hand on his shoulder.
“I’m sorry, Lloyd. This mission isn’t for you.”
“But I’m all powered up. I can help!”
“We mustn’t let you and your father come face to face yet. We’re trying to prevent the Final Battle, not welcome it.”
“Yes, Sensei,” Lloyd relents, averting his gaze as he sighs.
“I should remain as well,” you note. “My father will be able to sense when I am near.”
“The two of you need to save your strength,” Misako notes, the four ninja behind her as they suit up.
“If you all are planning on disguising yourselves, I would recommend approaching their camp from the southern end. There is a small patrol unit that passes through the area, but there’s plenty of cover available so that you can stage an ambush on them and take their armor,” you advise, folding your arms as you watch them nod.
“Got it. Thanks,” Cole says. “Are we ready, guys?”
“I think so,” Kai replies before shooting a pointed glare at you. You shrink back, fidgeting as you look away. “Don’t let your guard down, Lloyd.”
“Enough, Kai,” Wu states. “You all should get going.”
“Come on, boys,” Misako chides as they begin hiking through the woods, the sounds of their chattering fading when they are far enough.
“Ignore him,” Lloyd advises, turning towards you. “He can be a jerk sometimes.”
“No, it is understandable why he would be wary of me,” you mumble, suddenly wondering if your bloodline would cause many others concern as well. Would that scare people away from you?
“He will come around eventually. They all will,” Wu notes, stroking his beard softly. “Nya, you’ll be helping with the repairs for the Bounty. You two need to reserve your strength. We will notify you when the ninja have retrieved the helmet.”
“I have the Earth Driller on standby,” Nya states. “Although, we may not have enough room for everyone.”
“I can go on foot if needed,” you reply, waving her concerns off. “I know this island well.”
“That makes sense. I feel like you’d know it by the back of your hand by now!” Lloyd states, tone lighthearted. Even so, you’re not entirely sure what the joke is. You frown, making a face as you inspect the back of your hand confusedly.
Wu chuckles softly as he turns towards Dr. Julien, Nya giggling at you as well.
“What is so funny?” you wonder, turning towards Lloyd for help.
“It’s a...uh, an expression,” he notes, seemingly fumbling for words.
“We have expressed many things,” you argue, still lost.
“Well, you know...like, you see the back of your hand so much that you’d probably know it by heart, now, right? Just like how you’ve been here and probably know the ins and outs of this place.”
“Oh! I see! So, you’re comparing my knowledge of this island to how well I know the back of my hand!”
“Exactly,” Lloyd replies.
“I get it!” you cheer.
“And that’s only the beginning of what you’ll learn,” Wu says, offering you a small smile.
“I can’t wait!” you say.
“Anyway, we’ll have the Earth Driller ready for whenever they get the helmet,” Nya states. “So, if you two want to hang out inside, you can tell us when the falcon’s signal comes through on the monitor. We at least have that fixed.”
“Sure thing,” Lloyd replies before grabbing your hand. “Come on!”
“What? Where are we going?”
“I’m going to show you something,” Lloyd adds.
You perk up slightly, curiosity eating away at you as he guides you through the ship. Eventually, the two of you stop at a room you’ve not been in yet. “What is this room?”
“It’s our living room. This is where we relax and take breaks,” he answers, sitting down on the couch. You look around at all the strange objects scattered about the area, wondering what their functions are. “Hey, since we have to lay low until we hear back from the falcon, wanna watch a movie?”
“Really?!”
“Yeah! Though, I’ll have to make us some popcorn and hot chocolate. This is your first movie so we’ve gotta do it right.”
Your mind races with questions, wondering what he’s talking about as you follow him to the kitchen. He opens a cabinet, pulling out an object.
“See this? This is a bag of popcorn. This clear stuff surrounding the bag is just plastic wrap. That’s so the bag is sealed until use.”
You nod, studying him intently as you take in every detail that you can. Lloyd then tears the plastic off, throwing it away. “Now, this is how we make popcorn. You make sure it’s on the right side – you’ll know it’s on the right side because it’s labelled. Then, you just plop it in the microwave for about two, three minutes. Depends on what brand it is.” He places the bag in the microwave. “Wanna push the buttons?”
“Yes, please!” you reply, stepping in front of the blond. “Two minutes?”
“Yep.”
You study the buttons on the machine, finger going to press down on what you hope to be the correct ones. “Like that?”
“Good, now push the one that has the little sideways triangle on it.”
You oblige, grinning when the device lights up and makes the popcorn inside start spinning. “Whoa!”
“That’s not even the best part,” Lloyd adds as he looks down at you. “Listen for a few seconds.”
You fall quiet, expression fading as you hold Lloyd’s expectant gaze, studying his vibrant green eyes. You’re about to ask him what you should be listening for, when suddenly…
Pop!
You gasp, whirling to face the microwave. “It popped!”
“Yeah!”
“Wait…so that’s why it’s called popcorn?!” you ask, watching as the bag starts to inflate as the popping sound intensifies. You can’t help but giggle at the sound. “That’s so funny!”
