What Are They Like On Social Media (Headcanons)?
feat. luffy, zoro, nami, sanji, usopp, robin, franky, and brook
requests open for other things like this!
Tumblr media
Luffy
nami made him make an Instagram account and he did so... BUT NOT WITHOUT DOWNLOADING 8 VIRUSES THE MOMENT HE GOT ONTO IT
he started clinking on every ad he saw, of course, and now he's got to pay 100000 dollars by the end of the month or else world government will find him.
he took that as a challenge.
basic, but his username is kingofthepirates or strawhat69 or something
maybe even a pun or some shit bro
follows anybody he even slightly likes and comments dumb shit on all of their posts.
ex; luffy commenting on a post robin made w chopper "can you ask him if reindeers are real?"
takes weird angled photos of his friends and posts them (ex. forehead shots)
Zoro
username is bestswordsmanofficial
usually posts training videos, but also sometimes puts on his story a cry for help to his friends cuz he got lost again
also not the most tech savy guy
i get vibes he would straight up record himself coughing to death and post it
he went viral once, actually.
was dragged by nami to be a backup dancer for one of her tiktoks
stiffly dancing
on snapchat, he uses weird filters like the broccoli one and just sent it to everyone he knew.
Nami
username is nami.venmo.me
probably makes scams in order to get money
she has two accounts; a scamming account and a real account (both under similar usernames actually)
on snapchat, she and usopp have a 200+ snapscore
they both contemplated jumping ship when they messed it up..
matching pfps with usopp too! ex.;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
nami is cookie monster, usopp is screaming man
Sanji
username is lovecook_sanji
other than posting the food he makes, he also posts aesthetic photos of him crying💀
ALSO posts photos of baths with rose petals that he only made cuz he wanted to be desperate in the caption like "such a beautiful place... i just wish that... someone could share it with me... :("
out here posting "i wish i was beautiful :(" posts for attention and zoro out here commenting back "i wish you were too💀"
blocked zoro after that
tags ONLY nami and robin in his posts whenever he posts the group
"the rest of them are just some guys 🙄"
Usopp
username is god..usopp
also is in charge of the strawhat official social media accounts
nami makes the aesthetically pleasing posts while usopp posts the funny hahas
like that time luffy slipped off ship with his mouth full of food (and bcuz he can't swim w his devil fruit) so he almost sank to the bottom
plugs his personal acc on the strawhat official acc too much
luffy used to be the manager of the account but that acc got banned...
so usopp was given the job to make a new one and manage it (no luffy you can't write the caption)
Robin
username is nico.robin
mostly posts about the books she's been reading, such as reviews
formats them nice and neatly
all her posts are very aesthetically pleasing
besides book reviews, she posts a lot of chopper
she's like a mom in that way making her kids pose for photos and takes photos as much as possible
overall very pretty account
Franky
username is franky_da_cyborg
when not posting inventions, he posts crewmates doing random things
doesn't have to be weird at all most of the posts are just straight up usopp making a sandwich or robin reading
all posts are very low quality tho lol
Brook
username is musician-brook
obv posts him playing music but also posts himself saying terrible dad jokes
"singing in the shower is fun until you get soap in your mouth. then it's a soap opera."
he got the phone confiscated for that one
apart of nami's backup dancers for her tiktoks
actually works it
go grandpa go!

PLEASE WRITE A PART 2 for accident! I’m obsessed
I hadn't planned on it, but... this has been arranged.
accident p. 2 (pedro pascal x gn/m!reader)
Tumblr media
a/n: same vague universe as “marked," as always.
summary: you let him fuss.
It's well past midnight as you key into the apartment. Pedro busies himself by getting you settled, although his movements are almost as sluggish and haggard as your own. Six hours in the ER had taken its toll.
"Why don't you head up?"
You'd sat on the chair by the door, intent on untying your shoes, but had apparently been staring at them for the last few moments. Without a second thought, Pedro kneeled before you. "I'm gonna take the dogs around the block, and then I'll close up down here."
You are struck, not for the first time this evening, by an overwhelming wave of gratitude. How did you get so lucky?
He jingles the leashes, pausing to kiss your forehead before heading out.
It takes you way too long to get up. Some combination of exhaustion and low-dose Vicodin have you zoning out, effectively sleepwalking without Pedro to move you along. There is a pharmacy baggy on the counter, but by the sluggishness of your thoughts, the remainder of the prescription might need to go untouched.
Eventually, you drag yourself upstairs.
Everything feels dirty. The loaned scrub pants come off easily, shed in the doorway of the ensuite, to be dealt with later. (Thrown away, burned, ripped to shreds... Dealer's choice. Anything to be rid of them and put the whole evening behind you.)
You want to take the hottest shower possible, and scrub off the invisible hospital residue until your skin is raw. But the prospect of standing for long enough to get clean is... logistically impossible.
At least your dominant hand is uninjured. You reach around, fumbling with the buckle on the back of the sling. For a broken bone, it wasn't very high tech— just a few pieces of fabric holding the two halves of your left clavicle in place. But the damn thing may as well have been a rubik's cube, for how impossible it was to unstrap.
