Stalker: "Sex dates?" *starts to sweat.* He looks around the deserted street, asking himself if this is the right moment to grab you.

Reader: *sighs deeply* "I got the bags with me for a reason," you point at the duffle bags slung over your shoulder. "Now, chop-chop and kidnap me! I want to see your home!"

Okay so I'm kinda pissed at normal backpacks. Like sure they're fine to take stuff with you but they're horrible for your shoulders and neck because you carry all the weight at your shoulders. And like literally any hiking backpack of any value has hip supports. If you wear them correctly you distribute the weight over your entire upper body and of course mainly your hips. They're massive sometimes but like they're fucking easier to carry than any normal backpack I've had. WHY don't we have hip supports on normal backpacks??

let me tell you about how much i hate this specific cake.

This thing is fucking everywhere. you can buy the decoration kit at stores. if you look up “unicorn cake” this is all you see. you can see this exact same cookie cutter style for pumpkins too

i cannot express to you how much i hate this stupid fucking design. it’s so boring and ugly. Putting a horn and flowers on something does not make it a unicorn!!

And it has fucking MASCARA. it’s that reductive “girls have eyelashes boys don’t” character design that i am so so so so tired of. Because honestly that’s what it boils down to! unicorns are a “girl thing” so they’re reduced to the same easy bite-sized concept and never expanded on.

Cause see like, if this was just one kind of a unicorn cake, and there were others, i’d still find this one annoyingly saccharine, but i wouldn’t be so mad. because this is ALL THERE IS.

look at this google search image! over 60% of them are the same eyes closed cylinder with rainbow flowers and a gold horn. The few that are different are still in the exact same palette, white and pastel rainbows. One of them is even doing that thing i hate most of all when it comes to today’s depiction of unicorns: rainbow barfing. ugh.

Meanwhile, look at the search page for dragon cakes.

look at this VARIETY! sure some of them are stupid and silly looking, and some are doing that “cylinder with eyes” thing that i think is lame, but there are some really neat ones here! Look at that one laying on the book! The plain sheet cake with a dragon leaping out of the clouds across the top!! you get the gamut of silly, cute, AND cool options.

But unicorns? you just get the cutesy froufrou version.

Is it so much to ask for like, a COOL unicorn cake option? Like something like that bottom right one of the dragon, just a plain sheet cake, but with some decorations, making a little forest and a waterfall, and a unicorn peering out through the trees. Hell even a screen printing of a screencap from the last unicorn would be nice to see. just SOMETHING.

I know I complain about this all the time but it’s because i love unicorns so much! they were my childhood special interest and I still adore them, i still love the aesthetic and the various lores surrounding them, and I’m so sad that it seems like the world just collectively decided not to really dig any deeper into the shallow modern interpretation we have today. If there was a greater variety of options other than the froufrou rainbow pooping cupcake eating creatures, I wouldn’t resent them so much. but they just. don’t give you many other options.

anyway. rant over! hopefully one day i’ll see cool unicorn stuff again.

You guys should be lucky that you have a reason to even wake up, for me life feels like a loop of walking ip, going to school going home, getting yelled at to do my homework, and eat and sleep.

What makes it worse is my ADHD. I constantly get adhd shutdowns and burnouts which makes me just dissociate completely. I am unable to cry physically because of this.

Like why is it that with the Illyrian woman it was just her side story about how she overcome her pain and abuse then oh wow she now have friends and jokes around and fight and wins a rite so that means she's basically cured of it now, at least "good"enough and healthy and her trauma is on the past (nevermind a part of her body is literally marked forever)

And then with Lucien we are STILL asked from that side that we should care about every single minute of suffering he has no matter how long ago it happened. That he's forgiven of any abuse-enabling and unprotection of women he mets cause the guy –a 400+something fae I might add– has been thought the absolute pits of hell and all sins have their reason so he's free of criticism compared to all the bat boys, the sisters, hellion etc etc like???