“Yeah, that’s why,” he says, chuckling. “Hey, while that’s running, I’ll show you how to make hot chocolate.”
“Okay!”
“All we have is powdered hot chocolate. It’ll do in a pinch, but personally, I think my mom’s hot chocolate is the best.”
“How does your mom make it?”
“She uses real chocolate, and sometimes flavoring too – like peppermint or gingerbread. But I don’t think we have any actual chocolate on hand right now. We always keep instant packets stocked, though.”
“I see,” you reply with a nod. Maybe you would be able to try Misako’s hot chocolate too one day!
“So, all we have to do for these is warm up the milk. The milk is in here, the fridge. This just keeps stuff cold.” He pulls something out from the fridge, setting the object on the counter. “By the way, we call these milk gallons. Or jugs. Either works.”
You nod, observing him as you make mental notes of what he’s saying. “Jay made us our own milk warmer. I just measure out the milk in the mugs before I pour it in so I make just enough but don’t waste any.”
“Got it!”
“So after it’s measured, we pour it in, and then...we press this button right here,” Lloyd states, pushing a small button located on the front of the warmer. “And we just wait until it’s done.”
“And then you have hot milk?”
“Yep! And now, I just prepare the mugs by dumping the powder in.”
You peer into the mug, watching as Lloyd dumps all of the powder in. You notice tiny white squares present. “What are those white things?”
“Marshmallows,” he notes. “They’re soft, fluffy, and sweet.”
“Oh...” you mumble. “Interesting.”
Then, a shrill beep startles you, causing you to jump slightly as you glance around.
“Relax, it’s just the microwave,” Lloyd replies. “That means that it’s done.”
“Oh,” you mumble, watching as Lloyd transfers the popcorn from the bag to a big bowl. Then, the milk warming machine beeps.
“Now, we mix this with the powder,” Lloyd says, doing just that.
“It smells fantastic,” you note, spotting the little marshmallows rising to the top. “The popcorn too!”
“I know, right? Nothing beats this combo for a movie. Well, maybe adding other snacks too. But this will do for now.” He picks up the mugs. “I’ll get these if you’ll bring the bowl.”
You nod, carrying the bowl as the two of you head back to the living room. “Hey, Lloyd?”
“What’s up?” he answers as he sets the mugs on the small table in front of the couch.
“Do I…ask too many questions?”
“Of course you don’t,” he replies as he sits down. “There’s no such thing as too many questions in my books anyway.”
“Really?”
“Really. You have a right to learn about the world around you – everyone does. So...we’ll do our best to teach you.”
You grin, sitting down next to him. “Thank you.”
“No problem. Now, since it’s your first movie, you get to pick which one we watch…”
“Oh, stars...” you trail off, feeling somewhat overwhelmed as Lloyd gestures to the massive stack of cases that they have. “How am I supposed to pick?!”
“Which one looks interesting to you?”
You survey the mass of discs, asking about the varying titles before selecting one and sitting back. The popcorn bowl is situated on Lloyd’s left thigh, which is pressed lightly against your right thigh. Lloyd answers all of the questions you ask about the movie’s story and characters too.
While you do, you savor the new treats you’ve been given. The hot chocolate warms you up in a way that you’ve never felt before, chocolate blending together with the fluffy marshmallows to create a brand-new flavor experience. Paired with the contrasting saltiness of the popcorn, the combination only amplifies your thirst to learn more about what else Ninjago has to offer.
While watching the movie and snacking on popcorn and hot cocoa, you realize just how foreign this is to you. Watching moving pictures while snacking on treats with the Green Ninja? You shudder upon realizing what your father would do should you fall into his hands again.
“Hey, what’s wrong?”
You blink, finding that pictures on the screen have frozen as Lloyd turns to you slowly, emerald eyes seeping with concern. “What?”
“You’re crying,” he states. “Why?”
“I...” you brush your cheek with your fingers, feeling the wetness that lingers on them as embarrassment courses through you. You’ve really ruined the moment now, haven’t you? “I’m sorry. It’s nothing. Please, continue.”
“No, you’re upset!” he says. “What is it?”
You stare at Lloyd for a few moments, finding yourself somewhat bewildered. Your father would have punished you for showing this kind of weakness. Yet, here Lloyd is, gently asking you why you’re upset. Being concerned about what could have caused your tears rather than shaming you for allowing them to flow in the first place.
Lloyd says your name softly, taking one of your hands in his. “Hey...if you don’t want to tell me, that’s fine. I mean...after all, we haven’t even known each other that long. But I just want you to know that you can talk to me if you want to. If there’s anything that’s upsetting you, or anything I said...just let me know.”
Father told you that no one would care about your feelings – that ultimately, they are worthless and should not be paid any attention. And yet...here is Lloyd, encouraging you to explain why you’re upset.
In other words, you’ve only been with the ninja for less than two whole days and yet you already feel more comfortable around them.
