Hope this is okay to ask you about, please only answer if you feel able. I'm starting a new job that involves working with some kids that are nonverbal, I'm autistic but only sometimes struggle with verbal so I want to learn more and find other ways to communicate. I was wondering if you had any advice from personal experience?

well , hard really give just one good answer because that will depend on each person .

when nonverbal , often have problems with language in general , but even that is different for each . 

some might not have any problems understand same words that abled peers can understand ... but then might have problems express , which can make really hard sometimes to know how much understand . 

or , might have problem with understand pronouns , like how " you " is not always same person , and everyone is " i " until not . that could mean get confuse if learn about people in history for example , can not follow enough to remember who is who and who did what .

and while these not " part of " nonverbal inherently , often nonverbal alongside ( or because ) things like autism that can come with audio , visual , or in general sensory process problems , or intellectual disability that make just everything harder follow .

so not really , one answer to how can communicate , each will probably need something little different . 

but in general ? 

keep language at same age level , or little bit lower , and sentences not too long . do not shy from explain again in lower level , if anyone struggle . sometimes character stories also help for this .

give pauses when possible , especially new information or instruction . 

try make sure no one feel shame if have questions , need hear again , or need have text or picture guide rather than just say . most important have same information and instruction , even if different form .

language problems can make hard say what mean , even if have words map out nice on tablet , cards , or in big book . might want look at and learn about different AAC strategies , and PODD especially . PODD can give framework for questions to ask if not sure . not something that expect fully learn and bust out for every single kid , every single time , but learn how parents use PODD , and be observant to know where questions should start .

if not all kids nonverbal , try wait for anyone nonverbal to finish AAC message before listen and talk to anyone else , unless have that person's permission take someone else while write , or ( hopefully not happen ) is emergency situation that need immediate attention . ( know sometimes , kids not all make so easy . but still , try do best , so nonverbal kids not feel like will ignore to favour those who speak . )

I finally finished TC in OF era lol. And damn! What a turnaround for the actors in just 2 years. Like khaotung from that smol baby ( + he looks so tiny in front of podd, even though he is same height as first) to whatever ray is! And neo, from Nan he goes on to kiss 3 men in the trailer itself!!(someone needs to check if it a record or something)

Also, special mention to ciize and jan for the unhinged women they became in TWE. Ciize, that cute lil women as dom??

out of the 15 announced series, i am - to various degrees - interested in 10, which is a pretty solid amount!

i will definitely be watching:

we are! it's yet another uni drama, but you know what? i don't give a shit. i like me a uni drama. pondphuwin are definitely the mains, with satangwinny either being a secondary couple or also mains - it is not entirely clear from the trailer. my vote is always for marcpawin, who are playing a background couple here along with aouboom. so a very solid cast for me. incredible news.

my love mix-up! i adore kieta hatsukoi, i adore fourth, i adore gemini. feels like a recipe for success to me.

wandee goodday! a bl about actual fucking adults? wow. sign me up right away please. i am not familiar with the main actors, but thor is a part of a secondary couple, and podd is also there, so that's great.

my golden blood! GAWIN as a main character? gawin with JOSS? joss is a VAMPIRE? i want it NOW. like TODAY. exciting af!

pluto! seems like a very dramatic gl with many twists and turns, i am also very excited.

the other five series i am unsure of, for different reasons:

ossan's love th. it's actually likely i will end up watching it, but i (shock horror) haven't actually seen ossan's love, and i feel like i can't say that i will or will not be watching it with as much certainty as those who have seen the original. i will definitely get to it at some point soon though. if i like the original, i'll watch the thai version too.

the trainee. at the moment, i don't feel necessarily excited for this series, so whether i watch it or not will depend on either me having enough free time when it will be coming out to just kind of casually enjoy it, or people really raving about it while it's already coming out and me deciding to spend time on it because of that.