That's about where Pedro finds you: back down to your underwear, hunched on the closed lid of the toilet, frustrated to tears.
"This is so stupid."
"Baby," he starts softly. His dinner attire has been pared down to slacks and an undershirt. "Please let me do this for you."
A brown paper bag is set on the counter, so he can gently remove the sling, followed by the scrub top. Eyes closed, you wilt on the lid. Pedro reaches to plug the tub, without asking, though you nod slowly as he looks back.
The man busies himself as you watch on: changes into a well-loved pair of flannel pajama bottoms, tosses some lavender epsom salt into the slowly-filling water, swears a blue streak doing something suspiciously loud in the other room.
When he returns, slightly red in the face, the bath has been filled.
A not-insignificant part of you had hoped he'd be joining, but Pedro chooses instead to perch on the side, running a hand through your hair as you settle against the porcelain. From within the paper bag, a bag of mini Reeses cups are presented.
"Bodega dinner," he says proudly, adding, "you gotta eat something, baby."
"I'm okay," you whisper, though you're not talking about the peanut butter, at all.
"But you almost weren't," he says hoarsely. "I keep replaying that phone call over and over again in my mind. I think my heart stopped for a second. I just..."
You can only nod, mutely. The feverish, borderline frantic look in his eyes traps any response in your throat. (Honestly, he'd been looking at you like that all night. Hasn't really taken his eyes off you since he found you in the hospital hallway.)
So, you let him fuss.
Out of the tub, you lightly dread bedtime, though you've been fantasizing about sleep now for hours. The doctor had specifically warned against sleeping on either your side or back, instead sending you home with a diagram of how to sleep sitting up. Which sounds worse than a car accident, frankly.
But, upon entering, you discover the bedroom has... transformed? Your bed, normally centered, has been pushed into the corner. One nightstand has been abandoned in the middle of the room.
"I'll move that later," Pedro says sheepishly.
All the pillows on the bed, and from the chaise in the opposite corner of the room, have been gathered in a clumsy pile. The dogs have already assumed their positions against the footer.
Pedro shucks off his undershirt, and crawls into the makeshift nest. With pillows to support his often-fragile back, he reclines against the wall corner. Pats the mattress.
"You can't lay down," he warns, as you shift onto the bed. "The doctor was really particular about that."
"Sitting up," you echo. Although, at this point, you'd crash standing up if it meant you could finally fucking sleep.
Pedro splays his legs. "Come here."
Carefully, one-handed, you maneuver yourself according to his gesturing. Settling, back-to-chest, against him; legs between his legs. Propped up like a rag doll. As if on autopilot, Pedro's arm comes up to wrap across your stomach.
"This can't possibly be comfortable for you," you protest.
His lips brush your temple. "I promise." His grip tightens; you are a human teddy bear, which feels appropriate, since your brain is full of stuffing.
Each rise and fall of Pedro's chest presses warmly against you. There is nothing to wake up for tomorrow, no alarm to set— you'd cancelled your Sunday Brunch plans sometime between the IV and the x-ray.
"Hey." You loll your head against his shoulder. Can't meet his eyes, from this angle, but in the darkness of the bedroom, it doesn't really matter.
"Hey."
Your fingers lace with his, where they clutch around your side. "I love you."
"Mm." His chin hooks over the top of your head. "You have no idea, sweetheart."

I wrote a mini essay on the balor and I want to get it out of the discord server. some of this might be outdated.
Balor Report The following assumes one is doing a nanowhip build Balor.
Mobility: Pankrati 2, skirmisher 2, and Agility 2 are more than sufficient for mobility purposes, Sunzi is actually unnecessary and Balor can very comfortable achieve its foundational mobility by LL3 at the cost of executioner 3 and Hull 4 which both have to wait till LL4.
Heat Resistance: Lesson of Disbelief! 2 investment in systems or engineering depending on if one is branching out into tech attacking or focusing on raw damage would be wise, but is not a priority.
Presence: Even without swarm body, skirmisher executioner with the whip allows for insane combat oppression.
Takeaway: sunzi can outright be dropped in favor of IPSN investment for the HP, size, or threat core bonus at LL6, the quest is just what you want from IPSN for specifics. Avoiding heat gen is still important. Hull 4 is sufficient HP investment for the most part, so I'd actually suggest investing in Engineering or systems at LL5-6.
Addendum: Balor 3 Black Witch 3 is very good, as most of the IPSN license are wholly unneeded by Balor build. to put it in Morrowind terms, from the perspective of "solving problems", ISPN does not, but also threat 4 whip and hull save acc. further enhances the insanity of the balor so its hard to pass up. Black Witch on the other hand provides the ferrous lash, the PCP, and the black ice module. These immensely help patch of existing weak points of the Balor by providing it further tech resistance, allied support, and control effects. Magnetic shield is good but may not fit due to SP cost, and I'd say that the balor benefits more from having swarm/hive nanites than mag cannon. Also +2 evasion core bonus further assists the Balor's survivability, allowing you to perform some insane feats of frontlining.
