MAIN 4 WITH SHY READER WHO IS UNAWARE OF THEIR OBSESSION

Ok let's get to the point 2bdamned is a sadistic, manipulator and also the type to experiment on people.

He is the type of yandere to isolate and drugged them if they were being a bad little grunt.

You met him by getting hired to be a medic for the main 3, since he had enough of them getting killed or injured.

But you being unaware of his obsession, makes this worse for yourself but better for himself. And you being shy is kinda cute to him, even if you lost a limb or something you still look cute to him.

If you were in a relationship with him... idk probably manipulate you alot...but anyway

your pretty shy right, Yeah no when you are around him, you get extremely shy/nervous because not only he looks intimidating but this dude tries to have a conversation with you, like out of thin nowhere...

He hardly talks to you so if he ends up speaking prepare your legs to get wobble like jelly because this man just pops out like jumpscare (joke: "I love a kind a women that would actually just kill me" "HUH!?")

But of course he's a yandere so he's going go isolate you in his lab or your room, but would never let you go to his room or outside of S.Q, except for missions.

He won't let you talk to your friends by making you work more in the lab or send you on dangerous missions just to make you stay with him longer, and you only thought he needed help when he doesn't actually need help... ok maybe but not really.

when you try to patch hank or the others, he would join In to "help" you while glaring at hank or the others, and hank seems to know 2bdamned obsessions over you but you don't know that..

Sometimes he would drug you for being bad or failing a mission by faking saying it's medicine for your pain or for your injuries.

Remember when I said he would experiment on people, I wasn't lying he would do it, especially on you but not too much, he would drug you and take you to his private lab for no one can watch him do it... it's only you and him...

But when you do find out 2bdamned gives up and shows is true side as he hreatens you by using drugs or some fuck up shit, but only if you try anything funny...

Sometimes would purposely remove your stitches and let you bleed out until your close to passing out or death...

2bdamned will manipulate your friends to turn against you, just to make you trust him instead of those your so called friends

So he treats you like a lover until you become aware and rebellious

But he won't lie he loves a kinda women/guy that Would actually just kill him

DEIMOS

Oh boy this man is hard to tell if he's obsessed because his yandere is the same only he kinda clingy when things don't go his way

He is the type of yandere who is delusional but also steals small things from you and make a shrine(jebus lord what the fu-)

Now if you were in a relationship with him, you wouldn't even notice him being a yandere or anything until you spot a shrine("deimos what is that in your room..." "your smoothie")

Deimos is good at hiding things(kinda) from everyone including from 2bdamned... but 2bdamned will finds out like a stalker he is.

When 2bdamned hired you, deimos was the first one to talk to you and when you stuttered or looked nervous, he immediately thought he met an angel as you get flustered and nervous.

Everytime you Two go on a mission he would make small flirts and compliments as you get flustered like a red tomato.

But deep down those compliments and flirts is a demonic pyro-maniac ready to burn your love ones to ashes...

This dude already knows your unaware and he thinks your shyness and you being really unaware about this, is really cute and innocent...

This guy omg is the one who will never leave you alone, but hey atleast he doesn't kill your friends...until they catch him In the act...

Deimos knows how to manipulate your friends, he's 2bdamned 2.0 but little stupid...

When your talking to your friends, deimos would glare at them, but wouldn't go further than that, unless you leave them...

Deimos, would try to brush off Sanford, since Sanford knows Deimos more than anyone and he is aware of the obsession going on...

Honestly Sanford will feel bad for you and can't stop this situation anymore... your on your own buddy

Now remember buddy. Deimos is a pyro-maniac, so he also has punishments in his sleeves...

However you become aware when you find him killing your friends and boy oh boy you better be faster than him because he's a menace now...

If this grunt ever managed to catch you, your fucked(no not like that) I meant your gonna get punished,this dude will burn your skin, he even will make a burn mark on your skin to show you been very naughty grunt....

Now if you keep being naughty, deimos will kill one of your friends as punishment and you if keep going he might just kill ever friend you have...

He hates when you act rebellious but he does like you to cower in fear, it reminds him of your shyness

He constantly threatens to kills, choke, you and more...

If there one thing both 2bdamned and deimos have in common is definitely isolating you in a room...

