Why didn’t I think of that earlier I literally have a version of howdy inspired by beetlejuice HDHFHHDMD-
If I had a nickel for every time I got a ask asking some shippy stuff with Robbie and Frank- I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but weird that it happened twice JDHDH
also bonus colt from the mini convo we had @thelone-copper JDHDHDHDH
in the high school au do sasuke and hinata just pretend their families aren't rival mafias when they meet up in the hallways? (i just need fugaku and hiashi as mob bosses lol)
But! Fugaku is a cop! 🐷
I also want Hiashi to have a really silly job! As in a super normal job that he gets far too serious about it and it makes him look silly.
Hyuuga Bakery and Sweets. Hizashi can live a soft daily life happily with his talented angsty teen son, competitive brother and two beautiful nieces!
i feel like the discussion around the amount of 'plotless' smut in fiction right now with the rise of booktok is centered in the wrong tangent. erotica has existed for a very long time. pornographic content with poor narratives is common because it's quick to produce and the demand is big. sex can serve as a narrative device. the 'porn addiction' excuse... meh, kinda lame. the only issue here is that it is badly written. good plot, bad plot, or no plot at all, none of them will work if the writing is bad.
please elaborate on what you said a while back about dazai not realizing he loved chuuya back until their WEDDING?? i have to know the story there
dazai has a very long and complicated relationship with love as an emotion. which is to say, he didn't get a lot of it. he is a child of emotional neglect and so never knew what love was meant to feel like. through various events in his formative years, by the time mori found him, dazai was already convinced that he was both incapable of love and a being unable to be loved.
the mafia did not help this. all but a select few saw dazai as he sees himself: not human. he is a wraith, the demon prodigy, soulless. mori also pushed him to be that demon as well; making sure he relied on little to no emotion and simply on logic and theory.
dazai did not even know he physically could love until he was nineteen -- a year after he killed mori and ascended to port mafia boss. the environments he lived in from childhood all the way up to adulthood had virtually stunted his emotional growth. dazai does not know how to recognize what love feels like.
chuuya, however, does. he knows dazai loves him, even if he has never said it or expressed intentionally that he does. chuuya knows that there is no one else for him but dazai. and when he's proposed to, dazai knows there is no one else for him but chuuya. but it's always been that way for them. this is a verse where they never part, where chuuya becomes dazai's righthand and is instrumental in reforming the mafia with him. this is a verse where double black continues on, growing stronger together. so yeah, it makes sense to dazai that the only one he could ever be with is chuuya.
but does he consider that love? well, not right away. he's still very logic oriented and it does take logical facts to make someone who has never known love to understand that what they are feeling is actually love. and it's only on his wedding day he is given an indisputable truth that makes him realize his true feelings for chuuya: you marry the person you love.