Balor Synergy Options
Sunzi: Accelerate and Blink charges are excellent. HA Core Bonus Synergy: Low. IAF or SBD are good options, the former for blink charges, the latter for shoring up Balor's weaknesses. Low rating is due blink charges being an unsustainable luxury that runs counter to the Balor's speciality, and the Balor's poor reactor can be better mitigated by giving it protection from tech, such as from the next entry-
Black Witch: Ferrous Lash, Black Ice, and PCP. Black Ice especially combines with Lesson of Disbelief to turn a normally witch-fearing frame into a witch-hunter. SSC Core Bonus Synergy: Moderate. Evasion allows for more front-lining, others not really useful.
Lancaster: Cable Winch, Restock, Whitewash. CW traps them into melee with you, restock drone is some nice team support, and whitewash can slow enemies for pankrati as well as supporting allies and saving civilians. IPSN Core Bonus Synergy: !ridiculously high! Formorian Frame increases combat presence, since threat 3 extends from all tiles, and taking house guard will allow you to acquire guardian to be an incredibly defender presence. Gyges frame is obviously threat 4 whip but also shoutout to +1 acc Hull for further enhancing survivability. lots of nasty things are hull saves. and Reinforced Frame of course further enhances your natural regen.

AI Safety Between Scylla and Charybdis and an Unpopular Way Forward
I am unabashedly a technology optimist. For me, however, that means making choices for how we will get the best out of technology for the good of humanity, while limiting its negative effects. With technology becoming ever more powerful there is a huge premium on getting this right as the downsides now include existential risk.
Let me state upfront that I am super excited about progress in AI and what it can eventually do for humanity if we get this right. We could be building the capacity to turn Earth into a kind of garden of Eden, where we get out of the current low energy trap and live in a World After Capital.
At the same time there are serious ways of getting this wrong, which led me to write a few posts about AI risks earlier this year. Since then the AI safety debate has become more heated with a fair bit of low-rung tribalism thrown into the mix. To get a glimpse of this one merely needs to look at the wide range of reactions to the White House Executive Order on Safe, Secure and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence. This post is my attempt to point out what I consider to be serious flaws in the thinking of two major camps on AI safety and to mention an unpopular way forward.
First, let’s talk about the “AI safety is for wimps” camp, which comes in two forms. One is the happy-go-lucky view represented by Marc Andreessen’s “Techno-Optimist Manifesto” and also his preceding Tweet thread. This view dismisses critics who dare to ask social or safety questions as luddites and shills.
So what’s the problem with this view? Dismissing AI risks doesn’t actually make them go away. And it is extremely clear that at this moment in time we are not really set up to deal with the problems. On the structural risk side we are already at super extended income and wealth inequality. And the recent AI advances have already been shown to further accelerate this discrepancy.
On the existential risk side, there is recent work by Kevin Esvelt et al. showing how LLMs can broaden access to pandemic agents. Jeffrey Ladish et. al. demonstrating how cheap it is to remove safety training from an open source model with published weights. This type of research clearly points out that as open source models become rapidly more powerful they can be leveraged for very bad things and that it continues to be super easy to strip away the safeguards that people claim can be built into open source models.
This is a real problem. And people like myself, who have strongly favored permissionless innovation, would do well to acknowledge it and figure out how to deal with it. I have a proposal for how to do that below.
But there is one intellectually consistent way to continue full steam ahead that is worth mentioning. Marc Andreessen cites Nick Land as an inspiration for his views. Land in Meltdown wrote the memorable line “Nothing human makes it out of the near-future”. Embracing AI as a path to a post-human future is the view embraced by the e/acc movement. Here AI risks aren’t so much dismissed as simply accepted as the cost of progress. My misgiving with this view is that I love humanity and believe we should do our utmost to preserve it (my next book which I have started to work on will have a lot more to say about this).
Second, let’s consider the “We need AI safety regulation now” camp, which again has two subtypes. One is “let regulated companies carry on” and the other is “stop everything now.” Again both of these have deep problems.
The idea that we can simply let companies carry on with some relatively mild regulation suffers from three major deficiencies. First, this has the risk of leading us down the path toward highly concentrated market power and we have seen the problems of this in tech again and again (it has been a long standing topic on my blog). For AI market power will be particularly pernicious because this technology will eventually power everything around us and so handing control to a few corporations is a bad idea. Second, the incentives of for-profit companies aren’t easily aligned with safety (and yes, I include OpenAI here even though it has in theory capped investor returns but also keeps raising money at ever higher valuations, so what’s the point?).
But there is an even deeper third deficiency of this approach and it is best illustrated by the second subtype which essentially wants to stop all progress. At its most extreme this is a Ted Kaczynsci anti technology vision. The problem with this of course is that it requires equipping governments with extraordinary power to prevent open source / broadly accessible technology from being developed. And this is an incredible unacknowledged implication of much of the current pro-regulation camp.
