It is not unusual for you to sometimes lose your appetite on the 1:1 Diet. This is because the low daily calorie count may put you into a mild state of ketosis. You may find your appetite will come and go as you progress through the beginning of your 1:1 Diet journey. Initially, you may experience a dramatic increase in appetite. Your body is using up the last of its glucose and glycogen, and is running on empty. The body sends hunger signals to the brain, asking to eat more food to replenish the dwindling glycogen stores. Once you've depleted your glycogen stores, your body has to turn to ketone bodies for energy. Our bodies are always making small amounts of ketones. However, in a state of ketosis your body will produce an increased number of ketones from fat. This fat either comes from your food or (luckily for us!) from body fat. After the first few days, your hunger levels may actually reverse, leaving you feeling less hungry than ever before. Some people, may even struggle to eat their third meal! However, even though you may not be feeling hungry, it is vitally important that you still have your 3 1:1 Diet meals per day. Our products provide all your essential daily nutrients to keep your body well nourished. Posted @withregram • @one2one_diet_heidi My day on step 3 So this morning I had bran flakes for breakfast with skimmed milk and two small nectarines. For lunch I had a 1:1 vegetable soup 😋 For my dinner I made a biryani with a packet mix, chicken, tinned tomatoes and instead of peas I added spinach. I know it’s healthier to cook with natural spices but it was a nice treat and better than ordering a take away 😂 I now still have my 1:1 chocolate bites for later. I have really noticed a change in the way I am thinking about my food options. I am looking at calories and I now see a small portion of brown rice a treat! I say small, it’s probably not small to some people but our portions were HUGE before we got back on The 1:1 Diet. Posted @withregram • @one2one_diet_heidi I’ve only gone and hit my 3 stone loss!! 👏 To be honest the scales are no longer important as I am focusing on my clothes but it was nice to see the 9 stone😊. It’s taken me 14 weeks so just over 3 months. I was originally aiming for 8 and half stone however my clothes fit nicely now so I’m not too fussed.
