Hera, a Goddess Who Deserved Better:
First of all, hello to everyone still here! GOD it’s been a long time, but you now how it goes life and all that. Anyways on with the discussion and of course…
🚨SPOILERS FOR EP. 273🚨
We see Hera floating in an unconscious state having flashbacks to her time with Zeus and all the while her mother is repeatedly calling her name.
The parallels here are heartbreaking but also cathartic in a way. Hera has had a tough go of it despite being Queen of the gods. Raised to fight a war, torn apart to win said war, and being Queen of The Gods in exchange for being married to perhaps the most prolific philanderer the world has ever known.
In chapter 119 we see her being dissatisfied and frustrated with what her life has come to, feeling that she had so much potential and purpose in her younger years, only to be stifled (literally and figuratively) following the war and her marriage to Zeus.
It’s been speculated amongst the community that Hera had been the next fertility goddess before Persephone and to see that vindicated in this way in her declaration to Kronos was more than gratifying to see. I especially loved the parallels between the opening scenes of Episode 119 and this one:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was stunning and meaningful
Also there’s more of a sense of finality to Hera’s separation to Zeus following the revelation. He paints it as protecting Hera but as always his true motivations are put into doubt.
Tumblr media
Given his insistence on wanting to know if she loved him, it’s likely he knew from his experiences with her mother, that some kind of love based connection was necessary. And like the men in his line decided to use that connection for his own means. War or no war him withholding the truth from her and siphoning her power is enough to brand him in my opinion. And unknowingly Hera was in turn made to feel as if she needed to limit herself and power as to placate him and make him feel ‘safe’ (again Episode 119):
Tumblr media
I could definitely be wrong, but with all this information I can’t really see a formal reconciliation between the two. And after that cute kiss with Echo as well as that somber goodbye to a comatose Zeus… I can’t see her being around him anymore in any capacity.
What’s even more heartbreaking is the words of the old harpy to Demeter back in Episode 264. When she declares Persephone the Fertility Goddess of her generation, she also states that the one in Demeter’s generation was sapped of her power before she even had a chance to fully come into them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zeus literally stole her youth and power from her for his own gain… god I need a minute. And his b.s about ‘keeping everyone safe’ despite his promise to Métis who wanted Hera to finally be free… is it bad I want Hera to beat him down? That may be too much to ask for.
She literally had no time or chance to discover herself and potential before she was basically stuck with Zeus and her role as Queen and goddess of marriage. While she is adept at her role and enjoys some aspect of being royalty, I can’t help but wonder what her life would be if she had her own choice? If the war had ended and she was more detached from Zeus, what would her world and future look like through her own eyes and merit?
No wonder she was so protective of Persephone, they are one and the same. I’ve always expressed that they are two sides of the same coin with Hera trying to prevent Persephone from falling into her same path that was marred with unhappiness and limited choices.
So the remaining questions seems to be what will be next for her? Past the confrontation with Kronos I’m wondering what she’ll do now know her full potential and being practically reborn? Will she return to her Queen of the gods role or will she just do her own thing for a while? But before we get there of course, her battle with Kronos is going to take center stage for the time being. While Persephone’s power/fight involved mostly nature given her ‘nature’ I wonder if Hera’s will be the same? Or with the star/space imagery will it be more space based somehow?? I’m not sure but I guess we’ll see in the next episode!
Until next time y’all! ✨