Let me just give a couple of examples. It has long been argued that code is speech and hence protected by first amendment rights. We can of course go back and revisit what protections should be applicable to “code as speech,” but the proponents of the “let regulated companies go ahead with closed source AI” don’t seem to acknowledge that they are effectively asking governments to suppress what can be published as open source (otherwise, why bother at all?). Over time government would have to regulate technology development ever harder to sustain this type of regulated approach. Faster chips? Government says who can buy them. New algorithms? Government says who can access them. And so on. Sure, we have done this in some areas before, such as nuclear bomb research, but these were narrow fields, whereas AI is a general purpose technology that affects all of computation.
So this is the conundrum. Dismissing AI safety (Scylla) only makes sense if you go full on post humanist because the risks are real. Calling for AI safety through oversight (Charybdis) doesn’t acknowledge that way too much government power is required to sustain this approach.
Is there an alternative option? Yes but it is highly unpopular and also hard to get to from here. In fact I believe we can only get there if we make lots of other changes, which together could take us from the Industrial Age to what I call the Knowledge Age. For more on that you can read my book The World After Capital.
For several years now I have argued that technological progress and privacy are incompatible. The reason for this is entropy, which means that our ability to destroy will always grow faster than our ability to (re)build. I gave a talk about it at the Stacks conference in Berlin in 2018 (funny side note: I spoke right after Edward Snowden gave a full throated argument for privacy) and you can read a fuller version of the argument in my book.
The only solution other than draconian government is to embrace a post privacy world. A world in which it can easily be discovered that you are building a super dangerous bio weapon in your basement before you have succeeded in releasing it. In this kind of world we can have technological progress but also safeguard humanity – in part by using aligned super intelligences to detect what is happening. And yes, I believe it is possible to create versions of AGI that have deep inner alignment with humanity that cannot easily be removed. Extremely hard yes, but possible (more on this in upcoming posts on an initiative in this direction).
Now you might argue that a post privacy world also requires extraordinary state power but that's not really the case. I grew up in a small community where if you didn't come out of your house for a day, the neighbors would check in to make sure you were OK. Observability does not require state power per se. Much of this can happen simply if more information is default public. And so regulation ought to aim at increased disclosure.
We are of course a long way away from a world where most information about us could be default public. It will require massive changes from where we are today to better protect people from the consequences of disclosure. And those changes would eventually have to happen everywhere that people can freely have access to powerful technology (with other places opting for draconian government control instead).
Given that the transition which I propose is hard and will take time, what do I believe we should do in the short run? I believe that a great starting point would be disclosure requirements covering training inputs, cost of training runs, and powered by (i.e. if you launch say a therapy service that uses AI you need to disclose which models). That along with mandatory API access could start to put some checks on market power. As for open source models I believe a temporary voluntary moratorium on massively larger more capable models is vastly preferable to any government ban. This has a chance of success because there are relatively few organizations in the world that have the resources to train the next generation of potentially open source models.
Most of all though we need to have a more intellectually honest conversation about risks and how to mitigate them without introducing even bigger problems. We cannot keep suggesting that these are simple questions and that people must pick a side and get on with it.

Despite the fact that I am getting more comfortable with being SaLS on main, I still get incredibly anxious when I get an anti message
I'm just so scared to have a callout post written about me, and you can never know who will or wont try to set you up for harassment (especially if they are an anti) It doesn't help that I'm incredibly anxious and paranoid a lot of the time
congrats on getting more comfy!! and yeah anxiety is a bitch but i believe in you! at some point you kinda get callous and desensitized to random messages lol
i dont mean to make it worse at all, and if that line of thinking doesnt work for you i apologize, but here's a few things ive picked up over the years:
it doesnt like... /really/ matter what you post. things that you or a wider audience consider "problematic" arent the only way you can get "cancelled". like i got called racist for pointing out that two phrases in different languages can be translated in the same way in english. like literally ranting in the tags about my own language ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so for people determined to look and sift for 'material' it wont really make a difference if youre posting incest fic or like.. oogling over the celebrity of the day, they just wanna pick a fight. so do what makes you happy anyway, it wont give them teeth if you dont worry about the content yourself. bc yeah it doesnt matter on the internet if you post fic or just aesthetics, they have the same 'moral' value and if you dont assign them different weights then someone else doing it shouldnt bother you either
in the.. absolute best gentlest and encouraging way to say this. you and like. all of us are just some randos on the internet. the chances of someone leading a /personalized/ harassment campaign against you, or even someone finding you that juicy of a target to have more people message you is like. /really/ low. even if you get messages from time to time, a whole ass campaign is unlikely unless you have a lot of followers/are a BNF/are the lead content creator for a rival ship to the main one (bc lets be real all this is one giant ship war at the end of the day)
callouts or "block" lists are usually mass things in my xp. like you get put among 20 other usernames and then you bond w the others over the experience and are happy that you found new likeminded mutuals. the amount of times ive followed an entire list of ~problematics ive been featured in lol. its ironically a bonding experience and with a few blocks out of the way its kinda.. positive in the best case?
