Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I do my best to - I'm a very anxious person so responding to comments feels a bit like pulling teeth, but if I get one really nice comment on a fic I'll usually reply to it and then while I'm still riding that high reply to all the other ones too.

What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Posted, probably vivere sine dolore est (Miraculous Ladybug). Planned, a tie between Max Kanté and the Murder on the Startrain Express (Miraculous Ladybug), and The Mystery Solvers of Derry (Derry Girls).

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I write a lot of fluff, but I think the most cathartic payoff happy ending has to be The Dark Gate (Les Misérables).

Do you get hate on fics? On one fic, my most popular and yet most controversial - mArinette. It's the curse of writing for a big fandom - about 10% of all fandoms are assholes, so the bigger the fandom, the more assholes there are.

Do you write smut? If so what kind? Yup! I was born on the run (but I'll die holding you're hand) and Waitin' on the Sunrise are both Heathers smutfics - the kind that's fluffy, emotional, and trauma-healing (hey, fandom looks for what it didn't get in the source material!). Weirdly, I'm less self-conscious about letting my IRLs read my smutfics than I am about letting them read the fantasy epic stuff.

Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve ever written? Are we counting fusion here? Putting the characters from one fandom into the plot of another is kinda my jam! Memorable ones include mArinette (Miraculous Ladybug Easy A AU), On Se Sent Comme Par Magie (Les Misérables Winx Club AU), Max Kanté and the Murder on the Startrain Express (Miraculous Ladybug Poirot AU), and The Mystery Solvers of Derry (Derry Girls Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated! AU)

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Hopefully not!

Have you ever had a fic translated? Not by someone else - I've translated a Monster High fic - Ginny MacFerrouson: Profile and Diary - I wrote in Scots to English, but haven't posted the translation yet.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not unless you count goofing around in google docs with @deinde-prandium discussing the possibility of writing a Miraculous Ladybug RENT! AU. I once wrote several snippets of a multifandom Hogwarts AU with an IRL friend, but I'm kind of a control freak who even struggles to relinquish control to a beta reader, so co-written works from me are probably unlikely.

What’s your all-time favourite ship? Right now it's JDonica (Heathers), but other favourites include Marisette, Enjoltaire, and Courferre (Les Misérables), Jerin (Derry Girls), Sunflash (Equestria Girls) and Duncney, Gidgette, and DJxDawn (Total Drama).

What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? Right now a lot of fics have had to be put on the backburner while I deal with my ongoing JDonica brainrot, but the one that I'm doubtful of ever going back to is probably 10 Times Carlotta Sugrue-Dupain Got Very, Very Angry. It's a shame, because it was a fun writing exercise for an OC, but she's developed a lot since I posted it, so I doubt I'll ever go back to it.

What are your writing strengths? According to my beta reader for On Se Sent Comme Par Magie, readability, emotional connection with the characters, and engagement with the plot. Ignore the small piece of dust in my eye...

What are your writing weaknesses? Endings. I am so bad at coming up with endings. Usually I try to write the ending before I write the beginning, because if I don't do that, I suck so bad at coming up with an ending.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? Here's the thing. English is my second language, my first being Scots, which has a somewhat different spelling system, and 44 of my 45 published fics are in English. I've written bits and pieces of dialogue in French for Miraculous Ladybug and Les Misérables fics, but I mainly use an online translator for that. I don't take issue with other people doing it - sometimes a story requires it, y'know?

First fandom you ever wrote for? Published? Total Drama. Ever? When I was six I wrote fanfiction of a two-part wildlife documentary about whales because the first part ended very tragically and I wanted a happier story. The adventures of Spermy the Sperm Whale (I was six, ok?) was handwritten and illustrated on a little paper booklet and is probably in my attic somewhere.

Favourite fic you’ve ever written? On Se Sent Comme Par Magie, the six part Les Misérables epic!fic set to a Winx Club AU. It's like my beloved child. I've been writing it since 2017 and it's responsible for most of my AO3 word count. And you don't have to know anything about either fandom to read it! My beta reader doesn't. I'm the Will Smith meme pointing to it.

Haven’t been tagged for fuck it Friday yet but want to share (want to say, perhaps, fuck it on this here Friday) so here’s a continuation from this bit of the season 7 fight fic

He’s miserable at work the next day, and not entirely interested in hiding it. Eddie notices immediately, of course, but he doesn’t say anything. Probably, Buck thinks, because he thinks it’s his fault. He’s not inclined to correct him.

No one says anything until lunch, Chimney looking at him with eyes concerned as they are teasing as he asks “What’s with you, Buckaroo?”

Buck looks down at his sandwich, coated with stupid sriracha mayo. “Got dumped.”

He’s not looking at him, but Buck can feel Eddie tense up across the room. “Aw, man,” Chimney says, sounding genuinely put out. “I thought things were going well with Nat?”