“I’m sorry, it’s just...” you glance away from him, suddenly finding his stare too intense for you to handle. “It just occurred to me that my father will likely kill me if I’m ever to return.”
“We’re not going to let that happen,” he replies, voice low. “You’re with us now. We’re gonna defeat him.”
“My father cannot be defeated. Not permanently, anyway. Even if you do succeed here, he will find a way to return. He will kill me. He will escape and find a new champion. And he will not rest until Ninjago is his.”
“No. You can’t think like that,” Lloyd states. “We’re going to win. It’s not going to be easy, but we’re going to win. And then, we can show you all kinds of stuff!”
“I hope so,” you mumble.
“Besides,” Lloyd chuckles. “I find it comforting that I’m not the only one who’s going to be fighting their evil dad.”
For some reason, that makes you laugh. Lloyd laughs with you, setting the bowl of popcorn to the side as he takes one of your hands in his.
“But...seriously. We’re gonna get you off of this island, and we’ll show you what life really has to offer.”
“I can’t wait,” you mumble, grinning happily as you take another sip of your hot cocoa. “Thank you, Lloyd.”
“Of course,” he replies, leaning back as he returns the popcorn bucket back to its spot.
Lloyd is right. Your father’s reign of terror will come to an end soon, and he will no longer hold any control over you. Freedom is well within your grasp, even though it’s going to take one last push to gain it.
With that thought in mind, you find yourself relaxing once more, finishing the movie with Lloyd as the two of you wait for the signal.

“Lloyd?!”
You turn at the new voice, watching as a group of four boys jog towards the two of you. Your eyes widen as a sudden wave of shyness overcomes you. Until the past few days, you had never spoken to anyone who wasn’t your father, Garmadon, Kozu, or a Stone Warrior.
“Where the hell have you been?! Who is this?” demands the spiky-haired brunet, pointing an accusatory finger at you.
“Yeah, Lloyd! We go to see if we can locate the Temple of Light and come back to hear that you’ve been gone for like four hours?! And now you’re back here with...a girl?!” yells a redhead.
“Come on, guys, chill out. Let’s hear what he has to say,” encourages a muscular, dark-haired boy.
“Thank you, Cole,” Lloyd says, sighing. “To make a long story short, I was taken while you guys were searching for the Temple. I was paralyzed, then taken to the Overlord. She freed me and helped me escape. Her name is...” he says your name, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. “She’s the Overlord’s daughter but is seeking a means to help defeat him.” You stay silent but don’t miss how he failed to mention the fact that you were the one who kidnapped him.
“What? The Overlord has a daughter now?! Jeez, what’s up with evil warlords having kids?” mumbles the blue ninja - Jay. The last sentence prompts the one dressed in black to slap the former upside the head. “Ow!”
You freeze as they all quiet down and stare at you. Of course, you understand their apprehension. You’re an outsider – one who happened to be an adversary mere hours ago. It makes sense that they don’t trust you around the one person that could vanquish the Overlord.
“Come on, guys,” Lloyd says, stepping in front of you. “She got me out of there. I understand that there’s still basis for us not to trust her, but she deserves a chance to prove herself.”
“Yeah, maybe so...but what if there’s some ulterior motive? What if she just wanted to figure out the location of our base so she can send a bunch of Stone Warriors to obliterate us in our sleep?!” the blue ninja replies.
“To be fair, we have known the location of your base for a while. You all aren’t exactly discreet,” you mumble, folding your arms.
“Okay, this is getting us nowhere,” Lloyd interrupts. “Did you guys find the Temple of Light?”
“We did. It is located atop a mountain across the island.”
“Yeah, but it’s gonna be hard to get up there,” Kai adds. “Let’s hope Nya’s latest invention is done.”
“What are we going to do about her, though? Is she coming with?” Jay asks, gesturing towards you with his thumb.
“From what I’ve seen, you all don’t appear to be capable of hindering the Stone Warriors very well,” you say. “I can help hold them off. By now, they’ve likely noticed Lloyd is no longer a prisoner and that I have betrayed them. They’ll be scouring the island soon if not already.”
“She’s right,” Lloyd adds as you follow the group towards the broken ship. “We can’t hold them off in our current state. Our only hope is to make it to the Temple so we can become powerful enough to fight them off. She’s coming with us.”
“Fine,” Kai grumbles. “But if she makes one wrong move…”
“Kai, we get it,” Lloyd replies, sighing as the sound of foreign footsteps catch the group’s attention. It's then you realize that the elders of the team have come out to see what’s going on.
“My students...what happened?” questions the old man with a long beard. In his grip is a bamboo staff – one you’re sure is older than you.
“Lloyd got kidnapped by the Overlord’s grunts but then she helped him escape and now she’s saying she wants to help us so now we have to take her with us while we go to the Temple of Light-”
Kai groans, pushing Jay aside. “Yeah, pretty much. What do you think, Sensei?”
The old man remains silent, stepping towards you. The ninja split so that they aren’t in his way, all observing their master as he studies you.