kidnap. pretty much the same exact situation as the trainee. did not grip my attention that much, but we will see if that changes. there is, of course, also the chance that the real trailers for either of the two will change my mind. mock trailers can be a bit clumsy sometimes.

only boo. it did not particularly intrigue me and - unlike the trainee and kidnap - the leads cannot recommend me the series just by virtue of being themselves, because i don't know them. so i am even less inclined than i am with the trainee, knowing how great offgun's chemistry is, and kidnap, because... well, ohm. if something convinces me to watch this - i will. otherwise, it's a pass.

high school frenemy. is it deep platonic love or do they want to stick their tongues down each other's throats? the second i know for sure, the decision will be made. in which direction, i'm sure you can imagine.

some random thoughts:

leads of the series that are coming out right now are clearly taking a little break after this (some of them do have prior comittments for series that haven't come out yet, but from what i remember - it is all secondary/background roles). this makes sense, especially because this is just part 1 of the announcement. so, i'm waiting for whatever news we will get from neo, mark, first, khaotung, force, book, perth, and chimon later.

considering the previous point, i can only Really be mad about the noticeable lack of fluke pusit. my man is clearly in the basement. oh, and aj and jj, who are only playing a background role in one of the series. there is actually a fucking series, where the characters are twins, and they cast ONE GUY to play BOTH, when they have literal fucking twins in their casting pool. wild.

my one real complaint is that i'm getting marcpawin crumbs once again. and i don't mean to anger the gods, because crumbs are better than nothing, but when am i going to fucking get the full loaf of bread? i deserve it. they deserve it. p l e a s e. generally, they seem to still be reluctant about giving current secondary couples the main stage, because satangwinny are either mains along with pondphuwin, or potentially even secondary to them in the drama. let them shine on their own please :(

TMNT Headcanon time (2012) ☺️

Mikey: Autistic and ADHD. Stims constantly. Always moving. Rocking, flapping, wiggling his fingers and toes, chewing on things, food. Hoards thing he loves and nests. Trans, genderqueer trans boy, (oriented?) aroace, complicated relationship with gender and orientation. Part time mobility aid user (I have seen this boy hit so many walls and I'm only ten episodes in. He has to have chronic pain 😅 also what kind of effects could the mutagen have? Getting turned from a turtle to a turtle person has to have lasting effects lol. He sometimes uses his forearm crutches on patrol and always wears afos but his other mobility aids are mostly for at home use. CVI (this is projection but I am blind and i'm rubbing my grubby disabled paws all over this character lol. And I always see blind Leo. So my headcanon is blind Mikey. Because mutagen). He has trouble with his brain processing what he is looking at. He has trouble with depth perception, identifying objects (especially unfamiliar ones), takes him time to id objects, clumsy because his lower visual field isn't great, trips over things on the floor and runs into walls because he can't see them, but he's really good at compensating for it so sometimes he even forgets he's blind. Uses a white cane sometimes, mostly in new places (it's a super cool folding one Donnie made him in his favorite colors). Mikey loves bright colors because they are easier for him to see. (he's not totally blind. And his vision fluctuates depending on a number of factors).

Apraxic. Situationally mute. Mostly nonverbal, makes a lot of noises but doesn't really have understandable self generated speech anymore. Can repeat things he's heard before but it's not 100% under his control. Every so often he can ramble like he used to, but he has to be not stressed and comfortable. Aphasia. Sometimes wrong words come out if he can talk or they come out wrong (wrong order, slurred, gibberish). Closest thing to words that come out of his mouth are sounds that sound like words to people who know him.

