5. The tickle duos in Kep1er in Loona who would annoy the hell out of you for tickles. I imagine Chaehyun gets woken up because Dayeon can't sleep so they end up tickling you. For Jinsoul and Yves it would be them accidentally pulling an all nighter and tickling you but it results in them sleeping in your bed until morning (or afternoon)

you would usually be in front of the pc whenever she came home (or at least, more often than not), and after putting her bag and the rest of her things aside, she would hug you from behind and kiss your ear and neck gently, attempting to get some sort of reaction out of you. you would always pause whatever game you were playing to kiss her back and give her some 'welcome back' affection. other than that, i think she would find you really cute (and highkey hot) while gaming, so she would admire you from the side and simply be in your company and chat while she was on the bed with her phone. also being on your lap would make her really happy, especially receiving kisses from you whenever something good happened in your game. i personally don't see her joining you willingly, unless you specifically asked her, and she would comply for the sake of being in your company and watching you cutely giggle at her being a mess at videogames.

she would love it oh so much, she would be the one to ask you to teach her some games, and with your aid she'd get pretty good at it very quickly. i also think she'd have the beginner's luck and even beat you literally at the first try. literally how. and she's be so cocky about it too. it's not even that she would get competitive, but she'd be so naturally good at it that it would make you competitive, playing one match after the other, while being laughed at and made fun of by your girlfriend. if for some reason you were also a streamer, she would beg you to be in one of your videos, playing against each another, and if she won, she would be so annoying like "you saw it here everyone, ditch y/n and come to me, im creating a channel right now-" before you kicked her out of the room.

please she'd be so precious, she would focus way more on the characters' designs and the visual aspect of the games you were playing, rather than the game itself. if you ever asked her to play with you, first of all she would be so ecstatic that you wanted her to be part of your passion, but she would be one of those people to chose a specific character just because it "looks cute". however, i think she'd be so adorably clumsy that even losing on purpose against her wouldn't work, she'd manage to kill her character and lose anyway. she'd get pretty upset about it, and you couldn't help but give her a big kiss of encouragement every time she lost, and teach her again and again tips and tricks to succeed. please she would also ask continuously "what does this button do again?" "wait how do i jump?"

yeojin

i definitely think yeojin would genuinely enjoy video games, she would probably start playing more often because of you, but she liked gaming occasionally even before she met you. that being said, she would text you or talk to you about new games being launched that she was interested in, and suggesting you played together, or ask you to recommend some games to her, since you had more experience and better knowledge than her anyway. she would play for the sake of winning, and she'd get so competitive, sometimes even getting upset at you if you kept on winning and winning. needless to say you'd cover her in kisses and beg her to keep playing with you, since from time to time she'd have to walk away to cool off before getting back to play against her super cool gamer gf. also, "gamer gf" would be how she saved you on her phone, lmao. anyway, at least you'd definitely train her to be better than her members.

vivi doesn't know a lot about video games, that much i can tell you. if you left her by herself in front of a pc or a console, she wouldn't know where to start, and i don’t think she would get interested by herself, but seeing just how much you were into games, she would want to understand the appeal and teach you to ask her a thing or two. she’s a quick learner i think, so she’d learn the basics pretty rapidly, and she would occasionally join you mainly to be in your company, but overall it wouldn't really be something made for her. regardless, she'd keep you so much company, sitting by your side, bringing you snacks and reminding you to take breaks in between gaming sessions.

kim lip

she'd pretend to not be interested and whenever you asked her to join you, she'd refuse and say she had other things to take care of. however, from time to time she would sit by you and admire your skilled fingers moving so fast on the controller and your eyes shifting on the screen, your focused expression with your lips slightly parted making her chuckle to herself, glad you couldn't hear her thanks to your headphones. she would also take so many super zoomed in pictures of your concentrated expression and use them as memes. she would indeed think you were super cute and funny playing, but also very attractive, when you removed your headset and brushed your hand through your hair right after you had completed a level, for example (ops).

jinsoul

oh she would love it. not games in particular, but her pretty girlfriend playing them. she would definitely find some time to sit with you, preferably on your lap, and watch you play and play and play and play... she would probably get bored after a while and suggest you instead taught her how to play so that she could join you. would definitely choose which game to play based on the overall aesthetic of it, and also choose the character on the same kind of premises, "she looks cute, i wanna be her". she would start off as wanting to play just to stay with you and listen to you talk about things she didn't understand at all, but eventually she would get so into it and put so much effort to defeat you. if she did ever actually beat you, you’d never hear the end of it. her ego would be so fueled she would ask you to play with her more and more, until you had to ask her to stop because it was getting too late.