Oh lord.... now Sanford is a torturer and sadistic...I think... but lord have mercy on you because you ain't escaping honey...

He's the type of yandere to torturer and chop your leg off but hey... doc can't have that so consider yourself lucky...

If you were in a relationship with him, Sanford would've been nice to you but rude to ti others except for deimos... he's cool...

When you got hired by 2bdamned himself, Sanford was the second to speak as he thought your nervous and Suttering words was funny and adorable...

When you go on missions with him, he mostly either show off, and be loud as always but also... watching you

You only assume that he was just protecting you since you were the support of the team...

Now Sanford isn't a stalker but he would stalk you when you go out somewhere he doesn't know...

If you have friends Sanford will watch and if they get too close to you, Sanford will join in while glaring at them when your not looking..

Now even Sanford can make mistakes like one time he tried to enter your room just to see you and you woke up

Lucky for him, he knew how to lie and you were convinced... ("Sanford why are you in my room..." "I had a nightmare..." "oh")

Now Sanford is like a of one those slashers killers like he kills your friends one by one in the most gruesome way and you won't even know it until Sanford said something really creepy

This is probably how you get aware of his obsession...

Now deimos will notice and try to tell Sanford what he's doing Is creepy and very uncool but Sanford will try to reassure him or brush it off...

Deimos will actually help you but Sanford will catch on and will try different methods for deimos won't be a problem...(he doesn't want to hurt deimos)

Now Sanford may be dumb but he's NOT stupid... this grunt has his own ways to punish and capture you...

If you try to escape prepare to have a broken leg for a damn week that will feel like a month... and punishments are the most freakiest thing ever... ok not that freeky but its fucked up....

Sometimes will bring one of your friends, alive and torture them infront of you as you either cry, beg, or try to stop him... but it doesn't matter because he won't listen...

Don't even try to manipulate him, it won't work....

All this wouldn't have happened,if you just stayed unaware forever....

Now 2bdamned doesn't care but would make sure hank doesn't plan on anything to harm or do something to you...after all your one his workers

When Sanford and deimos try to reason with hank, he of course doesn't care. But when you try to reason with him, he still didn't care but will show his full obsession over you as you cringed and felt disturbed...

Now we know how this ends, but if hank won he would had let you live but if you try to stop him futher, say bye bye to your legs honey...

But since Sanford and deimos won, you try to distance yourself away from hank but my man is going to make you suffer

Phobos' Reaction to a Shy!Player

(TW: Yandere, Obsessive Behavior, Referenced Violence)

The moment you first show some signs of extreme shyness, Phobos’ concern is obvious. The sight of you ducking behind him when two of his agents passed by made him wonder if they'd committed the sin of scaring you in some way.

He’ll ask you about it in a soft manner, ever polite and gentlemanly. “Have my men done anything to make you wary, Your Grace? I assure you, I’ll punish them appropriately for their transgression, whatever it might be."

(Perhaps he was a little too convinced that they did something. But the Director couldn’t stand for anyone or anything making you too scared to be there at the Nexus’ headquarters, too scared to be near him. Plus, he couldn’t stand it if these nobodies made his organization look bad to you. Not when all of this was for your favor.)

You wave your hands and try to assuage his concern, explaining that you were just a bit overwhelmed by others’ attention and that his personnel weren’t at fault for anything. (Luckily for them.) The Director merely hummed in response, but you could tell he was put at ease by the way his hand fell from the pommel of the sword at his side.

After that, however, Phobos learns to appreciate your shyness each time it rears its head. The way it causes you to go to him for comfort is something he can’t help but adore, not only because it serves him with that attention from you he so craves, but also because it shows just how much you trust him.

Really, it’s enough to make him swoon. Witnessing his God showing so much faith in him and his capabilities, seeing how you go to him and him alone for comfort—it's far more than any simple vessel of yours could hope for.

Phobos will do his best to ensure that you never regret your choice, and he’ll be infinitely welcoming and understanding whenever you feel the need to escape from others’ attention.

He’ll place himself between you and anyone else who enters your vicinity, acting as a barrier should you not want to spend your time mingling with his lessers. (Besides, he really doesn’t think that they deserve an inkling of your attention anyway, even if they are his underlings.)

