Intro to Mélomanie

Mélomanie: an excessive and abnormal love and deep attraction to music and melody.

Growing up, I've listened to all different genres of music, and over time I've developped a deep love for music. Being a part of my high school's band, I grew a deep connection with music, using it as an outlet for my emotions and my creativity.

I've created this channel where I can talk about music, and possibly help you find your own connection.

Genres I like: Alternative Rock, Independant, Soul, Romantic

I listen to all decades, my favorites being the 60s to 90s.

Comment devenir mélomane ?

Il faut comprendre que l'instruction correspondante ne peut même pas être imaginée. Après tout, vous ne pouvez pas forcer une personne à apprécier la musique indépendamment de certains genres. Un tel talent peut être, ou une personne vivra sans lui.

Un mélomane devrait régulièrement élargir la vision du monde du propriétaire dans le domaine de la musique. Il doit montrer de l'intérêt pour le travail des autres interprètes. En même temps, il ne devrait pas se concentrer uniquement sur les stars mondiales. Pour ceux qui s'intéressent vraiment à la musique, Melomania est l'un des meilleurs choix. Après tout, dans ce cas, une personne ne se concentrera pas sur un certain style, élargissant ses connaissances.

Un mélomane choisit généralement plusieurs directions musicales intéressantes, en même temps, il écoutera volontiers des compositions d'autres styles. Ce n'est qu'avec le temps qu'une personne se rend compte que le style est moins important que la qualité.

La mélomanie est-elle une maladie ?

En psychologie, l'amour pour une musique différente est perçu comme l'un des types de passivité auditive de la personnalité, qui se manifeste parfois même par une certaine dépendance. Cela se manifeste non seulement par l'écoute régulière de compositions préférées, mais aussi par le désir d'élargir et de mettre à jour sa propre collection musicale. Pour ceux qui s'intéressent à qui est un mélomane, il convient de noter que dans le monde d'aujourd'hui, la manie de la musique est souvent associée à la dépendance à Internet, car vous pouvez trouver et télécharger n'importe quel morceau de musique en ligne.

YLN YN: October 18th, 2000. Due to a lack of financial stability after the loss of her mother, YN dropped out of school after she graduated from high school to work. She lives alone in a cheap apartment building, not far from her two jobs. She works at night at a bar and at a convenience store. Outside of work, she takes free online classes in hope of finding better jobs later. She has a small group of friends she loves deeply and tries to spend as much time with them as possible despite their different schedules.

CHOI YEONJUN: September 13th, 1999. He is YN’s cousin but they only started to really spend time together when he became a regular at the Double Knot. They are now very close and care a lot about each other. She’s also friend with his friends thanks to him and they hang out whenever they can. He’s studying fashion and hopes to start his own brand of clothes one day.

CHOI SOOBIN:  December 5th, 2000. Soobin knows YN from high school but they became friends when Yeonjun introduced his cousin to the rest of his friends. They quickly became best friends and hangs out together alone often – outsiders could easily mistake them for a couple. Soobin works in a flower shop, lives with Yeonjun and his hedgehog Odi, and wants to open a flower-book-coffee shop in the future.

CHOI BEOMGYU: March 13th, 2001. Friend with Yeonjun since high school, Beomgyu is now in his second year of college studying music. He doesn’t really know what he wants to do later, but he knows for sure it has to do with music. He isn’t one to particularly enjoy crowded places but he wouldn’t miss a chance to go to the Double Knot if it allowed him to see YN.

KANG TAEHYUN: February 5th, 2002.Unlike the rest of the group, Taehyun met Yeonjun outside of school, in a skatepark they hung out at a lot a few years ago. Their shared passions for skateboard and music got them closer despite their age gap. Taehyun is now in business studies with a few extra music classes, inspiring to have his own music company later.

HUENING KAI: August 14th, 2002. He met the others thanks to Taehyun (read: he forced Tyun to introduce the others to him because he was sick of listening to his best friend talk about them all the time). YN soon became his favorite person when she won him a plushie at the funfair the day they met. Wanting to work in a healthcare center, Kai is taking classes at a nursery school.  

JUNG WOOYOUNG: November 26th, 1999. Wooyoung moved in the apartment building YN lives at a few months after her, and they instantly clicked when they first met. Turns out he is also friend with Yeonjun and the three of them sometimes do movie marathons at one’s place. Wooyoung comes to the Double Knot often to make sure YN doesn’t overwork herself and to scare mean costumers off.

CHOI ODI: July 10th, 2022. Odi the hedgehog is the mascot of the friend group “5 Idiots & 1 braincell”. The Twitter account is run by Soobin and Yeonjun and most of the tweets are about how Odi is the one who rules in the Choi household. He’s becoming more and more famous through the weeks and a few tweets already went viral – to the delight of his fathers.

+ YN’s PRIVATE: She uses it mostly to talk about her late mother but she also tweets about other little bothers. Only Soobin has it (and he’s the one who suggested the header).

ok, q is always competent, but like, he is something else in these fics. he is like, not just q, but he is like Q the Boss of q-branch. he is like Q, with the full gravitas of an uppercase letter.

1.  I Have To Risk It All by seektheinfinite 

If Q hadn’t been pressing his left hand to the wound in his side in an attempt to stem the blood that was still flowing freely he would have been tempted to give Denbigh a little wave. Instead he settled for what he hoped was a convincing smile as he tapped the last of the code that would render the Nine Eyes network obsolete.

Bringing down Nine Eyes would be a lot easier without a gunshot wound.

q managing to take down nine eyes while suffering from blood loss and a gunshot wound is very impressive ngl. also protective!bond comes into play in this fic.

q being a fantastic quartermaster? yes. i love it when fics put some serious underlining on how dedicated he is to his agents and how compassionate he is, even when he deals with a lot of things that should make him want to put up walls in self defence.

this is such a gorgeous fic. that scene where q completely ignores m’s orders to give up on the agent and just throws off his id when m threatens to sack him is just so good. i squealed so hard when i read that bit. q canonically cares more about his agents than authority and we see it over and over again in the movies and i love how that is shown in this fic.

Hey! omg my first ask, i'm happy.

anyway, yes, I am a writer (not a professional one, of course). I like all genres, but I prefer to write psychological horror, romance and drama. I also love reading and write whump, angst and fluffy.

Short or long form? I don't know how to choose, really. I love reading and writing both.

I'm currently working on a book called Mélomanie (inspired by the movie Amadeus and the BBC miniseries Casanova), which is about an old, embittered musician named Antonin Normandy, who lives alone in a big, dark house. After some events, a young woman named Valentine Weber accepts to work as a maid for him because she needs the job and he needs a maid, and after a while they become good and unexpected friends. From there, Antonin begins to tell the story of his life to his new friend.

I just love this book.
