I read a lot of fanfic! I think I have over 3k+ bookmarks on AO3 now bc I like to keep them in case I ever want to reread fics.

For a recent fic... I've been following I'd Lie by LuciThornz for a good while now. It's really good! Oh, also Playing House by WordsOfLera, the writing is super fun.

For a not-so-recent fic, I love Lucid by Kaiitoka, just absolutely divine! xdnf fics will always have a place in my heart

hey! i don't recognize LucidKat? i mean, besides the ex dteam artist from twitter 😭 was there also an author with that name? or maybe you mean LuciThornz? if so, they didn't delete any fics, they made them anonymous. if you need help finding those, i can definitely do that!

as for "risky" fics i'm not quite sure what you mean. i don't have an issue with any preferences you might have. this is a safe space and i won't judge you at all for your specific requests and i hope everyone does the same as well 🫶🏻

Summary

The 2024 Formula 1 season starts off amazing! Charles wins the first race of the season and might have a competitive car.

But when the FIA bans heat suppressants for Formula 1 drivers Charles has limited options for how he wants to handle his heat just a week before one of the most important races of the season. When his lifelong rival Max offers to help him, against his better judgment, Charles agrees.

Unfortunately Charles and Max didn't realize how much their past would affect an arrangement like that, and their relationship quickly gets as messy as the 2024 Formula 1 season.

Told in dual POV from Charles and Max's perspectives. Settle in this one's gonna take a while.

This is going to be a longfic, so settle in for lots of lestappen not being normal about each other, canon typical F1 nonsense, and lots of spicy angst!

Summary

There was a rule, in Formula 1, created as part of a diversity initiative to help support omegas in the sport. Any omega on the grid could get rid of a penalty if they fucked the driver they’d hit to earn the penalty.

The actual wording wasn’t so vulgar.

12.3.3.b: Omega competitors may file form 24-D to overturn a penalty. This is considered a special appeal, wherein an omega competitor may offer their unique talents to the alpha deemed the faultless party in the penalized incident. Form 24-D cannot be used to overturn stop-and-go penalties, and is not applicable to violations of appendix C or S. It is at the discretion of the alpha competitor if they accept such an offer. Form 24-D with the signature of the alpha must be filed within 48 hours of the issued penalty. Up to 20 seconds and 5 grid places may be eliminated this way per round.

They might as well have just said fuck your way out of a penalty.

When Charles survives what should have been a fatal crash he retires. No explanations, no warning. And Max doesn't understand it, how Charles could just change overnight and cut ties with everything he cared about.

When Max returns to Monaco for winter break he finds out why Charles left. After multiple attempts to get Charles to talk to him about what happened Charles finally gives Max the truth. And the truth is far darker than Max bargained for.

But underneath it all Charles really hasn't changed as much as he'd tried to make the world believe.

Winter break ends up filled with questions of “what if” as Charles tries to get over that one night while he watches Max seemingly move on quite easily.

But moving on isn't simple for either one of them. And the start of the 2024 season changes everything.

One Fated Thread Rated E for explicit sexual content. Read the tags, this is horror but it's pretty mild in terms of horror. As in, the romantic elements almost killed the horror elements.

George is walking home one night like he always does when he bumps into a stranger in the park. It was just a touch, but the next thing he knows he's waking up in a place that doesn't feel real stuck with a very pissed off monster.

Dream is hunting for souls to feed on when he goes after George. A touch is all it takes for him to take a soul. But when he touches this particular human a different bond is formed. One Dream can't control.

Or what happens when your soulmate ends up being a soul-eating monster?

I am writing a canon divergent project for the whole series, so if some canon details are off in this I apologize, I am dangerously close to not knowing what's canon anymore.

Hopefully I'm not the only one who needed some actual grief scenes after the major sacrifice in the book??? Like that timeskip did us all dirty.

Aurelian Cycle Power/Annie series

Blinded by the Light is my retelling of the Aurelian Cycle from Power's POV, delving into the possibilities of the Power/Annie ship. I became obsessed with these two as a pairing after Flamefall, and after the way the series ended . . . well let's just say my man got done dirty.

Rivals to lovers, angsty dragons, and plenty of politics. Rated M for canon typical violence, language, and implied sexual content.

Part 1 Brilliant Disguise: Full retelling of Fireborne, and is entirely Power's POV, and is extremely canon compliant(a few deviations, and creative liberties are taken, and a few OC's for plot reasons and to round out the cast).

Part 2 No surrender: Full retelling of Flamefall. This is where the canon divergence really kicks in, the plot stays the same but relationships go in different directions. Addition POV's added as well including Griff flashbacks, Delo's POV, and Ixion's POV(just roll with it).

Part 3 TBD: This will be launching into retelling Furysong, and will most certainly have the most canon divergence in terms of plot

Anyway, check it out if you want to see things from some different character's POV's and are interested to see how some relationships could have gone if things were just a little different.