you would have to play in secret and hope she wouldn't find out you were playing without her, because she'd constantly try to either get on your lap or play with you. she would start off as a total newbie and eventually being really good at it and actually give you great advices in case you couldn't finish a level. you would be so surprised the first time she told you "let me do it" when she saw you struggling on the same spot over and over again, taking your place on the gaming chair, while you stood behind her, and your jaw literally dropped when she completed the level first try, flashing you that bright smile of hers. "there you go!". little did you know she had been practicing in secret just to surprise you, so she could play with you and be actually good at it. so yeah she would genuinely enjoy gaming thanks to you.

yves

she wouldn't be super interested in gaming itself, but rather interested in watching you do it, either having you on her lap or vice versa, or even her laying in bed while listening to your cheers of victory or groans of defeat. would definitely be concerned about your well being and constantly remind you to rest your eyes every now and then, but she would definitely smile to herself at the sight of her girlfriend enjoying herself and being happy doing what she liked, so she would mostly let you do your thing while watching from the side. if she felt really lonely, and noticed you didn't have any intention of stopping anytime soon, she would waddle and sit next to you, wondering if she could join you, maybe suggesting some more chill and easier games. but don't get used to it, because it wouldn't be an every day thing.

she wouldn’t care if she didn’t know how to play or that you would beat her every time you two actually played together, she only cared about spending quality time with you, even by simply watching you game at your desk and cheering you on from the bed out loud. sometimes you would lose because of her yelling “oh do that! dodge that!!” so loudly in your ear that you’d get distracted, simply laughing about it and threatening her that you would tickle her to death if she kept it up. chuu would be very much supportive of your passion, offering herself to receive some coaching sessions from you in order to get better at it. your “training” would most likely end up with her sulking about not being able to beat even the easier levels and you showering her with kisses to reassure her.

she’d want to sit on your lap whenever you were in front of your pc, for the mere reason of wanting to receive your kisses of victory whenever you succeeded in whatever game you were playing. she would ɡet so ɡiɡɡly every time you hugged her tighter and she couldn’t stay still on your lap because of her excitement. she would mostly stay in silence while watching you, but commenting from time to time on the graphic of the games “that looks pretty” etc, or even be impressed by your skills, “how did you do that?!”. she would learn a lot just by observing you and the way your fingers quickly pressed the keys or moved on the controller. she’d be so amazed, despite not really being into video games. eventually she’d shyly suggest you two played together and you couldn’t be happier that she wanted to take part in what you were passionate about. such a supportive gf.

damn she would love it. enjoying playing video games herself, she would love to have someone to share this passion with, and who better than her girlfriend. would it be boring to say that majority of your dates would be the two of you in front of a screen, occasionally cursing at the game and each other, making bets such as “okay if i win you have to do whatever i say for like a month” and so on? she would complain so much, accusing you of cheating whenever you won absolutely she did not lose because you had more than 7 years of experience and knowledge, yeah. regardless, she would keep asking you to play with her, she adored so much the fact that she had someone to actually play with instead of the members who preferred to just watch her. she’d often pretend to be upset at the fact that you were better than her, but she secretly admired you so much. so proud of her girlfriend.

Sleepy’s Favorite K-Pop Songs of 2020

1. Any Song - Zico -- this song is not particularly special, but the main vibe, “play any song that makes you happy” is exactly how my musical tastes were in 2020, for the regular reasons we all faced AND for some extra, personal reasons that made me search out happier or deceptively happy songs, or songs that lay next to me instead of crawling under my skin. I usually love when a song sings my soul back to me, but there were many moments last year that I just couldn’t handle that, or couldn’t handle it the same way I usually would. Spotify says that Any Song was played the most of, well, any song, and I know why.

2. Midnight Train - Se So Neon -- this is a song that lay beside me, from the first time I heard it and every time after. It actually doesn’t have a ton of lyrics, but the ones it has are vibrating with intention and casual pain. There is ice on the tip of your tongue but it mellows as the guitar takes you out with the tide. Sometimes the melody is clashing so hard against your teeth you’re worried it’ll just swallow you whole, but instead it falls like a heavy rain, washing everything clean. Please, please listen to this song.