and really. really. i might be like. a bit too callous but at this point. even if there is a harassment campaign. even if you get a huge callout. even if half tumblr blocks you. so what? block out the haters, lie in with the mutuals, vent to some side friends. and just. keep going. so what if a bunch of rabid antis are raging out of their skin because youre having fun and trying to tell the other antis that youre having fun. yes you are. so what. what are they gonna do, make fifty accounts? send more anons? catch even more blocks? (reminder that if you block someone on anon it catches their entire ip so they cant make more accs to harass you). like yes, take precaution not to get doxxed (no sharing of identifying info, including where you live) but thats common safety anyway, and most antis arent tech savvy enough to dox anyway. you'll be fine. even if an account gets mass reported you can always write down mutuals' urls and start over (my own mutuals have a lot of experience, the propara community is fun lol) you can still share content, have fun, be yourself. its not a deadly situation. not to be 'the internet isnt real life it doesnt matter' bc yeah it can very much be anxiety inducing and horrible, but at the same time taking a step back yourself and evaluating the situation can help a lot with emotional regulation (just like in real life! some relationships are worth stepping away from, or getting less invested into if they become toxic)
so yeah thats my general view of the problem, again brains are weird and no two work the same, but these things help me and make me feel better, so hopefully if not you personally they might soothe someone in general ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
really hoping you find your community and comfort anon. fandom is a great place with it and a barren wasteland without, but imo its worth sharing even if for that one thrill /you/ get when someone likes it or when you find some gem

How to make easy adjustment of 532nm green laser diode module?
If you are trying to make highly precise and clear dot indication for those of precise machinery processing works, without any limitation by long distances, high height or other complex working environment, etc, it should be a quite a nice solution for users to operate a highly bright beam emitting tool, such as a 532nm green laser diode module. It keeps works with the most visible and the brightest green laser light source emission from the beam aperture. On condition that it gets constant electric power source supply and proper mounting onto any other industrial machine or devices, within quite a long extending distance distance of 25 meters, and other highlighting working occasions, only after its correct use of output power and proper installation to correct position, this 532nm green dot laser has just assured the best quality green laser light source emission, and ultra clear and precise dot indication at long extending. The basic use of a 532nm green laser diode module is quite similar with a 532nm green laser pointer. However, in order to make a longer lasting time dot alignment, it just gets even better thermal emitting design. The basic use of a metal heat sink cooling system has just configured with a high duration anodized aluminum housing tube. It is always working well with superior nice thermal emitting and thermal stabilization, and enables long lasting green reference dot projection within daily operating time of ten hours per day. There is also no effect caused by overheating and over current impact as well. Being made with a qualified glass coated lens, together with a glass window inside the high duration anodized aluminum housing tube, the general use of this 532nm green laser diode module is working well with high transmittance and high density green laser light source emission from a 532nm green DPSS laser system. It gets quite low laser beam divergence of 1mard and special TEM00 beam mode. In practical process dot measuring work, it always gets ultra compact size green referenced dot prediction onto different working surfaces. As a result, when users are selecting this accessory part for those of precise works, it just makes a good job for high precision green dot indication for laser marking, laser engraving, drilling system, military positioning, high Tech and lab experiment work etc. Together with APC, ACC driving circuit body design inside the high duration housing tube, after passing through strict laser beam stability test and aging preventing test up to 24 hours, this accessory part just enables constant output power and electric current supply. This 532nm green laser module enables the most reliable green reference dot emission, without any effect caused by increasing temperature and serious electric current impact as well. Once this alignment laser makes freely adjusted laser beam focus and laser dot emitting direction, it gets the most concentrated green laser light source emission and the most precise dot indication at greater distance and higher lighting working occasion. After correct wearing of laser safety glasses and avoiding eye exposure to beam aperture, this industrial alignment laser just makes easy and secured dot indication for all work fields effectively.

Automotive Safety System Market Share, Size, Future Demand, and Emerging Trends
Tumblr media
Every other day upon opening a newspaper or a news channel, reading or listening to the news of people becoming victims to road accidents, and sometimes even losing their lives.
It is a fact that the risk cannot be totally eliminated from the dynamics of driving the vehicles, but one thing that can be done is improving the vehicle safety. And with regards to that automobile manufacturers are very much concerned about improving the safety features inside the vehicles.
Let us look at this blog, which talks about the advancement in vehicle technology, and how the safety systems in the vehicles have improved a great deal.
In the years, with incessant advances in vehicle technology, vehicles develop at a tremendous pace. The needless side-effects of these tech expansions were disparaging and now and then even grave accidents. Automotive OEMs are more concerned related to safety of the vehicles and strived to ease the effects of these chances by improving the same.
Accordingly, safety of the vehicles has improved considerably through the years. Augmented importance on consumer safety and strict regulations of the government have brought about the expansion of safety systems in the automotive sector.
Before looking at how vehicle safety has altered and advanced, let us understand what precisely vehicle safety is and how is it classified, accompanied by prevailing safety features.