If you do decide to socialize, he’ll try to keep you close regardless. He figures it would be best to do so in case anyone tries to get too comfortable around you or dares to upset you.

Needless to say, the workers of the Nexus Core are never truly at ease whenever they’re around you; it’s impossible to be. Not when their Director is leering in their direction like he’s a second away from violently lunging at them. And they honestly believe Phobos enjoys the discomfort they feel around him. (And they’d be right.)

On the off chance that Phobos cannot accompany you, he’ll have one of his officers do it instead (likely a Tower Guard or another one of his more powerful units). They’ll be under strict orders concerning their treatment of you, of course.

Phobos absolutely loves it when you hide away in his office to get some proper peace and quiet. Just being able to look up from his work and see you lazing about on the seat closest to his or reading a book he’s gifted you makes him feel all the more warm in your presence. Perhaps it’s the joy of being in your sphere, or simply the gratefulness he has that you chose him and his place as your getaway, but the butterflies in his chest can’t seem to die down when you’re so close.

He’ll encourage you to stay more often and for longer each time you drop by. Phobos will also use a myriad of reasons to try to convince you if you hesitate; whether it be his need for your tactical knowledge or him “accidentally” ordering someone to bring your favorite snacks/drink to his office before you even entered. Either way, you’ll find yourself having some obligation to spend more time with him. Not like you mind it that much; Phobos is surprisingly good company (to you, at least), and it stops you from having to mingle with others when you don’t wish to.

Overall, Phobos is surprisingly soft and doting when faced with your shyness - even affectionate (and clingy) at times. However, that's to be expected; it's a side only you could ever bring out of him, after all. For the Director of the Nexus Core, treating you any different would be a crime worthy of the worst consequences imaginable.

”Oh thank you player” I say as the player put a (favorite/color) nail polish on me, "But can I ask what is my roll in the 'game' " I question "or in general" The player smiled as twirled some of their hair " You where the healer, though not good with weapons enemies calmed down and didn't attack as frequently or hard, and allies gained health faster and get there health boxes back if lost" I think about it for a second before nodding "Don't tell the others" They said looking at me "But you were always my favorite" If I had a mouth I think I would be smiling "Really, well that why you always took control over me whenever you could" looking at the time I start to panic "I'm sorry player but I must get going, I have a mission soon" "Its fine, go ahead i'll be waiting" I wave as I rush out the room.

The player was aware most of the boys liked them, but they never liked any of them back, but they were a shipper. In the real world they read lots of madness combat characters x (y/n), hell they read one where they got a yandere harem of the others 'That was there favorite' but how should they go to get the others to fall in love with them.

Have Hank save them on a mission,

Sanford and Deminos get hurt on a mission and they help heal them,

They help 2BDammed fix someone up,

Maybe Tricky takes them and likes there calming effect,

Jeb helps them save a grunt,

They protect the Sheriff from a threat,

They heal the Auditor even though they know he is the enemy,

Or maybe they aren't scared of Phobos he take an interest in them,

Oh the possibilities are endless, when the player was positive no one was coming they went to there closet, inside was many papers some with drawings others with writing, there own fanfictions and fanart. They suddenly had an idea, pulling up the menu screen they did a little coding making it so the others had the feelings they felt towards the player go to (y/n) 'good thing I learned how to code' they thought more so happy they can see there ships sail.

Well.. Living with the grunts was certainly something.. Now you weren’t alone, but you’re not sure if it’s a bad thing or a good thing.

Hank.. Hank is chaotic, Absolutely clings to you whenever he can, and it really is something! He follows you around the house all the time, almost like a cat- He’s also protective, and won’t stop giving the others silent DEATH THREATS when they are just trying to hang out with you.

Deimos was good, It’s fun to sit down and watch some silly horror 3d model movie in your room and laughing at it, He’s definitely a little clingy aswell but.. definitely not as bad as hank, if anything. You're working on the smoking thing with him, thankfully! it really isn't healthy.

Sanford was a great roommate, not only cooks, but is an absolute sweetheart.. He gives good hugs, and y'know, spends movie nights with you and dei, It's fun! He's way more tame compared to the other two. Would cuddle again.

2BDamned is someone who spends his time.. doing his thing, i guess? He's always doing something, but doesn't hesitate to pause it to talk to you, it really is sweet, you hang around the room he stays in while chatting, every once in a while continuing your studies with him and all that.