“Interesting...there is a longing in your gaze,” notes the old man. “One that tells me you have been trapped here far too long. Is this true, my dear?”
You nod, a lump forming in your throat as you start explaining yourself: “Yes. My father has been lying to me about the land of Ninjago for as long as I can remember. Only today was I able to discover the truth thanks to your brother.”
His bright eyes seem to light up a bit at the mention of his brother. “I see. What does the Overlord want with Lloyd?”
A pang of guilt surges through you as you recall the memory. “He wants Lloyd dead. Had I not interfered, my father would have injected him with a lethal dose of dark matter that would have killed him by the time he made it back to your camp.”
The ninja all tense, all holding wordless conversations as their master nods solemnly. “It is as I feared. The Overlord will not stop at anything to reach his goal.”
You nod in agreement. “If he’s willing to kill Lloyd, then there’s no telling what he’s going to do to the people of Ninjago if he’s not stopped.”
“Then there is no time to waste. Ninja, you are to report to Nya for a briefing. Find the Temple of Light and see what secrets it holds. You are to treat this young lady as if she is one of your own. Am I clear?”
A defeated chorus of “Yes, Sensei” echoes among the group before they jog somewhere else, leaving you with the elders.
“My name is Sensei Wu. This is Misako, Lloyd’s mother, and this is Dr. Julien, Zane’s father. Please forgive my students; they are protective of Lloyd by nature.”
“It’s nice to meet you all,” you say, smiling gratefully. “And it’s quite all right. I would expect nothing less since they are the ones destined to be his protectors.”
“Thank you for saving my son,” the woman says, approaching you and gently taking your hands in hers. Your gaze shifts to her, causing her to smile. Her grey hair is tied into a messy braid, cascading down her back. She must be Garmadon’s wife. “I know the others haven’t said it, but they are grateful that you saved him.”
“Of course,” you respond. “I owe part of it to Garmadon, too. He kept my father and Kozu distracted while I got Lloyd out. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have been able to pull the escape off.”
Her expression shifts to one of heartache, making you pity their broken family. “I’m...glad to hear that. He still has a soft spot for his son after all these years.”
“You should join the others considering they’ll leaving soon,” the doctor pipes in. “We can chat more later. It is good to have you on the team, though.”
“Thank you all for your understanding.”
With that, the four of you begin walking past the ship
They haven’t gone far, as it turns out. The five boys are crowded around a machine, listening to a girl standing in front of it.
“We've also packed another surprise in the back. Perhaps it can be of use?” she asks, taking a moment to press a chaste kiss to Jay’s cheek.
“Another Nya surprise?” he replies, perking up a little bit.
You stand a fair distance away from the group, watching as Misako approaches Lloyd. “You’ll have to go too. Be safe.”
“We will,” Lloyd assures as the boys start climbing into the machine. It seems to be a drill, but...with wheels?
“Whatever you do, do not stop until you get to the Temple of Light. Our survival depends on it,” Wu addresses as they all get settled. You hesitate upon trying to enter the machine, not sure how to go about climbing in. What parts are you supposed to step on…? You hadn't thought to closely watch them enter.
“This time we’ll stick to the plan,” Kai agrees as he sits down. You frown, wondering why they're all sitting in the middle of a giant drill.
You’re snapped out of your thoughts when you see Lloyd offering his hand to you, all of the ninja now masked. You inhale deeply as you take his hand, his touch sparking a wave of warmth within your fingers as he helps pull you in.
“Good luck, ninja.”
“What...is this?” you question, becoming even more puzzled when you see that there are seats built into this machine.
Lloyd keeps a hold on your hand as you glance around confusedly. There’s a wheel attached to the front, across from where Cole’s sitting. In total, seven seats are present, with you and Lloyd in the row preceding the last one.
“It’s a vehicle that Nya and Dr. Julien built,” he answers.
“Veh...icle?” you wonder, hesitantly sitting down when Lloyd gestures you to do so.
“You know...like a car?”
“A car?”
“Uh, yeah...Zane, help me out here?”
“A vehicle: noun – a thing used for transporting people or goods, especially on land, such as a car, truck, or cart,” answers the white ninja.
“Oh, we don’t have anything like that. At least, we didn’t until Garmadon arrived, but I didn’t really see them being built,” you explain, looking up in alarm as the translucent glass above you starts sliding forward, enclosing you within. “The glass moves?!”
“Yep! It helps make sure we stay inside while also protecting us from any potential hazards.”
Suddenly, the vehicle starts rumbling and rolling forward. You gasp, wondering what’s making the noise as you snap your gaze towards the glass. It's moving!
Lloyd chuckles at your reaction. “Relax, that’s just the engine running.”
“What’s an engine?”
“It’s a device that converts gas to motion so that the car can move. If you want, we could show you how it works when we get back home.”
“Really?” you wonder, eyes wide.
“Yeah, of course.”