Multimodel communicator. He has a speech generating device that Donnie built him and it sounds like his body voice or he can choose what it sounds like. Has a fuck ton of different apps and vocabularies. He really likes PODD and LAMP because of how they are arranged. He also has low tech AAC (his favorite is his custom one page opening PODD book that Donnie somehow made bullet proof??? and totally waterproof. Mikey doesn't get how it works but he's glad it does because he has dropped it in some gross stuff 😅 but he can just rinse it off and go about his day. Fucker has literally used it as a shield against the Kraang's blaster fire, not a dent to be seen. All the turtles know the signals Leo uses during patrols but they also use a ASL modified for their three fingers. And he loves picture cards. He'll be hanging out with his brothers and just hand one of them a no card to be obstinant. His fuck you (playful) card is his second favorite. His picture cards stay at home because they are easy to lose because small and hard to transport because it's several thousand 1.5 in square cards with velcro on the backs. He does have a small binder with a few in it for patrols, just in case.

Dyslexic and has a hard time reading print between that and his vision. Needs enlarged print, a magnifier, or braille for reading.

He has some sort of hearing impairment /might be deaf but he doesn't know what's going on exactly. He just knows he has a hard time understanding speech especially if there is a lot of background noise. And he can't hear well while he is actively focused on seeing (CVI).

More about gender. He's a trans boy bu he's also a demigirl. He's bigender. But he prefers masc pronouns. Or neopronouns.

He loves food. And he's also kind of a walking hazard to himself (clumsy much) so his brothers prefer he be supervised while cooking.

He's 5" even and the shortest of all of them.

He sticker bombs everything he can get his chronically grubby little hands on.

Chronic migraines and photosensitivity. He has a special mask ge keeps on him that doesn't have eye holes and is made out of light blocking materials so if he gets overwhelmed by the light he can just put it on and rely on his other senses. His ability to fight without thinking really comes in handy for this.

He is really fast with his forearm crutches because they make him more stable.

GMMTV2024 Hopes + Predictions

Predictions:

It's clear that G4 is becoming GMMTV's new BW since ON didn't work out. They will definitely have more concerts, and their ship is too lucrative for GMMTV to NOT give them a series. If they do get another one, I definitely think it'll be another school-based series. One thing is for sure though, they will be working like crazy next year.

While we're on the topic, Gemini might just get his het drama. I think we could even see him star in one of GMMTV's classic ensemble het shows or even a non-romance series. If he gets one, they'll definitely try to make it a non-threatening pair (knowing Thai entertainment it could be a slight age difference pairing).

Possibly another MSP special episode, second season or movie. This is one of my most far-fetched predictions but there's something about how G4 pulled out of 23.5 and Mark pulled out of Cooking Crush that gives me the vibe that they want to have another season of MSP possibly giving more screentime to the TiwPor couple.

There will be another The Warp Effect/Friendzone-esque drama that will introduce a BL pair we never knew we wanted. Maybe Lee Thanat X other seasoned GMMTV actor..

If MilkLove shows promise, ViewJune will get a GL.

Hot take but I think we'll get another PerthChimon-led series. GMMTV DUMPED budget into them and, barring a disaster, I can't see them fading the same way ON did.

We will continue to see JoongDunk have international fanmeets, concerts, etc. I can even see GMMTV focusing less on making a good series for them and more on selling tickets and merch.

OffGun will not have a series next year.

I have no basis for this prediction but I feel like either Tay, Off, or Perth will get a movie. (watch me be wrong lol).

One of the babies will get their first puppy love BL, probably near direct knock-offs of either Bad Buddy or MSP, since those were massively successful. My bet is on Indy or Ohm (not a baby but we move) leading. Chokun or Java could be a second lead/part of the second couple.

A GMMTV basement dweller (e.g., Podd, Pleum Pongpisal, etc.) will have their 2023 Gawin moment and resurrect their BL career with a more established, yet unpaired GMMTV actor.

To put a cap on it, I predict there will be a similar amount of BLs as there were last year (9 +/-2), another QL ensemble series (like The Warp Effect), and another GL (likely led by View OR Jan + [insert girl here]).

NEOMARK SERIES. Idgaf what it is, hell it can be these two watching paint dry for 45 minutes every friday, just don't fumble this highly lucrative bag @.GMMTV!!

Another TayNew series, please. I know Cherry Magic hasn't even aired yet and I sound greedy but bitch these two are killing me lately.