Hey, LO fandom, i need some help here. I think i finally realised why the white hair in Dionysus desing bothers me. Well, not really, i think the hair looks nice with the purple skin, but that's not the point. What bothers me is that he has white hair "Like Hades and Ouranos" is not even about the creators giving him white hair so he would remind Persephone of Hades and having her wanting to keep the baby, i know a lot of LO fans and LO antis didn't like that. And while i am not against the idea of Perse wanting to adopt baby Dio because he reminds her of Hades, i have a problem with the execution of that idea.
First , i want to point out that... Hades doesn't really have white hair (?) i might be totally wrong because i have terrible eye sight and i'm not good with colors, but i am almost sure that Hades hair is a very, very, light shade of blue.
Like:
Tumblr media
At least it looks blue to me. I thought "meybe his hair IS white, but it reflects the cold blue tones of the underword and it makes it look blue-ish" but under that logic, Dio's hair should do the same and it doesn't:
Tumblr media
Dio's hair is REALLY white, white like a cloud and Hades is light blue. I am not saying that it has never been a panel where Hades hair looks white, because LO is extremely inconsistent when it comes to colors and i do remember at least one or two panels where Hades has white hair, But you can't tell me that Dionysus has white hair "like Hades" and then show me this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can really tell that they don't have the same hair color. Also, remeber this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is true that Hades and Ouranos have very similar hair color, mostly because Ouranos hair are clouds, but again all i see here is light blue with white lights (?)
Tumblr media
And this is where my problem with Dio's desing comes in, because Persephone said this:
Tumblr media
And, NO? HE DOESN'T? Perse, sweetie, this kid doesn't look anything like your husband. He Is purple like his dad (Zeus), has his brother's curly hair (Ares) and doesn't even have the same hair color as your husband, i understand that most men in LO look the same but having the same hair color is not enough to make me believe that Dio looks like Hades. Specialy when we have Hades looking like Pepaw Ouranos and Zeus being a purple version of Kronos.
Meybe is just the shading, because we have other characters with white hair, like Thetis, Athena and Thanatos, but they have the same problem with their hair changing colors in each apereance they have. I mean, Thetis has white hair in her debut:
Tumblr media
And now her hair looks munch more blue:
Tumblr media
Meybe it is just the shading. Do i have a point here or i did i really just miss that Hades hair is white? I am not trying to crap on the webtoon or anything, i just want to see if anyone else noticed this, because i haven't seen many people point it out.

Zeus’ Age During The Titanomachy?
This has gotta be worse than LO’s Trojan War continuity.
Tumblr media
We know that Hades was canonically consumed by Kronos when he was six, and would be freed by Zeus thirteen years later, making him between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine during the Titanomachy.
However, this calls both Poseidon & Zeus’ ages into question.
Rhea gave no indication in any of Hades’ flashbacks that Poseidon had already been born. Considering her kind nature, you’d think if Poseidon existed prior to the swallowing of Hades, the brothers would’ve interacted, as from a logical standpoint, raising them separately is strange and inconvenient. We also know that the two had no idea about each other’s existence before Zeus freed them, so I think it’s safe to say Poseidon was born after Kronos consumed Hades.
Tumblr media
This claim is even supported by Poseidon’s wiki article.
But that would make Poseidon thirteen (at most) when the Titanomachy started.
Which brings into question…
Just how old was Zeus???
Tumblr media
His flashback made him look 17-18
But, uh,
If Poseidon is canonically six years younger than Hades, and Hades was nineteen when the Titanomachy started…that would make Zeus around twelve-years-old at most during this flashback.
Now, to be fair, I know in mythos, a lot of the gods age very fast, but there has been zero indication that any of the LO gods age at an abnormal rate.
Tumblr media
In fact, we’ve even seen children forms of both Hades and Zeus, implying they aged at a normal pace (before their aging “stopped,” which is a piece of world-building LO never really elaborated on?)
And this raises an even bigger question: how old was Zeus when he began sleeping with Metis? Because he was only actually legal (by US standards) for (at most) four years of the Titanomachy.
And even if we give Metis the benefit of the doubt and say she did wait till he turned eighteen (like a creepy old man waiting for a celebrity to become legal to sexualize her), she still slept with a young adult she knew since he was a child.
So, um…Rachel has unintentionally made Metis a groomer (or, at least I hope it’s unintentional). Now we know where Hades learned it from, I guess?
Tumblr media
Sounds like a certain someone here, *cough, cough, BLUE KINGPIN, cough* doesn’t she? Was Zeus “extremely charming,” or are you just attracted to teenagers? 🤦‍♂️
I get RS probably wanted to make Hades nineteen at the start of the Titanomachy in order to parallel Persephone, but by doing so, she disregarded the ages of the other brothers, now making Zeus’ entire story even more disturbing, considering a thousand-something-year-old “girlboss” deity basically groomed him when the fate of the entire world was resting on his underaged shoulders.
Tumblr media
As if 229 didn’t already make this line fucked up enough…knowing that Zeus could literally not have been older than thirteen during this flashback, that meant Rhea was telling her adolescent son to go seduce a grown ass goddess…
It’s clear making Zeus so young was not Rachel’s intention…but it is certainly food for thought regarding Lore Olympus’ piss poor continuity & overall writing.

The absolute satisfaction of Persephone laying into Zeus. Zeus is really shooting himself in the leg by keeping Persephone in the mortal realm instead of talking to Persephone, Demeter, Hades and some other gods in private and saying ‘Hey, I think Apollo is planning to overthrow me and wants to use Persephone to do so’ and then working on an easier method of keeping Apollo away from her