SO. I probably make more parts like this. Like a story? idk But yes, the story is basically the MPN characters end up in Players world. But I guess I write it more like in a fanfic style? WELL, enjoy!

It was just a normal night as always for you. Working at the bar, mixing drinks, and talking to the customers. You were working as a bartender for a few months now, and so far liked the job! Sure, sometimes some of the customers got a bit to drunk, and aggressive, but you had some nice coworkers who always took care of them for you. Which you were thankful for. You surely couldn't handle old 6'3 Clarence when he had a drink to much, and looked for trouble. Tonight though was a calm one. And while you were enjoying your work, you couldn't wait to get home, and start your stream to continue playing your new favorite game with your chat. Madness Project Nexus. You have played it for a while now, and got to love the characters and the story. Even the arena mode had you hooked. But you still had a few more hours until you could finally go home. You were just about mixing up a drink, a tequila sunrise, for a customer... before the whole bar suddenly went black, and silent.

The music, that had previously filled the place was off, and so was the light... A blackout? That's just what you needed today... Hopefully it was just in the bar. If you also had no power in your apartment then there is no chance you are going to be able to stream later. You, and your coworkers tried to turn on the power again, after calming down the customers, but it was no use. And taking a step outside made it clear that you were not the only ones sitting in the dark now. Apparently the whole city didn't had any power. And with no power, the customers soon left, and your boss send you, and your coworkers on your way home. While you were happy to get off work earlier than planned, you were sad that your plans for after your shift were canceled now. You still went home anyway of course. But as you wandered through the streets something felt... off. It's was kind of creepy, sure, with all the street lights being off. But that wasn't why it felt strange to you. It rather felt like as if you were being watched. Yet when you looked around there was no one to see. You still walked a bit faster until you reached your apartment building, and finally slipped into your apartment.

The feeling of being watched disappeared at that point. Thankfully. But now you stood in the complete darkness of your apartment. Of course you had no power either, yet you still had tried to switch on the light. Sighning to yourself, you switch on the flashlight of your phone, and went immediately to the kitchen. You couldn't exactly cook anything either, so you just settled with a simple sandwich for dinner. Better than nothing, right? When you have finished dinner, you went to your bedroom. With no tv, pc or internet you could also just go to sleep already you guessed. But when you entered your bedroom... you stopped in your tracks. Your pc... it was running?!? You could clearly see it on the RGB lights of the pc itself, and from your keyboard, that illuminated the room. But the power was off! That's not possible! Slowly you stepped closer to the device. The desktop was still turned off and black. So you pressed the button on it to try turning it also on. Perhaps the power was back. But how did your pc turn on by itself? The desktop finally came to life, but all you could see on it was some green code in the left upper corner. It's a bunch of numbers, and you have no idea what it was suppose to mean. You pulled out your phone to take a picture of the code, to show someone who knows more about the whole code-stuff more later, but suddenly your computer turned completely off, and you stared at the now black screen in complete darkness. Alright. This was all to fucking strange. You rubbed your eyes for a moment, before looking at the screen again. Still black. Were you perhaps so tired that you were imagining things? Maybe it was a good idea to go to bed already. So you put on your pajamas, before snuggling into the covers. And with the sound of many police and ambulance sirens in the distance, you slowly fell asleep. At least you get a free day off tomorrow. And if the power is back on in that time, you can make it up to your followers and stream a bit longer.

Unknown to you yet, a lot was going on this night in a not to far away part of the city. Not just the blackout had happened. Police and ambulance cars were parked in the middle of a place of the city that consisted mostly of warehouses. The police had gotten reports from civilans that they heard shootings and explosions from there shortly after the power was gone. And as they arrived, one of the warehouses was in flames. Firefighters soon tried to extenguish the flames before they could hop over to the other warehouses, and possibly the houses that weren't to far away. And in all that chaos a small group of four men, were sneaking away from the burning building. Some of them were injured, but nothing to serious. A few burns, some bullet holes. They were completely unfamilar with their surroundings, but at least 2BD was sure that they shouldn't be seen by those people in uniforms, and leaded Hank, Deimos, and Sanford away from that burning place in which they had fought not even an hour ago.