You can’t help but grin as the vehicle barrels onward, butterflies of excitement fluttering through your chest. Any time you had asked your father how certain things worked he would always refuse to explain anything since you were to focus on nothing but training. The fact that you’ll be able to learn about the world without restriction is something you’re greatly looking forward to.
You’re anxious to ask more questions, but part of you is afraid you’ll come across as annoying. You decide that you’ll ask them later since it seems a brigade of Stone Warriors is now giving chase.
From there, the ride becomes rather bumpy as Cole attempts to lose the warriors.
“You do know how to steer this thing, don’t you?!” Jay yells when the army nearly closes in.
Cole doesn’t respond, seemingly focused on avoiding a pair of vehicles that have blocked the way ahead. You and the others grunt as he jerks the wheel to the right, taking a sharp turn that instantaneously switches the vehicle’s direction. The black ninja proceeds to use a nearby boulder as a ramp, accelerating quickly.
“Woohoo!”
With that, Cole pulls a lever, causing a new whirring sound that comes from the front. The drill starts spinning, allowing for it to dig into the ground.
“Wow!” you say, turning around to look at the path the vehicle left. Sunlight has since faded from the makeshift tunnel. Would Kozu even be able to follow? How are you all able to build such a wondrous device?”
“Well, Nya’s amazing at building stuff! Paired with Dr. Julien’s knowledge, I bet there’s nothing they couldn’t make!” Jay answers.
“Jay and Zane are both pretty handy with machines too,” Cole chimes in, eyes focused on the path ahead.
“What else have you built?”
“We make lots of mechs, vehicles, robots, all kinds of stuff. Just depends on what we might need or what we’re inspired to make.”
You nod in response, realizing that Cole has shifted direction once more. Soon enough, the vehicle starts barreling upwards, eventually breaching the surface.
The sudden burst of sunlight makes you squint as you glance upwards, seeing that your group is stationed at the foot of a mountain.
“Well, that’s about as far as this baby will go. We’ll have to do the rest on our own.”
“But we’ll never make it up the mountain before they arrive!” Lloyd interjects as a beep sounds. The glass windows slide open, allowing for the boys to hop out. You stand there, wondering how you should go about getting out.
You can’t see his expression due to his mask, but Lloyd seems to be smiling as he offers his hand to you. Thanking him quietly, you take his hand as you gingerly step out.
“Well then, let’s see what my sister packed!”
You linger towards the back of the group as Kai walks to the back of the vehicle, pressing a button on a strange box that appears to be attached to the metal. It beeps, suddenly leaping off of the vehicle. It whirs and beeps, expanding into…
“What is that?” you wonder, studying the device. It’s like a mechanical statue!
“Oh, I love my sis!” cries the red ninja as he leaps onto it.
“It’s a mech. Basically a giant robot that we can control,” Lloyd answers.
“I see,” you wonder, the sound of whirring catching your attention. You turn towards the source, spotting a bunch of Stone Warrior vehicles approaching.
You frown, taking a few steps forward as you glare in their direction. They shrink back, but slow down. You spot General Kozu approaching on a machine as well.
“Mistress? What are you doing?” the grunts ask in their tongue. Hm, the Overlord must not have told them of your betrayal before sending them out. That, or they were simply on patrol while the whole ordeal occurred.
“Leave us,” you warn, not backing down this time.
“She has betrayed her own blood,” Kozu explains, glaring daggers into you. You push aside your emotions in order to return his stare just as pointedly.
“He is no longer my father.”
“It is a shame that all of these years have led to your treachery. You will never understand what has been lost as a result of your deception. Now, it will lead to your undoing. Attack!”
You remain still as they advance, focusing your magic energy into your fingertips. A smirk crosses your lips as they hesitate, stopping in their tracks for a moment.
It seems as if Kozu is the only one who recognizes your spell, because his cries for his men to fall back are cut off by your quiet chants.
Moments after, rings of dark magic encircle themselves around their limbs, immediately tightening. The runes embedded in the spell start glowing a pretty shade of lavender as the spell’s effects enact.
With that, the Stone Warriors crumble to their knees, crying out in pain. Kozu does so as well, but only grunts as he manages to glare at you.
“There, that will hold them for a few minutes,” you say, turning back towards the ninja.
“What? How did you do that?!” Kai wonders as they stare at the fallen Stone Warriors.
“It’s a spell that grants its victims a sense of pain, no matter their biological status. Part of the reason why they’re indestructible is because they can’t feel pain. For them, even a little bit of pain would feel excruciating, as you can see.”
“Um…well allow me to be the first to say that I really hope you intend on staying on our side!” Jay chimes in with a nervous chuckle. The others nod in agreement.
“I intend to. Anyways, we should start heading up.”
“Yeah, let’s go! Climb on!”
The four ninja leap onto the mech, with Lloyd climbing on top. Once more, he offers his hand to you.
You take it, tightening your grip as he pulls you on top of the mech. With his right hand securely holding onto the golden part of the mech, he uses his other one to hold you against his side. You cringe at the thought of having to scale the mountain with such an unsound grip, but it’ll have to do.