Stop casting Pawin in literally every BL if he's only going to be a villainous side character lmao. It takes me out of the story instantly when I see him plotting in the background in every show.

GIVE AJ A BL. Bring back Fiat if you can and let that ship SAIL.

JoongDunk and ForceBook need breaks...shake these pairs up. Give Joong het roles, let Force kiss other men, enroll Dunk and Book in improv! They already have all these concerts and reality shows, let them do that for awhile before filling your entire lineup with just these 4 pairings.

I wanna give my 2 cents for the GMMTV 2023 trailer lineup, going in the order they where presented in the live event and with no BL/GL, Lakorn division all together baby

So let's start:

Enigma: I am sucker for cursed schools/supernatural shows, not a big horror fan tho so if the show is able to balance the horror theme I'll be able to enjoy it, as for cast I really like Prim tho with Win I still have some reserves but considering that he is playing a completely different character here I am more open to him, tho I have to add if he is actually a teacher it means he is a lot older than Fa so if there is a romance I won't like it please no teacher/student relationship

A Boss and a Babe: the title is trash, the show semes the basic office drama with the e-sports and youtuber spinn that does not speak much with me, Force and Book have good chemistry but not very exited for this one, tho I hope this is better than Enchante sorry but that show is not great

Find Yourself: I like "noona romances" where the woman is older it's nice when they show that older women can attract younger man, tho romance based lakorn usually bore me, we have Earth and Podd here wich is a plus but I will have to see the show to be able to judje it, I already had a trailer appear good to have the show be not so much

Double Savage: After Not Me series that have crime as a plot spark my interest, and tho I basically understood nothing of the conflict other than a girl was involved, I liked Ohm's and Perth's performance in it, tho Foei being part of it after SH4 let's say he is not on my faves list to say the least

Hidden Agenda: classic university set BL with a plot that seems the mix of 2gether and SIYH(hope it is better cuz this show was not it) tho it intrigues me more than the previous 2, I onestly like Joong and Dunk I think they have potential and I also really like the rest of the cast so I will toon in for this one

23.5:...THIS!!! first GMMTV GL with Milk and Love! I am so exited for this, it also looks so genuenly cute and sweet and they look adorable, tho I would have loved to have another 2 girls as a 2nd couple Gemini and Fourth are indid cute, one of the series I am most exited about

The one with the Thai name: ok onestly this look like a bore fest, also Neo as second lead sindrome?NO😭... tho I will try it cuz this who I am, I have to watch at least the first 3 episodes to make an opinion It could surprise me

Cooking Crush: another one I am EXITED for, first of all OffGun wich is a surprise for real, Neo in general BUT specifically Neo and Gun in a show together, it's a show about cooking and I really enjoy this type of stories, also happy to see Neo and Mark in a very differnt setting compared to OF and as a side couple I am genuinly exited for them and this show

Wednesday Club: ok this is messy, and I don't really understand the plot, all I get is that they are all middle children that started hanging out after 2 almost got arrested, they are supposed friends, and they have rules for theire friendship, I like it tho, I usually really like choral shows from GMMTV, some of theire best lakorns to me are the ones with a lot of protagonists, like 55:15 or P.S. I Hate You, also I really like almost all of the actors in this

Last Twilight: Ok this I'm exited for, I like stories that talk about disabilities, also it is directed by P'Aof wich we know is a verh talented director, also I like Jimmy and Sea they have a sort of confort that fit this typo of stories, I feel like I am really gonna like this differntly to Vice Versa wich disappointed me, also Mark is here!

