🦉 The 2024 masterlist is finally there!

This masterlist officially (and sadly) marks the end of HP Animagi Week 2024. 

I'd like to give a huge thank you to everyone who took a chance in this fest. Whether you participated as a creator, a beta, a reader, or a cheerleader, this fest wouldn't have been possible without you all, so thank you! Everyone interpreted the prompts with originality and wildly different pairings, it was a delight to read all your stories!

After catching the Snitch and winning the match, there had been interviews and autographs and so many people. Viktor hated the crowds. He hated their frankly creepy adoration. If only he could play Quidditch without all the ridiculous fanfare.

“Next!” someone shouted, and a teenage boy shuffled forward, younger than Viktor with gangly limbs and a freckled face topped by vibrant red hair. He didn’t remember much besides that. He signed the boy’s poster, grunted in acknowledgement when he gushed about Viktor’s Wronski Feint, and turned to the next person in line.

By the end of the session, the faces all blended together. Even the boy’s red hair hadn’t stood out for long. 

Viktor lingered in the shower, the muscles in his neck slowly unknotting. Only then did he look down at his thigh, at the everpresent soulmark there, the weaving black lines on his skin. He’d had it since he was born. It was just another part of him, nothing special, nothing new.

Except for now.

Now, his mark was a mix of vibrant colours. The lightest blues and the deepest purples. Swirling together in a beautiful painting.

He had found his soulmate, and he couldn’t even remember who.

Jellyfish are creatures that tend to go with the flow, but they're also very connected to emotions (being water creatures). They're tied to acceptance and faith, even when there are highs and lows. Oliver finds Percy alone, soft night breeze ruffling the tips of his hair. He’s standing under the hanging flowers, framing him in a background of colour — blues and violets and oranges, honeysuckle and magnolias and clematis.

He’s breathtaking.

“What’re you doing over here?”

Percy whirls around, his elegant cape flaring.

“The hard parts over.” Oliver snuggles up to Percy’s side, and Percy melts into it. “Now comes the fun part. Just relax, enjoy the rest of the night.”

“I am. But everything needs to be perfect.”

“It already is perfect.” He takes Percy’s hand and leaves a kiss atop the glittering ring.

Percy huffs. “Stop trying to distract me.”

“Mmm…” Oliver kisses it again, lips lingering. “Is it working?”

Percy’s breath hitches, and Oliver drags his lips higher, pushing up the sleeve of Percy’s dress robes. He looks gorgeous in blue, the dark colour highlighting the freckles on his flushed cheeks and the brightness of his eyes. Oliver is glad he insisted on Puddlemore United colours for tonight.

“C’mon, we should get back before they miss us too much.” Oliver offers his arm. “Shall we, husband?”

Together, they return to the beer garden where their friends and family are celebrating.
