Hey, y'all! I'm finally back to posting cc and I couldn't be happier about it. Expect at least 1-2 recolors a month from now on! 🌞🌴

DETAILS:

This is a recolor of @madlensims's Elin Outfit. You must download the mesh in order for it to show up in your game.

There are 23 swatches total. It comes in mostly summer themed patterns, with a few wildcards towards the end. You also get 10 of my favorite plain colored swatches from the car park medley palette by @hagsims.

You can see some more CAS previews here and a completely unedited photo (no gshade/no edge smoothing) right here. (I was using colored lighting during my photoshoot and forgot to turn them off, hence the slight purple/pink hue)

If you find any issues with this recolor at all, please let me know and I'll do my best to fix it.

Also, just sayin', this mesh works very well on fat sims. I even tried it with larger custom presets and there was still only minimal clipping! ❤️

9. Does this character remind you of anyone you know? Does that affect how you see them?

Yes, Edgar certainly reminds me someone! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) But not with personality or appearance... I don't know. The VIBE. That person knows i LOVE Edgar, that person can read this post, that person knows that 1-3 times per month I ask him to cosplay Edgar!!!11!

And also after playing Bloodborne I found a type of young men that I call "Edgar". I think almost everyday 1 or 2 Edgars come to flower shop where I work. It's a certain type - 16-30 years old, OFKOS with glasses, very shy, avoids eye contact or STARES into your soul, sometimes edgy, acts weird and tries to pretend everything is okay. LOL. So it's okay if we walk with my husband and I accidentally say "ooh, it's Edgar there again"

13. If you could draw effortlessly and as much as you wanted, what scene (s) would you draw for this character?

I want to draw so much with him... I want to draw him in his childhood, exercing with Gremia who had nothing to do and tried to make little Edgar so sports :D I want to draw him with his auntie Yurie, who he calls "auntie" and she hates it, with Imposter-Iosefka who I call Madlene... I want to draw a shitpost, where Edgar follows Micolash everywhere and Micolash tries to avoid him and discovers that Edgar is yandere xdd I want to draw him as a child that begs everyone to show him Ludwig because he is his hero... T_T I have a sack of ideas but no time to draw them!

14. Are you physically attracted to this character?

I find Edgar extra hot. My type + looks like nerd + my interpretation of his personality

18. Do you prefer to see this character suffer or know peace? Angst or comfort? Both?

Both and much more. He is doomed by a narrative but is really important for the whole story. Edgar gaving suicidal thoughts, addiction to sedatives, personal life problems (he never had a true family, and Yurie hadn't want to be his family when he grew up), Micolash (as a whole problem), unrequites unnecessary painful love to the one who killed you (also Micolash) - okay! But also I really enjoy imagining him being happy having a cool mentor (who is also VERY silly), finding peace in his heart when Micolash is around, being hugged by Damian and more and more!

27. Do you like to ship this character with other characters or do you prefer not to?

Me? Not to ship? LOL

Micolash/Edgar, Damian/Edgar, Yurie/Edgar (in a timeline where they are !!!!!not!!!! relatives), Yurie/Edgar/Imposter Iosefka (also >>>>>NOT BLOOD-RELATED <<<<), Gremia/Edgar, Micolash/Edgar/Damian (as a kind of polyamory), Good Hunter/Edgar - I ship them and like to write/read stuff about it

34. Does this character inspire you with little things in your daily life?

He does!! Actually Edgar for me projects the problem of a "little man" (I am not sure if this termin should sound like that in english. I read that it's mostly from russian literature so idk sorry).

Edgar is not naturally gifted, not really talented. Though he can hear more voices from beyond than anyone else (ability like Rom has, but weaker) but it doesn't help him even a BIT, only annoys and scares. He is just a man with wounded pride, who has many fears, who needs attention, who wants to be loved, to be praised, to feel that someone needs him, know that he worths something.

So yes, he inspires me, I can say everyday! Reminds that every human has a story behind! And we all are just people, and any of us is like a blanket with many patches (if you joke about the last word, I'll mercilessly find you I swear) (<<<<<joke) (for now)

Saki's body guard growing up, Red Rue. Red is a serious guy, but has rare moments where he can be a goofball, and despite his serious exterior, he's really a kind and polite guy.

He's abnormally strong and also good at cooking and cleaning. He's currently 35. He's like an older brother figure to Saki.

I used a Kio head instead of my usual TDA style, because I thought it would actually look more his age. Plus he certainly looks hotter lmao There's an expression to remove his noseline, his sunglasses, and an expression for him to wear his sunglasses instead of resting them atop his head.

He looks best with self shadow off and edgeline off. Unless you need selfshadow or edge for any effects.