3. Scream - Dreamcatcher -- they have never released a bad song, and I actually love their entire discography. It’s one of the few that I do listen to just by itself, no other artists. Dreamcatcher have never been afraid to be brash and in your face, nor do they shy away from saying how it is. There is an open wound inside this song, and your heartbeat is so loud in your ears. The lyrics are intense, the instrumentals are intense, the performances in the vocals are fire and wine and steel. I love it.

4. Can’t You See Me? - TXT -- I really loved Run Away in 2019, which for a debut year was jam packed with content. TXT has this wonderful take on youth and maturity and being real about your emotions. Their voices are soft and sweet, even while this song is talking about the disparity between reality and dreams, truth and lies. Every part of the song captures my attention, I don’t think it has any weak points, and I always picture the MV. Strawberries will never be the same. This song did sing my soul to me a little, but even though the sound was visceral it never cut through bone. It was gentle and kind, and held my hand.

5. Close - Han (Stray Kids) -- I did not expect that this little song would end up meaning so much to me, but it did. Stray Kids had an amazing year as always, but I guess my love for Han’s singing and his lyricism just got me. Han has a way of just pulling back all the weeds surrounding my feelings, but not tugging them straight out. He’s patient with the dandelions and doesn’t insist on clarity right away. This song got closer and closer to me the more I listened to it, until it was stuck in my head and I was never mad about it. There are blue skies and sunshine and someone is waiting for me, ready to smile when I turn around.

6. Back Door - Stray Kids -- the production behind SKZ’s music does continually get better, but I think the more appropriate term is “expands.” Their sound remains largely the same, while each new release tries something new, echoes the old, and continues to push the same message they’ve had since the beginning: inclusivity. Stray Kids is here for you, to welcome you into the club and to have a good time with you while we talk about the struggles we’re all facing. I haven’t yet gotten sick of this song, it goes by in a flash and for once, I don’t have a favorite part, or a section that gets stuck in my head more than others. It’s the whole package for me.

7. Kick It - NCT 127 -- NCT makes a lot of very clean, very specific sounding sounds that I don’t really care for. I have a few favorites, and actually really love the whole of the debut album, but I don’t go out of my way to listen to their music. Kick It, though, was just so much fun, it had sharp edges and and a smooth underbelly. Haechan sounds the best, I love his voice SO MUCH, but everyone sounds good. I like the unison parts, the repeat mantras, the bombastic way the lyrics aren’t really saying a lot but are so enthusiastic that you don’t care.

8. eight - IU, SUGA -- IU just continues to evolve and make music that is really, really good. None of her songs are overly complex or visionary, but they are friendly and relevant, and sit outside your door with brownies and lemonade. IU’s voice can do soft, can do poignant, can do intense, depending on her mood. She is a singer of extraordinary caliber and I love seeing everything she does next. eight was a simple but beautiful song that plays into your nostalgia without sugar-coating everything, and at the same time there’s such a lightness too it. It’s a short song and SUGA’s rap was such an unexpected addition that actually worked really well. 

9. So What - LOONA -- this is a song deserving of a much higher spot, but I think I just wasn’t quite as ready for LOONA’s next evolution as others’. Still, this song is so good, with potentially the best bridge of the entire year. Everyone sounds so good, the song hypes you up and never lets you down. Even though the concept is one we’ve seen before, LOONA never makes anything sound the same. There is no compromise, there is only awesomeness.

10. ON - BTS -- I went around in circles contemplating how much I did or didn’t like this song. BTS is going places with their music that I don’t love as much as their stuff from, say 2016-18, but they are still incredible artists and performers. And ignoring all the rest, all the talk, just focusing on the song itself, it’s really good. It’s really, really good and the kind of song that I unapologetically sing really loudly in the car. There are quieter parts that acknowledge how exhausting it is to keep moving forward when you’re in pain, strong, jagged tantrums that demand that the pain try harder to keep you down, spaces to breath and places to run. This is a song that says we’re going through a battle and it’s hard, but we can see that there is an end, there is hope, and nothing will keep us down. Even through pain and tears, we can go on.

A/N: LOONA GOT THEIR FIRST WIN!! I’m seriously so proud of them, and when I saw Haseul’s post and heard Yves saying that they got the award because of Haseul, I cried some very real tears. I’m so happy to have some good news! I hope you all enjoy this little scenario!