What is automotive safety?
Vehicle safety can be defined as the design combination, equipment, construction, and guidelines for ensuring that the ill-effects of vehicle collisions are restricted considerably.
Accompanied by its key purpose of protecting the passengers and justifying the repercussions of a collision, safety features likewise help the driver of the car in a number of situations for example parking or protecting walkers and other motorists from collision and accidents.
What is Active Safety and Passive Safety?
Automotive safety can be divided into passive safety and active safety. Active safety can surely as the tech helping in averting a car crash.
Alternatively, passive safety has components limiting the damage produced and guard the passengers throughout a car crash. So, it can be effortlessly inferred that active safety means proactive safety events whereas passive safety means reactive safety.
Some of the shared active safety systems at the present time comprise ABS, ESC/ESP, TPMS, LDWS and ACC. Active safety also comprises appropriate visibility from the seat of the driver and low level of noise in the interior. The commonly used in passive safety systems are airbags, seatbelts, collapsible steering columns, inhabitant sensing systems along with kill switches and crumple zones.
Also, collision avoidance systems for example mirrors, headlamps, reflectors and the steering, braking and suspension systems contribute to the complete safety of the automobile, by helping in averting the incidence of a crash.

If you've shopped for a new car lately, you may have come across a high-tech sounding feature called adaptive cruise control (ACC). This technology is starting to become more common on newer vehicles. ACC builds on traditional cruise control. It uses advanced sensors to adjust your speed automatically based on traffic flow. This helps reduce driver fatigue on long trips. Here's an in-depth look at how ACC works and the key benefits it offers compared to standard systems. What is Adaptive Cruise Control? How Adaptive Cruise Control Works ACC uses a forward-facing radar and/or camera plus sophisticated software. It constantly scans for vehicles ahead of you in your lane. When ACC detects slower traffic, it can automatically slow your car down to match their speed. This helps maintain a safe following distance. If that car changes lanes or speeds up, ACC will then accelerate you back up to your preset speed. The system aims to perform a lot of the speed adjustment tasks on its own. ACC also includes basic cruise control capabilities. So you can still manually set your desired speed like normal. ACC vs. Standard Cruise Control Standard cruise control locks onto one preset speed. You have to brake yourself when needed. ACC adds extra convenience and safety: Automatically slows/stops in traffic - Regular cruise control will not brake. ACC slows you down when it senses slower cars ahead. Maintains following distance - ACC uses radar to keep a safe space cushion between you and the next vehicle. Resumes preset speed - After braking, ACC will re-accelerate back to the speed you set once the lane is clear. Works at low speeds - ACC can operate at very low speeds and even come to a complete stop. Basic systems deactivate below 25-30 mph. Benefits of Adaptive Cruise Control Here are some of the useful advantages this upgraded system offers: Reduce driver fatigue - The constant speed adjustments are tiring for humans over long distances. ACC does the work for you. Cut down on traffic jams - By smoothling slowing down, ACC helps prevent phantom traffic jams caused by repeated braking. Improve safety - Maintaining safe following distances and steady speeds improves overall traffic flow and reduces accidents. Enable partial self-driving - Advanced ACC systems keep you in your lane and can bring the car to a full stop, allowing brief hands-free operation. Ease congested commutes - Stop-and-go traffic is less stressful when you don't have to constantly brake and accelerate manually. For many driving scenarios, ACC can help create a more comfortable and convenient experience. Test driving a car with well-implemented ACC can help you better appreciate the benefits. How to Use Adaptive Cruise Control Using ACC is simple after you learn the basics. Here are typical steps for enabling it: Press the ACC button on the steering wheel to activate the system. A light will illuminate. Get up to your desired cruising speed like normal. The current speed will show on your dash. Press Set on the steering wheel. This locks in your speed. ACC will now take over accelerating and braking to maintain speed while preventing collisions. To manually override, tap the brakes or press the gas. To fully disable ACC, press the button again. Refer to your owner's manual for specifics on your vehicle. Controls and displays can vary between car brands. ACC Considerations While ACC has many benefits, it's important to know its limitations too: Works above certain speeds - ACC only activates above 25-45 mph depending on the vehicle. It won't brake at very low speeds. Can't detect all objects - While great at tracking cars, ACC may not see pedestrians, animals, or debris. You have to remain alert. Weather can interfere - Heavy rain, snow, or fog can disrupt the sensors, forcing you to turn ACC off. Hil