Comes with a swimsuit model for fanservice sakes. Equality.

Tamett: What kind of person is your OC in a crisis? Are they calm and collected? Do they panic? Or are they chronically the cause?

Tamett is a pretty chill kid. After years of living with Josiah's family, he's mastered the art of keeping his mouth shut and avoiding drama. So his response to a crisis would likely be to calmly do what he can or else duck out of it. He tends to only shift into panic mode when someone is angry, but his panic mode is very subtle. More like internal screaming.

Rietta: Does your OC have a failed friendship or relationship they still think about? What happened? Is it an unresolved regret or is there a chance for reconciliation?

Rietta hasn't gotten many chances to form friendships, let alone failed ones. Normorot wants her to be good friends with Coleinette, and Rietta has shot that down every chance she's gotten (not that Coleinette hasn't contributed her share of destroying this relationship before it even starts), and she regrets nothing. In fact, she wishes she could have been meaner to Coleinette. Which is dreadful, but Rietta is just as passionate in her dislikes as she is in her love.

On another note, her earliest encounters with Delclis might fall under this category. She would like to get to know him better and become friends, or more than that, and he is not having any of it. She scares him. And she does privately wonder what she could have done or said that would have got through to him.

They're eventually going to have reason to be thrown into each other's company a lot later in the series, so we'll see how that goes.

Rachel: What was your OC's most embarrassing moment? Does it still bother them or are they able to shrug it off?

It probably involved crying in public over something stupid, and it will haunt her for the rest of her life.

Josiah: Is your OC sentimental or pragmatic? Do they keep mementos or only what they need to survive? Have they always been this way or did something happen to make them change?

Josiah is pragmatic by nature. He doesn't have time to have emotions about things. He has better things to do than look at old photos whenever Ateva brings out the albums. He allowed his childhood toys to be taken away and put into storage without batting an eyelash when he was seven. He will amass Stuff but it's always very impersonal things like astronomical instruments or clocks and watches. If something is damaged beyond repair, he will discard it without a second thought.

But he does have a very little sentimental streak in his heart that he has been trying to kill for years. Not so much in regard to objects but with memories. Sometimes he lies awake at night and finds himself imagining a conversation with his mother without realizing he's started doing it. Sometimes he can't stand to be around Mikaiah because it reminds him too much.

Amarantha: How important is friendship to your OC? Do they prefer to have one or two close friends or a large group of casual friends? Or do they prefer their own company over that of others?

It's not really that Amarantha can't make friends or has consciously chosen to cut herself off from making any. But I can't see her having very many friends. There are girls at her day school that she's casually friendly with, but she's so focused on Art that having a social life just doesn't register very high in importance. Besides, she's an only child, and she's used to being her own company.

Large groups of friends will never be her thing, but later she will form close bonds with Elystan and Madlen, and this is very satisfying.

Emenor: Does your OC have an enemy? What happened between them? Is it mutual or one-sided? Is it petty or serious? Is one party seeking revenge? Does one person want the other dead or are they content to hate them from afar? 

Andar Vind, the pupil who has lessons with her violin teacher at the same time as her. Emenor is rather competitive and regards him as her supreme rival. The feeling is mutual. They are constantly trying to one-up each other, to an almost comedic extent. It is very, very petty. No revenge, no wishing each other dead, but Emenor does give Tamett and Josiah detailed updates in her letters of how the rivalry is progressing, like she's writing a gossip column.

Delclis: Has your OC ever had an experience with the paranormal or the divine? What happened? Was it a one time encounter or is it a normal part of their life? Did they find it terrifying or thrilling?

Delclis has never had any experience that could be called properly supernatural, but he does consider the study of science and the discoveries he makes within it to be a religious experience, of sorts.

Elystan: Has your OC ever done something terrible and lied about it? Did they run away or blame someone else for it? How long did they maintain the lie and did the truth ever come out?

Yes, in fact, he has. It's a whole plot point in something, and I can't give away the details, but basically he allows the blame to be shifted to someone else for quite a while, until the truth comes out and he's in huge trouble. Not one of his finer moments, but an opportunity for growth, if he can manage it.

That’s a tough one! But, If I had to choose one person who’s clothes I’m always obsessed with, it’d be Madlen or if we’re talking about hair, it’d be Anto.

27. what’s the farthest you’ve gotten in a challenge? 

I haven’t really done any challenges I can think of. My gameplay was kind of like a legacy challenge but I didn’t even know what that was when I started playing. lol. Oooh or maybe the Bachelor challenge I have going right now! It will be ending soon so I will have completed it! It’s been fun so far! Can’t wait to see who you all vote for!
