Here’s a bit of an intro to the Links in this au!!

Feel free to shoot me an ask if you have any questions or wanna know more about any of them :)

Warriors (Hero of Warriors)

- He/Him, Asexual Biromantic

- 27 years old

- Games: Hyrule Warriors

- Good friends with his Zelda

- Not a real blond, dyes his hair regularly to keep up the appearance that he is. He has no one fooled

- Absolutely fantastic at doing eyeliner, everyone’s jealous

- Knows Mask and Tune from the War of Eras

- Natural born leader, acts a bit over the top to cover up insecurities

- Bad food anxiety from being poisoned a lot but he’s doing his best

Tears (Hero of the Wild)

- He/They, Bisexual

- 24 years old (124 years old)

- Games: Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom

- Married to their Zelda (recently)

- Rebuilding Hyrule slowly after everything that’s happened

- Missing an arm, wears a prosthetic. Has startled several of the others by just removing it at random because they forget it’s a prosthetic sometimes

- Very friendly, selectively mute so they use sign to talk sometimes

Wolf/Twilight (Hero of Twilight)

- Currently stuck in wolf form so Tears just calls him Wolf because no one knows he’s a hylian, they just think he’s a really odd wolf. Will eventually be called Twilight once he can turn back into a hylian

- He/Him, Bisexual

- 24 years old

- Games: Twilight Princess

- Assisted Tears on their first journey when Tears was 17-18 and Wolf/Twilight was 23. He has been stuck as a wolf ever since

- Lives with Rusl and Uli, but has been missing for a whole year

- Quiet and anxious, incredibly loyal

Sky (Hero of the Skies)

- He/Him, Bisexual

- 22 years old

- Games: Skyward Sword

- Chronic pain, lightning scars (look up lichtenberg figure), tattoo of wings that wrap around his wrist in honor of his loftwing

- Plays his harp as a way to relax

- Very friendly and talkative. Good person to go to if you need a chat

Tune (Hero of the Winds)

- He/Him, Pansexual

- 19 years old

- Games: Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass

- Didn’t loose his eye, he just wears and eyepatch “for the aesthetic” (that’s his answer when people ask him why he wears it) but also so one of his eyes is always adjusted to being able to see in the dark so if he has to go below deck quickly for an emergency one of his eyes is well adjusted and he isn’t disoriented. His right eye is also extremely sensitive to light and the patch protects it

- Wears dark eyeliner under his eyes

- Curly, shoulder length hair that he ties up and has several small braids weaved into

- Knows Warriors and Mask from the War of Eras

- Very talkative, misses his boat

Hyrule (Hero of Hyrule)

- He/Him, Aro/Ace

- 18 years old

- Games: The Legend of Zelda, Adventure of Link

- Pretends to be a lot more shy and quiet than he really is

- Loves people but is very cautious around them

- Looks a bit frail because his clothes are a bit big for him, but is actually quite strong. He is not someone who should be underestimated

Past (Hero of Legend?)

- He/They, Pansexual

- 18 years old

- Games: A Link to the Past, A Link Between Worlds, Link’s Awakening, Edit: And the Oracles games

- Dyed Pink hair, has the longest hair of the whole group

- Happily lives with Ravio

- Loves apples

- Has a rabbit form he can shift into to squeeze into tight spaces

- Friendly but cautious, isn’t the most trusting

Calamity (Hero of the Calamity)

- He/Him/They/Them (usually prefers He/Him), Bisexual

- 18 years old

- Game: Age of Calamity

- Mute, doesn’t speak at all, only uses sign

- Doesn’t trust Tears at all, in fact at first Tears makes him extremely uncomfortable. Calamity makes Tears sad because they’re reminded of all the trauma the both of them went through, but Tears recognizes they’re two different people

- Looks up to Warriors a lot

- Very facially expressive

Mask (Hero of Time Masks)

- He/Him, Bisexual

- 17 years old (physically)

- Games: Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask

- Refuses to tell anyone his mental age, that’s between him and Hylia

- No one knows he is the Hero of Time, he’s scared to admit it because the others hold the Hero of Time up on a pedestal and he’s scared they’ll be disappointed to realize it’s him

- Has the Fierce Deity markings on one side of his face and one of his eyes is completely white but he can see out of both of them.