The affectionate nickname, because Chimney liked her, because everyone liked her, because Buck liked her and things were going well. “Mhm.” Buck decides he doesn’t want to eat the sandwich, and normally he’d hand it over to Eddie but he doesn’t want to fucking do that either. “But now it isn’t.” A laugh, like Ha Ha. “I mean I guess now it isn’t going at all.”

“Do you think you can work to fix things?” Bobby asks, familiar with Buck’s catastrophizing, eyeing him from the stove where he’s grilling the bread of his own sandwich. Maybe Buck should do that with his, maybe that would make him want to eat it.

Buck shrugs. “I… maybe. But I don’t think-“ he shrugs again. The regular mayo was right there, he should have just-

“Do you not want to fix it?” Hen gently probes.

Buck scrubs his palms over his eyes because it would be embarrassing to cry at work, even in front of these people he loves that wouldn’t mind if he did. “I think it’s more complicated than that. I don’t think I’m going to try. And I don’t really want to talk about it more.”

There are various sympathetic noises around him, and then Eddie says “I’m sorry, man.”

Buck tries not to move too quickly as he lowers his hands to look at him, standingly uncomfortably next to the open fridge, paused while looking for something inside. He withers a little under Buck’s stare. “Thanks,” Buck says as he pushes his plate towards the trash, “Man.” Buck watches Eddie watch the bread and toppings tumble apart into the bin. “I’m gonna go get some air.”

Not his finest exit, but he thinks there aren’t many graceful ways for a person to flee.

“I know,” Buck says, a little drowsy. And he does know—Eddie’s told him everything. There’s no secrets between them. “It’s big enough for you and Chris to grow in.”  “I think it could be a forever home.” It’s a whisper because anything louder might disrupt the moment. “Mine and my son’s and yours, too.”  Buck blinks, slow and sleepy. He’s less than five minutes from falling asleep; he worked so hard today. He deserves to rest. “Mine?” he repeats, voice pitched high like he doesn’t quite believe it.  Eddie’ll make him.  “Yours.” He reaches out, picks at a dark eyelash resting on Buck’s cheek, and holds the tip of his finger near Buck’s mouth. “Make a wish.”  Buck’s eyes cross, twin blobs of blue in the flickering light of the laptop screen, and he puckers his lips to blow a bit of cool air. The eyelash drifts off somewhere over Eddie’s shoulder, but he doesn’t care to know because the color of Buck’s eyes is the same shade of blue the sky was the night he stayed up with his abuelo.  “What’d you wish for?”  Buck chuckles. “If I tell you, it won’t come true.”  Eddie hums. “I’ll make it come true,” he swears, and he thinks Buck’s cheeks tint red, but it might just be from the light of the laptop screen.

anways. fun fact: i bought tekken 6 and doa4 (DON'T JUDGE ME!) for the xbox 360 and then when i tried hooking up my 360 to the tv i got the red ring of death because mine is like. THE ORIGINAL release of the 360 (the white one that initially sold to market god knows how long ago at this point). So either I have to fix it, pay someone to fix it or buy a 360 slim which seems like. my only other option RIP.

what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ooh, does original poetry count? Because if so, Kathryn, a midlength poem I wrote about Kathryn Howard the fifth wife of Henry VIII who was beheaded between the ages of 17 and 22. Or maybe these are times that can’t be weathered (and we have never been back there since then), a story about a Miraculous OC discovering Hawkmoth’s identity.

what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Personally, I think it’s The Dark Gate, part four of my Les Mis Winx Club AU. The happy ending is really earned and needed.

do you get hate on fics?

Not really since I stopped regularly writing for Miraculous Ladybug. Boy, that was a wild experience. The fandom was really big at the time and it was the post-Season 3 salt era, so Opinions were both abundant and poor in quality.

do you write smut? if so, what kind?

Yes indeed! I was born on the run (but I’ll die holding your hand) and Waitin’ on the Sunrise are both JDonica smut fics that I am very very proud of! They’re… very fluffy. You know that rule about how you see in fandom the stuff that was missing from the source material? Look, I just want my awful blorbos to be happy. And also to bang a lot.

Does On Se Sent Comme Par Magie count? It’s really more fusion fic, it’s the characters of Les Mis living out the plot of Winx Club. Look, it just… it made sense in my head, y’know?

I’m really bad for run-on sentences - it’s not my fault, okay, I started reading Les Mis when I was sixteen and impressionable, and Victor Hugo did a number on my psyche that I doubt will ever be reversed because unfortunately Vicky Huge-ho lives rent-free in my skull and whispers in my ear to just use more semicolons like the whore he is.

thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I’ve written in Scots before, which was fun! I kind of want to do it again, but the Plot Bunnies aren’t cooperating right now.

first fandom you wrote for?

I think. Technically. It was a documentary about Sperm Whales that had a really sad ending that I saw when I was six and I wrote a little book that gave it a happier ending, if that counts? If not, probably Equestria Girls. Although, thank god, my early fic experiments are all stored on a hard drive that will never see the light of day again.

I’d say she’s really into Versace if she really had to pick one.