Their mission should have gone completely different. Doc had hacked into the AAHW's network, and into the Auditor's personal computer, and found strange information. Well, he did found a lot of information about you, their player. The being that had helped them through so many obstacles. But he, and his team had already seen this information about you, it was nothing new. No, what caught his eye was inormation about something the Auditor, and the other Employer were building. A machine... to get to you. To bring you to Nevada, and have you in their hands. The moment Doc got this information, he immediately made a plan to infiltrate the AAHW HQ, in which the Auditor resided, and break the machine and the plans for it that the employer were building, before it was finished. If it wasn't finished already. Of course Hank, and the other two mercenaries had been eager to carry out that plan, the moment 2BD mentioned you. So they had immediately travelled to the AAHW HQ. It was risky because Doc hadn't had enough time to make a well thought out plan, but they didn't had any time. And this was about you. They couldn't let the employer get their hands on their precious player. And as they had arrived, and fought their way through the building to reach the machine, and the Employers, it was as they had feared. The machine was complete, and the Auditor and his brothers were about to activate it, and carry out their plan to bring the player to Nevada. Or at least it had seemed so. The Auditor was aware that you hadn't been in the room in which he had seen you in, and stream from over your webcam. And he didn't wanted to risk to activate the machine to early before he was completely sure you were there, and close enough for him to take you with him back to Nevada.

But the moment Hank, and the rest of his team showed up there was no time to wait for you to return. Usually he was the one who would not act on a whim, but this was different. This might be the only chance he had to finally meet you eye to eye. To finally have you on his side where you belonged. So he had activated it. But something had went wrong. He doesn't knows if it was because they had rushed it, or because of the fight that had occured between his agents, and the SQ. Instead of just him being transported to your world to look for you, some of his agents, his brother, and the four of the SQ had been also pulled into the portal from the machine. That wasn't the only thing that had gone wrong though. His destination had been your room, but instead they had ended up in a complete different place. A very big hall, with shelves that went almost to the roof, and filled with different sizes of packages. He wasn't familar with this place. He had never seen it from your webcam. How could they have strayed so far from their destination? Though that wasn't the only problem. The portal had closed behind them. And after a short moment of confusion the fight between them and Hank's team had continued until the building had caught fire. The Employers, and the few agents who hadn't been killed yet had fled the scene as well, just like Hank and his team. Thankfully they had went in two different directions, so they couldn't continue the fight. They didn't had time for that anyway. They needed to find you, and a way back to Nevada. And of course, the four mercenaries had the same goal.

They are going to find you.

Ok so deimos likes you, and screams to get your attention, and will want your affection, he's definitely not trying to make player jealous.

Sanford is likely to be your personal therapist, and a good boy, both player and Sanford get along but won't play much, depending if you prefer player to be small dog.

Despite you being a "God" in their world, your still a fragile human and phobos knows...

He even might try to break the game rules if he has to...

Viewer(aka you, again) isn't from the game we all know but the cartoon series we all know, as their ability is to rewind or go forward like a viewer...

Viewer can pause and move around but can't move the characters in the series...

However, when player pauses the game they can't move only go on menu but, for viewer it's quite the opposite...

But unlike player being called a God, viewer is call a parasite or a unknown entity in their cartoon world...

Now phobos can easily take advantage of viewer because viewer can't fight back...

But phobos would also be enraged, because viewer can just rewind the video and basically not let phobos capture them...

But then again viewers are more weaker and fragile than player, and it takes them like a few minutes or more to pause or rewind the video...

Just like any other phobos he wants you to worship him and force you into a relationship but it would be more of a... crazier than the game version of phobos...

Both phobos are the same but cartoon would be the worst...trust me viewer can fight or do anything so if viewer is trapped and can't use their rewind ability...their fucked...

Main Madcom Gang (Hank, 2bdamned, Deimos and Sanford) Reaction to the Eldritch!Player + BONUS at the end

(It's random honestly and I am not good at writing so if this bad. I understand the judgements eeee...I am sorry for any ooc writing. This is why I am a reader instead of a writer)

- Hank J. Wimbleton, An infamous nevadian. Understandably, He'd hostile as the appearance of the Eldritch!Player is off putting. Especially that they don't radiate any warmth of aura that the player they know. It's just cold, emptiness and dread aura that not even he'd get used to.  Out of all the things he has faced and fought from a Zombie clown to an Employeer, Hell... Even Himself. This is the one person that He'd choose not to mess with.