As Kai dashes towards the mountain, you immediately circle your arms around Lloyd’s neck, feeling wobbly. His grip around your waist tightens as the mech leaps onto the side of the mountain.
“I won’t let you fall,” he assures. You nod in response, glancing down at the Stone Warriors giving chase.
“Oh, they’re still coming!” Jay yells.
“One of these days we’re gonna have to fight!” Cole complains from the side of the mech.
“We’re not climbing fast enough!”
Kai makes the mech jump from point to point, which is a tad bit faster. Even so, a Stone Warrior manages to leap onto the leg of the mech, eliciting a bunch of beeps from the mechanism. Kai has to stop in order to shake him off. The beeping stops, allowing the mech to continue.
“Activate hook!” Kai yells, aiming the mech’s left arm upward. Sure enough, a hook shoots out of the palm, attaching to the top of the mountain. The mech is then pulled up by the rope, letting Kai climb onto the top.
With that, the five of you jump off. Your knees are a bit unsteady, but the adrenaline coursing through you makes it all worth it.
“We made it to the top!” Jay cheers as your group looks around. “But where’s the Temple of Light?!”
“Are you sure you used the medallion right?” Lloyd asks.
“Oh, of course I used it right! It said it should be right here!”
“Well, until we find it, I’ve got to find a way to slow them down,” Kai adds as the mech turns back around to face the cliff. Thankfully, he shoots down a few boulders, knocking the Stone Warriors out of sight.
“That should buy us a little time.”
From there, everyone begins scaling the mountain. You remain towards the back, but make sure to keep up. Suddenly, you’re grateful you spent so much of your time training for physically demanding challenges.
After a minute or so, you hear Lloyd gasping. “The Temple of Light!”
Once you pull yourself to the top, you pause for a moment in order to catch your breath and admire the Temple. Clearly erected in ancient times, it looks great for how old it must be.
You elect to only watch as the ninja enter. For some reason, this feels like something they should do by themselves. You hang out by the mech, staring at the summit below.
“Hey.”
You turn, seeing Cole poking his head out of the door. “Huh?”
“Aren’t you coming inside?”
“I feel like I’m intruding,” you admit. “I can just keep watch.”
“You’re not. Sensei said to treat you like you’re one of us, and I trust his judgement, so that’s what I’m gonna do. Come on in.”
You fidget with your hands for a moment, watching as he beckons you inside. You thank him, offering an appreciative smile towards the dark-haired boy.
The temple’s doors close behind you, leaving you and Cole to catch up with the rest of the group. You can’t help but wonder who built this place. There are four pillars and a large bell located in the center of the room. What purpose do those serve?
“Guys, check this out!” Jay says, gesturing towards what appears to be a large mural depicting several events. “It’s us!”
“Impossible… It’s everything we’ve ever done!” Kai notes as they pad over to the first painting.
“Finding the Bounty, facing the Devourer…even right now!” Cole adds as he points to the a specific painting.
He’s right – it contains a depiction of the ninja. But not just the ninja…
“Even her?” Kai wonders. You can’t help but feel a bit giddy when you see your figure painted onto the mural too. It looks like you made the right decision after all!
“That settles it,” Lloyd replies as he glances at you. “It’s destiny.”
“How could it all be here?” Zane wonders.
“Like I said: destiny,” Lloyd answers. “I think I know what we need to do.”
He walks out towards the center of the room, underneath the large bell. You observe in silence as he kneels down, wiping the dust off from the floor. “Look!”
Sure enough, his symbol is there. The ninja spread out, all bending down to swipe the dust off of certain sections of the floor, revealing their respective symbols scattered around Lloyd’s.
“Wait, there’s something else here,” Zane says as he glances around. “Our elements comprise the circle surrounding Lloyd’s symbol. But…there is an outlying symbol here.”
The ninja of ice takes a moment to kick the dust off of the unknown shape. Sure enough, a new symbol lies there – this one featuring a rune surrounded by a dark purple.
“That must be yours,” Zane says, glancing up to you.
“Mine? No, that can’t be right…”
“You were in the mural. That means the First Spinjitzu Master knew you would be here too,” Lloyd points out.
“That means it has to be yours,” Zane adds as he walks back over to his symbol. “Stand on it and see what happens.”
You nod, swallowing nervously as you step within your symbol. From here, you’re outside of the ninja’s circle but straight across from Lloyd.
“Okay, now what?” Lloyd wonders as everyone looks around for some type of clue. When no one finds anything, you spot Lloyd shaking his head as he glances up at the bell above him. “Wait…the bell! It’s an instrument! You guys ready for this?!”
“Bring it!” Cole encourages as the ninja straighten their posture.
Lloyd releases a cry, running towards the pillar behind Cole. He uses his momentum to kick off of it, giving him the height he needs to strike the bell.
As his foot connects with the metal of the bell, a sharp ringing enters your ears. It pierces through your head, eliciting a headache as the force of its rumbling starts shaking the entire Temple.