Loneliness Society: this look estetically good but it feels kinda like your classic romance lakorn, I know it's a remake i have not watched the original one, still like the other ones I will try and watch at least the first 3 episodes when it airs

Only Friends: Ok I literally rewatched the trailer like 20, if not more, times the trailer and saying that I am obsessed is reductive, this is the highlight of 2023 for me and I trust P'Jojo to make a good show, and also all the boys already outdid themselves in just the trailer and First Khaotung and Neo are some of my favourite and this I think is the right project to show Force Book and Marks abilities

Faceless Love: I have the confirmation that straight romances don't really spark my interest😅 seriusly this seems really boring to me sorry but all the het romances does, cuz it always the same story basically, it is only spyced up in the havier dramas wich I like... same 3 episode rule

Dangerous Romance: ok I like this, it has very cool tropes like rich×poor, enemies to lovers, class conflict drama, the whole situation with the brother, the story is cool and has the right amount of angst, the acting is very good by the trailer(expected from this 2) I am still a bit pissed at both of them, Perth more considering the LBC incident, but I wanna give this show a try cuz the plot is what I am interested about, also this 2 seems to have good chemistry, also my boys Pawin an Papang and my girl View are here so it's a plus

Jungle: Oh for fuck sake why is there no english subtitles!!! and I don't speak any of the subs languages!!! Ok so they are all playboys and all know each other? Mix is a bartender and a hunter? I have no idea what the plot is only that it's a big messy one... until we get subtitles I will just go by visuals and they look amazing, also Mix and Nanon in the same show!!! also Pat my Wife!

Cherry Magic 30: we have no trailer and considering that I still have to watch the og I will refrain from expressing any opinion NEXT!

Midnight Museum: Oh this is intriguing! a victorian inspired supernatural/horror set in a cursed? museum with maybe unded creatures it is speaking to my supernatural/fantasy/heart with GUN? and Ploy and Namtam? like sign me up!

Our Skyy 2: special episodes of some of our favourite couples from BL? YES PLEASE! I am exited for AkkAye, PatPran, PhupaTian the most, depending on NLMG I will see about PondPhuwin(happy they didn't chose FUTS) the others I will watch but are less interesting to me

Beauty Newbie: Not the webtoon collaboration😅 that made me laugh not donna lie it was so unexpected, and I even know it was based on a webtoon! still this is really similar to True Beauty, also Win playing Win again... this stories based on makeup, surgery beauty that try to give a lesson on "real beauty" with only pretty actors are not my thing I will probably not watch this, wich saddens me cuz I really like Fha and this is her only project

the last one is the Bright movie but since we will probably never see it I'll skip it

I'm a genderqueer autigender trans man. My pronouns are he/him. I'm also okay with Fae/Fae. I'm deafblind, autistic, have EDS, fibromyalgia, apraxia/dyspraxia, aphasia and suspected Cerebral Palsy.

I use a white cane, a walker (rollator), forearm crutches, and a wheelchair. I use my walker most, especially at home. I'm also working on learning to use my white cane with my crutches, it's just slow.

I'm a mostly nonverbal/unreliably speaking and a full time AAC user and I use a communication device (Proloquo, Touchchat with WordPower, Proloquo2go, LAMP words for life, and PODD in TD Snap), picture cards, communication cards, communication boards, some ASL, noises, gestures, and soon a 20 per page PODD book.

Thank you for mentioning my baby podd. He also had a show about cooking I think but not produced by gmm. They essentially have shows like this and rarely include artists that would actually be a good fit ugh

Yes!! It pisses me off. Like clearly they wanted their A team on this and it’s probably more entertaining if they don’t know what they’re doing, but would it’ve hurt to have at least one person who knows how to cook? Pond said he’d never even chopped a vegetable before!

Maybe it’s because I had to take some restaurant management classes in college, but this whole show is just like my worst nightmare come to life and you can see the divide between the people who understand that and the people who don’t. For instance, Earth seems to have just enough cooking knowledge to realize he is 100% unqualified for this (probably all those chicken rice classes he had to take for MLC), but everyone else is way too blasé.

I personally find it sexy when people do things they’re competent at and the fact that they passed on Podd, a literal chef with a degree in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management, is insane to me. Like tell me y’all weren’t taking this seriously without telling me 🙃