- Deimos, He'd obviously one would expressively freak out at this player. He wouldn't believe that they were a player until feeling the strings attached to him confirms that they are another player. It wasn't warm... It was freezing. He questions why is this one so unsettling to begin with... Were they always like this? He may only met one player and that's the nice one but this one screams "danger" even from a distance.

- Sanford. He could only stand in fear as He stared back at the "Player" infront of him. Can He even call them that? He knows that the other player he met and know looks different from himself and nevadians but this one is unnaturally different that scares him. From the mouth that's somewhat attached to one another, An open mouth cavity that has teeth to eyes on their arms that can stare back at him.

- 2bdammed. He already sees them as a threat due to their unnatural appearance and power alone, Not only surpassing the Player that he knows... It's reaching levels that could be a threat to the entire land of Nevada as a whole. He fears that this "Player" could take on The Maker if they wish or planned to. Overall, He refuse to trust them as their motives are questionable on what they are planning.

BONUS! Headcanon for The Terrifying Eldritch!Player but It's random.

- Their motives is questionable to say the least but it's not known what their goal is to do with the people within the world of Madness Combat, Just answering with "It will be their downfall or ours..."

- Seems to be finding The Player that entered the hell hole that is Nevada. Sure, They can use their powers as they wish but where is the fun of slowly approaching their prey?

- There are followers of the Eldritch that are from the far land of Nevada. They are worst than the Fanatics and are NOT to be messed with.

- They are Tall.

- Hides their face behind a large hat and veil as the eyes around on either arms are closed, making it look like they have many scars. No, They refuse to share their hat.

- Can disguise themselves as a normal being or grunt if wished to do so but keeps the Hat with the veil. What? They like the hat. HAT STAYS ON.

- Out of all the things in Nevada. They seem to enjoy the Romps (even the Star), No explanation on what reason on why they like them. Maybe that they look out of place in the crossed face world? Hmmm...

Hi coming in with another silly idea Imagine that the Player is in early Nevada, and around the time Nexus is supposed to fall they fall into a type of coma. Jeb goes through with his plan (painfully without the player by his side), Hofnarr turns into Tricky with his last thoughts begging for the Player to come back. Phobos' fight being much more easy due to the fact he thinks his god abandoned him. Then the Player comes back like "hey sorry about that" and Jeb starts wailing while Tricky goes YIPPEE and runs around them like an excited dog.

Why is everything you draw so cute omg 😭, everyone is so adorable here. It's honestly a little weird to see the Employers look so huggable, I love it.

To actually get into the scenario though, my thoughts on this are far too long to make it into a normal ask response, so you're getting some sort of unofficial hcs instead lol. Enjoy!

<The Player Falls into a Coma before the Fall> ft. Jebus, Hofnarr/Tricky, the Employers & Phobos

There was no warning for your sudden coma whatsoever. At most, you felt a tad more exhausted than usual at the end of the day, but this can be attributed to many different things, so of course you wouldn't worry about it. Neither would anyone else either, for that matter.

You had absolutely no idea that when you slowly fell asleep that night, you wouldn't be waking up again for a very long time.

It certainly wouldn’t take long for those you know to find out about your condition either. For one, Hofnarr and Jeb would want to recap their plan with you before going through with it, so naturally they stopped by for that. However, they find you unconscious and completely unresponsive to their every attempt to wake you. To make matters worse, there isn't a sign that you'd been awake at all in the past few days; the buildup of dust on your furniture and the letters in your mailbox shows as much.

Despite their worry, they’d eventually have to leave your side, if only to get more medical supplies and other things to help you. This opens up a window for the others in your life to finally take action, those being the Employers.

The shadowy figures had been keeping tabs on you all the time, so when you just didn't wake up, they would probably be the first to know - even if their actions came second to the Nexus Scientist's.

(You didn’t send the Deliberator a “good morning” text and he started panicking. What could possibly be so bad that you didn't speak to him? A cursory call to the worried AAHW agents the Auditor had sent to tail you was proof enough that you'd deviated from your usual schedule, and you weren't the type to ever be late.)