The ringing gradually fades into a low reverberation, a golden beam of light shining down on Lloyd as he stands up.
“Whoa! What’s happening?!”
“No one move!” Zane directs.
You shift your gaze back to Lloyd, watching as he relaxes and tilts his head up with closed eyes. As the golden glow brightens, a white beam shoots down from the bell, seemingly being redirected to a crystal implanted in the wall via Lloyd. From there, the light bounces from crystal to crystal until it strikes Kai’s pillar.
That same white light surrounds Kai, changing his gi into a new one. A golden object is summoned into his hand.
The process happens for the other three ninja as well, when finally the beam of light is shot into the floor around Lloyd. The outline of his circle turns to a pastel purple color, the light rushing towards the perimeter of your symbol.
Your heart rate increases as foreign magic seeps within your skin, tangling itself with the magic you had learned to wield so well. No longer did the darkness feel forced; Lloyd’s energy intertwines with your magic to grant a lighter sense. It lightens the burden that had been placed upon you against your will. No longer does the dark nature of your magic feel evil; you are now embracing it. One with your element – that of darkness itself. It is the natural balance to Lloyd’s magic, and should not be treated with fear.
It is the natural way. Shadow must accompany the light wherever it may follow, and that does not have to be a bad thing. You are now the exception, and hope to lead others in your example.
No longer connected with your physical self, you sift your way through the energy in an attempt to find a tangible connection with your body. It comes shortly after as the sensation subsides, leaving you breathless as you find yourself gripping a silver object akin to what the ninja are holding.
Wind rips throughout the Temple as the light encompasses Lloyd once more, this time making him levitate. You watch along with the other ninja in stupor as he begins spinning midair.
Suddenly, elemental-themed blades shoot out of the golden objects the ninja had been holding. Yours doesn’t come out though, much to your surprise.
“Guys, send him your powers!” Kai yells over all of the commotion. The others nod, aiming their blades towards Lloyd and summoning blasts of elemental energy towards him.
Lloyd absorbs it, a low hum resounding throughout the Temple as a bubble of green energy surrounds him before exploding into a golden dragon. You stand there in awe, admiring the sheer power radiating from him.
“Lloyd!” Kai yells as the green ninja falls to the ground. It's then that the blade erupts from its silver handle.
You want to go check on him, but are stopped when you hear the shouting of Stone Warriors coming from outside.
“Let ‘em have it!” Lloyd yells as all of you get into fight stances.
You smirk, taking a moment to test out your new weapon. It’s light and versatile, and the darkness of the blade seems to bend to your will in a way.
“Now we get to fight!” Cole yells as Kai dashes towards a group of Stone Warriors, blocking one of their swords. The warrior seems shocked when the sword fails to shatter upon impact.
“Cool!” remarks Kai as runs around the group while dragging his sword on the ground. It creates a wall of fire around the group that can’t be escaped.
“Woohoo!”
You see that a group of warriors are heading your way too. The other ninja begin battling the Stone Warriors as you back away, wondering how your new blade works.
With a mighty war cry, a Stone Warrior rushes towards you, lifting the sword in preparation for a swing. After promptly blocking it, your eyes widen when you see that darkness from your blade is actually eating through the metal, causing it to shatter moments later.
“Ooh…” you mumble, chuckling as you enter a swordfight with a few other warriors. Their blades are no match for the corruption oozing from your weapon, shattering each and every one of their swords and shields.
They back away upon realizing they no longer have any items to protect them from the destructive nature of your weapon.
“What’s the matter? Going to run back to Kozu now that you know you’re done for?” you mock in their language, a new sense of confidence swelling within you.
They back away, but only to be frozen by Zane’s ice. A dark chuckle escapes you as you swing the elemental blade down, making the mound of ice dissolve within seconds.
“Not so indestructible now!” you say.
“Indeed! Let’s catch up with the others.”
You follow Zane towards the center of the room, where the others are currently gathered. They’re behind Lloyd, who’s summoning a ball of green energy that gradually turns golden. It’s almost mesmerizing, in a way – how the light of his element gently embraces the world around it.
Soon enough, the same golden dragon appears, this time flying towards the Stone Warriors.
“RETREAT!” Kozu yells as the Stone Warriors run away.
“We did it!” Jay yells once they’re gone. “We actually won this time!”
“Hell yes! We sure gave them a taste of their own medicine!”
“And it feels damn good not to run away for once!”
“Not to mention that we finally have a means to interact with our elements,” Zane adds.
You can’t help but tear up as you watch the group, a smile on your face as you realize that you finally have a chance to leave this cursed island so you can make a name for yourself. You wipe your eyes with the sleeve of your new gi.
Speaking of which, it’s exactly like the ninjas’, but with purple accents. It’s comfortable yet also seems ideal for combat. You release a shaky breath, sheathing your elemental blade in the holster located on your back.
It’s time for a new life!