- Shy, quiet, reserved and mistrustful. Extreme abandonment issues have left him to expect everyone will leave. He only trusts Warriors and Tune, it takes him quite a long time to warm up to the others

Spirit (Spirit Tracks Link)

- He/Him, bisexual

- 16 years old

- Games: Spirit Tracks

- Friend of the birds

- Sees spirits and talks with them occasionally

- Absolute gremlin

Minish (Hero of the Four Sword)

- He/Him, straight

- 15 years old

- Games: Four Swords, Minish Cap

- Selectively mute, uses sign sometimes to communicate

- Very sweet, a little shy at first but quickly warms up to the others

- Misses his grandpa very much

- He and his Zelda are childhood friends

Hee hoo @linked-through-the-centuries fan art. Saw Past’s outfit and I knew what must be done. I did add a few flourishes, since Jes said that they had a lot of jewelry and a cane. I’m putting my thoughts on these things under the cut, as well as Past without the jewelry and extra little embroidery.

I got inspired by the Cane of Somaria and Byrna, which are red and blue respectively, so naturally I had to give him a green cane that resembles those canes. Although it’s much taller than those and has thorns(?) that can act as handholds. I think. Idk I just thought it looked cool tbh. I tried to make it fancy but stuff like that isn’t really my strong suit. I was able to match the crystals on the cane with Past’s earrings though, so that’s a win. I did try to make it look magical but not have any real magic, and adding a big ol’ Pendant of Courage fits well enough in my eyes, since although it helps unlock the Master Sword, it doesn’t seem to have any magic of its own.

Now onto the jewelry! The earrings are made to match the cane and such, and the triangle necklace looks like the triforce! It also has silver tassels(I think that’s the right word)on the chain because I like it. Lastly, the pink pendant! I based it on the gem that’s on the Tri Suit from Triforce Heroes, because I love that game. Also, it’s pink, it fits.

I also think I should’ve redrawn the hair, but it looks good enough.

So I just finished Staged 3 and I really liked it. What's so funny to me though is that people like Simon Evans and Neil Gaiman (who aren't even actors) are far more convincing than AL who actually went to drama school but still cannot do more than a handful of expressions and is constantly overacting the shit out of everything. She's a terrible actress and she only gets roles in stuff Michael is in.

Hi, Anons! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on AL’s performance in Staged 3 with me.

Anon #1: In the interest of fairness, I will say that I did think AL’s acting was slightly less wooden in series 3, as compared to the previous ones. I do agree, though, that she was still not convincing--as herself, somehow--and still overacted her lines. I couldn’t tell if she was just reading the lines and not imbuing them with any emotion, or if she was and that was just the extent of her emotional range.

What was curious, though, was what you mentioned, Anon #2, which is that there was a noticeable shift in the amount of screen time this season. Georgia became a much more prominent character than in seasons past and was central to the plot, whereas Anna...was not. Whether or not this was due to Simon’s (supposed) inability to write women, she definitely did seem to be on screen less, and all but disappeared in the scenes with Michael and David the minute they were together.

(I also found it curious that Georgia, being a producer on the show, didn’t lobby for AL to have more screen time, especially given that we know Georgia has made changes to the script in previous seasons. I do think there were other factors at play, particularly given that Georgia dyed her hair just in time for S3, in what I suspect was an effort to differentiate herself from AL, as there were so many comments after the first two seasons about people not being able to tell them apart.)  

The other thing is, it’s not about AL not having a lot of lines, because a talented actor can make a big impression even with just a few lines. It’s that she failed to make an impression with any of the lines she did have, which then made it more noticeable how few there were. The cumulative effect of AL’s lack of stage presence combined with less screen time seemed like an effort to draw attention away from the fact that they weren’t using her as much in this season, but instead it achieved the opposite.

Again, I just can’t help thinking that if she wanted to be noticed, the last two people on Earth she should be on screen with are Michael and David. Even looking at this picture, the “pull” between them is palpable, while AL fades into the background...

...So many choices. But for the most part, those are my thoughts on AL’s performance in Staged 3 (save for a few others that I will share in upcoming posts). Thanks for writing in, Anons! x

[About this and all the other times AL tried to imitate the ABBA's blonde singer.] We've well understood she's a proud ABBA's fan, her haircut is inspired to Agnetha, as well as the look of her character in LTTC and she also did a little lucky ballet wearing a typical 70's dress for the past Eurovision song contest (won by Sweden). ABBA are an icon of her country, so not surprising. But I think you are completely right. Obviously, she's not the first aspiring actress who borrows a famous star's persona to grab the attention in the showbiz, but it's worrying that after four years she's still stuck with these tricks. She seems to have learnt almost nothing, although she's living with a pro actor.