ly roads may confuse it - ACC relies on line of sight. Steep up-and-down terrain can affect its efficiency. Tight curves can disable it - Some ACC systems won't work on winding or mountain roads since they can't see far enough ahead. Only a driving aid - Drivers still need to pay attention and be ready to brake manually when required. ACC isn't autonomous driving. Overall though, ACC removes a lot of the monotony and effort from cruising on straight highways with steady traffic flow. Just be prepared for situations where you'll need to take control again. Vehicles Offering Adaptive Cruise Control ACC technology continues to drop in price, allowing more car brands to offer it. Here are some vehicles that feature standard or optional adaptive cruise control: Luxury Makes: Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus, Audi, Tesla, Cadillac Mainstream Brands: Subaru, Toyota, Nissan, Chevrolet, Honda, Ford ACC is frequently bundled with other advanced driver aids as part of a package. For example, Subaru's EyeSight system includes adaptive cruise plus pre-collision braking and lane keep assist. When shopping, look for terms like dynamic cruise control, intelligent cruise control, or autonomous cruise control. These all refer to ACC. Test driving cars with ACC can help you determine if the functionality is refined enough to warrant the price. ACC Cost Considerations Adaptive cruise prices vary greatly depending on the vehicle: Mainstream vehicles: Typically $500 - $2,000 when not bundled with other features. Often requires upgrading to a higher trim level. Luxury vehicles: Can be standard even on base models. When an option, usually $2,000 - $4,000 packaged with other aids like lane centering. ACC subscription services: Some automakers now offer ACC as a monthly software subscription. For example, BMW charges $25/month to add ACC to cars equipped with the required hardware. DIY aftermarketACC: Solutions like Comma.ai's OpenPilot system add ACC to certain compatible vehicle models and trims for around $1,000 in hardware. Professional installation is recommended. When comparing prices, take into account factors like whether ACC is bundled with other features and the level of sophistication. Higher-end ACC systems generally perform better but cost more. The Future of Adaptive Cruise Control Looking ahead, ACC is set to play a crucial role in the development of autonomous vehicles. As sensor technology and artificial intelligence continue to advance, we can expect ACC systems to become even more sophisticated and capable. For instance, future ACC systems may be able to communicate with other vehicles and infrastructure (a concept known as V2X communication), allowing them to anticipate traffic conditions and adjust accordingly. This could lead to smoother, more efficient driving and even greater safety benefits. Moreover, as electric vehicles become more common, ACC will likely be a key feature in managing battery life. By optimizing speed and acceleration, ACC can help maximize an electric vehicle's range, making it an even more valuable feature. In conclusion, while ACC is already a transformative technology, its true potential is just beginning to be realized. As we continue to move towards a future of autonomous driving, ACC will undoubtedly be at the forefront of this exciting journey. Key Takeaways on Adaptive Cruise Control Uses radar and cameras to maintain your speed while automatically slowing down for traffic. Helps make driving in steady highway conditions less fatiguing and more convenient. Goes beyond basic cruise control by working at low speeds and leaving proper stopping distances. Found as a standard or optional feature on many new cars, especially higher-end trims. Requires paying attention to road conditions the system may not handle well. Pricing varies greatly based on brand and integration - can be a $500 option or included
by default. FAQs What is adaptive cruise control? Adaptive cruise control (ACC) is an advanced driver assistance technology that uses radar and cameras to automatically adjust your vehicle's speed based on traffic. It's an upgrade from traditional cruise control that only maintains a fixed speed. ACC slows down when it senses slower vehicles ahead, then speeds back up when the lane is clear. How does adaptive cruise control work? ACC uses sensors like radar and cameras to detect the speed of surrounding traffic. When it spots slower cars, ACC can slow your vehicle down by coasting or braking to keep a preset following distance. If those cars move or change lanes, ACC will smoothly accelerate you back up to your set speed. This provides more convenience and safety versus standard cruise control. What's the difference between adaptive cruise control and regular cruise control? Regular cruise control only works at higher speeds to maintain a steady preset speed. You have to brake manually when needed. ACC adds the ability to slow down and stop with traffic, resume your speed, and work at lower speeds. It aims to reduce fatigue on long drives by handling more of the speed adjustments for you. What vehicles offer adaptive cruise control? Friday: Geeking out on code, general tech updates, rocking kurta-jean and finance
The title tells it all. These books are also an update. Other than that, all work, very high intensity day. Invested in ACC Cements, Hindustan Unilever, Ashok Leyland and Khadim. 200 shares, each. Heavy load on my bank account, but hey? Lemme just show off a bit, here :D - My bank and also others are providing me with great business debt at low interest rates. Perks of an entrepreneur with a positive cash flow on the balance sheet. Why shouldn’t I brag? I started from literally ZERO! I was getting 14k a month at the psychologists office as an intern, followed by 28k at Norton where I stayed for 3 months before I went full on with my startup as I saw my E-Commerce stores doing pretty well. So, coming back to the point, I am making good use of good debt. Again allow me to show off, I also have an American Express credit card now, which is a corporate credit card issued for Dexa, that I use to purchase stocks, then make money on it and pay back the bank within 30 days, without any delays and then the banks love me, and ICICI and HDFC are calling me everyday, “sir please?”. Lol. Okay enough bragging.  Happy friday folks! Have fun!  Also, I am starting another E-commerce brand that I’ll reveal soon. Me and my team are figuring out how we can create the brand around the product and what markets to tap in. Let me share a nugget that might help you too: We study market data, analysis and reports from KPMG, Deloitte and McKinsey. I get some internal and very expensive reports for free, thanks to my bro-in-law who is now the Associate Managing Director for M&A (Merger’s and Acquisitions) who sends me these market reports frequently, when I need them. So most of them are free that you can also download from their official website, depending on the industries report you’re looking for.  And, ending note: I am rocking in my kurta-jean look!