Okay, so maybe your idea was a little bit crazy. You realized this as you looked around Haseul’s bedroom at all one hundred and one flowers you’d bought for her, arranged in groups around her room. There were also rose petals on the floor in a bath to her bed, where a large bouquet lay beside a cute teddy bear and surrounded by petals in the shape of a heart. You’d even spelled out her name in the rose petals. Yeah, this was a little crazy.

But this was a very special occasion, after all. Not only was it the day after the anniversary of Loona 1/3′s debut and your own anniversary with Haseul, but Loona had also just won their first music show win the day before. You’d held your girlfriend as she cried tears of joy and wished that she could have joined them on stage, and you’d listened to her call them, telling them that they all did so well, and that she loved them. You’d never been more happy, surging with pride for your girlfriend and her members, and, even though you already knew that you were going to do something for your anniversary, you decided to step it up a notch.

So you conspired with Haseul’s parents to get her out of the house for the hour it took you to set everything up. And now you stood in her bedroom, surrounded by flowers and checking your phone to see when she’d be home.

-Headed back now, we’ll tell her that we have to go to the store and drop her off so the two of you can be alone. Good luck!

You smiled widely at her mom’s text. She really had the best parents and you appreciated them helping you with your surprise. They wanted Haseul to be happy just as much as you did.

-Thank you so much! Your own flowers are on the kitchen table!

-Awe, thank you!

Taking a deep breath, you did one last walk around the room to make sure that everything was perfect before you walked out to the door and waited. Your heart began to pound inside your chest and you laughed at yourself. It was like you were confessing to her all over again, and you told yourself to get it together.

Footsteps approached the door, and you held your breath until the door swung open to reveal your tiny girlfriend in the doorway. Her eyebrows raised in surprise and she let out a little squeak before laughing and putting her heart on her chest.

“(Y/N), you scared me! What are you doing here?”

You smiled, walking over to her and handing her a single rose. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. But I have a surprise for you.”

“Really?” Her eyes widened and her cheeks flushed happily as she took the rose and ran her fingers through her hair. “What kind of surprise?”

“Just follow me.” You held out your arm and she took it, allowing you to guide her back to her bedroom. As soon as the two of you stepped inside, she let out a little gasp and brought up her hand to cover her mouth. You stopped, grinning proudly and watching as she looked around the room. Slowly, she took a few steps inside, one hand going up to her chest again as she shook her head in disbelief.

“Baby,” she whispered, walking up to the bed and picking up the teddy bear. When she saw that it had both of your names on its tummy, she let out a little whimper and pout as she turned back to you. “Oh my god, I love it!” Her eyes were welling up and you let out a little laugh, immediately stepping over to take her into your arms.

“Oh no, don’t cry!”

“But it’s so touching! You did all of this for me? How long did it take you?”

“Almost two hours,” you admitted, “I had to keep texting your mom that I needed more time.”

“She was in on it?” Haseul let out a watery laugh as she buried her face in your shoulder. “I knew it was weird. You two....” She sniffed and held you tight. “Thank you.”

“Of course,” you said softly, running your fingers through her hair. It was getting a bit longer now, and your heart swelled with affection and happiness as you pressed a kiss to her head. “Happy anniversary, babe, and congratulations on your first win.”

“Thank you.” After a moment longer, she pulled away and looked around the room again, holding the teddy bear to her chest and wiping at her face. “Wow, how many roses is this?”

“One hundred and one. Plus a few boxes of rose petals.”

“That’s so many?” She turned her sharp eyes to you. “How much did you spend?”

Waving her off, you put an arm around her. “It was nothing. I had to get this many. There’s one for each of the ways and reasons I love you.”

With a little giggle, she covered her face, her cheeks flushed red again. “That’s so cheesy!”

“But it’s true! I love you so much Haseul,” you said seriously, and she looked into your eyes, smiling softly and cupping your face with her hand.

“I love you too. And thank you. So many good things are happening in my life, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m really thankful to have you.”

A wave of affection felt like it might burst from your chest a her words. You could do nothing but pull her in for another tight hug, making her giggle softly before she leaned up to give you a soft kiss. It didn’t last long, just a brief touch of her smooth lips to yours, but it told you everything you needed to know. She needed you just as much as you needed her. Your heart squeezing in your chest, you leaned in to capture her lips once again, whispering your heart where only she could hear it.

“I’m so thankful to have you too.”