Y'all couldn't even take or respect that elain was so damaged mentally by her body violation + visions that she became a SHELL of herself, to the point the people around her genuinely worried she might had gone crazy and not recover fully; but sure lulu is the one to care for in case his feelings get hurt and he goes depressed or something...

And before words are taken out of context, I don't mean to say he didn't suffered or that I myself don't see how he was affected through his life but common.... You are asking me to spoil this grown man and turn blind eyes at the things I don't like about his character when you yourself could also focus on the younger, equally damaged women on this series that didn't had his money or friendships or high title or status to get them thought it and help heal/get them out of their situation more smoothly. I fucking hate it ‼️

Too tired to draw Lulu's other hand so I'm gonna start talking bout him instead and truth be told, I got... barely anything... (im sorry lulu i... i have a favourite. its alec and ray.) But I got ideas bout his species though so that's something!

Lucifer is a Seraph! In my original universe, Gods are assigned at least 1 Seraphim. The first God that Lucifer served was a God of Humanity (i think... its been a looong while since i last thought bout my og universe), he worked alongside Metatron and was tasked with the passage of souls, Metatron was tasked with the lists of souls, like a book containing names with life expentacies and stuff. Basically Lucifer handled fieldwork and Metatron handled paperwork.

And then shit happened, Lucifer was about to be demoted from Seraph to Angel cuz of gestures vaguely Stuff. But instead got a different punishment in that he'll still be a Seraph, but gets assigned to Satan, which got turned into a God of Hell cuz of the same Stuff. And... I think I got horribly derailed here in what I was supposed to talk bout initially...

ANYWAY SERAPHIM!!! The Seraphim in my og universe have their Actual Form (which is very creechurr of em) and a humanoid form they can change however they like. That same humanoid form also gets changed once they're assigned to a god in that, they change form based on what the god's perception of em are. It could be close to how they chose to look, or far from it and most seraphim chooses to stay in that form as a sign of loyalty. Their Actual Forms can't be changed though, and it also can't be brought into the human realm cuz it'll be dangerous to practically anyone close by who won't be able to handle the pressure of it. It's also really huge.

So my Seraphim's Actual Forms are in a special pocket dimension called an Ephraim (i think..? i forgor... its written in my notes smwhr tho) in which they and the god they're assigned to are the only ones that can enter it. (am drawing lulu's humanoid form. ill try to draw his actual one someday. i got ideas for it. is a monstrosity, affectionately). Annnddd... I think that's all I got rn.

[Spoilers about Eda's storyline below]

Do you know what I love about Owl House?

It's that not only is it extremely lgbt+ representational, and not only does it point out the flaws in organised religion and with a focus especially on the witch hunter era, but it also touches really well on chronic illnesses.

Specifically, I'm talking about Eda's curse.

It started as a teenager, her mother became so overcome with finding a cure for it that she lost the point - that it's Eda's curse, and what Eda wants to do is what should be important - and Eda ended up feeling like she tore her family apart because of simply having a curse.

Now, disregarding the origins of the curse, her arc is extremely relatable for the chronically ill. She can't control it, it gets worse under stress, she's often exhausted because of it, she has to take potions to keep it in a manageable condition, and most of all, it can't be cured.

Even when the curse is halved at the end of season 1, it's not gone, just returns to a stage that is more manageable again. Like having a surgery; it isn't necessarily going to cure you, but it can give you more time, or make your illness more manageable for a while.

Then, again, during season 2 when she accepts her sickness, she says something along the lines of "I may not like it, but you're a part of me", which I think is also mentioned during the episode with her mother. A big part of having a chronic illness is that point where you have to sit down and face the fact that you are sick, and probably always will be sick, and that acceptance is necessary in order to keep going on. It's something very personal and very relatable for a chronic illness sufferer to hear, and on top of that, it was an extremely beautiful scene to watch. I cried many, many tears.