The Window Tinting Statements
Make use of current location Window shade lessens the sunshine’s influence on a auto’s interior and dwellers. The color of windows is not had an effect on by motor vehicle illumination, the colour of a certain color home window is color-coded depending on to its corresponding place under evening and day lighting. All automobile illuminations require to be faded or transformed off. A gray or a vivid lighting that does not reflect adequate illumination to have colour reflected over and over an region makes a black line that ends up being darker. Unsafe ultraviolet rays have an much easier time going with crystal clear windows than colored ones, and sturdy lighting may hinder the sight of motorists and guests. A couple of individuals with hearing disability point out they would favor a lower-tech colored windscreen made of a challenging area that can be switched in. Even more regarding Brightest Technologies, Vision, Technology, Traffic Safety Traffic Safety Lightning and UV Saturation People with vision problems cannot find clearly when checking out lights coming from over or beneath. As a outcome, many drivers look in to darkening the home windows on their motor vehicles. The brand-new regulation demands it to take right into profile the possible risks for the vehicle. "There are a great deal of unexpected advantages coming from it, particularly at night, so it kind of creates the variation between a couple of opportunities and five," Wilson said. One of the safety considerations is that chauffeurs who steer at evening won't be mindful it's there certainly, making them extra very likely to steer at the velocity limit.

Tinted windows can easily assist avoid the harm and inconvenience accidentally induced by the sunshine. Research It Here has an crucial part to participate in in how we look at our future. Although there might be opportunity and day that it is possible to live, it must be produced clear that our future depends on our choices regarding this future. Permit us not miss the chance to create wise selections when it is our turn to select. Do you know what is your most crucial choice to create? Depending on where a vehicle driver lives, laws and rules will differ on the appropriate percentage of home window tint or obvious lightweight transmittance (VLT). If you prefer to use a solitary colour of reflectors, they will definitely vary (i.e. reddish, red, blue, yellow or environment-friendly or black – depending on maker's requirements). In some conditions, you must opt for a colour which is less reflective and the other much less reflective if it's in fact much less reflective. Low tint amounts, like 5%, are darker than high amounts, like 50%. Many chauffeurs, and even many proprietors of autos, are going to use black pigmentation different colors. With tint is no way to stay clear of accidents; while dark is much better than white, it will definitely still be a huge discomfort to the eye. I'd instead prevent the make use of of tint than the reddish side edge up. 5% on the edge front: Yes, you can perhaps obtain much better comfort coming from shade if you weren't as well mindful. Located upon where a person lives, the location a chauffeur can easily apply a color will likewise vary. For example, while reddish metropolitan areas supply a higher attention of cars and trucks in their streets, red-belt areas supply a great deal a lot less cars in their streets. When shading cars and trucks in your city the chauffeurs will definitely make use of far fewer colours rather of blue or environment-friendly or yellowish. What does the distinction between blue, green-and-yellow, yellow and olive green mean? Places allowed or disallowed consist of the frontal edge home windows, back edge windows, and windshields. In many states, the exception administers to autos not under the command of a licensed foreign buyer (HANDGUN). In addition to steering on walkways, vehicles with handicapped walkways should be on flat streets and easily accessible ramps. Under a lot of situations, a vehicle must be driving on a side road (highways, pavements, and bike trails). Give us a phone call or talk to us online to find out regarding the shades we have offered and where we can easily legally administer the window tint. We're consistently delighted to look for various tone of the very same shade or style. We really want to help you discover the best color for you! Listed here are a couple of choices we can easily give. We've made a checklist of different colors and types right here that might suit some folks. Are you looking at having your windows tinted? Here's what would receive you began along with a dark-colored display screen: Now, don't get me wrong, all the products that utilize tinting work merely fine, but at what expense? I presume it's worth it to add pigmentation options, but what if it's only as well much, or that you only just like it as well a lot? If that's the situation, you might wish to take into consideration producing a customized color.

there's definitely deeper political reasons to why Elon's doing what he is doing
But basically it's along the lines of: he's a very smart engineer and he thinks that qualifies him to run a social media business, but his social aptitude has always been extremely low.
He bought Twitter for WAY more than it was ever worth but he can't weasel out of the deal now.
He's basically trying to bring his radical approach to Twitter but he also fired all the important staff who knew the ins and outs of Twitter, who knew what worked and what didn't,, so yeah there are major concerns about account and data security since all the tech people running the show have jumped ship.
If you have a twitter account I suggest you enable 2FA!
Oh yes, he certainly does this for reasons, but well his means and methods to achieve them somehow... i don't know how to appropriately phrase them, but oh well it might as well be within his calculations? Something else might be achieved this way. We surely cannot know, but damn im i happy that don't have an acc and my head is drama free. Thanks for the tip either way!