Hi all! I had a lot of people ask about this, so I'm just doing a quick reblog with the link to Part 2 for this considering how long it's been. The second part is now up, and you can find it here! It is the smut portion of this, so only for people comfortable with NSFW content!!
I was really not expecting the amount of support I got on this. Thanks for the support, and I hope you enjoy the second part!
Ninjago x Reader requests are still open! I will pick the most inspiring ones!!
Hii! Yeah, can I request a funny and smutty one shot? Where like, um, Sensai Garmadon walks in on Lloyd and the reader when things start heating up? Like he smirks or just plain teases them? He keeps cockblocking them? Like on purpose, like it's fun for him to see Lloyd so flustered. You don't have too, if you're not comfortable writing this, it's a request after all!
Hello! Sounds like a funny idea!
So, I actually have another request that is on a very similar premise to this one, so what I’m gonna do is use this request as Part 1 and the second as Part 2, since that order makes sense to me :) I hope you enjoy!
Pairing: Lloyd x Reader
Warnings: suggestive content, almost lemon but not quite.
…
Today is a rare day.
The ninja are out, the Senseis are meditating with Misako, and Lloyd got today off for once. That means the two of you are damn well going to take advantage of today.
“Looks like the monastery’s gonna be pretty empty today,” Lloyd says as he approaches you from behind, snaking his arms around your waist.
You giggle, leaning into his touch. “Yep! What are we going to do?”
Lloyd chuckles, pressing a heated kiss against your neck as his tone drops. “I have a few ideas.”
“Like what?” you hum as he kisses your lips, moving his hands to your hips. He chuckles, pulling away as he grabs your hand, guiding you to his room. You giggle as you follow him, heart beginning to race as you enter his room.
Lloyd smirks as he closes his door, immediately pushing you against it. You moan softly as he presses kisses along your jawline. Eventually he makes his way down to your neck, where he licks your skin a few times before sucking softly. You feel his hands sliding along your hips, then down to your thighs. His lips detach from your skin as he lifts you up by your thighs, causing you to cling to him as he carries you over to his bed.
Lloyd smiles as he gently lowers you onto the mattress, immediately straddling you. You move your hands up to his cheeks, bringing him in for a kiss.
He separates from you, going to remove his shirt, much to your pleasure. You sit up so that he can pull yours off as well.
“So pretty,” Lloyd mumbles as he pushes you back down, admiring your bra for a moment before he goes to kiss the exposed skin of your breasts.
You feel his fingers wandering down to your hips. He’s about to prompt you to finish undressing when a knock sounds from the door.
Lloyd groans, pausing. Dammit!
“Hold on!” he calls, standing up before snatching up both of your shirts. He tosses yours towards you, so you quickly throw it back on.
“Yeah?” Lloyd questions as he opens the door. You sigh, not happy about being so rudely interrupted.
“Hello,” Garmadon greets. You stay silent as you watch their interaction.
“Hey. Something up?”
“Not particularly. I just was wondering if you knew where the team was off to?”
“Uh, some kind of mission, I think. I dunno the details. It’s my day off, though!”
“I know, son, I was just curious,” Garmadon replies as his eyes study his room until they find you. You tense slightly as your Sensei comes to a realization. “Oh…”
“Dad!”
Garmadon chuckles lightly. “I’m going, I’m going.”
Lloyd sighs as his father walks away, shutting the door once he’s out of sight. “Sorry about that.”
“It’s okay,” you reply, smiling softly as he comes to sit next to you.
“Are you still in the mood?” he questions.
You giggle, pressing another kiss to his lips. “I am if you are.”
He chuckles, kissing back as you lay down again, wrapping your arms around his neck. You stare deeply into his emerald eyes as he straddles you again. A soft moan escapes you as he grinds against you slightly, his lips coming down to suck and bite your collarbone.
You feel him tugging at the hem of your shirt after a few minutes of making out, so you sit up again in order to let him take it off. Just as he’s about to pull it over your head, though, another knock emanates from the door.
Lloyd pauses for a moment, lowering his hand to rest on your waist as he sighs. You giggle, pressing an encouraging kiss to his forehead before he stands once more.
You sit up again, watching as he answers the door once more.
“Yes?” Lloyd asks, not bothering to hide his irritation.
Garmadon seems to be holding back a grin. “I forgot. My shirt.”
“What shirt?!”
“That one over there,” Garmadon replies with a sly grin as he points somewhere across the room.
“Why is your shirt even in here?”
“The laundry got mixed up.”
“Then how did you forget it…?” Lloyd mumbles as grabs the accursed shirt from his dresser before handing it to his dad.
“Thank you.”
“Yeah.” Lloyd closes the door after that, frowning.
You giggle at his expression. “We can just watch a movie or something.”
“But…but…” he whines, scrunching his face up adorably. I wanna fuck…”
A laugh escapes you as you lay down. “I do too, but it looks like your dad is in a very cockblocky mood today. Maybe later tonight?”
You kiss your whiney boyfriend, electing to just cuddle for the time being.