They were quick to take you from your home and to a more secret place, so that they could keep close observation over you.

Honestly, despite how much the Employers might brag about knowing you better than anyone else (a privilege they gained from being the first to realize your existence), they truly know little about your anatomy. However, they can tell that sleeping for full days isn't normal at all, judging by your previous behavior.

They're also far too stubborn to ask any other mortals for help as well, so they simply resigned to try to help you themselves while keeping you safe with them. They couldn't do much else, so hopefully you'd understand that once you awoke in a strange place.

Nevada rots without your guidance and the grunts you were close to were left reeling by this (unintentional) abandonment you committed.

Phobos loses much of his drive due to his own emotional frailty as he grappled with his uncharacteristic self-doubt and questioning. As it happens, this also makes him more zealous as well. In his last moments, he has a second wind, believing that if he just fights hard enough, you might decide to come back and help him in his battle against Christoff. (But you don't. You couldn't.)

Jebus' feelings are surprisingly parallel to the Director's in terms of worship and near zealotry. Except, he believes it might be his fault that you left, which only increases the fervor he has to complete his plans. It will be painful without you there, but this agony is his repentance for the sins which he has wronged you with. It is only through this that he believes you might show your presence once more, even if it’s not now.

Unfortunately, Hofnarr's transformation into Tricky was just as painful as it would be otherwise, and the pain of abandonment just makes it worse. Funny, how the pictures taken of you with him and Christoff were miraculously unscathed within Hofnarr's lab even after Tricky came to be. The zombified clown must have found some value in them, even if he couldn’t remember the complete reason why he felt so warm when he looked at them.

Of course, you did actually awaken eventually. You had no idea how much time had passed when you woke up, so seeing the Employers look so uncharacteristically worried when you woke up was really odd. You honestly think they’d be weepy if they had the ability to cry.

You really didn’t know how to react to the news that you’d essentially been in a coma for thirty years. Your first course of action is to find Jeb and Tricky to find out what actually happened since you feared your early appearance might’ve had an impact on the timeline regarding Nevada’s fall. This leads to very different reactions.

Jeb isn't one to typically show much vulnerability, but seeing you again completely shatters those walls he's kept up for so long. At first, he thinks you're just a hallucination; the culmination of all the longing he has for you finally taking its toll on his broken mind as almost a cruel joke. 

The first words he speaks to you after thirty years is a short, "You're not real", said as more of an insistence to himself than anything. But when he comes closer and you don’t disappear, and he reaches out a trembling hand to rest lightly on your shoulder, and you stay, he just breaks. The warmth of your form washes over him like it used to, and suddenly he feels an uncomfortable tightness well up in his throat as tears gather in his eyes.

You reach up to hold his taller form closer to you, sinking to the ground with him as he buries his face into your neck and sobs. His hold on you is soft, and his hands are still shaky; he's holding you like he's scared of shattering you, and he only gets weaker when you whisper soothing words and apologies to him.

Compared to Jebus, your meeting with Tricky was a lot more upbeat. It’s probably because he was spared much of the reflection and sorrow that Jeb went through due to his rather unstable mental state, but that didn’t stop him from somehow recognizing you. It’s almost like a switch flipped in his mind, and he went from violently slamming his sign into some poor grunt's face to freezing at the sight of your face.

He then tosses the sign away and almost launches himself at you to envelop you in a tight bear hug, screaming excitedly while you grin back rather tiredly. (You hope your eardrums will be okay after this.) But in the next second, he's whirling away from you, flailing his hands as he continues to talk.

It’s like being greeted by your dog after being away for months; he never stops moving or asking hurried questions about where you’ve been, intermittent with little words about how much he’s missed you.

Both Jeb and Tricky are very clingy after this. Even if they don't get along now, they're not willing to let you leave their sides after this, especially not when you go to sleep. (What if you fall into a coma again? Someone has to be there to take care of you.)

Deep down, they also have a striking suspicion that someone was behind your coma. They didn't know who exactly, but there was no other explanation to them than this. How else would you, Nevada's most powerful being, fall into such a state?

(In the near future, when you come across Hank and the others, let's just say that your scientists won't be deterred from leaving your side quite so easily. You'd been gone for thirty years, so you should only expect their companionship to remain more permanent for the coming years.)