All that she's done is thanks to MS (her best successful IG posts are about him). But she's not even able to promote her (few) works. She looks like a bad GT copycat. Sad selfies, boring pictures, embarassing childish humor, blurred screenshots, reposted stories, the same topics (Staged, GO) repeated endlessly. She just interacts with those who praise her and just if the person can give her more visibility (GT, NG, Simon Evans, etc), she uses kids to catch compliments. And now each post seems carefully planned to catch the momentum in an opportunistic way. No spontaneity, no creativity. Her recent best and finest idea to sell herself for a job was a "professional-sexy" photoshoot with red parted lips, blond long hair, sensual dresses, deep cleavage and spread legs. Really an avant-garde touch. And maybe her best skills at the moment.

I have seriously thought about just rescheduling my doctor's appointment tomorrow since there isn't really a rush now. For one it's at 8:30 in the morning, which means I'll probably have to get up around 6:30 in order to get around and leave in time to get there. My sleeping schedule is never right but lately I haven't even been able to fall asleep until like 4 a.m. at the earliest so yeah, getting to sleep tonight will be fun.

And then there is a little issue that I have avoided doctors like the plague when i can every since the disaster that was my health last year. I had a lot of really terrible experiences concerning the medical community so going back to any doctor, no matter how much I liked them the last time I saw them, is now terrifying. I am already dreading the questions I am sure to get over my medical history the past year not to mention I am sure that some of my history is filled with lies seeing that the family doctor I fired was an absolute psycho. I learned a super important lesson about white male doctors. It's fine if other people don't have an issue with them, but you will never find me willingly employing one in my health care again.

But a bigger part of me knows that I need to just do it, to quit avoiding it. I'm only reinforcing my fears and anxieties by avoiding it as long as I can. To be honest I dreaded having to call the office in dealing with what came next after the first failed Clomid cycle more than I feared the Clomid not working.

Honestly now I'm kind of in the mindset of wishing I would have waited to try Clomid at all. I don't know, I go back and forth on it. I mean if it's going to be prescribed to me again I will take it, but I also feel like if it didn't work in its prescribed amount of time then I would still not rush into anything new right away.

I keep thinking of my husband's words, that we just started trying. And in so many ways he is right. We've never really had the ability to try like this before.

It's just that it feels like we've been trying forever lol and there's a reason for that. Before we were even married I always just hoped that it would happen, you know a happy accident. Sometimes without his knowledge I would even obsess about it a little bit, like just really hoping that it would happen. I would dream about our child together, think about where I would put the nursery in every new place we moved in together, that kind of shit. But as the doctors told us, during that time liver disease was still doing its work on his fertility and also my PCOS symptoms were at their worst in these early years. Typical cycles would last 100 days or more.

Then I went through phases where I was absolutely positively thrilled that we had not had kids yet, and even a couple of years where I could not fathom having children yet. Like I was so glad I didn't have any and I didn't want any at that point in time. Not like in a I never want children kind of way, just in a I'm glad I can live my life the way I want with no one else depending on me kind of way.

Then after that we started talking about having kids for real. Like both of us being on board for it and really giving it a try. That was around the time that I started this blog, maybe a year before. And our efforts that we did have were in vain because we didn't know it yet, but liver disease had already wrecked hell on his sperm, and then of course we found out about the liver disease.

There were course then the vain attempts to conceive a child in some format with the whole IUI thing, which looking back I am able to accept as a very poor decision on my behalf. None of us were in our right Minds at that time, we were just desperately trying to achieve our dreams in the face of death, in the face of time running out.

And then there was his transplant, his recovery and by the time he was recovered and we want try this again there was my CMV and all the health issues that accompanied it. Even if I hadn't reacted so violently to the virus, CMV kills babies, CMV disables babies, it would not have been a smart thing at all to get pregnant anywhere near the timeframe I contracted the virus. I would still be on the same time frame, about a year after contracting the virus.

So he's right, we never have truly gotten to try like normal people who, pardon my bluntness, fuck a lot. And he's excited about getting to make up for all that time we missed actually getting to try LOL

And I should be too. It's just letting go of all of the past. That's what needs to be done, everything about the past needs to be left there.