And even as she "levels up" and becomes a harpy-lady, it doesn't stop the curse from having negative side effects - she can still no longer do natural magic, and the curse corrupts natural magic she takes part in. And on top of that, she still has to take potions to keep it under control, and still gets tired out by going into the harpy state. The curse still affects her in negative ways, but accepting the curse means she's able to forgive and allow those parts of herself, instead of rejecting them. That does wonders for your mental health.

Her illness is magical (as per being part of a children's TV show), and can be used to help the plot and spun in that "my illness makes me strong" way, but she's never 'cured' - she simply finds ways to deal with her illness that suit her. Using her illness to fight bad guys, only to become extra tired, is just like what me and my older sister refer to as "mission mode", which I think is something many chronic illness sufferers can relate to - that decision to do The Thing you need to do, while knowing it'll take all your energy for that day - possibly longer -to do it (maybe it's calling the doctor, maybe it's doing housework that has piled up, or going to the corner shop to buy more milk - it could be anything, for anyone).

I just think Eda is a very good example of chronic illnesses and how, even if you can find the right medicine, or get the right surgeries, even if you can live a practically normal life, your illness won't just go away. It stays a part of you, and accepting it doesn't mean you've lost to it. (Granted, season 3 hasn't come out yet, and who knows if she'll be cured then. I actually hope she doesn't get cured!)

Anyhoo, it probably wasn't intentional, but it's something that has made me, and especially my housebound older sister, feel seen. It's just very cool to see it represented in a character as badass and confident as Eda the Owl Lady. And also to see it represented in someone who is regarded as an incredible parent. Disabled people way too often are made to feel like parenthood isn't an option, but she manages it with style, and she's the ultimate bad girl too! Seriously, I've got massive love for this show for so much of its character representation. I could go on for days talking about it!

so i’m interested in one of my coworkers, and i got his number today from my directory at work today since i didn’t see him today to ask him in person (before y’all ask, my other coworker said he’s interested in me as well). i got home and texted his number “hey this is ____, right?” and i’ve been on delivered for 5 hours, and now i’m starting to think i wrote the wrong number and i texted some random stranger 😭

The floodgates have been opened.

There's a lot of ways to play with their dynamic, but the one I find the most intriguing is the two playing the world's longest game of who can one-up the other. They're competitive, clashing, and absolutely confident in their own abilities when they're against each other, like rivals.

Jak's used to being the best. So Ratchet already catches his eye by the fact Ratchet's also got this raw, natural-born talent (and he's a hero too!!!). Jak's a mix between jealous and awestruck. A chance to go against someone that is as good or even better than he is? Sign him up.

Ratchet crashlanding is the funniest route to go. It gives a lot of room for him to have reason to talk to Jak while he fixes his ship to get back in the sky. Jak wouldn't stick around much at first, but he always finds himself coming back. It's not every day you meet an alien that doesn't want to kill you.

Both would keep getting progressively more and more competitive until they finally pull out something that absolutely wows the other.

For Jak, it's Ratchet's weapons. They're wacky, powerful, and amazing. But most of all, he's baffled that the small Lombax can even carry weapons that massive. He's that strong?!

For Ratchet, it's Jak's eco. Both dark and light absolutely impress Ratchet to no end(though he probably favors dark eco's destructive capabilities more). For once, after spending the entire time with his jaw-dropped on the floor at Ratchet's abilities, Jak finally gets to see that look of awe on Ratchet's face instead.

I think realistically Ratchet would be more in tune with his emotions and aware when he's falling for someone. He's pretty obvious about it, but Jak wouldn't know how to react. Jak's not exactly a subtle when he's going for his advances either, but I think the difference between the two is that Jak would struggle to identify whether he's experiencing friendship or if this feeling in his chest is something else. Jak has a pretty one-note thought process of "is girl? is girl pretty? then flirt." so I think he'd have an internal crisis when he's faced with these new feelings towards an alien guy of all people. I can definitely see Jak as the type to have this internalized homophobia, especially when he thinks he has a reputation he has to keep, while Ratchet accepts his feelings easier.

So who falls first? Probably Jak. But who admits they are falling? Ratchet.
