Juanito almost looks like a replica of his papa, but he behaves oppositely to Camilo. He's the little angel. He's a soft little boy, very sweet, very timid and humble, and he's so attached to his mami. He's never mischievous like his dad and his older siblings. That's how he is, even while he is growing up.

He randomly stares at his papa for long periods and loves watching him perform.

He loves copying his brother Carlos' power just to turn himself into a cat. (In the future)

unpopular encanto opinion?

if we ever get new content (manifesting) I wouldn’t reply want it to be about “mirabels kids” or what not. I think it would be cool to continue the story from where it ended or not long afterwards. Like idk encanto to me is the kinda movie that had its character dynamics really carry the movie and there’s still so much we don’t know about this family. Skipping to a new generation would mean having to familiarize ourselves with different characters and also a giant time skip would mean we would know literally nothing about the current characters. I wanna see how the triplets adjusted to bruno being back in the family, how alma learned to change and grow with the help of her family, how the sisters are doing now that they can have a healthy relationship with one another, how dolores is feeling now that she has Mariano to support her, how camilo is finding himself. Like there’s just SO MUCH potential within the original story i wouldnt feel that it’s right to just cast that aside for a new generation

Encanto: Madrigal Family Relationship Analysis Part 26 - Camilo and Dolores

The duo doesn't get much screentime but I believe they have a surprisingly healthy sibling dynamic. In stark contrast to Mirabel and Isabela's relationship, neither of them have any hidden resentments or harsh feelings for each other. Dolores seemed unbothered (or if she was, only very slightly) by Camilo shapeshifting into her to get seconds. And when Dolores was stressing out about Mirabel's secret, she immediately told Camilo when able to; yeah, he was literally the closest but it does hint at a level of closeness. I believe they have a very healthy, close, even nuanced brother-sister dynamic: Yes, Dolores can and does find Camilo's antics annoying at times and the latter does enjoy teasing the former but they have a high amount of respect for one another. They're able to talk freely and openly one another, trade sarcastic barbs, and so forth with little to no drama. Also, when the house was breaking down, you can see Dolores protectively shielding Camilo from the debris; and I highly think that Camilo would make sure Mariano's courtship of his sister was real. And like their father, despite his silliness, Camilo would try and be sensitive to Dolores' superhearing and immediately apologize if he took it too far. They are both close siblings and best friends.

Older siblings in media are so often misunderstood. Either adored or hated, but never an in-between. The pressure is always there, never enough or too much.

It’s the Steven Crain’s who are hated, the Fiona Gallagher’s who are forced onto a pedestal, the Dick Grayson’s who are reduced to nothing but their mistakes and issues, the John Dory’s who is only ever the oppressor and never the oppressed, the Isabela Madrigal’s who are considered vain and self centered.

It’s the eldest child who has no one on their team because they are the leader, and that is either meant to be taken from them or only ever for them.

It’s the Kate Sharma’s and the Anthony Bridgerton’s. It’s the Bill Weasley’s and it’s the Dean Winchester’s. It’s the Eric Matthew’s and it’s the Elsa’s.

The eldest sibling whose mistakes are over analyzed or completely ignored, who are never seen as humans because they are something to claim or destroy. The first born who is never understood in media or by fans, maybe it’s because acknowledging the fact that they’re human means they aren’t perfect is too much. Or maybe it’s because acknowledge that they are human and therefore cannot be defined by their mistakes and the weight they carry is too much.

They are not allowed to be perfect and yet if they are anything but perfect the world would riot.

Paulina's trying to make her a big flower crown while Carlos and Armando are serenading their mother with their made-up song.🥰😘 And yes, I never mentioned they had a fourth baby🤭 I’ve been away for so long because I haven’t been feeling well and have gone through rougher days. My move to the city was also quite an adjustment. But after some rest on our term break, I feel a bit better now. I’ll try to make progress.
